A hidden little gem. The real feature is a ton of deli sandwiches and salads. a large and tasty set of vegetarian sandwiches are worth looking at even if your not a veg-head, but all of the sandwiches are worth your attention. Prices are reasonable and there are lots of different boutique sodas to drink, but if your feeling cheep they have decent tasting filtered water, and I find it nice that they have put extra thought into even the details that don't make them money. Just good food is also a small grocery with some local produce when in season and some other specialty goods. JGF also does catering which I cant specifically vouch for, but if its as good as their other offerings, give them a go.

Ha... so funny someone else reviewed this. It is a hidden little gem. Awesome food, generous portions... it's one of the places that actually calls for the good ole Kalamazoo snobbery... (inside joke, sorry!)

Definitely a hidden gem in Kalamazoo! The deli options are great. Their sandwiches are made to order, so expect to wait 5-10 minutes, but they are worth it. They have a huge menu so you can definitely find something you love. Lots of great vegetarian options with unique proteins like tempeh that you won't find at most other places in the area. And the staff is super friendly and prices are reasonable.

This place could be considered one of the most genuine eateries in all of Kalamazoo. It has an abundance of fresh food from soups, to sandwiches & even tends to the vegetarians which is always a great bonus. If your in Kalamazoo & your hungry you should most likely do yourself a favor and go here.

Almost hidden away from the world in the downstairs of rose street market, Just Good Food lives up to their name. A great spot for vegetarians and vegans and you can even take your carnivore friends. There is something delicious for everyone here! My personal favorite things here are the tiny desserts they offer such as macaroons, truffles and lemon bars.

So, we've always really loved Just Good Food for their amazingly fresh ingredients and wide lunch selection. Not only do they have great sandwiches which can be gently customized, but they have locally sourced ingredients chopped up into different salads, soups and sides. I adore that their turkey is real oven roasted turkey, straight from their ovens, which eliminates any chance that Team VP will get sick from hidden preservatives. Just Good Food also has a gluten free option for their sandwich, which makes our life easier. Any sandwich can instantly go GF with a gluten free wrap substitution. HUUZAH! Their beverages need a little work because most of them contain "natural flavors", so we stick with water, but they do have a gluten free cookie!

Everything here looks so good! I want to try it all. I always forget about this little place. It's in the basement of an old building downtown. From the outside, most people might not even know it exists. I often forget about it myself, but am so happy when I remember to stop here while downtown. I stopped in yesterday to grab some food to go. I tried the spicy chicken sandwich (I forget the name). It had large chucks of chicken that were cooked in a hot sauce. It was on homemade bread with lettuce, tomato and mayo. It was super delicious! I also had an Italian Salad (tomatoes, olives, and mozzarella). The chocolate chip cookies are gigantic and sooooo good! There is a large selection of sandwiches here. Most of the breads are made here. About half of the sandwiches were vegetarian. Ingredients are top notch. There is a large deli case with a wide selection of salads, dips and sides. I can't wait to reutrn and try more of the many options this deli has to offer!

Place was outstanding. Wouldn't have known by looking at it. Second I bit into the food I was amazed. Had the Levi's Rueben. Was incredible. Also had some tamales that were delicious. Great staff and great food.

Great food, but you almost are worried that they'll yell "NO SOUP FOR YOU", because they are wound up down there.

Had a half Olinda's Secret. Yummy chicken sandwich with red pepper sauce and mayo on french bread. Great subterranean atmosphere.

One of the best places you may not know about in kalamazoo. Super fresh ingredients and a large selection of deli sandwiches and other items.

This place is absolutely wonderful! I have never had anything I did not like. Fresh from the farm ingredients and outstanding choices of sandwiches, soups, salads and sides! The Suzy Q is my standard, but order a half because they are huge!

Recently just moved back to the area and I was able to finally get back to this awesome deli... I used to go here every other day! Everything I have tried has been amazing! I was always crazy about their tofu burrito (I hope they still make it?), the guacamole (the best, with an extra-spicy kick), the migas, and all the other different kinds of side dishes (just tried the Israeli Cous-Cous... DELICIOUS!)... In my experience, a lot of the food selection changes daily/every few days in the deli case, but their sandwiches are pretty consistent. The tempeh burger is out of this world! I could go on about this place! After being gone for nearly 3 years, I stopped by quickly the other day and some of the staff remembered me! Perfect example of why I love everything about kalamazoo :)

I absolutely love this place. Their food is fresh, creative, and delicious. I know at first it's a bit intimidating because their menu is printed on these cards that sit on top of the deli case and some are hard to read. You may also feel a little rushed as you're trying to decide, but you really can't go wrong because it's all just so good. My two favorites are the Suzy Q and the falafel sandwich. I'd recommend going with with the half sandwich and definitely order a side of pico de gallo, guacamole, or hummus to accompany the chips that come with the sandwich. There are no fountain drinks but the do have a beverage cooler that has all these fun drinks like Clearly Canadian and Izze. My only complaint would be that they do not offer a take out menu so unless you know what you want, it's hard to call ahead and order lunch to-go.

What a great local business! Awesome vegetarian options - the BEST place in Kalamazoo for delicious veggie options, other places like Food Dance & Crow's Nest are over rated

Very good deli sandwiches. Great guacamole, tuna salad and chicken salad. Too many sandwiches to choose from, but it would be an interesting challenge!

I've been there three times and I must say that Just Good Food is honestly ok. I've picked a different sandwich every time (Reuben, Chicken breast, falafel) , and no matter what I pick, its always bland, wilting vegetables, and never properly toasted. Most of the deli items are extremely overpriced for the flavor/taste and like-wise with their sandwich offerings. Ever since my beloved b-witched deli closed, I've been searching for a replacement. Its just not gonna happen. In fact, if you want really good deli salads, sandwiches, and the like, I would strongly suggest going to Water Street Coffee instead.

Mmm, the name says it all. Just Good Foods has a fantastic selection and great service. They also have amazing food! Prices are reasonable, portions are huge and the food is (once again) amazing! Don't leave without trying the Pico De Gallo - probably the best I've ever had. I also love their spinach+mashed potatoes!

I'm glad I was turned on to this place as it is a great little place tucked away in a basement downtown. All of the food I've tried has been wonderful. I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of selections at first but it really is just good food made with just good ingredients.

We had lunch here today, because I went by the reviews on yelp. It was different, and the portions were good, but....... my Ruben had the toughest corned beef that I had ever had. The sandwich over all was tasty, but you couldn't bite through the meat without dragging out a full chunk of corned beef. My wife had a chicken salad pita and she liked it, but it was very difficult to eat, because of all of the juices making the pita come apart in your hand. We most likely would not go back for a second visit.

Tasty, great quality, a bit higher priced, but probably worth it for what you're getting - hand-made delicatessen choices.

This place has the most wonderful deli-style food: sandwiches, soups, salads etc. The only thing that could make it any better would be a cozier ambiance, but since it is in the basement of Rose St. Market, there isn't much that can be done about it. The food really couldn't be better. I am vegetarian, but my partner is not, and we both visited here regularly when we lived in Kalamazoo. They have outstanding veggie and meat options. As a side note, Just Good Food also caters the events at Rose St. Market and they do an incredible job. We had our wedding reception here and were thoroughly impressed. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was, more than two years later!

My fav deli in Kalamazoo. Just minutes from the Radisson. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. I love the tempeh burgers and sandwiches. The Christine is delicious. One of my coworkers raved about their choc chip cookie.
