Cool Springs Brewery Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Overall: Microbrewery with lots of pizza and sandwich options. Food: 3/4 of the menu is dominated by pizzas so it's hard not to order one. There are lots of unique ingredients along with the old stand-bys so that works out well (I'm currently on a boring-pizza-topping embargo. Just over them! Bring on anything but pepperoni and sausage.) Moving on... the calzones are huge and I can't believe I ate the entire thing! They are PACKED with cheese, but could probably have more in the topping category. I haven't ordered any of the sandwiches, but others at the table ordered them and seemed to be pretty happy with them. Empty plates all around. Drinks: It's a microbrewery so, for the love, don't order bud light. There are about 8 options that range from a light, crisp beer all the way to a porter. I'm not into real hoppy beers so I stick with the hefeweizen or the "franklin's first" and they both go down smooth. Atmosphere/Service: It's a microbrewery, but it has a kids menu. (that should speak volumes.) I usually try to get a booth, that usually keeps me out of ear shot of any screaming children that may wander in with families. (Calm down, I'm not anti-child, I just don't have any of my own and don't feel like deal with the screaming variety when I'm trying to enjoy a meal) Cost: Sandwiches are about $7 and calzones start at $9. Actual pizzas start at about $15.

I've been to the Cool Springs Brewery a few times. They are in a convenient location on Cool Springs Blvd behind TGI Fridays just off I-65. It's got a nice atmosphere and a polite staff. It always seems to be clean and well kept. They brew their own beer and you can see the brewing equipment as soon as you walk in the door. It really adds to the overall experience. I've only ever eaten the pizza and I've been impressed with it. In the times I have been in the evening, they had live music. During lunch, they offer a lunch buffet in which they have pizza, breadsticks, pasta, and a salad bar. All of the food seems fresh. The beer they brew is pretty good. My personal favorite is Franklin's First. They also sell their brews by the growler for those who'd like to enjoy the beer from the comfort of home. It's classier than your typical pub, but still casual. I'll continue to go the Cool Springs Brewery as long as they continue on the path they are on.

I've been here a few times for lunch and have ordered both the buffet and entrees. The food is good and the atmosphere is a great getaway during the work week. The service has always been good.

The beer is pretty good, though there aren't any crazy varieties that knock your socks off -- all are traditional styles without stretching the boundaries. Pizza is average. Prices are on par with what you'd expect. Service is OK, not exceptional. Basically, bar food with decent beer. Expect nothing more and you'll like it.

What can I say. It's a brewery, they always have good pizza and the staff loves to have a good laugh. We haven't had a bad experience and most of the time have our guys nights here.

Beer--3 stars--I had the IPA which was really tasty, great flavor! The wife ordered a porter that had peppers or something going on, she was done after 1 sip, I tried it too, not very good! Whatever the server replaced it with a Pumpkin ale which was also very good and tasty. Food--1 star--Menu is very limited, I think they want to be considered pizza/ italian. Just a few items besides the pizzas. So we ordered a regular cheese pizza and a stomboli. The pizza was flavorless, sauce and cheese super bland, extremely small with pretty much no crust. The stromboli had those little pre maid sausage links that weren't completely cooked. The cheese again, not much going on there. The stromboli was all wet on top when we got it, didn't really get that. DIdn't look like any stomboli I've ever had. The dough was tasty. Probably should get some italians to make your italian food. Ambiance--4 stars--Very weird location, usually wouldn't walk into a place that was in a cheesy strip mall area but it was a brewery. Once inside I was very surprised how nice it was. Nice little set up, TVs, tiered seating, cool signage. Pretty inviting. Service--1 star--Well, there were like 8 girls and a guy serving maybe 8 tables. Pretty empty for a saturday. Our little server came over to take our order, she had that "I'm doing you a favor attitude." Didn't really offer any suggestions or engage us in any way. Never introduced herself. Basically an order taker. We ordered, she didn't feel the need to write our order down which is why my wife never got her salad. I HATE when servers don't write you order down, you know they're gonna miss something. Brought appetizer, no plates, had to ask for them. Duh! Brought pizza without plates, returned with 2 plated for a 4 top. Duh! Plates should have been on the table before, not after. But I wouldn't want to break up the server party with all the girls standing around talking and not dressed appropriately for a restaurant. Short shorts, really? Once our partial order of food was delivered, server vanished, never came back to ask us how our crappy food was or if we needed anything. You got 8 servers, WTF, somebody do something. Never seen someone vacuuming during service either. Anyways! Strange but true--My server passed my table with a large beer. I jokingly said "why are you holding out on me? I would like one of those." Her "They are for people who come here a lot." Me " I'm not from here but I do drink a lot." Her "no." I'm like go F yourself, what a tool. Sorry I don't live here, you could have charged me $10, I wouldn't have cared. Sorry I'm not in your club, great way to run a business. Figured the salad we didn't get, the beer I wasn't allowed to order, the dessert we didn't order because my wife was pissed and the tip I didn't leave probably cost them around $30. I assume you go to work to make money and have a successful business. I don't think they get that here. Should say LOCALS ONLY on the door.

Great Beer and Great Pizza. The beer is made on site and man is it good. Pizza has a nice thin crust and the sauce really makes it. Best time to go is for the lunch buffet when you can sample all the pizzas they make. Service is usually very good, but when they get slammed, which is just about every Friday and Saturday night around 7-9 p.m. it can be a little slow. My only complaint is that they seem to not want kids there.

First off, I didn't realize it would be so difficult to find craft breweries in a city the size of Nashville. What's the deal with that? I always try and seek out a new brewery to try out whenever I am traveling and Cool Springs was the one I chose when driving through Nashville. I'm lucky this was the one that I picked to check out. They had some serious high quality beers on tap. I tried the black ale, ipa and the saison. All were super full flavored and had incredible balance even for the high abv's on a few of them. Because of my constant beer questions, the bartender grabbed the brewer Derrick Morse for me to annoy. Derrick was fantastic and we talked beer for at least an hour. He was super passionate about the emerging beer scene in Nashville and was fired up that he made the move from craft beer crazy Boulder to an area that he could help develop the market for full flavored beers. He even has a sour program. Wish I could have tasted some, but he didn't have any available when I was in. If you are in to great beer like I am, make sure to stop by cool springs when you are in Nashville. Make sure to ask for Derrick and he will be able to educate you on all his tasty brews.

A strip mall surprise. I mean really, who doesn't love that?? I've heard about the CSB for months now, so after a failed puppy adoption mission we decided to check it out. The beer gets 4 stars and my pasta dish gets 2 so we have an even 3. I think I would shy away from the pasta and probably go pizza next time. People seemed pleased with their pies. The decor on the inside is quite cool too. I like plants, they are calming and this place had plants. It also has a private room with a TV if you want to have a mini party. Football anyone? It's not huge but it is tri-level. I'll be back for sure, the beer prices were pretty, darn good. The people watching was great too, this seems like the place to be on a Saturday.

To me the food is mediocre but my husband really likes the pizza. The service is good and the owners are very friendly. The beer, however, is outstanding. Try the pecker wrecker and purchase a growler or two. I like a lighter beer and am never disappointed. Great local microbrewery and pub.

I was excited when I heard there would be a new micro brew in the Nashville area. I put it off for a long time, for the simple fact is I never have any other need to go to Cool Springs, and I still don't! The server was really nice, the pizza was average, and the ambiance was there. However, I can get that at a hundred places in Nashville. It just comes down to the beer isn't that good. I tried the porter first, and I was okay with it, not worth the 20 mile drive from Nashville. We then tried the pale ales, the IPA tasted metallic, and the red was under carbonated (which the waitress warned us about, so our bad on that one). We brought a growler with the intention of taking some home for a night cap, but we just stopped for a sixer on the way home instead. If I lived in the Franklin area I would probably go there, but I am happy with my Blackstone and Bosco's in town.

I did not think that this place would be as nice as it was. When we walked in around 8pm on Friday, it was poppin with people! There were multiple people waiting to be seated, but for some reason are party of 2 got seated immediately... It was quite nice. We were seated in the second floor of the restaurant. Its a really cool area, completely open to the whole restaurant, just up above everything. There was a guy playing live music on the lower level. He was covering all the routine top hits. He was half way decent at his job. We ordered the calamari appetizer to start, and the 14in meat lovers pizza. The calamari was quite tasty. It had banana peppers mixed in with it??? That was surprisingly a good combo! The calamari came with a little bowl of marinara type sauce with large chunks of tomatoes in it. Not bad at all. The pizza was not the best pizza I have had, yet not near the worst pizza I have had. It was a little salty for my taste honestly. This place was a fun environment if your looking for a busy bar/restaurant type of place to have fun on the weekend or week day. They also brew there own beer here as well. They have a huge brewery set up in the restaurant. I think It would be cool to be there grabbing a bite to eat as the brew master is hard at work mixing the hops! If your a beer fan this is the place for you! They do sell large gallon size to go containers of your choice of fresh brewed beer. You can also bring your container back in for a refill when ever you please : ). Overall this place was fun, tasty, and unique! I highly recommend it!

We had went to a movie at the nearby Carmike Cinemas and decided to check out what was nearby... as beer fans we decided to give the new Cool Springs Brewery a try. Once inside, we headed for the bar (we'd been here once before when it was Guidos). It took awhile for us to get the bartender to come over to us... she was busy talking with a group of guys. Once we did get her attention, we'd ordered a beer, but one of the "guys" yelled something out to her and she left our beers where the tap was and went to talk to him... not great. Once we finally got our Fatback Amber's... they were pretty tasty. We were hungry for lunch and we drank our entire beer + 10 minutes before we could get the bartenders attention (and for the record... the only people in the bar were the 3-4 guys she was talking to and my husband and I... so it wasn't busy). We finally got a menu and I asked her to just wait a second because we wanted to order... we got the white pizza (something we'd had before when it was Guidos... and loved) and two more fatback amber's. About 20 minutes later we got our pizza.... and it wasn't what we'd remembered. The pizza was bland and didn't have nearly enough pesto or ricotta. It took us another 15 minutes after we were done with our pizza and 2nd beers to get her attention and get our check. It was getting pretty annoying. We really did like their beer and the location/decor/vibe are all good... but the service and the pizza left a lot to be desired. I'd like to say we'll be back, but I'm not certain we will, and it makes me sad because they have a lot of potential to make it fantastic... but right now they're missing the mark.

Excellent service! Good pizza, spicy penne, and calzones! The kids menu was ok. I suggest getting the sampler of their own 7 beers, good to try all before ordering a second. Definitely will come again!

3.5 stars. Nice place. Have never been when it's super crowded or on the weekends. Beer - the Pecker Wrecker and their new Red are both quite good. None of the others really stood out to me. Service is decent. No complaints, other than them kinda rushing us out the last time I was there. Monday night football, still had pizza on our plates and beer in glasses and we were brought the check. We said we probably wanted another beer... were told no problem, but they obviously wanted to GTFO and for us to do the same. Large salad, fresh for it being the end of the serving night. Pizzas are a little pricey for the money and quality. Nothing I'd crave over other local pizza. Would go back again for beer and pizza to watch the game or hang with friends. They do have happy hour 4-7, and other nightly specials.

My husband & I have been here at least 4 or 5 times for drinks and/or a meal but we recently held our wedding celebration party in the upstairs private area. Chris (the owner) was great to work with and very flexible with the arrangements. We served various pizzas, hot wings, salad, chips & salsa, and dessert pizza to our guests, who also got to choose from the great selection of house-brewed beers and other beverages from the bar. Service (by Nef & Macey) was excellent. CSB is very affordable, especially at happy hour (4-7pm daily), serves great food & drink, and has a fun vibe. This is our "go to" place when we're in the Cool Springs area!

Love their lunch buffet..it has gotten pricy for what you get. We've been there several times for dinner, not a real fan of their menu items.

This is my favorite microbrew in the Nashville area. I have yet to have one of their beers that I have not liked. The schwarzbier has been my favorite and they do a great job of being creative and putting new beers out there to see if they are a hit. The pizzas are all good and my favorite thing to eat is the meatball sandwich. It's the perfect compliment to any of their beers. Their wings are excellent as well. While it has a great bar, it's safe and family friendly and has tons have room to share with friends.

Having only about 2 hours for dinner and grocery shopping, my wife and I came across the Cool Springs Brewery on a Saturday night. Honestly I expected to have a long wait (Fridays had a line out the door), but unexpectedly we were seated immediately. That's not to say they didn't have a good number of people. We sat on the upper level over looking the bar and kitchen. The brewery was clean and had a nice atmosphere. My wife ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo (not bar or brewery but I'm not gonna argue with her) and I ordered the Brewery Sub. I also tried the Oatmeal Stout. Let me tell you, I have never had a taster, better prepared sub anywhere! Our orders were delivered promptly and the presentation was superb. The Oatmeal Stout micro brew was absolutely delicious as well (I drink Murphy's Stout normally). The only reason I didn't give them a five star review is because our server was average, no meaning less chit-chat here, she was all business. But, a smile or something would have been nice. Next time we do our shopping at the close by Walmart, we will certainly stop in again and have some pizza!

LOVE IT! FOOD IS OMG! Pizza taste like homemade. The sauce is wow! Had the franklin beer..pretty tasty. Then again I'm not a beer fanatic I just like hanging out :-) Will definitely go again!

We were in the area doing some shopping and decided to give this place a try because we had a coupon. We're fans now. We ordered two pizzas. The Barbeque and The Special with a few substitutions. No garlic on The Barbeque and no onions and sausage on The Special (which makes it our standard so that we could get a god comparison between all the pizza places). The Barbeque was Dear Hubby's favorite. It had a nice kick to it and to me it tasted like it had a bit of an Asian influence on it, maybe in the sauce. The Special was very good. The crust here is nice. Thin, crispy and yet tender. We took the leftovers home and these may have warmed up better than any other leftover pizza we've ever had. We'll definitely be going back for more.

My sister stopped by on a Monday 5pm ish. It was pretty empty. We did the beer sampler since they brew their own beers. The beers were typical. We had some awesome stuffed mushrooms and a garden salad. The food was good, the beer was decent.

Two visits, two awesome Calzones. Not a beer expert, so give me the brew that tastes most like Bud Light...yeah...I know. So, I can't tell you much about the discernment of the brew pub aspect. But I can tell you that I loved the calzones. Great dough, great filling. Really nice with Italian sausages, cheese, ricotta, etc. Nice side salad with quality greens and veggies Good price. A filling Calzone, beer and salad for $16. I swear I am going to try the meatball sub one day. Good efficient friendly service. So, its good, and I will be back.

If you enjoy a great craft beer, I'd highly recommend Cool Springs Brewery. My favorite beers, at the moment, are Pecker Wrecker and Pile Driver, which are both a bit hoppy.

If you have a friend in who's a beer and Italian food fan, this is definitely a stop to consider. Visited on a Saturday afternoon around 1. Not very crowded, but they do have quite a bit of seating available. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It arrived mixed with spices and banana peppers with a side of marinara. The breading on the calamari was delicious and being mixed in with the banana peppers gave it an extra oomph. Probably my favorite calamari served anywhere. We decided to do the tasting of their microbrews. We got five glasses (a bit bigger than a shot glass) with a list accompanied on the table to give you some information on each one. Now, I'm no beer tasting expert, but they definitely have some interesting brews, and if you're so inclined, you can purchase a growler of their favorite one (you can also bring it back for refills at a small cost). For lunch I ordered the fettuccine alfredo. So delicious. I liked that the sauce wasn't too thick. It was very light, not too overbearing with cream or cheese. This will definitely be a place I'll be visiting again. It's also a neat attraction that you can see where they brew the beer. They don't give tours, but you can see the container from inside (and through the window) of the restaurant. And apparently they have a lunch buffet!

The Cool Springs Brewery is easily one of the more enjoyable places in Franklin to have a quick pint, enjoy some delicious food, or watch a sporting event. the staff is always accommodating and friendly, and the local brews are very tasty (Oatmeal Stout and Mel's Hefeweizen are fantastic). It is this great atmosphere that has me coming back at least weekly, if not more.

I go to a micro brewery primarily for the beer. The beer here is OK -- not bad, but not outstanding. In fact, the Fat Back Amber is the only one that I really care for. However, this may change with time; making beer is an art and I will continue to come back and see if the beer improves. It is a good spot for happy hour -- on my visits, there has been a pretty large after work crowd on weeknights. There are also some happy hour food specials. The service has been efficient and friendly. The pizza is good too; I believe it's the very same pizza that this place served when it was Guido's Pizza.

Good local brewery with some interesting brews. Recommend you sample before buy - some are a little strange and might not appeal to usual preferences. Staff of very helpful so it's not a problem. Great atmosphere and plenty of TVs. Sheep Tease New Zealand IPA is really good with imported hops. Not so for Nice Rack Mango IPA - even the staff recommend blending it with their other IPA if you are looking for more traditional IPA flavor. Parking is limited since this place is popular and located in strip center. Happy hour is 4-7 PM.

How can you not love a place with beer names like these? Dew Me Now Pecker Wrecker Titches Wit Nice Rack Conan The Brewbarian Dumb Blonde I visited Cool Springs yesterday, grabbed a seat at the bar and chatted with the personable mohawked bartender. I asked if they sold beer by the flight or in a sampler, and he said they offered a ten beer taster for eight and a half bucks. A few minutes later, I had ten small glasses lined up in front of me ranging in color from apple juice to black coffee. I really liked the first one- a mild lighter blonde, I also liked the mango IPA, and the orange & citrus of the Tiches Wit. I had such a nice time, soaking in the atmosphere, chatting with the staff, and sampling the very impressive beer selection..

Ate at Cool Springs Brewery tonight with a friend. Our experience was lack luster from the start. The appetizers we ordered, garlic bread and the spinach dip with pita chips was fairly subpar as appetizers go. The pita chips were more like pita bread and tasted similar to funnel cake rather than pita, likely due to being fried in the same oil. The garlic bread was tolerable, but the marinara sauce was typical canned pizza sauce. The spinach dip was actually good, but would have been much better if served hot. I ordered the bangers and mash, hoping for a decent pub fare. The bangers were mushy and could have definitely been better quality, and the potatoes tasted bland. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese, which was surprisingly the best part of the meal. My friend ordered the chicken alfredo pasta and said the pasta had very little flavor and the chicken was so bad she could not eat it. This place is also a tad pricier than some other pubs/eateries we have tried. While it was an experience, this will be a one time visit to this establishment.

I would say first that the beer is amazing. No question about it. Also my service from the bartender was superbly helpful and friendly. The manager, though, while at first seemed very observant and attentive, proved otherwise. Within five minutes I heard fifteen profanities, sexual harassment of an employee and watched him drink (not taste for quality) a beer while working. What an absolute treat of a guy to work for, if you enjoy a misogynistic pretentious narcissist as a boss! I didn't even try the food: the experience was enough as it was. Plus, I question whether the kitchen has priorities like the manager. My recommendation? Get a growler to go and skip the bs inside.

Tried this place based on a recommendation from another Yelper, and boy am I glad I did. The decor is nice, there's plenty of TV's and lots of seating. Our server was quite friendly. Started off with a glass of their Belgian Trippel and it was fantastic. It was listed as having a 9.1%ABV but you honestly couldn't tell by the flavor. I'm going to have to go back and have a few more of these. My main reason for coming here, though, was to try the fish & chips. I absolutely love a good f&c, and heard that they're great here. These things were amazing! Now I've never been to England, but I have been to Boston, where I've had fish & chips. Boston was originally part of England, so therefore by the transitive property, I can say that the fish & chips at Cool Springs Brewery are every bit as good as the ones in England. Don't even think about debating this ballet of logic. The menu had quite a few other promising offerings, so I'm definitely going to have to make this a regular lunch destination in Cool Springs.

Menu has changed entirely with now an "English" focus to it. Most all the pastas are gone and just a different feel. There beers are still okay, but just not my favorite pick anymore.

If your a craft beer junky the Gold Finger (Belgian Strong Pale) is amazing! You can't go wrong with the Titches Wit either. If you like sours go for the Sour Ambers Essence or the Sour Farmhouse Ale. As for foodies, the beef nachos a superb starter, along with the wings! As for actual meals that's all the further I've gotten because I can't get past the starters!

I go to this place for one thing and one thing only: MANGO IPA The smell of hops and brewing beer beats you in the face the second you walk into the building. If this is your kinda thing, (I love it) then this place is for you. Food is just ok. They have a pretty good fish and chips plate.

OK so food honestly not all that bad, service terrible only one waitress in the entire restaurant at 17 people who are available to take my dirty plate away. The pizza is made cheaply. But worst of all is the smell, this restaurant stinks I don't know what it is, it might be old oysters it might be the hops from the beer I don't know what it is but I won't be back with that stink.

Cool sports pub in a suburban strip-mall. Interior is eclectic and fun and my server was very friendly. I was excited about the brewery aspect and ordered a glass of "Franklin's First" which was listed as a kolsch-type beer. It came out cloudy and looked and tasted to me more like a weiss (wheat beer), but the waitress told me that it "came out a little different" with each brewing and it was indeed what I ordered. That seems like a bit of a quality-control issue to me, but hey, it tasted good, so bottoms up! I got the fish & chips for my meal, in part because the menu promised that the kitchen staff had all been trained by a "British fish & chip expert" (whatever that means). Unless you have a huge appetite, I recommend the Small portion size which has quite a good size piece of fish. The fish was well battered and fried--tender and flaky inside, just lacking in seasoning (guess the chef really was British, hah!). Served with a small side of saucy coleslaw, it was quite a satisfying and enjoyable meal.

Cool Springs Brewery has great promise. Despite the suburban exterior, the inside is well laid out for a small stage, lots of TVs for sport events, and plenty of variety for seating arrangements. The servers were personable and attentive. They have flights - 5 or 10 sampler size glasses of beer, which is a great way to start. My favorites were the pecker wrecker (try not to laugh saying that out loud) and the ginger bombshell. Both were 4 stars. I'd rate the Franklin's First 3 stars - just a little light on flavor but great for a hot day. The Fatback Amber starts good but has a lingering sweetness I couldn't get past. The Blackout Stout was complex but I need more than a small sampler glass to decide on it. There is some tough competition in the Middle Tennessee area, and it's great to try another entrant. I had jalapeño poppers were pretty good and the fried calamari had some added pepper to make it delightful. I like where CSB is headed and applaud their efforts. I hope they'll attract a greater late night crowd too. The place emptied out before 11 on a Friday night. I'll be back...

On our way to sightsee just outside of Nashville, we stopped at Cool Springs Brewery. We love beer sampling. We make it a part of our vacations to check out the local breweries, like beer-cations. We looked up the beers and decided to head over. We order two samplers. As my boyfriend is reading off the names, Franklin's Twig and Berries, Circum Saison, Honey Pot, Pecker Wrecker IPA, Fatback Amber, Shaft Black IPA.....I'm laughing my head off. Oh so clever and naughty. I get the owner's sense of humor and I like it. For lunch, we ordered a side Cesar Salad and a Roast Beef Dip with Steak Fries to split. After all that beer it was the perfect amount of food. The fries were cooked perfectly. My curiosity got the best of me and had to try this Rum Chata, it's Rum plus Horchata and intrigued me throughout the trip. I had some on ice and it was pretty good. I think I may buy a bottle for me and my friends to enjoy at home.

We were in town overnight and wanted to go someplace local, rather than a chain you can find anywhere. Luckily, I scrolled far enough down to find this place! Although it was busy, we were seated almost immediately. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The live music was fun. While there wasn't a huge selection of craft brews on tap (compared to what we're used to), the ones my husband and I had were very nice. I loved the smoky porter our server suggested, and DH loved the Pecker Wrecker. The food was really good. Fish and chips were what you'd hope for from a place owned by Brits! DH loved the pizza. Daughter1 devoured the spinach salad, and Daughter2 inhaled the fettuccine alfredo. And if you're looking for spicy mustard with a serious kick, get the soft pretzel appetizer. Should we ever be passing through again, we will be back!

There was a couple small food mistakes they very kindly remedied. But the flight here is one of the best I've seen around. You can definitely tell the English influence and the each beer had a great unique focal point; a feat hard to find in today's overcrowed beer scene.

Good food, good beer, would eat here again. I had the Franklins first brew. It was good.

My absolute favorite brewery restaurant in the area. I have been here several times, and have never had a bad beer. They have all been delicious and each one has been a unique and flavorful creation. For food, I have tried the white pizza (delicious) and the fish & chips. The Fish & Chips were fantastic and that's always a good pairing with beer.

The hubs and I come here regularly. They brew their own beer and often have unique rotating brews. And sometimes they use the public's help to name them! Their brew "Franklin's First" is the first commercially produced beer in Williamson County. This place steals the show when it comes to naming their beers! From their "Pecker Wrecker" (insert schoolgirl giggles here) to "Mrs. Stoutfire," their clever nomenclature never ceases to amuse me! Besides being a cool local brewery down here in Franklin, they have good pizza and calzones. Often I also eat salads which are par for the course. It's not really a sports bar, but you can catch a game here. And there is usually live music (mostly 1-2 person acoustic shows) on weekend evenings.

Drinks: I came here a few days ago for Happy Hour which offers $3 pints between 4 and 7 (minus high gravity brews). Good deal, we said! I chose the "I'll be black" and it was... not impressive. Sorry Cool Springs Brewery. It wasn't terrible. It was supposed to be a dark beer with caramel and chocolate notes per the description...but those just...weren't there. It tasted kind of like Dark Beer Light? Again, totally drinkable, but definitely not something I'd order again. My boyfriend got the Pecker Wrecker which was fine, but I'm not super into IPAs. Surprisingly, I really liked the Mango IPA he got next, though! Too bad I was driving and didn't want to get a second beer. Food: We also got pizza! I love pizzas that come in all shapes and sizes but I am always wary of pizzas that advertise as "NY Style" and I wish it didn't use that term to describe itself, because this pizza is tasty! Just not like it came from NY (read: I want it floppy, fold it in half so the grease drips down onto your plate, bubbles in the crust).... We got a cheese pizza with one topping. I'd get it again. Atmosphere: those "BEER! It's what's for breakfast!" and "I'm not a bitch I just don't care!" signs that are supposed to look vintage are legitimately EVERYWHERE. like seriously. Also music was pleasantly medium-level and sports were on the TVs. Service: Super nice waitress! No problems here. So summary: DON'T get the I'll be black. DO get the Mango IPA. And try the pizza! Just don't expect it to be like NY ! It's good, though. I promise. Also: this bar is (seemingly) kid friendly during happy hour, as a few were running around upstairs during our visit. Not a plus or minus, just a note for parents!

Beer is great. Interesting combinations of flavors or well done traditional brews. Wings are great. Pizza is ok. Recommended for beers and apps. Hot Rod, Fat Back Amber and pecker wrecker were all good brews.

Love this place! Good bar food, a great vibe and tasty microbrews. Mango IPA and the Tiches Wit are amazing! Great if you're looking for a local, small-box place to grab a good beer and a bite to eat.

Fish and chips again. Cant get enough. There are places in Nashville area with decent fish and chips, but CSB has the best anywhere around, by far. Im really hooked on them. Huge slab of fish and the batter is just right every time. HIGHLY recommended.

Great beer! They had so many different kinds of beer so I got the sampler. It was the easiest way to pick my favorite. My favorite was a light beer called Franklin's First. They have a great lunch buffet with New York style pizzas, pasta, breadsticks, and a salad bar. I must confess that I never made it to the salad bar. They kept putting out different types of pizza. My favorite was one with chicken and BBQ sauce. If you are in the area for lunch I recommend checking this place out. If you are a beer lover you should go on a day that you aren't working because you are sure to find one here that you love.

I come here as often as possible. The White East pizza is the best. They have a good selction of beers as well. The atmosphere is really unique especially since they are in a strip mall. This is a nice little find in Cool Springs

I really like this place. The food is excellent and the beer selection is very good and always changing. They have a few classics, but are constantly changing things up with new brews. They have a Facebook page that invites patrons to help them name the experimental beers. It's a fun spot on the weekends. They typically have a band on Friday night (some former students of mine from Belmont that cover some great songs). The service is good and overall the feel to the place is very relaxing. They also have a bar area. If you want to catch a game, then you can get a spot at the bar fairly easily. There is plenty of seating and rarely a wait. The Cool Springs Brewery doesn't take itself too seriously and I always enjoy eating there. They even make fun of the Kia owner (with the bangs and the giant wife) in their commercials!

Went with some of my family last week. Fantastic food, fantastic beer! Loved it and definitely will be back again. I had the shepherds pie and drunkin punkin. Dinner portions are large enough to carry out and have leftovers for the next meal.

This is a great local business. I have tried several of their brews. They are all pretty good. I go there for the pizza. The white east is great getting away from you standard pizzas. We had our company Christmas party there and they were very accommodating. Oh and they have a bar!

The Beer was good, the menu very diverse and the food pretty decent. The menu is upscale micro-brew/bar food. Wings and appetizers, salads, burgers, pizzas, pastas, subs, sandwiches, wraps, you name it. The menu is a little light on the burger selections but has a little of everything. 'The Great White' pizza with a garlic sauce, cheese and chicken.....very nice change of pace for a pizza. If I was in the area on a Friday during lent, I would probably come here for the Fish n Chips. Supposed to be make by an expert who has been doing it 40 years. The picture on the menu looked good. The location is in a strip mall in Cool Springs, so maybe not as much character as a mom-n-pop place, but a little more commercial. Good food and beer. Seems to be a good place to come for pizza, many people around us ordered pizza. Overall 4 Stars - 'I am a fan'.

This place called s awesome. We drive quite a good distance to get here and its always worth it. The beer is amazing and they have great pizza too. There is also an awesome buffet on Saturdays. Tons of TVs and large bar area. Also well suited for families too. Great place !!

Best English food in the area. Beer brewed on site has a great variety in taste. Highly recommend Franklin's First, an easy, good tasting beer. Bangers and mash the best I have tasted in the US so far.

The beer and the food here are consistenly good. Wings are fantastic as is the hummus. The Chicken Parm Sandwich is delicious and the Fish and Chips look amazing. I'm not a huge fan of the pizza. Wish the crust was better. The bartenders, Charday, Heather and Jacqueline are a lot of fun and the staff is solid. There are many long-time employees which speaks well as far as I'm concerned. 50 cent wings and $3 craft pints on Sundays. Can't go wrong.

I enjoy the beer and love the place. The owners are there, the staff & service is wonderful and the food is good. I enjoy having this as a local spot. Don't let the strip mall deter you -- it is a cool place. Kudos to CSB for their experimentation with different flavors. The Pecker Wrecker is my go to, but they always have interesting seasonals and new efforts. One request to the owners .... You're Brits for Queen's sake ... Give me a Bitter in a cask!!!!

We really enjoyed the ambience, the service, and the food of this place. The ambience is great because it's a microbrewry and we liked seeing the site! The tables and booths are spread out where it seems like the restaurant is series of dining rooms. Hard to explain but it makes it a neat vibe. They even have seating upstairs but you can see the table and chairs from downstairs. The service is great from the time you walk in and leave...you will feel warmly welcomed and the service was great. The server was very helpful in making choices from the menu. She was well versed in explaining flavors and such. For instance, she was able to tell us why their wings are great but different from everywhere else. She was right! She helped us choose a pizza way out of our comfort zone...and we were so glad that she did. We "only" ordered waters at our table and the table next to us with all the "drink" orders didn't get better service than we did...that's a big deal and worth nothing. Awesome service...seriously great. The food...very nice! The salad was great, the wings were really great and it was unlike wings we had before! Can't wait to try them again. The pizza was exactly what we were hoping for...something other than normal pizza...but not so crazy that it didn't seem like pizza. Great crust, great combination of toppings, gourmet yet traditional! Superb. I won't same which pizza...because all their pizzas must be outstanding! Can't wait to go back.

I honestly believe that CSB makes the best beer compared to any other brewery in Nashville. Their Pecker Wrecker (IPA) and Toasted Coconut Porters are my favorite, but all of their beers are great, and I have never been let down. I feel like this place is special because it is hard to find one venue with great beer and great food. Their salads, sandwiches, pizza, and fish n chips are great and always fresh. One of my most favorite places to go and service is always great!

  • Jeremy S.

Cool atmosphere in a busy Franklin shopping megaplex area. Sat upstairs while a cool acoustic singer sang in front of the pizza ovens. Pecker Wrecker IPA is quite delish. Sad we ate elsewhere before hand but will be back to experience more. Lisa was our server and she was an absolute delight. She was helpful, sweet, friendly...and as you can tell recommended a good beer of which I had a few so I looove her

I'm generally a fan of Cool Springs Brewery, although I like a few other local breweries' beer a little more. CSB presents itself up as more of a restaurant setup than several other locals like Turtle Anarchy, Yazoo or Jackalope, but that also gives it a little more broad appeal. The food is mostly sports bar fare, with a pizza- and sandwich-heavy menu. The pizza is good, but I've always ended up spending a little more money here than I felt was merited. They have good wings, and during NFL Sundays you can get them for $0.25 a wing. I'd take it over Buffalo Wild Wings any day. In full disclosure, I'm really into craft beer, and some might consider me a borderline snob. The beer here tends to be good, but only a couple varieties I've tried could be described as great by me. I'm not crazy about their hoppier varieties (the Pecker Wrecker being my least favorite). My general dislike of IPAs, APAs, Pale Ales, and anything with the word "Hop" in its name means the deck is pretty well stacked against them from the outset. I've really enjoyed their seasonal stouts and porters, as well as the Belgian variety when they have it in season. Highlights have been their Cocunut Brown Porter, a small batch Vanilla Stout and their current CircumSaison seasonal. My #1 favorite is their Brussels Muscle Belgian Dark. Cool Springs Brewery is a good go-to choice in Franklin when you're wanting brewpub food and some locally-made beer to accompany it. It would also be a great place to take someone who is usually into Budweiser and Miller to take that first step into craft beers. However, if you're an aficionado looking for more of a non-sports bar/tap room experience, you'll probably be a little turned off by the gazillion TV screens and sports games.

The beer is fantastic. Normally at a brewery there will be one or two standouts, with all the others just... meh... Try the flight. For eight bucks or so you wont regret it, and every single one is special. The food and atmosphere is standard brew pub style, but fine. My buddies loved the fish and chips. Service is excellent.

I can write this review very easily because I was there to sample their beer and get a bite to eat but as soon as we walked in we were confused. There was no one at the host station and so we figured we could just walk to the bar? or seat ourselves? There was no one at the entrance at all. There were a few staff members walking around but no one took notice of us-it was busy but there was plenty of open seating left. After deciding to leave someone walked up to the host station as we opened the door. If I'm not worth being approached as a customer then it's not worth turning around and giving them a chance.

Cool Springs Brewery is a pretty good little brewpub in a stripmall in Cool Springs. They brew their own (pretty good) beer. I had their whiskey stout (not the actual name, but it's close enough). Very chocolaty and malty, it had subtle whiskey and oak flavors. It's not the best whiskey stout I've had, but it is the best one I've had that's made in Nashville. The brewery used to be a pizza place; the owners decided to open a brewery, but kept the Italian influenced menu. It's chock full of pizza, pasta, and Italian-style sandwiches. I had their Italian sub, and while the meat and cheese were excellent, the bread was a dry Italian loaf that was entirely too much bread for the sandwich. I could get a far better sandwich for a better price elsewhere. The Italian lunch buffet seemed to be a good option, probably better than the sandwich. If I go back for lunch I will give it or the pizza a try. I would've given them four stars if the food had been better.

We go there for the beer, not the food. The service is good and the people friendly. It has a buffet for lunch that is good. We don't eat a lot of wheat and most pizza places have lots of options with wheat. We always get a laugh over the one beer called "The Pecker Wrecker". An IPA. We like this place - good atmosphere.

Service great, beer decent, pizza not so much. Was there at 3:40 on a random Friday - I had the Kilt Lifter and Franklin's First, like the first and didn't care for the First but it wasn't bad. Ordered a Venetian, and I think it could have been good, but the cheese it had dolloped on it was kind of undercooked cottage cheesy, the crust was not quite soggy but not done, and overall it just tasted like it could have stood to be cooked a minute or two longer. Service was prompt, attentive, and speedy. The place was nice, but the pizza was a wash and the uniqueness of the beer was not evident. The beer that I had was very safe, I think if you like domestic you'll like it.

  • Allie R.

Came in for their lunch buffet, not worth it at all. Since it was a work day I didn't get a chance to try any of their beers which probably would have helped the experience. I had a salad to start, their ranch was very good had a home made taste to it....and that's where I should have stopped. I had some of their pasta which had a very odd flavor, and was cold. I also had a few pieces of their pizza, the different kinds tasted the same, stiff, cold....everything was cold, nothing was nice and hot and fresh it was all bland and cold. A few of the people I was with ordered the chicken wings, they looked great, everyone that ordered them inhaled them. So even though I didn't have the wings, I guess that's what I would recommend.

Won't be going back. Ignored by wait staff in a sparsely filled restaurant. Let the various employees clustered around the hostess stand know that we were leaving. No response- just a blank stare. I wasn't surprised, though, based on the apathetic 'service' that we received.

    (1)
  • Josh M.

Tried the buffet. Good variety. Not cookie cutter. Pizza crust is tasty. Some fresh herbs on the pizza would be a nice addition to add a little flavor, some things were slightly bland. Will def be back to check out other options besides the buffet. They had some English dishes that I would be keen to try.

We went to CSB when it was still relatively new. I hope it's improved but we're not willing to go back to find out....there are more reliable places to go. We like to go out for a good beer, especially a lager. We looked over the list and didn't see much (or anything if I remember correctly) in a lager on tap. Our waitress showed up so I asked her, "do you have any lagers on tap?" She said, "They are ALL lagers" and proceeded to point out several ales on the menu. She wasn't exactly a MENSA candidate when it came to any of the questions we asked...and she wasn't motivated to find someone who knew the answers either. If you're a brewery...hire help that understands beer, folks. Also....horrible noise flow...it was clangy noisy. We could barely hear the performer and we were sitting within eyesight of him. I don't even remember the food...couldn't have been that good. We won't be back.

Fish and chips are the bomb. Blew me away. Large portion even with the small serving. Pleasantly surprised. Excellent texture and flavor.

I have now visited this establishment twice and have thoroughly enjoyed them both. First the service is top notch and friendly. They are attentive but don't constantly bug you with questions. Both times I got great suggestions on the beer I might want to try and also on food. I like their pizza a lot but their flagship for me is their Fish and Chips. The cod is top quality and you can tell as soon as you bite into it. Cool Springs Brewery will definitely be one of our regular eating places.

They have a great and ever changing beer list. I recommend getting a flight to sample them all. Their buffet is ok, with multiple pizza, pasta and sandwich options and a salad bar. Their fish and chips is excellent. Sunday brunch wasn't too crowded, and only one couple came in with their children (to a brewery, on a sunday, eh?). Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Dishes were never left on our table for very long. They also sell growlers of their beer :)

My boyfriend and I walked in around 6:30 on a Friday night, and got a table in the bar area without a wait! Our server was amazing - she was on top of everything and was taking care of the entire bar area (probably 8 tables or so). I loved the little UK section of the menu! I got the Shepherds Pie, and it was just like what I tasted in Edinburgh! They also have a great pizza section with a lot of variety that my boyfriend loved. There was lots of good "Americana" style food that you'd find on an upper-end bar menu - standard burgers, and more dressed-up burgers, quesadillas, fried chicken, etc. I was also very impressed with all their craft beers! They have a great variety and, in my opinion, anyone could probably find a beer that they'd like! I loved the CircumSaision beer! You can look at their beer menu, and they have it all broken down with how hoppy each beer is, what notes and flavors you'll taste, and how they make it. Our check was $40something including 2 beers, a soda, shepherds pie, and a whole pizza. Go for an easy date night, or take the kids. It's a great place!

  • Nick B.

Pizza was decent but the atmosphere was irritating. If you like wall to wall TV's and loud, loud, loud speakers then this may be your place. For myself I do not enjoy the TV noise so loud you can not hear yourself think ! This is definetly not a place to bring your family. This place could learn a lot from the Smokey Mountain Brewery which has great pizza and a more comfortable atmosphere.

Decent pub food. Can't attest to the beers, but the Orange Dreamsicle martini was really good. They recommend the fish and chips which has won an award, and it did not disappoint--very tasty! My husband got the wings which was also recommended. They make and bottle their own wing sauce and he ended up buying a bottle. I don't really care for it, however, as it has a sweetness to it. We didn't get the pizza, but several tables had ordered it. Although advertised as NY Style, from just looking at it you can tell that it isn't. If you've been to NY and have had the pizza, you know what I mean. It may be ok pizza and I may try it sometime, but just don't expect NY style.

It's in a strip mall. Major strike. But once inside, you can easily forget you're next to a FedEx office and a gajillion other stores. The porter was the best (we even bought a growler) and the IPA was darn good. I could give or take the rest of the beers in the sampler. We had some appetizers and they were fine too. Nice service.

    (3)
  • Bill F.

E only thing I got that I liked was the PeckerWrecker IPA. Everything else was below average. Can't possibly see this place being open much longer. We went for a late night dinner and some beer and there might have only been 2 other people in the whole place.

Came on a Saturday night with a co-worker before heading to the movies. The food was ok. Had wings and a salad. The wings were oddly sweet. But overall they were tasty. The salad was a decent size for a side salad. My friend got the fish and chips and was raving about them. The waitstaff was a little absent but nice enough when she came around. Overall it was just ok. Next time I will have to try the pizza.

Work in the area and eat here often for lunch. Pizza buffet is fantastic, wait staff is always nice and the manager is super friendly. I go eat dinner every now and then just to have some of their craft beers which are good.

I really like their beer, even get the growler. The only thing I have tried there was their BBQ pizza. It is SO good. Has a kick to it. Little pricey for the pizza but well worth it.

Really good micro brewed beers, good NY style pizza, HOT WINGS are what this place will give you. Super friendly accommodating wait staff and bartenders! If you want to get together with friends, watch a game, or go out with your family, this place is great!

I have been there numerous times. They always have some good craft brews on tap and mix it up a good bit. I like the hoppy stuff so they have plenty to offer in this category. Try the pork shanks and a Pecker Wrecker. Yum!! They often have live music as well which adds a nice feel. Check it out!

While shopping in Cool Springs we needed somewhere to eat and remembered how much we love Boscos, but then decided we should try something we haven't had before. I suggested this place because I'd heard they had changed from Guidos and started their own brewery. We opted to do the sampler of beer which consisted of 5 beers in 4-5oz glasses. Not bad. I don't care for Hefeweizens or IPAs, but I will say this was the best Hefeweizen I've ever had and the IPA wasn't terrible. The other three beers were great! There was a pale ale, an amber, and a darker beer. Our waitress said there was a porter and an oatmeal stout they didn't have in season yet, so I'll definitely be going back to try them! We split the "florintine" pizza. It was good, but not the best gormet pizza I've ever had. But as I'll be going back to try the other beers, I wouldn't complain to eat while I was their, either. I recommend this place. We went for lunch, so I'm not sure how crowded it might get at night. Check it out if you happen to be in the area.

We really enjoy Cool Springs Brewery. I am from NJ and this is the closest I have found to NY style pizza since we've been in TN. The crust is thin and it is so light with just the right amount of cheese. I've only had the Chez Classic and the Shrimp Pesto, both in the 16", and I make it a point to visit several times a month, just for pizza. My husband has also had the microbrews and wings and enjoyed them both very much. The staff is always very pleasant and friendly and the owners do their best to accommodate your needs with larger groups, etc. The prices are also excellent. Well done.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
