Came here looking for seaweed, neogiri, kimchi, and banchon which they had! They had all the Asian ingredients I've been looking for since Wal-Mart didn't have much of a variety. I am only here for vacation so it was amazing to find an Asian market close to my hotel! And within the same plaza is a Korean restaurant which is delicious! This market had plenty of Korean facial creams and serums available for reasonable prices. The ladies that helped us with our grocery list was very friendly and helpful which made our experience an enjoyable one. Overall I wood recommend this place to anyone looking for some Asian ingredients or toiletries.

Owner opened early since I was waiting outside. Great personal service. Would shop there again.

Nice place...kind of small, but they are friendly and had the things I was looking for which I was not able to find at Viet Hsu or the Farmers Market.

This place is such a hidden gem in the sea of mainstream groceries Memphis offers. It's even the underdog among ethnic markets; most people just know of VH foods (riverdale). I strongly suggest visiting this market, regardless of if you regularly purchase Asian-imported goods. The store is on the small side, but their selection is not. They have a wonderful variety of cookware upon entrance. They also stock tons of frozen seafood, as well as dried beans and noodles. They have freshly prepared items as well. I saw ready-to-eat squid salad. They have kimchi. I've been aquatinted with the woman who runs the store before, and even before I knew her she went completely out of her way to help me. I walked in and she smiled and greeted me, then asked if she could help me find anything. I come here for Soon dubu, a Korean soft tofu. The kind lady took me directly to it and brought it to the counter for me. The prices here are better than anyone could ask for. Everything is very reasonably priced - in fact, many items seem like a steal. Most of the selection is targeted to Korean and Japanese goods consumers, but I guarantee you'll find something interesting here. 5 stars for great prices, selection, and service.

I love exploring the various ethnic markets that Memphis has to offer. And Asiana Market doesn't fail to be a treasure trove of Asian cooking and cultural delights. And, this is the place to go, as you'll pay way less than you would in a normal U.S. market, as it's not considered a specialty store. Bonus. It's in a strip mall, and the store isn't huge, but they fit a lot in. I was literally like a kid in a candy store, poring over their candy section when you first walk in -- all sorts of colorful items, blueberry lozenges, Lotte Ginger gum (I picked up a pack for 79 cents), vitamin C drops, jelly candies, and more. If you love Korean BBQ, you're in luck, they have an excellent selection of Korean BBQ sauces, as well as the popular Thai hot sauce, sriracha. You can get a big, squeezable container for around four bucks. I asked the nice woman behind the counter if they had rice noodles, and indeed they do, a whole aisle's worth of various clear noodles, some made from rice, some from sweet potato starch (I picked up a big package of that, otherwise known as 'Korean vermicelli' for only $1.99), and some from green bean, pea, and corn starch. Perfect for you folks with food allergies, and those who love Pho. Also spotted, was a big selection of dried beans, including mung, dried wasabi peas along with jars of wasabi. If you want to munch, there's a huge aisle of munchies, including trail mix, corn chips, and shrimp flavored crunchy snacks. I wandered to the coolers and spotted shredded, dried coddle fish and jellyfish, frozen sea squirts, and good, frozen fish of various varieties, all shipped from Asia. Everything looked to be of good quality. You can also find Korean soup starter, rice milk, water chestnuts, canned Enokitake mushrooms (the long, skinny white mushrooms), and huge bags of dried red pepper. If you're looking for Asian beauty items you'll find a small selection of cosmetics and hair dyes, as well as some videos, and cooking utensils.
