This was my first time here. The bar was full, the rest of the place was completely empty. The people at the bar were obviously regulars. They stared us down as we walked in and also when we sat down, making it very uncomfortable to be there and also made us feel very unwelcome. The bartender took our order and seemed friendly enough. Our food came out in good time. However, our food was less than satisfying. The Lost Pizza Sandwich had little to no meat. My spaghetti and meatballs were very disappointing. The pasta was that extremely thin spaghetti and the sauce and meatballs tasted like it came from canned ravioli's. It was extremely disappointing. I wish I could say I'd be back to try the pizza but if the spaghetti sauce was any hint to what the pizza sauce is then no thank you!

To start with this was the absolute worst pizza I have ever had in Memphis. We tried a el diablo pizza and it was completely undercooked and doughy and cold. Cheese was not melted all the way and chicken was extremely undercooked. YOU CAN KILL SOMEONE FROM THAT. The best thing about the damn thing was the crust. Shame... They also over charge the shit out of everything on that menu. It was no where close worth to $17 for a medium pizza. A completely waste of time with your life to go here unless you like giving people money who don't try.

placed an order to go Wednesday night. There were only 2 groups beside me. I got no dressing with my salad. they did give me no set of folk and knife even napkins until I asked. they put a hot food and a cold food together in a bag. (sorry I might be too sensitive. but I do not like salad and pasta together) spaghetti was way too salty. (they used angel-hair instead of spaghetti which is explained on a menu board Im sorry this might not be a big deal for you but I hate angel-hair) Full salad (lettuce got all brownish, portion is too small for the price, no dressing, why you asked me which dressing?) I am not a yelper and even this is my first review. BUT I felt really bad and do regret my tip for this experience. could anyone tell me am I expecting too much for a restaurant, if I am an Asian in Memphis?

Been here a few times and have always had a good experience. I love deep dish pizza and this place has a great one. Have tried the Diablo, Otis and The Pit Boss. I ask for my pizza a bit well done and it does take 20-30 minutes but the have all been yummy and loaded with toppings. The atmosphere is laid back. Great patio. Friendly service.

So I'm updating this review right? Yea still not the best pizza in town sorry. I enjoyed the fried raviolis and this time I actually got to enjoy a few brews (great selection by the way) but that pizza is just never gonna make me happy. And I know why now... Sadly it's bc they didn't invest in a brick oven. They must have one of those burger joint conveyer belt ovens back there bc the pizza just still wasn't up to par. Sucks too bc I really wanna like another pizza place but like I said before somebody must like it bc there were people there. But the service was definitely better and for that alone the place gets an updated 3 stars from me.

I wanted to like this place SO much, and I will give it another shot, but for now it is a not-totally-solid 3 star pizza place for me. My toddler who is obsessed with wheels loved the vintage VW van and tricycle, and I liked the beer selection. There ends the good of this particular visit. While advertised as "fast casual," there is nothing particularly fast about eating here, except for the fact that you order at the counter, have to pick up your own beer from the bar or soda at the fountain, AND there's still a tip line on the receipt. The food was pretty average. In addition to the pizzas, I also ordered some chips and queso as a starter just so that my son wouldn't have a meltdown while waiting for his food. The chips appeared to come straight out of a Costco-sized bag of Tostitos, and the queso reminded me of the fifth-best Rotel I've had at a potluck - orange, sort of watery, and very salty. While I am not super-picky about my melted cheese, this went mostly untouched by me and my son. We ordered a kids' thin-crust cheese pizza for my son and an El Diablo sans meat for me. The crust wasn't really thin - just not overly-doughy and half-baked the way the "thick crust" was on my individual-sized El Diablo pizza. There was nothing really offensive about either pizza, but it felt a little expensive for two very-small pizzas that essentially reminded me of what you'd get at a big-box pizza chain that begins with "pizza" and rhymes with "nut." Everything was generally very salty, and my son who normally devours pizza only ate one slice of his kids' cheese pizza. The folks working there were very nice, the location is convenient, and the decor is fun, so I'll probably be back ordering thin crust and hoping for slightly better value in the future.

So this is the third restaurant in this location since I've been in Midtown. It was vacant for a pretty long stretch before the awning for LPC went up. We went to scope the scene and here are our findings. We ordered the wing appetizer which was better than average. We got them in General Tso's sauce which was okay but needed a bit more red pepper for a more authentic flavor. IMO, the wings should also be fried a bit longer, for a more crispy taste experience. The best thing about the wings, they're not scrawny. I rate the wings 7/10. I ordered a make your own thin crust pie. My husband ordered The Kujo. It's kinda like a meat lovers and supreme all-in-one. On both pies, the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The crust were cooked perfectly. What's a trip is how small the pies were, for 10 bucks, I was surprised. Perhaps the medium and large sizes are a better value. I would certainly recommend you check out my photo (complete with dollar bill for scale). By now you're wondering, 'why did you give this place four stars?' Well, the staff was really nice. They gave us suggestions and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we enjoyed out visit. Also, the decor is so cute. They also have a patio. So while this won't be my new favorite pizzeria for the food, it's a great place to meet friends for drinks with great service. The food was slightly above average, the service was incredibly attentive and the decor/ mood was perfect. The vibe is totally laid back, but interesting. I look forward to kicking back at LPC soon.

Having read several mixed reviews from local bloggers, my neighborhood Google group, and friends on social media, I was curious to see what Lost Pizza was all about. I was also intrigued by what they had done with the space that had previously been Ronnie Grisanti's, which we had frequented when my parents were in town when I was in college. The location itself is obviously more conducive to pizza bar than upscale Italian. The first time we tried to go, they had already closed the kitchen (over an hour before closing time), but the bartender was so genuinely kind about it that we promised we would come back and give it a try another time. That time finally came, and we made sure we came at an earlier hour on a Saturday evening. They have converted the space into a friendly, open area that is decorated with a smart, artistic display of bright art, ranging from antique doors to upcycled signage and a couch made from an antique coke machine. The overall feel is crisp and clean. What I don't understand (and echoes what I read in reviews) is why they have favored counter service over wait staff (especially given as many people as they employ who were standing around). The menu is quite large so unless you are familiar with it, you will probably need some time. We went and sat at a table with the menu until we were ready to order (would have been nice to have a waiter/waitress at this point and a beverage in the mean time). We opted for the tamale appetizer, which was by far the best thing we ate. Perfect amount of heat and nicely matched with a splash of Louisiana hot sauce. Have never put a tamale on a cracker, but then again, I have never had a tamale at a pizza joint. Just go with it, it's good. Many of the specialty pizzas had received mixed reviews and/or just sounded a bit odd, so we went with a pepperoni pizza with green peppers and onions (something basic, hard to mess up). The guy at the counter could not have been nicer, which was true of the entire staff--sincere kindness goes a long way in my book and is generally in shortage. He let us know they were out of plain crust and only had thin for the rest of the night, which was fine by us. We were pleased with the nice array of local and domestic beers available. Again, you have to go to the separate bar to pick up your drink (would be easier to have table service). The bar was packed with regulars, who had a nice relationship with the friendly bartender. It seems like a nice watering hole to have within walking distance. I opted for the Six String Lager which was new to me ... because they make it themselves. Other than the tamales, it was the obvious highlight and I only regret that we didn't buy a growler. My husband switched to it after tasting it. Our pizza arrived shortly afterward and it was okay. Nothing special and with lots of places in town that make incredibly good pizza, the comparison was obvious and left us wanting something more. The crust was a little bit dry and the toppings frequently slid off the pizza, which I think was due to too much sauce. Honestly, there was nothing wrong with the pizza, but there was also nothing memorable about it. When push comes to shove, I can understand the mixed reviews because I myself had mixed feelings. The service and atmosphere combined with the tamales and homemade beer were incredible--truly 5 star, while the pizza, their NAMESAKE item, combined with the somewhat pesky counter service was a definite 2-3 star. The likes outweighed the dislikes so I am going with an overall rating of 4. If I could find a pizza/entre item that matched the excellence of the Six String lager and tamales, I would be happy, but I am not sure I am willing to go on that scavenger hunt.

Ordered the honey BBQ wings and a medium kujo pizza. Over all it was ok but nothing memorable. The pizza was a good size for two and very filling. The pizza sauce was a little salty. There was a good selection of beer at the bar. I didn't like the patio outside as it over looks the parking lot so at night you get headlights in your face while people park. I liked the indoor atmosphere felt spacious and warm.

Not impressed... We were there in a Friday night, and the service seemed to be incredibly uncoordinated. I'm not sure who the manager is, but I hope s/he steps it up. The food was not good enough to warrant and return trip.

Gosh, like several of the other reviewers said, I wanted to like this so much. I work nearby and wanted a neighborhood place. Nope. Pros: the people at the register were pleasant. Cons: everything else. Pizza undercooked, flavorless, almost no toppings, expensive. Even the salads were tiny and tasteless.. Like the old joke, the food was bad and the portions so small. May give it more one chance since we were the last customers of the night and the cook was clearly out the door minutes after we got our undercooked pizzas . Darn. Wish it were better.

Great pizza, I recommend the deep dish. It's like the old school Pizza Hut pizzas which I loved. The raviolli and meatball sub is great too. Great atmosphere and full bar with local beer on tap.

Favorite new find in Memphis! Amazing pizza- hand tossed the thin crust is the best! Happy hippie was delicious and fresh. Doug working the bar and patio was extremely friendly and made the whole experience that much better!! Being new to Memphis, his welcome and friendly service are exactly what's defining the hospitable difference here ! I will definitely be a regular here!

The pizza itself was fine - not worth $18 for a medium, but it was OK. The service, on the other hand, was not good. Even though there were three people behind the counter (one texting, the others standing around), the bartender, Doug, was busing tables outside, making drinks, dropping off plates, etc., which means he was behind on all of those tasks, because he was the only person doing them. We didn't get our drinks (1 beer, 1 margarita) until after our pizza came out and only because we went and inquired. (You pay up front, then sit down, and everything comes to you.) The margarita was absolutely terrible -- way too strong, and without any semblance of a margarita flavor. Furthermore, there were two fruit flies in it. We had to ask for plates and silverware, and also saw other patrons asking for things multiple times, and even some came inside to bus their own table so they could sit and listen to the music comfortably without dishes in front of them (which then means piles of plates and food remnants were sitting on the table right next to us for a while). In my opinion, there are much better options for your money, both nearby and otherwise.

Not sure if the cooks were just having a bad night or they just can't cook a pizza to save their life. Pizza was straight-up DOUGH. We ordered the thick crust el Diablo. I slid off the toppings and cheese to find gooey, completely undercooked dough. I don't recommend at all, but if u decide to go, be prepared to spend like 17 dollars on possibly undercooked pizza..

Today I will only focus on the good about this restaurant, its service and its food: I enjoyed sitting across the table from and spending time with my date.

We were looking for the new Memphis Made Bent IPA, and so we figured we'd kill two birds with one stone - new restaurant and new beer. We liked the location, parking and friendly staff. They have a good selection of local or craft beers on tap which was great. The pizza selections are pretty decent. However, the cost is NOT cheap and they are small pizzas. Additionally, (just my preference) but the base seems prefab or prefrozen, it's crusty ... but .... Also - what really was off was the fact that 1/3 of the pizza was plain crust. There was a scant amount of toppings and cheese for a $20 pizza. :(

Really attractive space and all of the staff with whom I interacted were helpful and friendly. However, the pizza needs a lot of help. The dough is tough on the hand thrown pie and the ingredients/toppings were skimpy. Truly, grocery store pizzas are as good or better. This place has potential if someone will fix the quality problems with their product-and do it quickly.

where do I begin. well I am at a table of five. most are finished yet I apparently have a lost pizza. yes no food, the irony is not lost on me. I hear the $5 wine tastes that way. I also hear you can taste the eggs in the crust. I can see the pizza appears more like a puff pastry. I am going to now request my lost money back and also ask them to lose the tip too.

This place was good. I was in the mood for a simple easy cheese pizza that wasn't too greasy. Lost Pizza Inc hit the spot. I got a personal pizza with mushrooms and had no complaints. I got the option for thin crust or thick crust pizza and I went with thin. I loved the decor, I thought to myself if I owned a pizza company this is what it would look like. The person who took my order was nice I definitely plan to try again.

There's honestly nothing special about this place. I go pretty frequently only because I can walk there from my house. And I do enjoy it - there's nothing bad about it! But it doesn't stand out among other restaurants. Most of the time, the pizza is pretty good, although it does fall apart sometimes and my dough has been undercooked before. But they have a wide variety of pizza and you can also build your own, which is pretty neat. The beer selection is good and when it's nice outside, their patio is great. The service is hit or miss.

It certainly lives up to it's name. "Lost"... just like the entire customer experience. I arrived and sat on the patio, there was one other table with customers as I sat and ordered. Other people came outside and received their food before me. This was about 40 minutes after I had ordered! Random waitresses came to the table with plates asking if I had ordered them. No clear system in place and behold, the waiter never put in my order. Finally my dip arrived and it was clearly microwaved. Cold on on side and scorching hot on the other. 15 minutes later the pizza finally arrived and it wasn't bad (hence the extra star). NOTE: The staff was very apologetic and offered to take care of the bill, however I don't think I will be going back. Go to PYROS and get service your way.

I bought an Amazon Local deal for this place and was excited to try it out. I had seen it up for a few months but hadn't been there. My brother and I arrive at 2:00 and there is only one other table seated. Not a good sign... The interior had a very cool look to it and had some nice old artifacts on the walls. Not sure what's up with the big stumps coming out of the ceiling, but whatever. Cashier greats us with the warmth of an old tile floor in December. I order for us and give them my voucher. She calls for the manager who looks to be maybe 18 yrs old. She sets up the deal and my total is $2 and some change. Cool, I forget that I actually paid $10 for $20 and suddenly I excited. DEAL! Food comes. Ordered a Md Pizza and 10 "boneless wings" (whatever those are, I'm sick of stupid crap like this..). My "chicken pieces" come out slightly warm to slightly cool. General Tso's sauce was VERY unimpressive. No spice at all! Deep dish pizza crust was just ok. No crunchiness in the dough on the edges. The bacon I ordered on the pizza wasn't real bacon at all. It was like tough little bacon by product pieces or something. The sauce was canned and the pepperonis were staring in the same pathetic show. Top it off, very little cheese... All in all unimpressed. Glad it was half off to start. Thanks Amazon!

The décor and set up of this place is pretty cool with the luxury of live music. But that is about where it ends. We LOVE pizza and we were excited to try a new local pizza joint. The young staff behind the counter were friendly, and talked amongst themselves while we struggled to make a selection off the horribly designed menu behind the counter; they asked several times if we were ready to order when we obviously we weren't; luckily we found printed menus so we could make a selection. While the staff was friendly enough, I didn't find them particularly helpful or useful (not mentioning adding a salad and drink combo). Lost should definitely train its staff to be more attentive to customer needs. The pies are way overpriced for the size. The pizza is just not that good. The ingredients were just average quality and the consistency of the crust is odd. The thickness isn't quite thin or hand-tossed, as I prefer a thinner crust, but the overall taste of the pie was not to our liking. Although our pizza wasn't especially good, I'll probably return in a few weeks to give the place another shot.

Now this is a nice pizza spot in a nice location. I recently visited with a group of friends that recommended this place. I had the El Diablo pizza minus the bacon and added spinach. I thought it was an interesting combination on this pizza so I had to try it. It had grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, banana peppers, jalapenos, BBQ drizzle & the house cheese. One word - Delicious. The restaurant has a roadhouse/bar feel to it with an outdoor patio and a full bar on the side and a nice selection of beers. I highly recommend this pizza parlor. Two thumbs up.

I'm honestly scratching my head over here wondering why there are so many bad reviews. Every single times I've come here, I've been happy...I really like this place! For starters, the space is open, airy, huge and I love the twinkle lights on the patio out front. The decor inside is so kitschy and different than the typical boring pizza joint. This place has personality! I mostly stick to the pizzas because that is what I like...and they're a pizza place...sooo...anyways, I did get their Delta Sub once and while it was good, they are a pizza place so I pretty much just stick to that now. Particularly their Cheesecake & Chocolate Pizza...dessert on a pizza...swoon.

Long overdue but I'm updating my review. I'm just not a fan of the pizza here but that's the great thing about city living, there's plenty of choices for everyone. But the bf really does like this place so it took a few tries but I found a go to meal here: the BBQ nachos! Seriously, they are huge and delicious. I absolutely cannot finish the entire plate and I'm not one to walk away from meat and cheese easily. The staff is still incredibly friendly, the place is still impeccably clean and the decor kitschy fun. If you're not a fan of ny style pizza the pizza here will probably delight you, if not there's other options to try. Kids seem to really dig the fun interior and the convenient location makes it a good option for a pre or post family meal if visiting a family friendly Memphis attraction.

This is one of those places that I really want to LOVE, but, as of now, I just like. The pizza is great - I like thicker crusts, and the thick crust here is really good. My pizza was awesome, and I got the lunch special with a small pizza, salad, and drink for $10. Not a bad deal! (The Caesar salad is $1 upcharge, but oh well, still a good deal) This is an order at the counter place, and, really, the counter girls were very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, after that was a different story. Our food came out in kind of a crazy order - my friend got her pizza a good 5 minutes before her salad, or any of my food. She didn't have any salad dressing, so we had to go ask for some. Then I got my pizza. And then finally my salad. No one was...rude...but I definitely felt like we were putting them out by asking for things like our food. The inside is cute, the patio looks great, food is really good. If they can get their acts together with the service and food running I'll be there often!

Based on reviews, I had very low expectations. However I was pleasantly surprised. The tamales are average good. I tried two types if wings. The chicken. Is average but the sauces are good. The hot isn't spicy, but has all the flavor elements. The honey golden BBQ is on point. I tried three flavors of thick crust pizza. The crust is really good and I enjoyed all the flavors. In had the hot chick which reminds me of a buffalo wing. The islander is good too. It has pineapple on it and I don't like pineapple on my pizza but it was good. The BBQ pizza is good too with a sweetness. The decor is nice too. The service was good.

We bought an amazon local deal voucher that had expired (we thought it lasted later than it did, our bad, but it was still worth what we originally paid for it) so we decided to try this location out. The employee taking our order didn't know what to do about the expired voucher and disappeared for a long time and then came back and said that the manager was going to be nice and take it anyways. I was kind of upset that they were giving me problems bc they legally have to take it and seemed to not bother to read the wording on the voucher. So beware if you too have an expired voucher for this place. So finally after about 20 minutes we were able to order our pizzas. I created my own personal pizza with black olives and mushrooms. Then we waited, and waited some more. We were occupied for awhile looking at the cool and random things found all over the interior. The place was pretty empty, and it seemed to take too long to get our food. It was decent, but overall I would rather go to the one in Southaven (way closer to my home) than drive all the way out to this one.

I live right nearby and am very happy to have a place that serves alcohol practically at my doorstep, haha. That being said, the atmosphere is creative but not really my favorite, especially for the area--it's kinda a theme-park feel.. painting a scene reminiscent of being lost in the desert and finding the only gas station for miles around... They accomplished that theme well though! As for the pizza, it's great! I liked the spinach and artichoke dip too. And the bartender is a really cool guy. (Everyone else seems friendly too). It's a fun place. GO! (Even if it's to chill on the patio for an alcoholic treat and some apps).

Had their pizza for a work function today and I was pleasantly surprised. Pretty good. This coming from a NYC pizza fanatic. It was not bad and I definitely would order it. It is more a 3.5 stars. Good, not great, but definitely worth trying. The pizza had flavor. Good seasoning. The meat on the pizza wasn't fake. I had 2 different types of chicken pizzas and the meat wasn't that fake frozen fajita chicken meat that most places give you.

Since moving here to Memphis, I have had a hard time finding amazing pizza. I had found some that were pretty good, but nothing like the ones that would blow me away back home. That is, until I discovered the Lost Pizza Company. They just had a grand opening here in Memphis this past weekend and they were actually donating part of their proceeds to a local community organization, so I decided to go. To my surprise, this was an establishment where you order and pay at the counter, but the rest of the layout is very much a restaurant style. My eyes widened when I saw they had thick crust pizza; a style that seemed to be lost on the city of Memphis. I ordered the individual pepperoni and sausage pizza and the lady ordered the individual buffalo chicken pizza, with some garlic cheese bread to split. There was a small area of the restaurant behind the soda machines with three booths and a big screen TV; we had decided to sit there. The garlic cheese bread came out and it was very good. The bread was solid in the crust and soft in the interior, and they did not skimp on the cheese. I only wish it had been slightly more of a garlic presence. Overall though, still quite good. Then the pizza's came out and a smile grew over my face, as I had found the pizza I was looking for. One bite into my pizza and I was completely sold. The pizza is very doughy and rich in flavor; they are liberal with their toppings and everything comes together in perfect balance. I had a bite of my girlfriend's pizza and it too was quite amazing. The only reason why I am docking this place a star is because we tried the Chicken Alfredo pasta on our next visit and it definitely did not even come close to the greatness that was their pizza. However, the pizza and the ambiance here is truly amazing I am certainly looking forward to coming back here time and time again!

I almost let the reviews sway me, but man am I glad I didn't! From the service when you first walk through the door to the delicious cheesy garlic sticks, all the way to the kujo pizza, everything was an absolute five star experience. As soon as we walked in they offered my daughter a ball of dough to just play with at the table, she absolutely loved it. We will definitely return, don't listen to all these bad reviews. We experienced nothing less than excellent service and food!

I'll preface this by saying I love pizza. So I'm probably a harsh critic. But the pizza here was pretty awesome. I went with the Hippy, and split a thick crust medium with a friend. It was plenty of food. The dough/crust had a good flavor, and there was the perfect amount of cheese and toppings. We then ordered a strawberry dessert pizza for the group, and it was devoured in seconds. My only complaint is that the service was a little slow, but the food made it worth the wait. Hope to be back soon.

As usual the food and service was good. I had the lunch special and could not eat it all. I truly enjoy this place.

If I could find a pizza/entre item that matched the excellence of the Six String lager and tamales, I would be happy, but I am not sure I am willing to go on that scavenger hunt.

placed an order to go Wednesday night.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
