This is my go-to for Chinese - basic, Americanized, down and dirty Chinese. Don't order here expecting an authentic, culturally enlightening Chinese cuisine experience - you won't get it. Delivery times vary but reasonable. The prices are very very reasonable esp given the portion size. Live the beef w broccoli, mu shoo pork or chicken is great (get extra sauce and pancakes bc it's a huge portion). I have liked the noodle dishes and garlic chicken as well. Curry often has too much cumin, there is a sesame noodle appetizer that appeared to be smothered in Jif, I didn't love the general tso's - over fried. Now that I am thinking about this place, I am going to have to order dinner from here tonight!!

The meat is disappearing from each dish little by little. The skewered meat is 1/2 the size when they opened, dumplings are half to a third the size. They didn't raise prices but had to cut somewhere. Update, It is funny how one bad experience can cause you not want to ever go back to a place. Shrinking portions, frustrating customer service, and order mistakes. When you are in a bad economy you improve to out service and out live your competition.

Generic mass distributed american chinese food. The lady taking orders at the counter was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Not very polite either.

Do not get delivery!!!! I have been ordering from star wok for years and tonight was my last night. My freezing cold food was delivered ann hour and fifteen minutes after the order was placed. This has happened almost every time I order. The food was no good at all and service very slow.

Not sure what happened I've had good food here before. But last night the General Tao chicken was extra crispy and burnt. It was.dark meat and skin fried and soaked in a syrup sweet sauce. Horrible looking and taste. Then I got the Hot and Sour soup and it tasted bland and like old beef bullion soup. Worst Hot and Sour soup I have ever had. Wonder if the owner was around because this night they were hkrrible.

I ordered the Chicken in Garlic Sauce (lunch special with white rice and wonton soup), House Special Lo Mein, Cream Cheese Wontons, & Dumplings in Hot Chili Oil for delivery. The ordered it ahead of time, asked for it delivered at 1pm, and it arrived by 1:20. Not too late, but half of the food was inedible. The Chicken in Garlic Sauce had a great flavor, perfectly-cooked chicken, but the veggies included were bland and marred the dish. I asked for white rice instead of fried, but that might have been a mistake. The white rice was mushy and didn't have a clean taste. The House Special Lo Mein had a good flavor overall, but the meats tasted a bit off. The Cream Cheese Wontons were solid, but were served with sweet & sour sauce, and were better off not dipped. The Dumplings and Wonton Soup were inedible. The dough on each was mushy and bland, and the meat was both flavorless and gritty. The broth of the soup had the aroma of some sort of cleaning chemical and was flat and almost flavorless. I was so hopeful that in the suburbs, there would be a solid Chinese food place that delivered.

Shockingly excellent food. The vegetables are fresh and lots of flavor in the dishes. Delivery service is usually quite fast and the prices are more than fair. My only critique is that there's not much that's healthy on the menu but then again, this is Americanized Chinese food. Either way, it's pretty shocking that this hole in the wall restaurant probably has the best Americanized Chinese food in the Twin Cities.

They serve decent Chinese food. And they make it very quickly. I love fried tofu and vegitables and meifun with vegitables.

I love this place. If you want your typical American-style Chinese take-out, this is the place. Nothing fancy, just good food, cheap. And the delivery time is always less than what they estimate.

don't get the pork wontons unless your into mystery meat... yuck! But if they have the scallion pancakes they are worth a try. egg rolls. meh! boring!

Love this place - always get star wok for Chinese delivery! Cream cheese wontons could use more filling, but price is good so I just order a few more. Delivery is usually fast and food is hot.

Food is decent but the delivery service is horribly slow. Twice I've ordered from them and it has taken an hour to get to my door...and I seriously live 4 miles away.

I've been going to star wok for a few years now. Pretty much your standard American-Chinese take out place. The sesame and general tso's chicken is always crispy unlike a lot of other places and most buffets. The sauce is your normal corn starch based sauce. It's never spicy even if you ask for it that way. And always too damn sweet. The fried rice here is just meh... More of a take out place than a sit down, they do have a few tables but I've never seen anyone eating there except for the owners kids. Overall the food here is ok, but if your cravin Chinese, this place hits the spot.

Having moved within spitting distance of this place I decided to give this hole-in-the-wall a try despite the fact that I have loyally ordered from Jasmine Garden across the street for going on 4 years now. It's a tiny place that seems to do a pretty decent take-out and delivery business and there are a very limited number of tables which were mainly occupied by some of the children of the owners. So, I was happy to see that it was a family run operation. I ordered chicken lo mein and sweet and sour shrimp. I typicaly order those the first time I try any new Chinese restaurant. Both were alright. The chicken lo mein was very light on chicken and even a little skimpy on the vegetables. Service was quick and efficient and friendly enough. Very much a turn and burn operation going on in the kitchen, which was pretty entertaining to watch while I waited for my order. The prices were also decent, but I think I get more bang for my buck across the street and larger portions. But, would be willing to try them again some time.

I have heard from several people how great their food was. I had kung pao chicken the first time yuck! Rice salty and crispy kung pao bland. I am one to give a 2nd chance so had hunan chicken the 2nd time Yuck! We actually ordered it for a office meeting and everyone ordered their own meal. Everyone agreed bad food!

Oh star wok, I'm so sorry I tried your competitor today of all days, Chinese New Year. I love your wontons. I love your crispy orange chicken. Your prompt delivery. Your real chicken, fresh vegetables, and wet white rice. I'm calling you for dinner. I'm so glad I found you. For Chinese delivery, star wok is my favorite so far. Similar establishments disappoint me with the quality of their ingredients. Star wok is a blessing in my life. Cheers!

Star Wok is takeout only, though they do have one table in the front. Always friendly, incredibly quick, including delivery. This is the only place in the area where I order orange chicken. It stays crispy forever!

Finally stopped at this place for takeout after being tempted by their coupons for a while. Hadn't gone before because of how the storefront looks...dreadful. Appearances are deceiving, in this case especially. Not disappointed and very surprised by how good it was. Ordered Hunan chicken, schezuan tofu and roast pork lo mein. All good. The Hunan chicken and schezuan tofu had delicious sauces. Hunan chicken abounded with fresh mushrooms and broccoli. Yum! It is now my favorite chinese restaurant. 5 stars because it is the best chinese I've found in the hopkins minnetonka area.
