Oh geez from checking in on Yelp and pulling into the lot I was buzzing! I couldn't wait to indulge in some deliciousness. When I walked in the door and smelled sweet cookies baking I felt butterflies..::: by the time I made it to the display cases featuring the MOST deliciously appealing cookies I have ever laid eyes on- I was about to do cartwheels!!! Let me tell you this is one classy shop! If on looks, presentation and decor alone this place is a 10!!! Plenty of seating - I could see hosting a tea party here. One of the loveliest shops in Memphis! The doll behind the counter was so sweet and told me about each cookie I asked about which was ALL of them because I wanted to eat ALL of them!!! Look at the pics-they look amazing-right?! Even at $2 and $3.50 per cookie I didn't care I wanted them all!! I did use restraint and only bought 7 cookies! This was a 5 star rating until I tasted the cookies.Below are the cookies I tried and my opinion on the taste. I will start with the ring leader which was GREAT! Chocolate chip Oreo stuffed: excellent cookie. It was moist. Had huge chunks of chocolate and an Oreo inside. Excellent. 5 stars Chocolate chip cream sandwich. Cookie was excellent. The cream was awful. It tasted like shortening and preservatives. I scraped it off and just at the cookie. Oatmeal Cream Pie: I was looking forward to this beauty the most and it disappointed the most. The cookie had a good flavor and was soft however it was ruined due to marshmallow cream center. Tasted chemically. I sampled the ooey gooey lemon and strawberry cookies and they were good but not "the best". Why only 2 stars? If you are a cookie boutique that's sole business is making cookies then they should ALL be excellent especially when charging premium money - the product should be premium. - using top ingredients. If I wanted an okay cookie then I can go to Kroger's deli and buy a 1/2 dozen for the price I paid for one cookie here. **** The cookies here alone are good - the misstep is the fillings. I would recommend they revisit their recipe and look at making a high quality ingredient buttercream and cream cheese filling in place of the "fillers" in the oatmeal cream and chocolate cream. If I go back I will know just to get the chocolate chip cookie by itself or the Oreo stuffed one. But can't justify paying the price again for them.

This place is adorable! From the outside pink brick to the inside pink interior!! It's so girly and fun. They were getting ready to close but I was curious if you're able to eat there on that beautiful pink couch. There weren't very many options but we a got a baseball shaped sugar cookie, an oatmeal cream pie, and a strawberry gooey cookie. They were all super soft, I was a bit worried since we got there are closing time. The oatmeal cookie had a great cinnamon taste to it. My mom loved the gooey cookie and my dad enjoyed the sugar cookie. Definitely a cute place to go!

I came to Whimsy Cookie Co. To get some graduation cookies the lady who helped me was very nice she was quick but no suggestive sales or offer of the samples it was my first time in the establishment.

UM, DELICIOUS! There isn't a huge selection of cookies which was what i was expecting seeing as it is a specialty cookie shop, but what they have is so good. Their sugar cookie with icing was really good. The actually cookie had a little bit of almond extract and the icing plain. I do which maybe they would look into lemon flavored possibly, but that's just me. But then we get to what I believe is the real star...their gooey crinkle cookies are amazing! I got the lemon one and it was perfect. The tartness balanced the sweetness out, and it was oh so gooey on the inside with a nice outer crunch and perfect powder sugar on top. It was essentially like chess pie in cookie form. I'm not from Memphis, but this will be somewhere I will return to. Also, the girl working the front counter was very sweet and friendly. Southern hospitality right there.

"It's so cute. Why is it so f'in cute? OH MY GOD THE CUTENESS" That is what my friend kept saying over and over again. I must say, while I agreed with her 100%, I told her she needed to calm down. Then I saw the little pink throne and demanded her to take a picture of me...so honestly I don't think anyone can avoid being ridiculous in this place. My ADHD was simply floored by everything that was happening. Words won't do it justice, so thank da lawdd for camera phones. Good camera phones. Like what did we even do? Anyways. Lets get down to those treats. The cookies I normally think of when I think of Whimsy Cookies never really wowed me. I mean presentation wise YES, ABSOLUTELY... but I just don't think I'm a fan of those style cookies. But I had yet to go into the store and see their options. Lemme just say this, chocolate chip cookie with an oreo inside. That is all. And that will be the death of me. She's genius. Simply genius. In every sense of the word. Presentation, incredible cookies, great staff, and adorable venue. I want to be a 5 year old again where its acceptable to act like a princess and have tea time with imaginary friends. Or real ones.

So of course I follow Leigh Anne Tuohy on IG (what southern belle doesn't?!). To my pleasant surprise I found out about Whimsey! I was immediately drawn in by the gorgeous pics and customer reviews on Instagram. Around this time last year, my bridal shower was coming up, & I came across some Chanel inspired cookies that matched my shower theme perfectly. So I contacted the shop and Carol quickly and kindly attended to my requests! The cookies were a HUGE hit at the shower. I was sold when they arrived in the mail in the sweetest packaging! Too bad I only had one cookie :( But most important, my guests enjoyed them. Thanks Whimsey!

This place is soooo cute! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Their chocolate chip cookies are some of the best I have ever eaten. The lemon drops are fantastic. I despised citrus in dessert until I tasted their lemon drops. Just enough tartness and not overly sweet; they are so soft that I thought I was eating a cloud. I cannot wait to go back!

I can't wait to have a little girl so I can have her a tea party here! This is the cutest decor everrrrr! Pink everything! Soooooo in love. Now back to the cookies.... The cutest cookies ever!! All kinds of different themed cookies, a big one was the Memphis Grizzly one. Hardly any parking And it is kinda hard to get out since Poplar is so busy...bit the best sugar cookies this side of heaven!!!!!

If you are a sugar cookie person this is your heaven! This place is basically one of my go to places for last minute gifts. They are very tasty and this place is the cutest little store ever!! Makes me want to have a tea party! Absolutely adore it.

We ordered custom cookies for a baby shower last week, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the get-go, Whimsy was great to work with and very professional. I met with a consultant to talk about my wish list and she was fantastic. (Only thing they were missing was look-book to see what kind of work had been done in the past. But i had seen their website beforehand) We had a special request since it was joint baby shower, for a baby girl and boy. And it was Indian. They decorated the cookies beautifully with white icing and magenta and royal blue icing in a henna inspired design. Obviously the cookies tasted great too. We ordered 10 onesies, 10 rattles, and 10 buggies. And the rest we ordered the little bites which were gobbled up quickly. I ordered these two weeks in advance and they were ready on time. Thanks so much Whimsy!

So I went in to order cookies for a shower and I ended up getting 8 cookies for myself... Smh. Strawberry cookies= strawberry cake as cookies! Very moist and yummy. I could eat 10 of these omg! Red velvet cookie= good and coco flavored. If you're a huge chocolate fan and a red velvet fan this is for you. Also very moist Chocolate chip cookie w Oreo center= the bf said it was good and he's a chocolate fan. Also moist Chocolate chip sandwich cookie= the bf said it was ok Large chocolate chip cookie= I didn't like it it was not moist and tasted like store bought

I'll say it once and I'll say it again... These cookies are gorgeous!! I have ordered cookies multiple times from Whimsy's and they never disappoint. I absolutely love the new location because it is much more convenient. I stopped by here to order some cookies to take on the plane with me as a gift. They girls were very helpful in packaging the cookies for travel. The people I gave the cookies to throuroughly enjoyed them and I can't wait to come back!

Love the little pink shop with its pink decor, hearts, bling and Parisian flair. They offer kiddie parties in their boutique which includes a parlor with a kiddie "milk" bar to enjoy an afternoon snack. I could see them doing tea parties here too. The cookies were adorable presentations, so I picked up several with a winter theme...a polar bear, cap and mittens, ice skate. They also had red velvet cookies. The owner is a doll, so friendly and what a personality! Very happy we stopped in.

In all honesty, if I were to give a rating solely based on the stuff I bought, it would be much lower. The Whimsy Cookie Company has a nice location, the cutest shop ever, and some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. However, the actual COOKIES are another story. Never in my life have I ever bit into such rock hard "fresh" cookies. It's as if they leave the cookies out for maybe 2 days straight then sell it to guests. Of the 5 different things that I bought, literally only one was "soft" enough to bite into and it wasn't even the cookie I looked most forward to! Don't get me wrong, the cookies are pretty and everything smells great. I just wish they had a better way to store the food before purchase so even if they weren't baked the day of, they would at least taste like it.

Extremely good cookies, especially sugar cookies. Highly recommended, but pricey. The store is nice, in a convenient, but busy, part of town. The lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful, which was appreciated for my first time visit. The cookies are fantastic, one of the best you'll find in a bakery in the city, in this writer's opinion!

I saw this place near the hotel we were staying at and saw that it had 5 stars. Naturally I was really excited to try it, the cookies are really cute and the store it self is picture worthy. Other than that it was a bust for me, the cookies were nothing to shout about and I thought they would have more flavors than just sugar. Sadly disappointed :/

I'm super excited about my Whimsy Cookie order. So I had them for the first time at a charity event for STAXX Music Academy. They were in the shapes of music notes, records and microphones. I hesitated for a day or two after the event before I dove into my cookie. I'm not usually a face of sweets like this. WOW, that was not what I expected. Super cute in the design and they tasted good. Buttery sugar cookie, thick and just the right amount of icing. Not too sweet either, and that really surprised me. So I've just placed my first order for an event I have planned for my business at the end of the month (2 week lead time on orders). I emailed back and forth with Laurie and emailed her a picture of what I had in mind. I just couldn't resist writing my review already. I will be back with an update, pictures of my cookies and possibly a 5th star. In the meantime check out their facebook page where the post all the pictures of the cookies they make. I included a few for them. Super talented!
