There didn't seem to be anything outstanding about this place. The prices aren't bad unless you're looking for something small or simple, which seem disproportionately expensive. They charge $6 for ONE egg with toast and hashbrowns, $2.50 for ONE pancake, and $3 for oatmeal. I had the classic Benedict, and it was surprisingly bland. The service was fine until we had to wait to pay our check. There are many better options in Kzoo.

The food was great. I ordered a burger and it had a lot of flavour. Our waitress was fantastic. Very friendly and she never let us see the bottom of our coffee cups.

If you are looking for a traditional breakfast, this is the place. If you are looking for a non traditional breakfast, this is the place as well. My wife had the breakfast hash, minus onions. I had eggs sausage bacon toast and potatoes. Both of our meals were awesome. Try the freezer jams. Your taste buds will thank you forever. Our server Alicia was friendly and polite and very helpful. The atmosphere is small town restaurant, with a university flair. We had a blast. We will be back here, probably tomorrow.

First time ever being here. And I have to say I wish I would have came in a long time ago. Because I love it already. It's currently not that busy so I got my food in very short time: 6.17min (yes I timed it) I had 2 over easy eggs, has browns, bacon, and wheat toast. It I was some of the best breakfast that I've had in a long time. The atmosphere of the place is pretty good. Has a mom pop kinda vibe. Decor appears homemade. Which I personally like. Being that this place is right outside campus. And on my way to campus it appears I will be spending more breakfast/brunches here. The stag is quick and polite by far. Being that it's a small place may be a helpful factor in this, but non the less they are efficient at their jobs. I recommend the place to anybody wanting a place near campus to get some breakfast.

Delicious! While it has simple, American style breakfast, it is made very well. Not overly greasy like some breakfast places. I got the East Egg Hash and it was so yummy! I ate the whole thing even though I intended to save half. The service was also great and very quick. Highly recommend anyone looking for a filling breakfast to come here!

My go-to breakfast restaurant - the food is always good, inexpensive, and I never have to wait in a line. Friendly staff, good service and they always offer to send me off with a coffee to-go, and though I never take it, I appreciate the offer! Artichoke and tomato benedict is my fav, and if you like sweet, make sure to get the assorted donut holes on the side.

This is a nice place for breakfast/brunch. The staff is friendly (especially the weekend host) and the service is consistent and swift. I like this location better than Portage because the food quality has been good every time and they play good music. I'm not a fan of places that have Fox News playing in the morning (Portage is more of a Fox News town). This location has a laid back diner feel without being grimy, gross, or dingy like other diners. Being on campus helps and results in a good diversity of clientele.

I love going out for breakfast, and I love to go to East Egg!! The atmosphere is cheerful and friendly, starting with the cute egg pattern in the floor tiles. The coffee is good, and the servers are pretty quick. The menu is comprehensive, pretty much what you'd expect from a diner (although I wish they had hash browns instead of home fries). The only complaint is all the typos / grammar errors on their menu. I know this seems petty, but really, it looks unprofessional!! Hire someone to give it a look!

Hippie hash is wonderful and their coffee isn't bad either! Close to campus so that's a plus. It is somewhat cramped in there and I haven't always had the best service, bit over all a decent place.

I cannot say how many times east egg has been the best (and most successful) part of my Sunday. The staff is always friendly and there with the next pot of coffee and the hippie hash is the perfect breakfast/brunch option. Add some of their homemade toast, just do it.

Great place to start your morning off with some French toast, bacon, coffee, and eggs! Friendly staff, and is very bright inside. Great place to jump start your day before you head to class! Good prices, and the locations proximity to campus couldn't be better! It's always a good day when you start you day at East Egg!

East Egg is a great spot to grab a quick breakfast and coffee. The service is very friendly and fast - they'll always be ready to refill your cup of delicious Waterstreet joe. The menu contains all the regular breakfast essentials, but be warned - I was quite displeased with my biscuits and gravy. The omelettes are always well done, and every plate that comes with house potatoes will surely be loaded with them, and they're delicious. I only go to East Egg to get breakfast ever since I tried one of their club sandwiches. It was an absolute mess to try and eat, and when I actually managed to get a solid bite in my mouth it wasn't really satisfying. This was the first and last sandwich I purchased from East Egg. East Egg is one of my favorite breakfast spots, and it's located in a convenient location on WMU's campus. I've never had to wait for a table, and the service is cool and casual. Here you can get decent breakfast and great coffee at a normal price, but personally I'm still looking for that breakfast location that REALLY hits the spot. East Egg is great if your just running through and are hungry in the morning, and although they have a lunch menu as large as their breakfast menu, I say stick with the "Egg" at East Egg.

This place is great...friendly staff and fresh homemade food. The corn beef hash is amazing. Great place and I would eat here again and again...

My brother introduced me to this East Egg location this past fall, I hadn't even known that they were opening there! They're tucked into Campus Pointe Mall, in case you have any problems catching the sidewalk signs they have up on W. Michigan. I've never tried breakfast there (although I've heard a lot of great things about those offerings), normally more in the mood for lunch when I get there after a long morning of classes. I've tried a cheeseburger, the East Coast Club, and the grilled ham and cheese; all were great. Definitely take the tater tots over the steak fries; the fries were mediocre, but the tater tots are delicious. They also have made-to-order doughnut holes, one time they were so-so, the other time they were great. Service is always quick and friendly. I've been there several times where they allowed us to stay after closing, not pushy with us at all, once we were still eating, but the other couple of times we were just chatting and catching up.

I love everything Breakfast, so I've been meaning to try this place since they opened. Went for lunch with a friend, and since they are right across from WMU I figured they'd be packed. Most of the tables were full the entire time we were there, and thanks to fast and friendly service, neither of us were late getting back to our offices after lunch. They serve Water Street coffee (way to support another local business!), and our waiter was very attentive in making sure we were happy with our selections and had enough coffee, water, etc. they have an extensive menu of omelets, traditional american breakfasts, hollandaise dishes, burgers and light sandwiches. Lunch for the two of us was less than $15, the food was great and the portions were perfect. I will definitely be going back!
