Most delicious Greek food!! Drive Thru is always fast! Dolmades - Fresh and tasty Greek Fries- Ask for a side of the Greek dressing or tzatziki and you will have the French Fry Heaven Gyro- This thing is the big mac of Gyros - its packed with all the goodies Seasonal: Fall/Winter - The Avgolomono soup- Lemon Orzo chicken soup- this stuff hits the spot.
So I ordered Z's through Postmates tonight. I ordered a lamb souvlaki plate and a side of falafel. I immediately get a call from Postmates customer service: I can't get the plate, because they're out of rice and potatoes. HOW does a restaurant run out of rice AND potatoes??? These are staples! I ended up switching my order to a lamb souvlaki pita sandwich. It was okay. It had maybe three pieces of lamb, and lots of vegetables. The vegetables were fresh, but there were too many conflicting flavors going on. My tongue was very confused by the whole experience. It was the gastronomic equivalent of one of those big-budget 3D movies that have no plot. I probably would have enjoyed my meal better had it been in plate form, as I originally ordered. So I might give this place another shot. I did not like the falafel at all, nor the garlic tahina sauce that came with it. I thought it tasted bad. I like my falafel crispy outside and fluffy outside. This falafel had a more uniform consistency, almost as if it had been frozen and microwaved. Like I said before, I know I caught them on a bad night, and I'll probably give them another shot.
Oh my gosh... so yummy. Great service as always :) I dreamed of Spanakopita all night and here I am enjoying the best in town.

Nino is a great guy. I knew him over at Z's and happy he decided to open his new place right next to where I live. Sorry Z, I won't be coming to see you that often anymore :). I almost always get the salad which the lettuce is always fresh and crisp. I add gyro and if I'm hungry also chicken. We call this extra large monstrosity The Sergeant because a local police sergeant regularly orders this. Thanks Nino for taking this absolute hole and turning it into a wonderful neighborhood hang out.
Very yummy and HUGE portions. Its a simple and nice neighborhood café.
I literally just bought a plate here with my fiancé and son who is 3 and I swallowed something sharp. I looked down and there was a piece of metal in the next bite I would have taken. This piece of metal was the size of a pen point and sharp like it came off a can or faulty piece of machinery. I tried to handle this issue with Nino's and they basically said they don't do refunds which is the least they could have done considering I had to call my doctor who told me if I have pain to go to the ER. Please don't bother messaging me about this review or harassing me for posting my honest experience because I have already contacted the health department to review this place so that no other consumers get hurt. I'm only here to give my 2 cents

The Greek Pita never fails! I've been coming to this location since they opened and they turned me on to Greek food. They have by far the best Garlic sauce for their pitas. I wish I could buy it by the bottle!
Giving it 5 stars. I eat here all the time and i have never been disappointed. From the very minute you walk through the door they make you feel welcome. Great food at great prices. Clean and friendly. Best part I live across the street !
Try the "Chicken Gyros" if regular Gyros aren't your thing. Either way, these are the best Gyros in North Phoenix. The place is clean and well decorated, the staff is friendly, just like it should be.

In this area (35th Ave & Glendale Ave) there aren't that many options for good mom & pop restaurants. The Golden Greek has broken that stigma. The food and value definitely make this a place worth visiting at least once a month. The place is small and quaint and clean. The food was simple yet amazing. On our first visit, we tried the Gyro Plate and Baked Lasagna. Both absolutely delicious. For those who love a nice gyro, don't be thrown off by their pita bread. It looks like a typical roll, but gives the gyro an awesome taste. Their tzatziki sauce is very fresh. Although it's a Greek restaurant, the Italian fare here is worth a try.
The hummas is delicious! Mounds of feta cheese on the Greek salad and friendly service. Well worth the wait, I will be back to conquer the rice pudding!
This is a cute mom and pop Greek/Italian restaurant. The food was delicious. The gyro comes on their homemade bread instead of pita. Delicious! The spanakopita was great too. They are a small business, so not super speedy, but worth the wait!

Awesome sauce!!! All I can say is this is the best Greek food I have ever had!! The owners are so nice and down to earth!! If you are on the fence, swing in and try this place....you won't be sorry!!
I absolutely adore this little Greek restaurant! Sweet owners, always such a joy to see them! Their Gyro Greek salad was packed full of a fresh variety of veggies that are very appealing to the eye and the taste buds! Their hummus *Rocks*! Everything I've tried at this place has always been amazing! A++++++
Super unhappy, and I didn't even eat! The lady made up EVERY excuse not to honor the restaurants.com voucher I printed out just yesterday. First she said business was too slow to honor it. Then she said it was from 2011? Then she said it was only for catering orders of 60.00 or more. Then she said it was fake. She never called to confirm, she didn't even look at it to see where it was certified, or that it said 10.00 off 20.00 or more. I refuse to do business with people that refuse to honor their promotion. They should take themselves off restaurants.com if that's the case. booooo!

This is my favorite gyro place of all time! I've been going here for about 4 years now whenever I need my gyro fix. I usually get the #12 - gyro dinner. It comes with a small greek salad (with bell pepper, red onion, greek olives, cucumber, and feta cheese with lettuce), strips of gyro meat (and plenty of it), and rice (plenty of that too). Seriously two people could probably eat this meal together if you purchased an appetizer as well.
My wife picked up a couple of Gyro salads to go. This is one of the best salads I have ever eaten! Serious! The lamb meat was as fresh and tasty as the rest of the salad! My wife said the service was friendly and the restaurant was very clean! So glad we found this place and we will definitely be back! Thank you! :-)
This place is my number two gyro spot for lunch near work. The pita can be dry, but it's never bad. Although it tends to fall apart. Their gyro is good, middle of the road, reliable. It's tasty and cut well. They've had a problem or two getting little intricacies of orders down, but that's usually when we're ordering for the office, and I give them some wiggle room because of that. The staff is cool and friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and has decent style. There are tvs and nice private areas to eat, so it's definitely worth more to eat in. This is probably a three star review if I eat there once. But we order here often and their consistency and willingness to put up with an office worth of orders gives them a big bump. Again, not a must have, but definitely comes up regularly in lunch conversations.

Love this place! Not fancy, but a great neighborhood place that's always clean, prices are good, and the staff is always friendly. The gyro pita is tasty and loaded with plenty of meat to fill you up. Their baklava is awesome too! JT is right around the corner from my father-in-law's place, so I make sure to get my gyro fix every time I'm in town.
This is my go to spot for quick excellent mediterranean food - its not a fancy place - this is a really great neighborhood place - clean with an A rating and simple. The food is tasty and fresh - and the portions are large - i get the 10 house special which is white meat chopped chicken grilled with fresh onion and bell pepper - its laid over this amazing rice that just is so on point. Comes with salad bread and soup! They also have the best babbaganush in town!!! Oh yeah they have gyros ;) but with plates as good as theres thats just a bonus.
Had no idea they were closing in 30 mins until as we were leaving we were their last costumers.. They were absolutely wonderful to us .. I got chicken and steak rice salad with a warm pita... amazing. . He split my meat meat portions so I could have both.. I got a small hummus yummm with two extra posts.Very good. the combo plate was really good salad is a nice portion with feta olives and jalapeno, plenty of rice and warm pita, beef gyro chicken.. all very juicey. Not dry... Would recommend this restaurant. The price was right for my pockets without leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Opa! Souvlaki

By default, food in a mall food court is supposed to be greasy and leave you counting down to a heart attack. Opa is in a food court, but the food isn't like that. I had the gyro wrap with a greek salad. Both were delish. Not greasy and full of flavor. The gyro is perfect and the salad is romaine lettuce topped with lots of bell peppers, tomatoes, cukes, and olives. The guy making the plates up was friendly and confirmed what I wanted in my wrap. It's a little more expensive than other places, but is well worth the $2-3 difference
WHAT HAPPENED!?!?! They're gone!!! The best gyro I've ever had! So sad... it is a sad sad day.
I know, I know. Why would I hit up a mall food court for Greek/Med style cuisine and expect it to deliver? I was in the PV Mall, hungry and ready to eat and this appeared to be my best option. I scanned the menu and went for the pork pita sandwich. I was promptly informed that they did not serve pork. I asked it they were out as pork was featured all over the menu. I was then told they no longer serve pork. A posted sign or an updated menu would work wonders. No big deal so I order the beef/lamb combination. The sandwich was made and then it sat behind the counter awaiting the fries. After standing around about 5 minutes I was informed it would be a "few minutes" for the fries. I expect fresh food and don't mind waiting a few minutes but why prep the sandwich this early when there was still a significant wait for the fries? The fries were good but the sandwich was mediocre. The pita tasted dry, perhaps even stale. The meat and other fixings tasted generic. Overall the food was okay but at nearly $10 for a sandwich, fries and drink there is no value to be had. Update the menu, find more attentive staff and drop the prices a bit and this place could be a 3 star joint. Mall court food will never be great quality but they can at least attempt to rise above food court mediocrity.

Headed here for lunch since they're only open til 4. Had coworkers who liked the place and I love gyros, so thought we'd give it a try. The customer service was meh but the place was clean so thats a plus. We each got a gyro and fries. The fries weren't anything special but hot and greasy. The gyro meat was not delicious. It was really greasy and dry at the same time. I didn't think it could be both. I coudln't even finish my gyro it was that bad. Needless to say, we won't be here again.
Great place! Looks a little scary from the outside, but the food is excellent,.....not $100 per person formal steak house excellent,...more like local, homey feeling, neighborhood-y excellent. The owner, Sarge, is a great guy. Food portions are plentiful, quality is excellent and prices are good. Gyros are giant!!
These are the best gyros in town. And also they have awesome chicken kabob salads! I'm a regular here and know the staff, very friendly people. Very clean place I don't know what that James guy that left that bad comment obviously never had good food. The place might be small but has a big impact! Food is great!

Very good, fresh food. The prices is pretty good for the amount of food you get, especially if you order a meal instead of just a sandwich. The folks that run the place are always very nice.
As others have said, decent, not amazing. Portions were ample, prices were good and we got our food pretty quickly. The tzatziki was a little watered down but the chicken in my dish was cooked really well: it was moist, had great flavor and the pieces were generous and well trimmed (fatty chicken = so gross!). When I am at the office near here, I will probably come here again.
I was really hoping it would be better since its close to the office. Had the gyros plate and was not impressed. I wont be going back.
