This is always a good and lighter option for us. I really enjoy eating at any of these. My only complaint was it was really hard to get our food, the sneeze cover was way to low and you had to reach way down and back to get to anything, but after it was cooked it was really good. TIP: Be sure and ask the cooks for an egg, makes it so much better ;)

I have been to other locations of this chain and was very impressed with their selection. That being said this location had good customer service but lacked on ingredient choices and space. Glad we tried it but will not be returning.

Omg! My first time at a Genghis Grill ever and it was GREAT!! I came to town for my bestie's wedding and our large wedding party decided to come here for lunch the following day. I was the only newbie, so they had some 'splainin to do for me lol. I was a little hesitant about the whole "choosing and cooking your own food" idea at first, but the waiter was really nice and patient and explained everything... down to the last detail. Even with the size of our party, he didn't have any trouble. The buffet selection was great and the food cooked just right! I highly recommend! Tip: Keep in mind, food usually cooks down or shrinks. So, be sure to fill up your bowl as much as you can fit in before they cook it!

Genghis is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner. Beer, soda, standard flat bevs are available in this simple chain. The food is fresh and portions are based on price. You can build your own bowl or pick from a standard list if looking at your raw food is too much. Service is standard but the cooks are quick. Health Note: MSG and loads of sugar in most of the sauces and the meat and veggies are not organic. The cooks use a vegetable oil on all dishes. If you are concerned, bring your activated charcoal!

I have eaten at the various Genghis Grill locations for the last several years. I have always found the food good, and enjoyed the ability to "create my own meal" by selecting the ingredients. This particular Genghis Grill is newer than some of them, is very clean and well-kept, has good service, and parking is easy and abundant. I don't think I have a particular favorite food to recommend. I usually just select whatever meat I'm in the mood for, and whatever vegetables I'm in the mood for, and then the chefs prepare it and serve it with rice. Every meal I've had here has been good. As an aside, a few months ago I met the owner of the area franchises at a charity event. Genghis Grill was there donating their staff and food to raise money for a charity, which I found to be commendable.

This was my first time here and I considered it average. I enjoyed the selection of food and options to make my stir fry. The food was brought to me quickly and very hot, it was enjoyable. On the other side, I sat at the bar, and what I didn't appreciate was the manager talking to her employees about trying to gain control of workers because everyone is doing their own thing and nothing was consistent. I appreciate the manager recognizing the need for standard work practices but that conversation needs to happen in the back room with your team, not in front of a customer. Other employees started to say they know who the manager was talking about, etc. I immediately started questioning my experience there and it just felt awkward to hear this conversation. I also saw employees fraternizing with each other and touching each other inappropriately. It is fine to joke around with each other and have a good time at work, don't cross the line though. Not the overall experience I was expecting. I will not return.

I figured Ghengis deserved a good review. The two below seem very unfair ESPECIALLY considering one of the guys has 8 reviews and 7 of them are of Ghengis Grill. If you have a problem with them removing a promotion, call Corporate don't punish local owners. Anyways! I LOVE Ghengis Grill. Maybe it's because I'm an "amateur" chef and I love any opportunity to create something. If this place gets a bad review it should NEVER be because the food is bad. You created it! I come all the time!! Definitely give this place a try!

I went to GG for lunch last week. I've been to several in several states. As always the food is fresh and as flavorful as you make it. The service was fine. Don't expect too much as you're using your imagination too create the culinary masterpiece. I'll be back.

Ok..this was my first-time here.. I was thrown off by the name. My Bad.. Excellent experience. Great for a date with your spouse, your kids or your bestie.. Kind of like a I pick it you cook it type of thing. You actually pick the entree meat, what goes on it and what comes with it.. and they cook it to your specification. Awesome. 5 stars for service, concept, ambiance and the end product. Definitely a return spot.

I was very underwhelmed by this place. It reminded me of a similar type of restaurant, Flat top grill, only there were fewer options and the atmosphere wasn't as hip. There are plenty of veggies to choose from (except they were out of broccoli), but the fact that tofu was the only protein option for vegetarians was disappointing (would have loved some seitan, tempah, mushroom meat...). The place was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. My boyfriend (meat-eater) seemed more pleased than I was. Perhaps I'm unfairly comparing them to Flat Top, but it felt mediocre.

So, it was my first time at Genghis Grill and after having terrible experiences at similar mongolian-style restaurants, I wasn't super excited about this place. Knowing that I'd gone wrong in the past with adding flavors and ingredients that didn't work well together, I used one of their recipes - Mongo BBQ with beef, mixed veggies and mongo BBQ sauce. I pretty much stayed the course with their recommendations with only a few modifications and it was absolutely delicious. I was surprised! We went during the lunch hour but the grill line moved fairly fast such that everyone in my party was eating together. This experience has restored my faith in the possibility of a good meal at a Mongolian grill.

Wholly Molly! This place looks awesome, but let me tell you.... it sucks! Yes, it was busy, and yes, they have many toppings to put in your dish, but the service... the service is not on par! They do not refill the drinks without asking. Do NOT go to this place.... Go to BGR next door instead...

This place is going down hill fast. It used to be pretty good. Here are some things I noticed during my visit last weekend. 1. They give you a sauce cup now so you can't get two yourself. One is all I need, but obviously if they are doing this kind of penny-pinching, it is clear their philosophy has changed. It's still $12 for a bowl, by the way. 2. The service was awful. We literally didn't see our server from the time the food came until we were done. Our drinks were completely empty for around 10 minutes. 3. The food isn't as good as it used to be. They are probably using cheaper ingredients trying to increase profits. 4. There is a sign that tells you to tip not only the wait staff, but the "grillmasters" as well. So, Genghis Grill is too cheap to pay their cooks, so we have to tip them now? on a $30 meal? Ridiculous. I used to really like Genghis Grill, but I am done with it now.

Food and service is good but the place is kinda dirty I didnt wanna touch the menu or soy sauce bottle cause it had food all over it and the walls could use a soapy towel but usually great place to eat

My first time here and I must say the food was great. I ordered a drink at the bar and since they didn't have mango puree the bartender put mango rum in it...and told me after she had made the drink. She should have told me when I ordered the drink but it was still good so I didn't complain.

Service was terrible. Took to long for someone to approach us for service once we were seated. Food was cooked with the wrong rice for both orders. Our drinks were never refilled. Enjoy the food but not sure I will be back to this location.

Ugh, I am not sure what happened. Maybe the food was not cold enough, the grill not hot enough, or just a little too much MSG.... whatever the reason, within 24 hours, my GI tract was prepped for a colonoscopy. The only problem was I did not need a colonoscopy, I am only in my early 30's! Yikes, I will not be back. A few more comments for those who are willing to take the Genghis cleanse challenge. The interior of the restaurant is bright but not exactly clean feeling, i distinctly remember sticky floors. If you have not been there before, you will be seated, and told about the do it yourself buffet and pricing and handed cafeteria style plastic bowls. The buffet is like a salad bar, except there are a bunch of raw meats, with raw meat juices that gets on your hands when you fill your plate. There is no hand sanitizer before or after the buffet. Yikes. You hand off your bowl after you add sauce and pick a carb, and it goes onto this super cool grill. It makes its way to your table after it has hit the hot grill top. I have to say, mine was super yummy, until approximately 6-8 hours later at which time I was making deals with baby Jesus, and promising to never sin again, if only the hell fires leaving my body would just stop.

The food is good, but the service is absolutely terrible. I had a coupon for a free Ghengis bowl on my birthday and they were unbelievably rude to me and would not let me have it for free like my coupon said. What a birthday experience that was! I will never go back after that. Spare yourself the experience if you value being treated like a human being at least a little.

Im still disappointed that the unlimted bowl is gone but I was told they were going to have a new bowl size. The only reason I liked the unlimted was due to not trying to cram alot into a small bowl and making a mess in the process. So now to the four stars. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was contacted personally about the issue. That means alot to me that a busniness took time to truly listen to there customer.

Love the Mongolian grill concept. Food is course what you make it however service at this location has been less than consistent the last few times I have been here.

  • Casey B.

I've been here many times. With all the ingredients available, you have many variations to try. Service is usually good when I go. It's fun to see how high I can pile my bowl up without it toppling over. For about $9 I get a lunch and to-go box with enough food for another meal. Can't go wrong with that.

  • CC D.

I gotta admit that I had a pretty bad attitude going in to this place. I think I'm just getting a little too old and crotchety for this concept. I just want to order and have my food brought to me. I don't want to do all the leg work myself. It didn't help matters that the place is loud - it's all hard surfaces and high ceilings; nothing to absorb the noise - and the staff was all soft-spoken. I just had to guess at what people were saying. But I left happy and that's all that matters. The food was tasty and a good deal. Now that I know how it works, it will be easier and more fun next time.
