No. This will not do. We had to try it since they been advertising. Surprisingly I will recommend the chicken pot pie. It was buttery but just a bit salty. I also thought that the roast chicken was tasty Most of the other items were just bad. The steak was either way under cooked or tough. Salads were bland. Much of the fried food had either been sitting around or just plain over done. I won't be going back here.

Gross. My husband found a piece of plastic in the tartar sauce. The manager said it was probably the plastic used to cover it at night, and acted like it was no big deal. He was still hungry, so he got something else... and found HAIR in it. Never again. Never.

"Fire Mountain" is a chain buffet owned by the same company that operates Old Country Buffet, Ryan's, and more. This is a basically good self-serve buffet for American cuisine. I went with my mother over the weekend. To the extent that parents (seniors) love these places because you can get multiple plates of food for one price, it's certainly relatively worth the cost. Attending on a Sunday mid-afternoon, the restaurant was crowded, but not so much that you had to wait to get a table (you seat yourself). The waiter was very attentive, bringing us drink refills (you can also get your own), dinner rolls, and retrieving used plates. There are four main food islands: Two for salad interests, and two for hot food interests. The hot food islands included such foods as fried chicken, beef steak, macaroni & cheese, corn bread, beef/chicken gravy, boiled greens (I couldn't tell if the meat used was bacon or something else), pot roast, baby carrots, boiled corn niblets, pork steaks (a sign identified them as chicken fried steak, but clearly pork upon tasting). Also on the menu were black eyed peas (and white rice), and a selection of Mexican-themed items- taco hamburger meat, tortillas, cheese sauce, Spanish rice, nacho chips, and assorted Southwestern condiments. There were some other food selections, but the reader likely gets the idea. This writer speculates that the weekday lunchtime menu may include such items as hamburgers, pizza and hotdogs. There was an area where you could get sliced turkey or ham (heated under a lamp) by a server (as well as some additional items like barbecue pork ribs and chicken & dumplings.) There was also a sizable desserts island, where such items could be found as cake, pie, cobbler, pudding, and ice cream. The beverage selection includes Coca-Cola products as well as iced tea, coffee, and a slush machine (cola, cherry, and blueberry). A mild warning for people with certain food allergies: I tried an individual-sized chicken pot pie. It was very tasty, but (as I suspected), it is apparently prepared with an egg-wash glaze on the crust. Within 10 minutes, I had a mild reaction. Not enough to make me sick, but enough to make me slightly uncomfortable. That was the one bad part about this excursion. Offhand, I can't say that this place is any more sophisticated than other buffets that I've been to and are still active. It's about par, really. To be clear, the food isn't bad. But this writer is not a buffet connoisseur, so the information here is offered as a general observation, not a definitive statement. I wouldn't want to eat here every day, or even every month. But as a once in a while excursion, it's just fine.

This place is absolutely disgusting! I would recommend that you eat from a landfill rather than eat here. There are a multitude of reasons why you should avoid this place and I am here to list as many as I possibly can. ...here we go: 1. The restaurant is beyond health code nasty. 2. When you walk past the fish, you should not be able to smell it. (Correct? ?!!) 3. Children are always running around this location, while their parents just watch. 4. Some of the adults are just as if not even more nastier than the children are. 5. The variety of food, WHAT variety, there is none. 6. The deserts, if they are not tainted are hard and unsanitary. 7. If you are lucky to find food in this place, it might be blane, full of salt, or full of sugar. I/we are truly in amazment that this place has not been closed by the health inspection department. Overall, if you choose to take the risk and eat here come with low expectations. *side note, Golden Corral would be a 5 star rating compared to this buffet. tripadvisor.com/ShowUser…

First off if I were rating this place on just the food, I'd have given it a lower rating. The reason why I gave it three stars is due to the the service that we received here from the manager on duty and the server cleaning the section where we were seated. We entered the restaurant and couldn't find a place to sit due to two large parties taking up a lot of the seats. The manager was kind enough to allow us to sit in a room which was reserved, but the party ended earlier than expected; so, we had a private room to eat in. The server who was cleaning up the room was extremely friendly and attentive. That made up for the food. Now, the downside of the experience was the food. As I am lactose intolerant, I cannot eat a salad made from iceberg lettuce. When I went to make a salad from the raw spinach, I discovered that there was a pork product which looked like bacon in it. I am also allergic to pork products. I'm sure that someone whose religion forbade eating pork products would also have a problem with this. To me, the pork product should have been put off to the side for the customer to decide for themselves, if they wanted to eat it and not in the salad mix. Luckily, there was a worker who realized that I had a problem due to the pork who was kind enough to get some raw spinach for me to make a salad without the pork in it. Most of the vegetable selections were under seasoned or not even seasoned at all. That means that a vegetarian would have a really bland meal. The variety of food selections was very limited compared to other smorgasbord-all you can eat type places. The upside is that the meat selections were well seasoned. The chicken noodle soup was great. It had a very flavorful broth. It had nice thick noodles. The rolls were hot and flavorful. And they made a nice base for a seafood salad sandwich when split.

Food good, selection good. The buffet was constantly refilled with smaller batches of fresh food. The fried chicken, okra and green beans were my favorite. I sampled the pork ribs and sirloin - tasted great. Everyone loved the dinner rolls - staff was constantly bringing out more from the oven. Same with the mac and cheese. Staff was constantly on the floor filling the buffet, wiping down, sweeping up and checking on customers. I will go back.

This is the best American buffet in the area. No, you wont find duck confit or chicken Oscar, but it is quite tasty. They serve made to order steak cooked just like I like it. I also like they chicken pot-pies. They are served in ramakins and covered in a buttery delicate pastry crust. They also have some juicy and flavorful fried chicken. The salad bar has a wide array of vegetables and toppings. The desert bar has the cutest mini-cheesecakes and pies. I always leave stuffed and satisfied. I cant wait to come back.

This place is really going down hill! Went there to eat waited in line for 30 min. Finally get to the register to pay and there is a sign on it that says no ice cream! WTH! If they would have posted it on the door it would have just saved a half hour of my time! Didn't even offer any discounts for not having it. Was not impressed at all!

My parents are buffet fanatics so I go to a lot of them. I had been to this one a few years prior and it was ok. Not fabu, just ok. I could find things to eat like the yeast rolls with honey butter, an ok salad bar and fresh fried chicken brought out at least twice during every visit. Recently I revisited with the parents. My husband and I were kind of aghast. No longer do you get any type of real service at all. Just do it yourself with drinks and all and hope your table gets cleared before you are buried under plates stacked up, still filled with the now barely edible offerings that you just cannot choke down. Try as you might you will not find much you will actually want to eat. This time I could not rely on my standards. The salad bar pre made salads were just awful, the dressings all really bad bottled too. It was messy, with items dropped where they did not belong and things all cross contaminated. Yikes. When we arrived the chicken was piled up and clearly really old. At some point they did bring out new but it was past the halfway point of our meal and as the whole restaurant had been clearly waiting for fresh it was gone in sixty seconds. Sad. The rolls were the only saving grace. I tried to eat some new things. The roast beef was mushy yet stringy and dry. How they managed that feat I have no earthly idea. The sausage (kielbasa?) was also mushy, frighteningly so. Fried shrimp are freezer bag specials, as small as they come so that it is just like eating mystery fried bits. The steak is some sliced off slab of meat-ish substance, hard to decipher if it was once actually a cow and if so what part of the cow exactly. It is *made to order* - ha- and is shoe leather, do not attempt chewing it or you may dislocate your damn jaw. Veggies were soaked in grease and cooked to within an inch of disintegration. The mashed potatoes were so salty I felt like my mouth was drained of all moisture after eating a bite. Sadly that was the only flavor I really got for the whole experience. Don't even let me get started on the travesty they called a dessert bar. Talk about useless carbs, there was not a single item I tried that was worth the small bite. When you ruin sweets, well there is no help for you. It's also where my husband found the end of his usual tolerance. My husband and I firmly but politely let it be known after a short period of time after dining here that we were not amenable to a return visit. Yikes.

Wow! When we arrived, we had a large group of 20, we called ahead and were told the meal would be $8.25 a person. We were told by the manager that the cost would be a "group cost" of $14 a person!!!! There was a sign on the wall that said adult dinner $11. I mean what kind of group "deal" costs more than the "off the street" price for a reserved party. we had to haggle with the manager in order to bring the price down to $11. The food was sub-par, the mashed potatoes were powder, the green beans were from a can, and the steak was so salty it made me drink even more of the crappy lemonade! The only thing that could salvage this restaurant was my server. He was very attentive to our table, and was easy to talk to, I tipped the gentleman $10.

I have never had high hopes for a buffet, but this was a pleasant experience. Pricing for lunch is $8 (including drink) and $13 for dinner. Food is rotated often and I saw all of the staff wearing gloves as they refilled the food (YES!). Staff is very attentive and the yeast rolls w/honey spread are the best part of the meal. Otherwise you have your traditional salad bar, fruit bar, hot food and a made to order steak grill. The catfish was crispy and really tasty. Of course you have to add your own spices from the spice rake. The pizza is okay and you can find french fries piping out. The dessert stations are a variety of cakes and pie. And don't forget the ice cream. They offer BOGO when you sign up for there email service and coupons on the site offer 2 free kid buffets with each paying adult. If you are looking for a inexpensive, filling dinner then I would try them. Word to the wise: Go to the bathroom before going as there's was not something to write home about. (No need to elaborate)

Watery salad dressing, can't even tell what kind it is.. Seafood salad, and broccoli salad, tasted REALLY off. Mac & cheese used to be awesome, had no flavor. Descriptions above food do not match . It said chicken nuggets above the popcorn shrimp, (can you say shellfish allergy lawsuit). Green beans were pile of mush. Fried chicken ok, bordering on dry. Most other stuff didn't want to try. ( I'll eat most anything).Desserts not appealing, especially with tons of kids grabbing at them with hands. You really have to check out the plates and silverware before you take them. If you MUST go to a buffet, Golden Corral is better, Their salad selections are always fresh and tasty, as is their food. Drive quickly home, you will need to use the restroom soon. Don't bother there No paper, locks don't work or they are at the very top , way high.

I removed my review from a few yrs ago. I gave it 1 star because you can't give it a zero. the staff is nice but the management Sucks at this restaurant. The food has sailed so far down the drain I do not know how they stay open. Oh yes I do it the cheap coupons a $7 dinner all you can eat is wonderful. Save your 7 bucks and go across the street and buy a $5 pizza. Lets start with food poisoning. While we we in the restaurant a child was running to the bathroom throwing up in the dinning room which the staff ignored for a few minutes. I live less then 2 miles from this place by time I got home I was racing to the bathroom blowing like a volcano. My mother barely made it home to her house where she got sick and passed out. I was sick for 2 days. The salad bar is just crap water downed dressings, the fruits are unripened, the desert bar is just dried cakes and cookies and some thin pies. they have Fried chicken which was so dry from sitting under heat lamps or what ever but I can tell you at 1pm it was not fresh. Soupy mac and cheese, dry grilled cheese BLAND Mongolian barb q FYI you cant pick anything but chicken or beef they give you a mix of crap veggies and that is it. Let me say now that I have givien them the bennifit of the doubt this was a second or third chance for them. last time I was there the chicken was raw they took our plates to the kitchen and you could hear the manager and the cook complaining about us complaining while it was clean up time., so they put all the chicken back in the fryer and finnished cooking it. GUESS what they put the chicken we had biten into back on the bar... with the rest of the food. called corprat to camplain the woman acted like she could care less and Did not even ask for my name or anything. she just said she would let the area manager know.

We had a coupon so we thought we'd try it - we arrived at 3:00 pm which is still lunch, there were two large parties in front of us and a couple of couples and a manager came over after about 5 minutes to help move the line, so we waited about 10 minutes to pay for our cups and head in. It was busy - probably 80% full, but I was amazed at how little selection there was - fried chicken (which kept running out), baked chicken, really really salty popcorn shrimp (and I like things salty, but yuk), a lame pasta dish (shrimp scampi not), dry meatloaf, lame ribs (I got the last one), plain spaghetti, cheese pizza, and thats about it, the nacho / enchilada bar was out of tortillas, and the salad on the salad bar was good, but the tomatoes were not and the ham had been cut with the skin on and the fat / gristle in it - when we were leaving it had rolled around to dinner I guess and there was roast beef and ham on a carving station, and the steak grill was open, I saw they also had a fish entree out which was good. I liked the fake mashed potatoes and gravy, and the dessert bar was good, I had pecan pie a la mode and a fresh baked cookie. I'll go to Hibachi Grill around the corner every time over this place for a buffet.

Walked in, paid, found a table, and was greeted pleasantly by staff. Left to go to the bathroom and all pleasantness ended. There was some carpentry improvement work going on, but the bathroom floors were sticky, the stalls were filled with paper and other bathroom 'things', the soap dispensers were scattered and not attached to anything, the caulk from mirrors taken down earlier was still in a pile on the sink. It was clear that no one had been in to clean in quite some time. I went back to the counter where I paid earlier, and the cashier told me that she works just once a week, and it seems that she's the only one that cleans the restroom. I was there with my Mom, who went to the bathroom after I did. Without any comments from me she came back to the table and announced that she would not eat there. On our way out, we walked through the buffet and new that we'd made the right choice. The dessert bar looked ravaged by small children, there were many empty food items, lots of food on the floor and just general mess. We went to get a refund (done pleasantly by the manager and staff. They genuinely wanted to know what the problem was, and when we told them they were apologetic) and the grill master got a phone call while we were waiting. He came to the counter to answer the phone, and while there the grill caught on fire! He watched it calmly flare for a minute or so, then said he had to hang up to put the fire out! I don't live in the area, but if I'm ever near there again I won't be stopping by Fire Mountain!
