Me and my wife love this place. Next best thing to Mexican town, close to the house. Great prices, everything is tasty, and is clean! You can see/taste the attention to detail here. Very nice staff. Don't be scarred, support local small business. Screw Taco Bell, or Applebees!!!!

This restaurant is literally 100 feet from Taqueria Alameda so you would figure they would at least bring their A game. I had three tacos; Chorizo, Pastor and Asada, and an order of the chips and salsa. There was about 1/3rd of the meat on the tacos that other places use, and it wasn't good. I got them with a side of the smoky hot salsa which was good. The mild salsa with the chips was yuck water, but the chips were fried nice and well salted. I plan on going back and maybe I will find the good thing on the menu that makes this the place to go. Let me know if you find it first.

The chips were hot and had a nice amount of salt, but their salsa wasn't good at all.

Despite some of the reviews about this restaurant I decide to be daring and stop in with the family really quick on a Friday night. When we arrive there was one other table there with two guests, The waitress kind of blankly staring at us when we walked in so I asked her if we could sit anywhere and sat down at a table with my family of 5. We waited about 10 minutes until the only waitress came to our table and asked what we would like to drink. Waited another 10 minutes for three pop a horchata and ice water to be brought to the table. We were all ready to order then to guests walk into the carryout Connor the way to quickly after table and went over and began taking their order. I think they're kind of surprise and puzzled on why she would just walk away from our table without taking our food order. We've been set for another 20 minutes and she did not even come back to the table I had to walk up to the counter and get our bill. I was very disappointed we did not even have a chance to order any food. More than likely won't be going back. Left and headed for dinner at dos hermanos which was equally as terrible :( should of stayed home today ;)

I don't enjoy Taqueria Alameda. With that said, I do enjoy this place. I'd rather go here than there. That's for sure. Not sure what people are expecting with their tacos. When we ordered them, we got a pretty fair amount of meat. They're pretty good and for the price, you get a nice amount. (The pic I hope to upload here soon shows one taco. I believe it is the steak taco. It's only because we ate the other ones that came on our plate. They were pretty good) I ordered the steak fajita, which in my opinion is one of the best meals on their menu. You get rice and beans with it too along with the tortillas to roll everything up in. My husband usually gets the smothered burrito (smoother on their menu), which is huge and pretty delicious too. During our last trip, we ordered refried ice cream and that was awesome. So awesome we ate it all without taking a picture. It was a pretty big serving so we split it. Their chips are good. Their salsa tastes homemade. Don't go through the drive thru, just order inside and wait out in your car or sit in. The food doesn't take that long to make. One of my other friends who live here in town tried the tamales and said they weren't that good but the other food she had ordered was. The quesadillas I tried before lacked flavor, so I won't be ordering those again. But I do love the steak fajita meal. Just go and try them out for yourself to get a good honest opinion. It's not that pricey. The only thing I wish they had was cover for their outdoor benches. We ate outside and it was nice, but it was on a sunny day and it would have been nice to have an umbrella to shade us. But otherwise, I wouldn't have changed it. :)

I was looking forward to this restaurant opening (after waiting for ages), and finally went not too long after it opened. I love the convenience of drive-thru, I love Mexican food and I love that it's on the route of many of my errands. I still don't know what their food is like. After seeing a car in the drive-thru, I pulled up behind it and waited....and waited....and waited. Knowing that it's a small restaurant and only has one window, I wasn't surprised to have a bit of a wait. But after 15" it was getting to be ridiculous. I finally pulled around the car ahead of me and glanced at the driver's seat - only to see that it was empty! Apparently it was being used as a parking spot, I'm guessing, by the owner or employees. Would have been nice if they had put a sign out to let people know, or parked elsewhere. I was so annoyed I changed my lunch plans to a different ethnicity and went to China Star, which always has quick service and good food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
