Please read this review in your finest SNL Stefon voice. Oviedo's hottest new spot is Velo Creek Bike and Brew! If you like delicious coffee, yummy snacks and amazing service this is the place for you! This place truly has everything! Bicycles of all shapes and sizes, organized cycling trips and that small town family owned charm.
I was here for an event yesterday and must say the shoppe and concept was pretty cool. The baristas were very knowledgeable and gave great drink recommendations . I forgot the name of the tea that I had but it had some mango in it which was really good. My friend had the green tea latte and said it was delicious. Everyone that came in while we were there was extremely happy and having a great time. Real cozy sitting area. Overall great place, excellent coffee and costumer service is superb!
This is a great concept, a coffee shop and bike shop in one. The people who work there are really nice and know their stuff. I've been an avid bike rider since the mid 90's and I was even able to learn things from these people. They carry Specialized, Felt and Orbea. They often have sales and specials, and are very active with the local community with special events and group rides. It's nice to see involved local bike shops that really care about the biking community, and surrounding neighborhoods. They got one of the guys from Locomotion, now that that has closed, and I think that is a huge benefit for them above other stores. Some of the chain stores in the area hire less experienced technicians. The location is in Oviedo past the mall if you are coming from that direction, and it is about 10 minutes from UCF. It is kinda tucked in behind some restaurants and is not easy to see from the street.

CupPasta Authentic Italian Pasta

1510 Oviedo Mall Blvd

Reviews:
They make the homemade pasta on premise. First you pick your cup size 16oz, 24oz or 32 oz. we choose 24 oz Med. There were about 5 pastas to choose from. We went with the spaghetti type. They then drop it for 6 minutes to cook. You choose sauce several to choose from. We chose bolognese. We also went with combo. You get a breadstick and drink. Very filling and delicious for under 9 bucks! Will come again!
Yes, the address should have given it away, but I didn't realize this was an eatery in the mall's food court. Pasta is cooked fresh when you order and sauce was good, but it is in the food court of the mall. Worked well for us as it was a rainy day and we could stroll the mall for exercise, but nothing special about the food.
This place is good. Tastes great, they dont skimp on the sauce and the sauce isnt watered down unlike other Italian mall food like Sbarro. For the price you get alot here. Im glad theres finally a good italian food place here.

Great place! Definitely check it out. Full liquor bar and a wine area where you can try different types of wine.
Oviedo needs a place like this but the problem I had was the portions were very small. The guy sitting next to me at the bar ordered scallops and I swear they smelled horrible, not sure how he could eat them... Servers were friendly and place looks great. Just not impressed with the menu or portions. Cheese platter looked like they walked over to publix and opened the package and put on a board. Don't waste your money on it!
Heard great things but got to experience first hand today for lunch. We were a party of eight. We all loved our food. The waitress was thorough and the decor and atmosphere were perfect. One of the owners came to check on us and was very sincere and pleasant . I will definitely return.

Bernie’s Gourmet To Go

Reviews:
I felt the need to post my review again because yelp filtered my review unfairly.Their "algorithm" filters mostly postive reviews, note the 10 or so filtered reviews that are all 4-5 stars including my own, yet a 1 star review is front and center. are 10+ people wrong and 1 person is right? don't think so I don't know bernie, I've never met bernie, but I did have the pleasure of interacting with his staff and tasting the wonderful food. "Bernie's is a great little deli/catering place. I've had the chance to try their philly cheese steak, roast beef sandwich, and the pulled pork sandwich. They are all exceptional, and the portions are generous. That said, good luck trying to save half for later. It's that good. The service is very friendly as well. They also have a ton of prepared dinners and desserts that I have yet to try, but they all look tasty. No hesitations recommending Bernies"
The various chicken salads are something to see and taste! The mediterranean is my favorite. I always take a pint home so I can have a sandwich later in the week. (I live in Orlando so I do not drive out to Oviedo that ofter.) I have also purchased dinners there to reheat later. I have had the stuffed baked potatoes a number of times and consider them one of my favorites. The shepard's pie is also awesome. I have not had a bad meal there yet and I have been there four times in the last few months and the consistency is always the same - very good!!
I've stopped here multiple times on my way home from work. I always get the salads, so I can't speak to the other items on the menu (although the desserts look amazing!). The ladies behind the counter are friendly (if a bit frazzled at times - it DOES get busy in there at the dinner hour) and they always let you try a sample of the items in the deli case, such as the chicken salads and the pasta/potato salads. Good amount of food for the money, and very, very tasty chicken salads.

C&W BBQ

Reviews:
When you arrive at C&W don't judge this place by its looks. First I check inspections on any restaurant as I did with this one. Very few violations, sometimes none! This is a takeout place with true southern cooking. I've tried almost everything and it is damn good. The best collards I've ever had, chicken and ribs are good. Nice smoke flavor but not overpowering. Large plates (enough for two) at very fair prices.
We went to breakfast with some friends at The Town House Restaurant BUT we had to bring them by to meet Miss Cora... As usual her place smells wonderful when you walk in the door. Her menu is very simple but the food is made with SO MUCH LOVE you can't help but leave with something. Well leave with something we did. Our friends left with two orders and so did we. Mama ordered the ribs and chicken with some greens and potato salad. I ordered the ribs and pulled pork with a double order of greens. I am going to TRY to save that for my dinner but the smell is overwhelming the house right now as it cools off to put in the fridge for later. The only reason I am not eating it now is because I am still stuffed from breakfast. I did however take a small nibble of everything just to make sure it was as good as the last time and IT WAS... When you stop by, just remember that they only accept CASH
Absolutely delicious. Ribs were delicious and big. I will definitely be going back. Make sure you bring cash.

North End Pizza

The food is fantastic. I always get their large pizza which is enough for 2 meals and I've never had a bad meal from them. Also everything they make is made fresh from scratch. They also came out with gyros a few days ago and they are 100% fantastic. But when I go to North End pizza I'm also going for the experience. The crew there all work really hard to make sure you are leaving with a smile on your face. 10/10 would recommend.
My family and I really wanted pizza but did not want the chain store kind so we came to yelp. We order the pizza for pickup and was anxious. We ordered a large cheese pizza, garlic knots and medium 10 piece chicken wings. Everything was amazing! The pizza had a great amount of cheese that ozzzed off and amazing crust. The wings were SEASONED and the flavor made me want more. The garlic knots were huge and flavorful. I ate so much I felt like I was going to explode. The owner told us we would love the pizza and would be back for more. He was right we are planning to try lunch and definitely will be ordering our pizza there for now and on.
Fantastic establishment! Great service, amazing food, and awesome owners who really care for your dining experience! All of the food is homemade and high quality. The pizza was top notch, and left me wanting more. Can't wait to go back again next week!!

Tokyo Tapas

1813 E Broadway St
Oviedo, 32765
Reviews:
Came here for dinner on a rainy night with a group of 8. I ordered Fuji flames sushi as a starter, delicious! It was spicy and so good. It was a good portion and fair price, it left me full after that. I also ordered the steak hibachi, which came with hibachi rice, steak, veggies and white sauce. Large portion as well. The restaurant itself is small, but nice. The owner is also nice and staff was helpful.
Sometimes I want hibachi without all the excitement of live teppanyaki. I mean, it's cool that you can throw your knife like a boomerang in front of my face while you juggle flaming rolls of radioactive sushi, and I'm sure your pop cultural jokes will put a smile on my face albeit being slightly dated. And for an event like someone's birthday, that's especially good fun. But sometimes I'm just looking to get bloated on steak or chicken in peace. That's where a place like Tokyo Tapas comes into play. It's a simple, straightforward place that specializes in hibachi and sushi. I've had both there, and I think their hibachi is the better of the two. The sushi isn't bad, but I just think you can get better sushi elsewhere for around the same price. I'd compare their hibachi to Kyoto Sushi by UCF. Similar portion, quality, and price point. From the times that I've gone, I don't remember the service being particularly exceptional. But it wasn't bad, either. It got the job done. The decor in there has a nice, slightly rustic feel to it. It's got a better vibe than Kyoto Sushi/Hibachi, which sort of seems like the inside of a Japanese McDonalds somehow. I wouldn't trek too far to come out to Tokyo Tapas. But if you're looking for this kind of food in the area, it's a solid choice worth trying.
Amazing! This is by far my fav place to eat in Orlando. Normally, you go to a restaurant and you have your one fav thing but the other stuff is just ok. I love everything I get here. My fav meal is the steak with hibachi rice and ginger salad, with half/half tea. If I was ever in prison, this would be the last meal I would get. The price is reasonable, the quality and seasoning are on point. This is where I came for my birthday bc I truly love it here! Staff are quick, friendly & talented! Parking is easy and the space is small & intimate.

Barnie’s Coffee

Reviews:
When my wife and I moved to Oviedo 5 years ago, we were so happy to find there is a Barnie's coffee right around the corner from our neighborhood. We often walk our dog to Barnie's on Saturday mornings and enjoy a delicious latte or freezer. The coffee is tasty and the staff is incredibly friendly, particularly the manager. He even ordered a specific flavoring that was phased out due to lack of popularity because I kept bugging him about it! Gotta have my cinnamon roll latte! If you live in Oviedo, don't pass up Barnie's! It is a pleasant alternative to the "other place."
Love this place. The breakfast croissants are awesome! Very fair prices! Oh yeaaaaaaa boiiiii! Can you tell that I've had a lot of coffee???????? I CAN!!!!!!!!! More espresso please, my fair Korean prince!
The coffee is really good here and I'd like to even say that I enjoyed it more than Starbucks. The establishment is clean, has plenty of areas to sit and plug in devices, and even has couches. My only complaint is that the service is really slow. I sat down and as I enjoyed my drink I watched a customer walk in and wait about 5 minutes before being acknowledged by the person behind the counter, who was not busy at all. Definitely got irritated for that customer but they seem to have a lot of patience here in Florida.

Sushi Pop

310 W Mitchell Hammock Rd,Ste 900
Oviedo, 32765
Reviews:
At last! There's a sophisticated and trendy restaurant in Orlando. Sushi Pop in Oveido combines highly creative sushi with a touch of molecular gastronomy and an anime-inspired decor to create a top notch experience worthy of New York City. Highlights were: Edamame with garlic salt Ceviche roll (hamachi with avocado, tempura shallots and chipotle lime sauce topped with flounder, siracha hot sauce, micro cilantro, Hawaiian pink salt and wedge of lime) Hot Mess roll (smoked salmon, avocado and tempura flakes with maple soy, topped with baked tuna, salmon, yellowtail, flounder, spicy mayo, smelt roe, scallions and rendered bacon) Hamachi Kama (grilled yellowtail collar glazed with sweet soy, topped with toasted garlic, scallions, lime wedge and ponzu dipping sauce) It's No Yolk (fresh cubed salmon tossed with lime juice, olive oil, shallots, thai basil with sunny side egg of sweet coconut milk and mango puree, served withseaweed rice cracker) Maple ice cream with candied bacon The seating is a combination of tables, couch-like booths and bar stools. Servers wear individual quirky costumes. Anime plays on flat screens, and the wall art is manga. Reservations are a must, as the place was packed, inside and out, during our three-hour gastronomic tour. Highly Recommended.
This has to be my favorite restaurant in all of Orlando, maybe even Florida. I have been here many, many, many times. And I can honestly tell you I have LOVED every single plate I have tried. Every single one of them. The service is always impeccable. We always sit at the bar and Matt and Alex are always wonderful to us. The chefs are great as well and they always greet everybody with a smile. The most helpful thing I can tell you is that you have to try everything on the menu. Everything is going to be a party in your mouth. From the sashimi/rolls to the kitchen plates. But to give you an idea, I'll try to pick my favorites. First of all, always, always get the daily special plates they offer. You will never be disappointed. Actually, you might get disappointed because it's not on the regular menu. From the cold appetizers, you have to try the black and white tuna, the tuna tacos, hamachi pops and the newly added salmon tartare. From the hot tastings, get the pork belly tacos (please do!). Salmon and yellowtail sashimis are a must. They are like butter. Ahhh soo delicious. They also have some nigiri specials and they put some combination of toppings on the top of the fish. Reaaally good too. From the rolls, get the sugi sugi, ceviche, anaconda, black widow, triple tail, mebachi and the volcano. From the kitchen, get the surf and turf (ridiculously good!), the three little pigs (seasonal), and the pork belly fried rice. I've heard great things about the pork ramen and the shrimp and grits but have not tried those yet. Ahhh desserts, PMS will always have my heart (soooooooooo good) but their special desserts are usually AMAZING!! Last time we had a red velvet creme brulee. OMG!!! Drinks!! Love, love their wine list!! However, the drinks they recently added to their menu won my heart. Hanna fizz is one and the other new one is a martini (one of the ingredients is salt maybe?) but I can't remember the name. I hate to admit it, but I am obsessed about this place.
Easily one of my very favorite places in Central Florida. Frankly, I can't believe this place is in Oviedo! The service and the food is STELLAR. It's a gorgeous place, and I love that the servers dress in an anime-inspired style. The menu is witty and full of insanely tasty stuff. As the token land-lubber, I would love some more entree-sized non-sushi items...but everything I've had there is so incredibly good, I can't really complain. Three LIttle PIgs 3.0 is pork three ways, and it's amazing. The duck dish is pretty spectacular, too. I'm not a big sushi fan, but Jason is, and it's his favorite in town. I've also dined there with some sushi connoisseurs, and they love it. Every detail of this place is special. Go there immediately. And the happy hour is killer. The strawberry saketini is delicious and the beers are excellent.
