Delicious Indian Food. We never even knew this restaurant was here tucked away in Germantown Maryland next to Outback Steakhouse. The owner is very nice and welcomes you warmly into his restaurant. The food his wife is prepared by his wife daily The food taste like genuine home cooking, and I highly recommend that you try this place. The $34 family meal is pleanty of food for 2 people with a nice selection of several items and shouldn't be missed. The owners are accommodating. Since I don't eat lamb he willingly substituted Butter Chicken and I was very appreciative. You must try this place. Food is a little on the spicy side so if you like your food mild please ask for that in advance. Carpet, paint & tables look new, but the restaurant is otherwise no atmosphere. We hope the restaurant will go a little bit further with their decorating in the future. A mural painted on one wall & some color would be nice. -Just a suggestion. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
I am extremely picky about Indian food and Spice Grill is one of the very few restaurants I have felt like going back again and again. Firstly, both Peter and Maria are excellent hosts. Secondly, the food here comes as close to authentic, as you can hope to find in a restaurant. My favorite is the Bengali macher jhol (fish curry). I do not think it is on the menu - you have to ask for it. They also make an awesome salmon do piyaja (a salmon dish with gravy). The prices are surprisingly low for the quantities they serve. I typically tip them more than I tip any other restaurant simply because you get a lot of value for the money.
Good food, good prices, nice people. Only issue I had was the buffet was not kept warm otherwise delicious!

Came here for lunch with my cousin randomly after a run. Oh my goodness. Their sushi was AMAZING. I haven't have such good sushi in such a long time and I'm still dreaming about their sushi as I type this review. My cousin and I decided to try their speciality roll- the crazy roll- which consisted of shrimp tempura, cucumber, tuna, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Sprinkled with a good amount of crunchy panko flakes, and ta-da. The crazy roll is born. The rolls were on the larger side, and they didn't skimp on the shrimp or tuna which I was happy about. It was in my opinion the perfect shrimp tempura roll, especially with the sauces drizzled on top and the extra crunch from the panko flakes. This roll had my umami taste buds singing! One of the servers suggested we also try "The Godfather" roll, which was their lunch special at the time. It was another shrimp tempura roll with cream cheese, eel, tuna, salmon, and topped with caviar. The presentation of the sushi blew me away. It was too pretty to eat. Again, these were bigger rolls and they didn't skimp on the fish. The restaurant had a handful of people dining in and ordering take out, but it was still a pretty quiet and chill atmosphere. The restaurant has a modern vibe to it and is super clean. The staff was helpful and attentive. This restaurant can easily be a place to have sushi with family or friends, or can easily be a date night restaurant. I left the place with fully satisfied and with the intent to come back. With full bellies, my cousin and I were in absolute bliss from sushi heaven. Definitely 100% going to return to try the other sushi rolls when the next sushi craving hits! In my opinion, it's worth the extra drive for me.
We had the amazing roll, crazy roll, imperial dragon roll, California and volcano roll. Everything's tasty and portions are large. Presentation is literally flashy because they had a LED light in a martini glass. The restaurant has a bit of identity crisis because there is Chinese music playing and a Chinese menu. The waitress didn't understand when we asked for donburi.
Fresh sushi great atmosphere. ..but their drink menu is lacking. Only wine and beer and saki. Most places have mixed drinks but overall I love this place

I rarely review Starbucks because I'd be reviewing twice a day until death BUT...I felt this one deserved a shout out. Sitting out here in the middle of what I think is Gaithersburg and Germantown off Frederick, it's in the boonies if you ask me, and you're asking if you're reading this HAHA... but it's worth the hike. It's actually in a nice shopping center with outdoor seating with plugs for all your poser, novel writing, deadline making, or pretend studying needs. :) The joint is spotless, has a good vibe and isn't too busy mid day. The baristas are doll faces (really nice) lol and very perky...FINALLY ppl who sell coffee and make coffee that look like they also drink the Kool aid not just peddle the sh..stuff. :-D The baked goods are fresh tasting and....this is not at all bux specific but every time I'm here, I land a treat reciept which makes me squeak with delight in my cracked out, Pookie like coffee addicted happy place. Lol Can't lose with this Bux so yeah, do it to it. Coveted 5 out of 5 tummy rubs. Nice job.
My favorite Starbucks. As usual a great mocha!! Salted caramel mochas are back fir the season. They are awesome. Waiting for the peppermint mocha this winter. This is the best Starbucks!!
Tucked away in a shopping center away from the majority of vehicle traffic with easy access from multiple directions makes this a great Starbucks. Nice small eating area both inside and outside is convenient. The staff are friendly and if you become a "regular" they routinely know in advance what your order more than likely be. Wait area for your drinks is a little crowded but if people aren't looking at their mobile devices (like I'm doing right now) one can usually have a brief and friendly conversation with others who share in the good taste of Starbucks. The only questionable piece to this Starbucks is the "corporate language" given to customers for a week when they said, "we are sorry we have no bagels as Starbucks has decided to pull its bagels from its sales to 'test' for quality assurance". When asked to decipher what that meant the staff did not have any further information. No explanation to say they do these periodically or to say there was a complaint or anything. Simple translation to me means don't eat their bagels anymore as there was some sort of indescribable problem with them.

I'm not a coffee person unfortunately, but I come here every once in a while for a coffee date with my friend who LOVES it. I always have a nice experience. The baristas are friendly and efficient. They've always gotten my orders right. During my most recent visit, I tried the caramel flan frappuccino and the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. The sandwich came out in great time whereas at other locations, I've actually had to remind the baristas that I'm waiting for one. The frap was delicious and I loved how the cashier recommended it to me since I'm not a huge coffee drinker. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. Both the sandwich and the drink were awesome. My friend got an iced coffee, which she also enjoyed. We'll be back :-)
The employees are top notch, but being inside this Starbucks was like being in an art gallery, and all of the tables were little tiny pedestal art exhibits. Each table has exactly one person, using their computer or phone or whatnot, displaying themselves to everyone else while simultaneously refusing to acknowledge any one else. Like individual little pedestals in a Gallery of Douche. The coffee is good, though, but the plastic aseptic culture in the dining room made me feel uncomfortable for being in there. Maybe if I buy a coffee every day the other customers will begin to accept me and I can consider myself to be part of a Starbuck's tribe. It's not like there's any coffee shops other than Starbucks in town, anyways, so this is my only chance.
I've always had quick and speedy service here with friendly baristas. It's definitely one of my goto spots for a boost. The tables and work areas are clean with ample space for meetings and studying.

Just discovered last week and have a new favorite! The Toasted Marshmallow is terrific! Can't wait to try other flavors!
My boyfriend and I love to go to Menchie's when the froyo craving gets the best of us. They're always super friendly at this location and make small talk with us as we're loading up our cups. The yogurt itself has the best taste compared with the competition. There are a ton of toppings, fresh fruit, and sauces to choose from to make whatever you are in the mood for. The one thing I would stay away from is the chocolate shell sauce. An employee recommended it and I gave it a go and wish I hadn't. It had an odd taste and I basically just had to scoop it all out/try to eat around it. Other than that, this place is aces!
This froyo shop is vibrant and clean with a friendly staff and great tasting everything. The yogurt sample cups are left out on a tray and there is a good variety of delicious flavors to try. The topping station and the yogurt machines as well as all of the tables, both inside and outside the store, are very clean. Make sure you join the rewards program!

Great service & great taste. What else do I need? Specially, the chicken kan poong gi is a must menu that you got to try! Very crispy, yummy sauce and juicy taste! Of course, I like another menus, too but their chicken kan poong gi is the best ever. I know all the Korean style-Chinese restaurants in MD, VA area but their chicken kan poong gi is the best!
Best kept secret in Germantown. I had the hot soup and the pork and red sauce. However this is not for that faint of heart the food is spicy. If you can't handle say a 6 at a thai restaurant this is not for you. But the value is off the chart. If you are feeling adventurous and cam handle spicy food try this place
very good food and a good place to eat after grocery shopping at Lotte. The owner (the lady) is very sweet & remembers faces very well, even what you ordered! I've tried a lot of their food (jajang-myun, jam-bbong, tangsoo-yook, dumplings, kang-ponggi ... ) all delicious!

Ay ok. I've had better sushi at many other hole in the wall spots. It's crowded but the wait wasn't long. There is nothing bad to say about this place but also there isn't anything extraordinary. Just a normal sushi spot.
Best sushi lunch buffet, ever. Worth the price. I feel like something is wrong when I go eat sushi somewhere else because this is the place to be.

&pizza

Reviews:
I see what the hoopla is over &pizza. It's awesome, quick made-to-order thin crust pizza. Fresh toppings! And cost just about $9! It's not the best pizza you'll ever eat, but it's good for fast food. Compared to Blaze Pizza (at Montgomery Mall), &pizza has more interesting toppings and sauces to choose from. They give you a mini clipboard listing all their items. You go through the line and choose whatever toppings you want. Putting together the pizza can be pretty quick, but that also depends on how decisive you and the other folks are in choosing toppings. Then it takes about 2 minutes for it to go through the conveyor belt oven. They have signature pizzas to choose from or you can create your own. I made my own, selecting the traditional dough with the classic tomato sauce, a little bit of spicy tomato sauce, and mozzarella. I topped it off with both types of mushroom blend, broccoli, caramelized onions, and bacon with a drizzle of the red pepper chili oil. Turned out to be a pretty tasty pizza. However, the chili oil was a little too spicy for me! Even though it's unlimited toppings, don't pile on too much or the pizza will become a soggy mess. The pizza itself is big enough to share between two people. They also have salads and dessert pizzas, but I didn't try those. I'm not a fan of their table set up. I don't mind the communal table, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of space.
This place is pretty much like a pizza version of Chipotle! The store has a very nice modern design (mostly black, white, and silver). It can get pretty packed during the evenings and nights! During the day its pretty chill and not too over crowded so I like to come around then. Less of a hassle to wait in line or trying to find seats. Pizzas are all $9.50 but shrimp is an extra few bucks. And if you buy it with a large soda is it $12 total. The employees are nice and pretty young when I came in. One of the guys welcomed me in and gave me the menu, which is a long skinny rectangular paper clipped onto a black clipboard. It lists the sauces, toppings, signature pizzas, etc. You can even create you own, which I like to do. The employee answered my question with great knowledge and I was also given some samples of their signature sodas. My favorite would have to be the mango passionfruit! The great thing is that they have an app program where you can pay through the app to redeem points! I use the app to pay and one time there was a malfunction so the owner came over and gave me the pizza on the house! He was nice too and took care of the problem real easily. I was pretty shocked about it because I was expecting to pay in cash or card. Either way I still come here often whenever I'm craving some awesome pizza! Hopefully this location will get an expansion or open another store in a different shopping center nearby because it gets very crowded and the store is very narrow. Totally recommend this place to pizza lovers!
A bunch of my friends were going to be in the area tonight and planned to eat dinner at Chipotle. I convinced them to come to &pizza instead and it was an awesome experience as expected. This time I ordered everything. The employees didn't skimp on the toppings nor did they just slap the toppings on, no, they genuinely made an effort to carefully layer the toppings before they put it through the conveyor belt oven and they were even discussing how to ensure the ingredients would be evenly cooked. When I paid, the employee asked me if I tried their drinks before. When I said no and I'll get a fountain drink, he was very enthusiastic and advised me to check out several different drinks, and even gave me an additional smaller cup so that I could more easily try different flavors. I was surprised when I discovered the drink flavors were exotic flavors instead of the standard fare and it was delicious. Finally, our group stayed well past their closing time chatting and none of the employees tried to rush us out. The food and customer service is so amazing. It is so rare to experience good customer service and feel they are genuine about it.

Fresh and convenient inside Lotte Germantown. Only for Take out!!!
This spot has become a very reliable go to spot. There is never a wait and the sushi is very solid. I have gotten "The Ocean" several times and have been very pleased with each visit. This is a very good spot and alternative for sushi if you want to try something new.
As has been mentioned in previous posts, this is a stand inside Lotte Market in the Germantown Plaza. I have been going to Wegman's for sushi. On the recommendation of a friend, I gave Rainbow Sushi a try. I can say after 5 or so times there now, I am not disappointed at all. My experience has been very good each time. The sushi is fresh and very reasonably priced. I like it. You pay at the stand - not the market checkout. That's convenient. They accept plastic with a minimum $10 purchase. If you've never been, I recommend giving it a try and hopefully your experience will be as good as mine has been.

I used to love subway and Quiznos, but when I found the way Firehouse steam the meats and make the sandwiches, I have sandwich epifany, meat tender juicy and fresh, bread toasty, a great variety of hot sauces and drinks. And a very good costumer service.
I love the big painting of the fire department putting out a fire on the wall. Plus the decor around the restaurant is very cool! As for the subs - they are amazing! Haven't been disappointed yet. Go for the Sweet & Spicy Meatball Sub. It's my favorite!!
I mostly order delivery, and I went to the store in person once. Every time I've ordered from this location they have always taken good care of me. The first time I ordered delivery my meal was slightly messed up, but they fixed it immediately and came right back out. Food has been good every time. Every employee that's helped me has been very friendly.
