Not very good. I give two stars because the servers are nice. In spite of the mediocre reviews we came because beef ribs are on the menu... According to the menu on their web site. When we got here the server said they don't have it any more. Here's your sign. She recommended the pork ribs so I got them. My son got the chic tacos - free on Sunday's. Well even though it's not busy and it is normal dinner time, the server comes back later to say that ribs are sold out. Here's another sign. Why didn't she know that before I ordered? Chicken soup was good but a bit on the salty side. My sons tacos were chicken a little cheese and a soft taco shell. Not a single thing else. Don't tacos usually have lettuce slaw or some other veggies? Mine arrived later. Slices of pork in a not so good BBQ sauce. And a baked potato. Someone in the kitchen must really hate vegetables because there isn't a veg to be seen anywhere. I ate about half of my meal. And had no desire to take leftovers home. Not that she asked... I see no reason to return. There's a reason it's not very busy. Oh and the bathroom is filthy. I wanted to share my thoughts with someone there but nobody ever asked how our meal was.

This Tex Mex restaurant is located in a strip mall in Hopkins. They have the best chicken wings! The chicken wings are HUGE! Leg & wing connected and seasoned in their famous Moppo seasoning. The wings are cooked to perfection. Extra juicy filled with tons of flavor. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Everytime I'm here I pair my meal up with a margarita on the rocks. The margarita is made right each time. Not too sour and not too strong but just right. This was my first time trying something se on the menu besides the Moppo wings. I gave the chimichanga with spicy beef a try. It came with Mexican style rice & a choice of black or refried beans. I went with the refried beans. This place us only getting 3 stars from me because of the wings. The chimichanga wasn't my favorite. It tasted bland and very basic. Their homemade hot sauce had a weird after taste to it. I don't know what it was but this meal didn't taste good. I would recommend this place for their Moppo chicken wings! They have a full bar & happy hour on drinks. & appetizers as well.

We used to go to the Lone Spur several times a week but the service got so bad we found another place to meet. My girlfriend and I met there for happy hour just this week after being away for over a year. I'm sorry to say the service is just as bad! Ten minutes after arriving I had to leave my table and walk up to the bar to get a drink. The staff are all standing around talking. We had empty bottles several times and someone would come by and grab the empties without asking if we wanted another. We asked for a menu and a half hour or more later no one had come back to take an order. At that point we gave up and just left. We will NEVER go back. Horrible, horrible and I do mean horrible service in the bar!!

Service is horrible! Then you try and inform the manager regarding the experience and the manager is rude and defends the bad service. Gosh what happened to nice folks?

We have been dining at Lone Spur for 20+ years (back when it was the Lone Star) and after today's bad experience, this love affair is over. We have been excusing the slow decline for months and the food quality, sloppy presentation and bad service can no longer be overlooked. Like a fading beauty queen, this place has seen its glory days and is on the downside with posters that are sun faded, a layer of dust on the antlers worn out carpet and staff that do not seem to care. Is it food costs that made them decide to sub dry chopped pork with a squeeze of BBQ sauce for the once amazing pulled pork sandwich on the sloppy Texan, or did they run out? Better to 86 it for the night rather than this poor substitution. Several weeks later for another try and it is worse than the previous time. The once amazing queso dip has been reduced to something we are sure started life in a can. The Bola red is off... Maybe left over from Saturday or Friday? The beef in the fajitas is no longer quality beef (guessing a Sysco medium grade), sliced so uniformly that I'm guessing they are no longer preparing it in house. The line of gristle was so unappealing I discretely spit a lot of it out... And what is with that weird textured chicken? It seemed almost spongy! Also, no more BBQ sauce on the tables. It is upon request only and comes straight from the refrigerator so it immediately cools any food you put it on, like the onion loaf that was served room temp, as opposed to hot. Service... Have the quality servers left? Someone new every time and since we were the only ones in our section, we were forgotten by our server and had to go searching for her through the nearly deserted dining room. The upside is I am sure this food will not make me sick, but I don't think that qualifies Lone Spur to receive our patronage any longer.

Great value. Great margaritas. Wings are best I've found in the area. It's really hard to beat compared to some of the other similar options in the Western burbs. The bar is always busy. If I worked around there it'd be an automatic happy hour stop. I think they've been doing it awhile so they've got everything pretty dialed in. Huge menu too!

Tried to go tonight but left before getting seated. Walked in the door and there were three parties waiting to be seated and a man picking up his "to go" order. The host said it would be a five to ten minute wait even though there were at least 8 empty tables. The wait staff seemed flustered as they whisked by. Bottom line is that they seemed "off" and we didn't want to risk the wait. Used to love this place but now it seems each time we go, things go a little downhill each time. Probably won't be going back unless they do some updating and cleaning .

Just left this place and we will NEVER return. Just moved into the area and thought we'd try a local place. That was a mistake. We sat on the patio and did not receive any service for 20 minutes. The service was terrible and not friendly whatsoever. There were about 3 new tables on the patio and no one was being helped. One table got up and left another moved inside and the third table got their own menus. The food was disgusting and sloppy. Least to say this place needs a miracle if they ever stand a chance of staying in business. Don't even waste your time to come here. Wish I would have made dinner at home !!!

Ok,food and drinks are good. However, service was a bummer. Asked for things more than once, still never got it so just gave up. Server was a ridiculous over sharer wouldn't leave us alone w his looooong drawn out personal stories. When we finally got our tab, our server told us he gave our tab to another table (who paid it) and then told us we needed to pay theirs which was slightly more than our actual tab. When we said we wanted to each pay separately he argued that we should split it. There's so many ways he should have handled things and didn't. I'll go back for the food and hope we have a different server.

Excellent chili! They have a nice hot chili, er... Red Bola or something like that.. very good. The tacos were weak, but for the price, you can't expect much. Their sammies were good, large portions. They have decent chicken wings too. Seems to be a lot of locals / regulars there. The bar is on the small side, and I found the booths uncomfortable. Good happy hour prices, good neighborhood type place. Worth a shot.

No more, thanks! Been going here for 20+ years, since it was called Ted Williams (I worked there). It's gotten so bad over the past few years - poor management, awful service, hit or miss food...and if you kindly point out a mistake in your order, servers AND managers seem to be irritated and bothered by you. I keep hoping they'll get their act together, but I'm done waiting! Unpleasant server recently couldn't bother to even say hello when she 1st came to our table, then she messed up our order 3 times and when I mentioned it to the manager, she was irritated and equally unpleasant. Shockingly bad attitudes considering it's the service industry! The server never came back voluntarily - we had to keep asking another server for our check. Food is iffy, bathrooms always smell horrible. Not sure how they stay in business, except that it's a local place.

We sat outside on the patio. Service was bad. Waited a long time for drinks, even longer to order after that. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, I know being a server isn't easy, but it just kept getting worse. Had to ask for a box from 3 times before I got one. Table next to us ended up just going inside to pay after waiting for the check for so long without it coming. My friend's fajita was so bad she couldn't eat it. The rest of our party enjoyed our food though and the fried pickles were really good. But we won't ever return.

  • Barbara P.

Happy hour on the outdoor patio. Their setup has the four bar servers covering the patio in rotation. There was not a specific server for our table but not ten minutes went by that a server wouldn't sweep the area and check on us. Each one knew what we were drinking and was very pleasant and attentive. A HUGE improvement from scenarios where one waits and waits to catch a glimpse of ones individual wait person. Also, dedicated smoking area removed from the rest of the deck. Combine this with what is unquestionably the best smoked meat in the Twin Cities and you can't lose!

Was driving by with a friend and decided to stop. I do love yelp for looking up places in areas that I don't know that well and this place was okay. Food could use more seasoning and herbs to really pop, but it was satisfactory. I found the atmosphere to be a bit too loud.

Really? It's 10pm and you've already turned the chairs upside down on the tables to start cleaning while patrons are still seated at nearby booths dining? And the only place to sit now is the small bar area with no open tables except the one the waitress seems visibly annoyed to be cleaning or outside where it's a bit too cool for comfort unless you're seated by the fireplace, but other people are already there? I checked in on Yelp, but left before I could even review a glass of water. Help me to understand why you don't like customers?

Tex-Mex is Tex-Mex for the most part, but the Lone Spur seems to do a pretty good job trying to make it a little more interesting. Location is great, parking is free and plentiful and they have a pretty sweet outdoor patio during the summer months. The bar is separate from dining, but you can still get food at the bar. Choose your priority when choosing to dine-in or sit int he bar. If you sit in the bar you typically get faster service - and the drinks flow faster. They know their customer and cater differently to the bar vs. dining experience. You must get the guacamole, it isn't really any better than guac at other places, but they give you colored chips, which I love - and lets me honest, its guac, a requirement when eating Tex-Mex. They have an extensive menu and the portions are quite large, very easy to share a meal. I seem to always go back to the same two items, taco burrito and seafood enchiladas (can't remember what they are actually called on the menu). Service can be slow sometimes, depending on the time you go, but they are always very nice and keep your glass filled. They also don't get mad if you take forever to make a decision since the menu is quite vast. Happy hour is pretty great. I used to come here and sit in the bar far too frequently (I lived just behind them). Half priced apps and drink specials daily. They have a nice selection of margaritas, too.

Kids eat free on Sundays! Score. Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and I got the enchiladas. I picked chicken ans cheese. Came with rice and beans. Guac is a buck extra. My mom ordered moppo wings and it came with fries, cole slaw and Texas toast. Kids got typical kids meals. The food was good. Salty, but good. I always end up drinking 3-4 glasses of water whenever we go. Good selection of dishes, nice lunch special prices, even during the weekend.

Don't be put off by the suburban strip mall environs. Lone Spur is awesome and has been awesome for years. Great smoked chicken. Great brisket. Fantastic spicy chili (the bola red).

I go to Lone Spur just about every weekend for their 9-11pm half-price appetizer happy hour. Their appetizers are seriously good, I highly recommend the nachos, Carolina wings, and the crazy portion moppo wings. They also have outstanding bloody Mary's. The bar room gets pretty rowdy on the weekends. Their entrees are decent, but the apps are where it's at. Two appetizers and 3 alcoholic beverages for right around $20. Hard to beat. Oh, and most of the servers are excellent.

Terrible service, had to wait 40 min for food and didn't even get the right order, then had to wait 15 min for the waitress to even come over. Won't be coming here again

I'm a huge fan of going to the place down the street that gets looked over. However, I feel the experience could have been a bit better. I love my cheese, plain and simple, especially queso. Normally, the queso I've had has the consistency of melted cheese, as it should be. The queso here tasted as if it were made from a powdery mix. It took almost 20 minutes after being seated and ordering for our queso and chips to hit the table. Our fajitas for two were pretty good, but our waitress didn't check on us hardly to refill our drinks between our orders. I like how close it is, but the service and food could be improved.

  • Sandy S.

I have been there before and never wrote a review. I have to say each time the burritos have been really good. I had the tex mex and it was delicious! My only complaint is service is on the slower side and they tend to pile up the drinks for the whole restaurant at one time. So if you need a drink or refill it will take a long time. No free chips either but they are good when you get them with a meal!

Had a business trip with two co-workers [Barry and Frank, both of whom I don't like] in Minnetonka, and we couldn't agree on Mexican - I wanted Taco Bell as I had eaten an "adult brownie" as an afternoon snack at the office and was having a rare case of "the munchies" - or BBQ, so this was our compromise. I settled for the carne asada, and wasn't very impressed - overcooked and unseasoned. Tortillas were room temperature and the beans were perhaps the worst I've ever had. Took out my frustrations with a couple of Margaritas [not bad] and told our waitress it was Barry and Frank's anniversary. She arrived with an apple pie with two forks and a candle stuck inside - nice touch! Unfortunately my boss caught wind of this the following week and I was suspended for a week for sexual harassment policy violations [forgot Barry was actually gay]. Service was good so they're getting an extra star. Otherwise, "one and done" for this place!

Steak fajitas are PERFECT. Just love them! Great tortillas, and the food isn't too greasy, like some places. I enjoy the rice and sides that come with the fajitas too. Yum.

The food is great and so is the service. ula is super friendly. My only complaint is with the sauce on the buffalo chicken wrap. 70% of the time the sauce is too much even when specifying less sauce. The menu is large so come hungry!

I am a regular at the Lone Spur, going there weekly with a group of friends. It's one of the few bars/restaurants in the area now that Santorini's has moved. Employees at the Lone Spur make you feel at home right away. It's always clean and the staff are friendly. It's usually busy, but rarely tough to get a table. There's a full menu with sandwiches, Tex-Mex dishes, appetizers, and salads. I highly recommend the Fiesta Sampler to get a feel for their Tex-Mex offerings. Their prices are reasonable, service is excellent, and selection is pretty good. Five stars with zero hesitation.

My father has been coming here for over 30 years. One of the few if only places around the Twin Cities to get beef ribs. Bbq sauce is the best around. Smoky and sweet sauce and is a wonderful compliment to any of the smoked meats. I brought my best friend who is from Texas here for the first time a few years back and he had beef ribs and a smoked turkey leg. He was in Bbq heaven. I come here every year for my birthday and the service has always been great. Variety of food and definitely something for everyone. Sandwiches, salads, Mexican, Bbq, burgers, you name it. Its nice to find a joint that actually charbroils and grills thier chicken breasts. None of the steamed "grilled" chicken breasts here. My personal recommendations, Create your own Bbq experience, any choice of meats, Chicken Fajitas, Spur Melt which is chunks of smoked beef brisket with cheddar cheese and mushrooms on Texas toast. Cornbread is delicious as well. I've always left full and happy here whenever I eat here. Fajitas actually have a decent amount of meat for an order of fajitas, unlike some other places that just load you up on lettuce, and other accouterments and give you a thimble full of meat lol. Fajitas are hot and sizzling and served on a hot smoking platter. Appetizers are enjoyable as well. All in all a personal favorite of mine. Plenty of different of vegetarian options such as my personal favorites which is a delicious Mock Dock sandwich, tastes and has the actual texture of braised beef brisket but I believe this delicious vegetarian option is made of tempeh or a specific bean curd called saitien. It is served on a seasame seed bun with grilled peppers and onions and is absolutely delicious with thier house Bbq sauce. Definitely not another plain veggie burger, but they have those available as well, again something for everyone to enjoy from kids to bbq lovers, Mexican food fanatics and vegetarians and I believe they also have a gluten free menu available.

I'm a big Lone Spur fan. I've done lunch and supper there many times. Today I had the Tilapia Reuben. It was delicious! I also like the ribs, brisket sandwich, moppo wings, fish tacos... I have to give a special call out to the cornbread and chicken noodle soup. The cornbread must weigh about a pound. It is sooo good! The chicken soup is smokey and awesome! I have never not had room to finish the soup. It has the hometown feel, but with consistently good service.

I wound up here based on a recommendation for spicy coyote wings, but I was not impressed with the spiciness. For me they were not any hotter than regular buffalo wings. I would usually still give a good review on wings if they tasted great, but the wings here are just okay. I also got the spur wings, they were supposed to be Caribbean spices with a honey glaze, which sounds great, but they tasted like a bad Teriyaki. They still get three stars because service was friendly and prices are good, but this place is not worth a long trip. Give it a try if you are around the area and want a cheap meal.

I've been coming here since it was originally called the Lone Star Bar. For years it was a go to choice for my wife and I when wanting to dine out. She would often order either the Tilapia dinner or the Suiza Enchiladas. She was always pleased but significantly she had an aversion to spicy food. Frankly, I find most of the traditional Mexican offerings to be bland and uninspiring. However, I stick to what I like and I'm happy. To wit, I've had the BBQ pork Spare Ribs (very good), the Beef Brisket (outstanding), the smoked Prime Rib (great), the Bourbon steak (very good), the Chicken Fajitas (very good) and the XXX Bola Red chili (Tasty and hot!). I also want to give a thumbs up to the House #13 burger. As far as the appetizers, to be honest it's actually pretty standard fare. If you can get them at Happy Hour prices you'll probably feel better. I do really like the Moppo and the Coyote Wings. Overall prices are very reasonable. The service has always been friendly and attentive whether it was just me and my wife, we hads our kids along or we were with others, and no matter if it was busy or a slow night. Just a genuine, upretentious, rock solid Minn-Tex-Mex spot.

Their onion loaf is unique and delicious. The half loaf is plenty for two. Their barbecue sauce is also terrific and a good match for the loaf. I've had dinner here a few times - it's good, but I definitely keep coming back for that loaf. Their menu is big, they have daily drink specials; it is definitely a fun stop!

  • Tom P.

A great local place with above average food. I've tried the brisket, chili, chicken enchiladas and enjoyed them all. The coyote balls were horrible. Great happy hour, with both drink specials and food specials. Food would get the place 3-4 stars , pricing, accessibility, happy hour, and the brisket earn the extra stars!

I'm a native Texan and tried this restaurant several years ago when in Minneapolis. It was a pleasant surprise! Just ate there again. Tex-mex is enchiladas and The Lone Spur's are as good as any on Texas. Great bar and patio too!

  • Z A.

I'm afraid I'm going to disagree with many of the other patrons. To describe in one word: UNINSPIRED! I tried the Quesadillas, and while the chicken filling was fine, there was nothing else worth more than a star. If any others have ever had true Tex Mex outside of MN, they would also rate it poor. The salsa tasted like it came out of a can, so to add a little flavor I ordered the pico de gallo. What a mistake! Nothing but white onions, green onions, and tomatoes, without any chilies. If anyone from outside MN has a desire for true Tex Mex, my advice is to steer clear of this one.

Lone Spur has some great appetizers in the bar. I love their buffalo chix pizza as well as their fried pickles. Also, their beef ribs are delicious. I have not been disappointed in the food as of yet.

We were pretty loyal customers until tonight. Not the greatest Mexican food I've ever had, but we live in the area and were just looking for a chill place for some beers and tacos (and Lone Spur usually does a good job living up to those expectations for us). We ended up walking out due to inattentive service. We were seated and ended up waiting a full 30 minutes without service. No one even stopped by to give us water or to take our drink order. We saw plenty of waitstaff milling about by the bar entrance, one even looked over at our table. But alas, no service for us! But the 4 top sure got 2 servers to help them get their orders in before happy hour ended. I would have liked the opportunity to give this feed back to a staff member or server, but they pretty much avoided eye contact with us. The hostess did make sure to wish us a good night as we left. I guess she didn't notice that she seated us 30 minutes before. No worries, though, Cooper Pub in St Louis Park was more than happy to accommodate our desire for beers and food.

March 9th Sunday noon. Chips, salsa, and guacamole were good/ average. The Taco Burrito was also just average. Maybe I will try this place again and try something else. The service was friendly enough but slow. I think next time I will try the patio area and see if the service is better on the bar side as you can get food either side.

You know they have great happy hour pricing when you get the bill and try to correct the bartender only to find that she was right, it's just that cheap! Really good wings and ribs, good fries and a nice friendly little place. I tried the garlic Parmesan wings and they were great TV's are a little out dated but then again I came for a beer and a bite to eat, not to watch a game. The service was really good, friendly staff and again the drinks were really cheap. I'll admit I've been here before but it was a really long time ago. Glad I came back!

I live incredibly close to the Lone Spur and make an appearance about once a week. The food is soooo good. Especially the carnitas (get the burrito verde, YUM). Happy hour pretty much rocks with cheap drinks and apps. Go on Wednesday nights. It's mystery beer night and it's lots of fun. You tell them if you'd like a domestic ($2) or an import ($3) and they serve it to you in a paper bag. You'd think that they'd give you cheap ones but NOPE, delicious awesome beer for cheap and they pick it for you so you don't even have to think :) I usually sit in the bar and get great service there. Most of the wait staff is smily and very attentive. There is one server that definitely does not want to be there so every time I go I try to steer clear from her area. I'm lucky to have such a great restaurant within walking distance!

Went here for lunch with a coworker, and was pleasantly surprised. A pretty basic tex-mex restaurant, but done well. I had the fish tacos - granted the fish was probably some sort of frozen breaded fillet - but they had seasoned it well and garnished just right. Service was good, our waitress was attentive and friendly.

Tonight I had the Chicken Fajitas for the second time for the 1st time, the empanadas. I'm a fajita fan. They are standard and come on the sizzlin skillit. The guacamole is pretty good. It came with 3 tortillas. I could have used another one. The empanadas were just ok. Nicely fried crust, but questionable tasting meat inside....to me. I've tried all the wings in the past and thought they were average. A couple days per week they have a $5 Long Island Ice tea special, which is not bad. They use a lot of mix, but serve them in a sm carafe, so it's probably around 20oz. I pop in once in awhile. Nothing has ever really stood out as good or bad, so it gets a solid 3 stars. There's a seperate restaurant side and small bar room.

Someone online recommended Lone Spur as a decent Tex-Mex place in the Twin Cities so I decided to pay it a visit over lunch. That teaches me for trusting people online. I grew up in Southern California, so Mexican food has to be really good for me to call it really good. I've also had barbecue at respected spots in the South, as well as local highlights such as Q-fanatic, so that aspect also isn't being held to a "it's just like Famous Dave's!" scale. I tried both Mexican and barbecue items and came out with exactly what the 2-star Yelp ranking says: "Meh, I've experienced better". Just walking in: the host service during the expected lunch rush is a confused mess. It took forever for someone to materialize to seat the various groups who'd started cluttering the front. The booths are tired, some are patched. The decor is cute and sets a kitschy tone--nothing to mark down for. Going to the table service: they were clearly understaffed by design--my server was competent but rushed and let her stress spill into her interactions with me. Other servers were similarly running around. So. how's the food? This is best described as "Minnesota Tex-Mex". The cup of "XXX Bola Red Chili", their hottest chili was medium heat. Not thick, but packed with ingredients. Pleasant. The Queso Fundido comes with flour tortillas and chips. The actual queso itself is bland for queso... they try to dress it up with peppers, bacon and onions, but the plain fact is the cheese is the thing and it's disappointing. The side coleslaw is good: crunchy, a bit tart and not too much mayo. The beef brisket plate was utterly forgettable. Way too dry and the BBQ sauce itself is equally unimpressive. There really aren't a lot of good options in the Twin Cities when it comes to Tex-Mex, but there are still plenty of better Mexican and barbecue joints if you're willing to drive. If you're stuck in this area though, this may be it. I'd give it a pass.

My husband and I are kicking ourselves because it's taken us three years in the area to discover this place. It is downright delicious. Last night was our first time here for dinner and we were in heaven! We started with their queso dip which was a thick stick-to-your-ribs white cheese gooeyness...yum! I had a bowl of their xxx alarm chili that indicated on the menu "very spicy, no refunds" it came with their delicious chips, cornbread, and two tortilla pieces. It was so lovely and do spicy, I was in heaven! Definitely not for the faint of heart, but for a spice girl like me it was perfection! My husband was quietly eating his burrito when I had noticed he was able to dominate 3/4 of the largest burrito I had seen in a long time. I reached over took a bite, my eyes grew big like I had been introduced to an illegal drug. It was absofreakingly amazing. Next time we are in for dinner, we agreed to spilt the beef brisket burrito. Now I am sitting here writing this review during commercials as I hope the patriots will dominate the ravens. Yes we are back less than 24 hours after and are experiencing the bar side is the venue. It is happy hour and everything is incredibly cheap. ...Well it took me nearly two months to post this because it was stuck in drafts. We have been back many more times and still enjoy it as much as we did during our initial discover. Check it out! ...but only if you aren't on a diet! :-)

It's not one of those places you'd gush over, but the food is satisfying and they have a good team on staff. It's worth going when you're in the area and don't want a chain restaurant.

It's all about happy hour, and drinking. Let's put it this way - we are people who do NOT fit in in this place, or a normal BWW or most places where you get wings of one kind or another. There is no amount of social discomfort that cancels out the awesomeness of this HH. Wings are the only ones hot enough for my completely insane partner, so if you dump the whole spice tray on your 5 out of 5 thai food, this is your place. Four stars for not being a chain.

Great happy hour specials during football, and their Brisket sandwich is pretty darn good. This place is just down the road and it's a fun place to hang out, grab some Tex-mex and have a beer. Will keep coming back

Best enchiladas in town. Not the healthiest food, but among my favorite places to eat in Minneapolis and its surrounding suburbs.

Do you want to spend a night in Hopkins having ridiculously cheap drinks in a slightly corny Tex-Mex bar surrounded my men from an adult baseball league? Do you want to eat something called Coyote Balls? You do? Then I would head to the Lone Spur Grill and Bar. I went here last night for happy hour, and was completely shocked at how low the prices were. $2 for a big beer, and .99 cents for an order of salsa with so many chips we needed queso dip (3.99) to finish them. The queso was thick and spicy, and had a pretty good portion, and the salsa was good enough for the fact that you were paying less than a dollar. I would definitely recommend this place if you were going to be in the area, but I wouldn't make a huge trip out of my way or anything

service was terrible on a wednesday night. appetizer were brought an hour after order one at a time. wings were good. bean-queso-beef dip with chips was cold. we were never offered more than one drink. instead of coming back to ask how the appetizers were she came back to ask if we still wanted our food. at that point we were fed up and left. she comp-ed us a basket of chips while gushing about how busy the bar was (tables all around us, got their food just find), sad. i used to love this place.

I like going here with my man for dinner. They have a good variety of dishes. I love getting the Mexican dishes and he leans toward the smoked meat, which has amazing flavor!

Haven't tried most of their menu items and haven't visited the restaurant side in years - but I have to say that this is my new Sunday evening bar favorite. I have always loved their bloody marys (#2 spice level) and they are currently 2.50 on Sundays. And, we tried their moppo wings a few visits ago and are addicted. They are HUGE wings, with a lovely crispy outside spiced with a salty 5-spice/caribbean type of spice blend. So tasty. And, happy hour on Sundays has the apps at half price. The queso is pretty good too. Anyways, we can go there on a Sunday for a couple of rounds of bloody's and 2-3 appetizers for less then $30 with tax and tip, which makes me very happy. Warning - Chili was not so good - the chicken version.

This place is yummy! Nothing TOO fancy, but well put together. Went to this place for a date night with my partner. You can text 'LONESPUR' to 612-868-0199 and get a HALF-PRICE APPETIZER coupon. But this place was great. I had the Tilapia and was it delicious. The portions are pretty good considering that just about everything on the menu was under $15. The ambience was very Tex-Mex and our server was really nice. It took a little while to get the food, but when it came it was worth the wait. The cornbread was HUGE (at least to me) and was really good. Definitely must try at least once.

Been coming here for more than 20 years. Best value around. Good food. I'm usually stuck on the alamo chicken or the chalupas, but ribs, burgers and wings are also pretty good.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant! Went there during a seminar break and had the best refried beans ever! Ordered the cheese enchiladas with beans and rice and a side of chips and salsa. Yum, we'll be back!
