The gyros and falafel's are amazing. Super friendly staff, authentic Mediterranean food, hard to find in Cordova. The staff even brought different food for us to try for free. Say they're having a grand reopening on the 4th of July. Highly recommend it, good prices too.

This place is amazing. Food was very tasty and delicious. The tea as well presented and tasted great. Aziz was very kind and helpful, he runs this place very well and makes you feel at home in his establishment.

The food is good no complaints there. I gave this place three stars strictly based on the owners allowing their kids to run rampant throughout the restaurant. That made for a really awkward experience. Think Mediterranean dining inside a daycare.

I have eaten here three times so far. While it can be a bit awkward sometimes with the owners and staff being foreign nationals, that is part of the authentic nature of places that are on somewhat of a different cultural wavelength. Some people find this uncomfortable and this can result in reviews that don't tell the whole story. As for the food, the hummus is always fresh and appealing. Plenty of warm pita bread brought to the table with regularity. The Tzatziki is always so amazing and the dolma is not bad either. For a light lunch, two can split a sampler plate and feel good about eating healthier than fast food for about the same price. A good deal and good food.

This place is awesome! The owner is very nice and does everything himself. By far the best Gyros ever!!! I've tried almost every restaurant that sells Gyros and no one can beat them. They just expanded their menu and even have a hookah lounge now so this place just got better! They have changed their restaurant name to Marrakesh, just fyi.

I have been here one year ago and on my last visit with my family we were surprised with the quality of food it was fresh and delicious my wife really enjoy the Greek salad and the Moroccan Mint tea.

I'm always looking for new places to eat on my lunch break, and I'm happy to report that this place will definitely be added to my list of favorites! The owner was super friendly and helpful, my order was ready in no time, and it was delicious! I got the chicken shawarma and baba ghannouj. Yum! The owner even offered to let me sample the baba ghannouj before I ordered it.

With such a limited menu, I expect everything to be on point. My gyro meat was not warm enough. The lettuce was bitter and browned. This is my second time visiting, it will likely be my last.

So, Husband and I found this tiny place by accident before we headed to the grocery store. (you know the rule- never buy groceries when you're hungry; otherwise, you end up with cotton candy, chips, and other useless items!) Anyway... We both were so impressed with the portions and the taste of everything we tried. We split the hummus, grape leaves, and the gyro pizza. Everything was so delicious. Even though our server (rumored to be the manager's son) was quiet and shy, he was very efficient in serving us one of the best lunches we ever had in Memphis. Our total bill was around $15 before the tip. Great and filling food, more than reasonable prices, and good service. We definitely will be back! Thank you for a great discovery out of a little place!

It was ok. The food wasn't bad but the service was. The store was fairly empty and still it took forever and a day for us to not only get a server, but also for him to bring us our food. My husband wasn't happy about that at all. The food was alright though and the baklava was especially good. Fresh and flaky. But Wowza it's $2 per piece! Yikes! Can't wait to go to Detroit,MI so I can get some amazing and decently prized Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food.

After the (formerly great) Mount Olive restaurant closed a year or so ago, I was told that Zaytoon would be able to fill my ample need for hummus and tabbouleh...so I gave it a shot. At first, this place was FANTASTIC. The food was always fresh, the hummus perfect and delicious, and the service (always take-out) was prompt and courteous. I added it to my regular roster of take-out places, and recommended it to anyone and everyone. And then...it changed. Slowly but surely, the tabbouleh went from sprightly and fresh to limp and blah. The hummus went from creamy and garlicky to little more than chickpea mash. The last straw, for me, was a week-long attempt to order dinner at 6pm. I would call, they would tell me "Oh, I'm sorry, we're about to close." At 6pm? Really? I finally was able to place an order, and when I opened it up at home...ugh. The tabbouleh was brown and limp, and the hummus was dry and almost crumbly. I ate a few bites but just couldn't do any more. I don't know if the owners changed or what's happened, but it makes me sad that this formerly-great place is now so mediocre. I'd give this place a pass for now.

This place is not good. I've been to *many* kabob places in multiple major metropolitan areas (NYC, DC, Boston, St. Louis, etc.) and this place is the worst Mediterranean food I've had in a long time. The kabobs are overcooked and not spiced up. The rice leaves something to be desired. From recollection, they don't have any sumac to put on your rice or kabob. We continually get a young kid for a waiter (no joke - however, he's been a better server than a bunch of other places I've been to in Memphis.) I wish Caspian's had not closed down, it was the only decent kabob place in the area. :-(

I've noticed this place several times, but am usually with people that don't like Mediterranean food. Today, after finding out my favorite Chinese restaurant was closed (shame on you, FuLin!), I decided to give Zaytoon a try. I really liked the interior - nice, clean, and the decor was tasteful. The restaurant itself was surprisingly dead at 12 noon; I was the only patron in there. I ordered a gyro and tea and chatted with the owner while he prepared my food. I was served a complementary cup of hot sage tea while I waited and O-M-G it was so good. I never thought about sage in tea, but this totally worked. My gyro was very good and I like that it comes with a side. I opted for the rice and it was nice as well. My taste buds were very happy and I will be going back....if for nothing more than some of that sage tea!

Love this place!! I come here all the time. The falafel sandwich is fabulous and the hummus is the most delicious hummus I've had in Memphis. The staff is always extremely friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend. They have good options for children as well - the hambuger and fries are a favorite. For about 5 bucks you can get a typical mediocre fast food meal from any number of fast food restaurants or a delicious Mediterrannean falafel sandwich and fries from Zaytoon - can't beat that!
