What a great place to hang out. Sure they have great drinks but what really makes this place awesome is the food! The new mozzarella cheese skewers are the best thing I've ever had. They are deep fried mozzarella cheese balls served on skewer sticks. It's like 1/2 pound of cheese. Add those to the steak bites and you've got a meal! They run great half off appetizer specials, there's karaoke on Tuesday nights, it is just a great place to hang out with friends. If you never been there I highly recommend you check it out.

This is the worst bar I've ever been to in my life. Do not eat here. The food is mediocre at best and the server was awful. After having to ask for my bill THREE times, I was charged an additional $30 because the people who sat at the table after me skipped out on their bill. When I called to dispute it they said there was nothing they could do. Awful awful awful. Who cares about $1 beers when the service is atrocious? Save yourself the pain and skip this place.

Another freakin' bar and grill? NOPE. Don't be fooled by the name, there is no sports bar like this in Kalamazoo anywhere! From the design & decor to the amazingly delicious food, this place is THE sports bar to be at. Omg....GOAL!!! First 32 seconds of the game and USA is up 1! Go World Cup! Ok, back to the review. Friendly staff, quick service and great WMU campus location close to downtown. If you have a REALLY big appetite, BRING IT, AFB Bar & Grill has 2 food challenges! A ridiculously huge burger or a 4 lb wing challenge. Are you man or woman enough to get your name on the "Wall of Fame"? To sum it up, if you love great food, cold drinks and amazing company, this is the sports bar for you!!!

I went with my husband and son to dinner tonight at AFB and was very impressed. Plenty of TVs around to watch any game you could possibly want to watch. They had some excellent specials. I had a 20 oz AFB punch which was not overly sweet and very boozy for $5. My husband and I also ordered a shot each, one Apple Pie and one French Toast. Both come highly recommended, smooth and delicious! My husband and I ordered sandwiches, he ordered an Italian which he loved and I ordered a terrific roast beef sandwich. The staff was courteous, and the manager came over to greet us and thank us for coming. It was a great experience!

My friends and I were underwhelmed with AFB. After all the positive things we had heard from various sources we were excited to try out this spot, but found it to be pretty much what the name implies, Another Freakin' Bar. It wasn't bad. My club sandwich was tasty and the chips served with it appeared to be house made. They have a pretty good selection of beer on tap. One problem, however, was that our server had no idea what that selection was. When asked, she snipped, "It's on the back of the menu." She then had to return to the table three times because they were out of everything I attempted to order off the back of the menu. They were also out of the Redd's apple ale that my friend ordered, but instead of asking her what else she would like, the waitress just brought her back a Cider Boys peach cider and told her "they're like the exact same thing." Um, no, they are not. I do love that cider though, I wish it had been on the back of the menu. I would've ordered it. Beyond our beer troubles, the service was incredibly slow despite the fact that there was hardly anyone in there on a Friday night around dinner time. On the plus side though, the atmosphere is comfortable, they have lovely beer bottle chandeliers, and they have a boatload of TVs for the sports-lovers. If the service gets better, it could be a nice place to stop in.
