Today was this fancy Las Vegas bred spot 's first day open for business in Westfield Montgomery. I first spotted them when i came for their next door neighbor, Cava, grand opening event this past Monday. Today I came to the mall for the Yelp Elite sneak peek event at the new Microsoft store and remembered that they were open today. Of course being a lobster feign, after looking at the menu, walking away and then looking at the menu for another 10 minutes I finally decided to get the El Diablo lobster roll. The lady that was ringing up the orders helped me reach that decision. It was indeed delicious. For $18 you get a warm 4-5 inch sandwich with 4oz of lobster meat in a spicy rich tomatoe sauce. You also get some kettle cooked chips and a small side of cole slaw. Yes it's a little pricey in comparison to its neighboring mall eateries but hey...It's Lobster! Other items on the menu were more lobster rolls..different sauces, some warm & some chilled, lobster grilled cheese, lobster mac & cheese. I think I may have to make a pit stop here whenever I go to the mall...I want to try everything!!!!

I paid around $21 for a tiny lobster roll, few fries and a tiny coleslaw. OK, lobster is expensive, but I expected larger portion of fries and coleslaw. I think they are over priced.

im just gonna say it.... THIS PLACE WILL MOST LIKELY NOT SURVIVE IN THE MALL. WHY?? because its 'too' pricey for mall food. c'mon about $18 for a little lobster roll?!! one thats not filling and two, if i were gonna pay for lobster roll it wouldnt be at the mall lol. everytime i walk pass this place its always dead... maybe at most one or two people in there ordering but usually dead.

Lobsicle and lobster and chips were really good. Fried and grilled lobsters. A lot of reviews says it is expensive but this is a whole lobster tail. What do you expect from getting a lobster tail. All I have to say is this is really good food

The food was fine, though tainted by a very rude cashier. I actually initially walked away without ordering, but decided not to let ignorance win. I was next in line, and a man was behind me. The female cashier comes from the back and testers to the man and says "may I take your order." I asked if I was invisible, well I must have been because she didn't even look up. Her coworker who had been working with a previous customer looked embarrassed and mouthed, 'I'll take you next.' Not good enough. While I did come back to order, the whole experience was tainted. I'm not sure I will return.

So far, so good. I order the fish and chips and it was so tasty. By it self it is a 5 star meal. The fish was fresh and crispy and the fries were delicious. The price was right compared to the price of the other meals. I wanted to try the lobster roll but the size (hot dog bun) and price ($17)was a turn off. I've never had a lobster roll so im honestly not sure if that was average.

I got a lobster salad for $14 and it probably had one piece of lobster chopped up (6 Jolly Rancher sized), some onions, romaine, celery, cherry tomatoes, and limp arugula. Very small portion, way overpriced, and the lobster didn't even taste that fresh. I know you're thinking, what do you expect from a food court? Well if you're going to have restaurant prices it could at least be satisfying. Oh, I also asked for lemon slices as dressing, and they forgot that as well...so my salad was super dry. I'll stick to real lobster places in the area. They should be ashamed to call themselves Lobster ME.

Awesome lobster rolls. Their lobster mac and cheese is my favorite. The perfect comfort food for any day. If you're going to eat a lobster roll, you can't go wrong with the Maine, add a side of fries and your day is set!

  • Link L.

Great taste on food, generous on lobster, comes with home made chips. Taste like a local restaurant instead of food court. Price higher than the restaurant around but common it is lobster roll!

  • Charles W.

Such a disappointment. Had seen the store in Bethesda and decided to try lobster roll at food court in Montgomery Mall. A small serving and very tasteless at $17.. Nothing near what you find in Maine.

Okay- if you make only one thing, you had better make it really well. Burgers at In-n-Out, burritos at Chipotle. Here they have lobster. Salads, rolls, tacos etc. in the mall at the eatery a $30 bill for a lobster grilled cheese and a lobster salad is too much. Then you go and serve woefully undercooked (yes nearly raw) lobster on the salad. Bringing it back to the manager got me a lecture on the fact that the lobster is in fact cooked and chilled on the salad. Right...my 20+ years in the restaurant biz as chef, manager and everything in between has me acutely aware that subtle difference between cooked and chilled and undercooked and chilled. I get it that overcooked lobster gets rubbery, but really now, you serve one item-lobster. Please make sure your team knows how to properly handle this delicate food product. After all, you are more than double the price of all the other food outlets here at the mall. I hope you make it, but my gut tells me the empty place and 5 staff standing around, wont be around long. Please prove me wrong!

Had the lobster bisque. I was lucky to find one little piece of lobster in the whole "bowl" more like a cup. This was my test to see if a lobster roll would be worth $17. Didn't pass the test. If your a lobster place might want to add lobster to your soup!!!

  • Jordan S.

The wife and I have walked by this place for a long time thinking how good can lobster be made at the mall??? The answer is amazing. I had the lobster and chips and she had their fish and chips. Both made to order and delicious. The lobster and chips is just a lobster tail but it was enough. Very fresh could taste the ocean with every bite. The fish and chips was made with cod and delicious as well. Stop by for a great meal.

  • Peterson H.

Generous amounts of lobster on their rolls. However not many people there due to the price (+$20 for combo), but what did you expect? It's lobster !!!

    (4)
  • Foodrunner F.

Got the lobster bisque and the original lobster roll sandwich. The food was really good. The sandwich was delicious and so was the bisque. The sandwich had a good amount of lobster chunks in it. The sandwich was quite flavorful. The chips that came with the sandwich were also very good. The sandwich was not very big, and relatively expensive. The food taste great but you do not get a lot of food and the sandwich is pretty expensive. We still enjoyed the food and would definitely eat here again.

  • Robert S.

The lobster rolls and soups were good, but the plating and presentations brought it back down to the fastfood catagory. Restaurant price for a fasrfood outlet. Hmmm . . .

  • Ken H.

This delivered exactly what we expected: yummy lobster roll deliciousness. When you order beer, your seating is restricted to this roped off section of the eatery. That's a bit weird. But, they deliver your meal to you, pretty nice touch for a mall eatery.

I had a wonderful experience at the newly opened Lobster Me. I enjoyed their delicious Lobster Roll. The lobster tasted incredibly fresh, and the roll was equally as delicious. Also, the staff members were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I look forward to returning soon!

  • Kristin K.

over priced, horrible bun, miniscule portions of dry lobster and over salted pile of potato chips. Would never go back and almost asked for refund. Forget this place!!!

I have eaten at Lobster Me several times since they opened. I have been impressed with the level of service and the quality of food in this restaurant. I will be back to complete their passport program for the Lobster rolls.

As a frequent traveler to Maine, I'd actually say this is pretty darn close to the real thing! Loved the lobcicle and the lobster tacos were excellent! But, ummm, the prices... This was a pricey new adventure. Visit soon. I don't see this business model working in a mall food court.

    (4)
  • Vale J.

I don't like lobster but the fish tacos were delicious!!! I want to go back to the mall just for that. And the price was comparable to other food court meals

  • Horacio C.

Amazing shrimp tacos! Will definitely comeback! Service was friendly and the clam chowder was delicious

1st ever visit to a Lobster Me. Ordered the Connecticut roll. It was good. Buttered but not drowned. Meat was property steamed. Roll had a couple of complete claws, and the rest was pretty good sized chunks. Fries were crispy. I'll be back to try some other menu items.

We lived in Boston for 4 years. So we know that Lobster Rolls typically come on a toasted buttered Hot Dog roll. Not a sub roll. The picture on the menu board looks like a sub roll, so I understand why people are surprised that it's small. Unfortunately, the lobster meat itself did not taste fresh. Not bad. Not rancid or anything. Just NOT that cold lobster freshness that happens to be required for a lobster roll to be any good. And, the texture was slightly rubbery. Anything less than that chilled lobster freshness is....Why Bother? The cole slaw, on the other hand, was awesome. Sweet and milky. The freshly made fried potato chips were very good, too. So they got a star for that. (Note: visit took place Saturday afternoon 1/31/15).

  • Raj G.

Montgomery Mall, Bethesda MD. I agree with most other reviews that the lobsicle is really tiny. Tasted fine. But it felt as though I paid $11 for a bunch of kettle fried chips and a very small portion of Cole slaw; the lobster tail on the stick was somewhere in that mix. I think it may be less disappointing if you knew in advance what you were gettting. The picture of the lobsicle above the counter makes it look like you are going to get the tail of a decent size lobster. Not so.

I tried so hard to like this place, but I felt like the cashier was very rude to me, the manager kept telling everyone that there was a mall discount yet when I ordered and paid the cashier did not honor the discount, the manager tried to fix the problem yet could not , overall the food was good, but I don't think I would be coming back because of the poor service

    (2)
  • C W.

I have yet to try a sandwich here because I'm too cheap to fork out money when the Dollar menu is calling my name; however, my friend ordered from here and said it was pretty good. The chips that come with the meal are very potato-ey and taste a bit overdone. The french fries are pretty amazing. They are seasoned with the perfect combination of salt and vinegar and crispiness. I would go back just to order that.

  • Ed C.

What can I say about this place other than total awesomeness! I was in the mall and was going to go to Cava, another place I like, when I stumbled upon Lobster ME. I got a traditional Maine style roll and, I am not exaggerating as someone who has spent a lot of time in Maine and New England, it was the BEST lobster roll I've ever had. Great texture and flavor, delicious bun. It's a little pricy for a sandwich, but it's lobster and you are basically getting the equivalent of a whole lobster in a roll. Will definitely be back to this place... if Lobster ME is reading this PLEASE open one in D.C. closer to me!

  • Veda R.

Went to college in Maine and lived in New England for 20+ years; I know lobster rolls. Got the original Maine one. It was delicious --- lots of lobster meat, great NE bun buttered and toasted, and the mayo was very tasty. Not really a Maine one, though. The mayo was inside the bun, under the lobster and then spices were sprinkled on top. That's not the Maine way (meat incorporated with mayo, light seasoning and sometimes chopped celery) but it was still very good. Cole slaw was nice and fries were salt and vinegar. Loved they had apple cider. They should make it hot in the winter. I'll definitely be back. Pricey but good.

Where do I begin? Fried lobster on a stick? Count me in! I heard about this place from my friends who live in Las Vegas and I couldn't wait to try it out. I decided to wait a few weeks because I know how that kinks need to be worked out with a new restaurant opening. I visited Lobster Me on 12/8 and like my friends told me, it was GREAT! I had the batter fried Lobsicle which came with fries that were fresh and seasoned with some type of salt/vinegar mixture along with a side of slaw. The cashier was friendly and offered m several suggestions. For four dollars more I was able to add a cup of soup and a soft drink. Overall, I spent 20 bucks which is a bit much for a food court, however the food was GREAT. I will be back.

LobsterME (Lobster Maine) started in Vegas and looks like their locations are all in fast food courts (I saw their Venetian location in Vegas at Grand Canal Shoppes). It is pricey for fast food but if you compare prices to other lobster roll places (Luke's Lobster, Red Hook truck) it's priced about the same. Their roll shines. So buttery and tasty and delicious. The original Maine lobster roll is my favorite. Let the lobster meat shine through. Connecticut style was just ok imo. The truffle one was my least favorite. Can't taste the lobster with so much going on. Stick with the classic! Note: Don't upgrade and order the fries. Their fries stink compare to the chips that come with the lobster roll! Good place for a lobster roll fix! Now having a crab roll would be a hit :)

    (4)
  • Sofia L.

Pretty solid for being a lobster joint inside a mall food court. The price point is just a *smidge* higher than Luke's Lobster but it does come with more variety, like Lobsicles (lobster on a stick, who would have thought?) or Lobster Grilled Cheese--which I had to jump on. There was surprisingly more lobster meat in both the roll and grilled cheese than expected and both well seasoned. The sides are on the 'meh' side however; the coleslaw is pretty bland and like another Yelper noted about the fries, they're better at McDonald's. It's nothing that would knock your socks off or make me want to make the schlep up from VA to grab another bite but if I'm ever in the area with a hankering for lobster, I'll pop back in.

Lobster ME has pretty good lobster rolls. Their rolls are filled with fresh lobster meat on a toasted, buttery roll. However, it can be a little too buttery. I like their Original Maine Style Lobster Roll and Connecticut Lobster Roll. Their Truffle Lobster Roll, on the other hand, is subpar and quite disappointing. It was topped with too much mayo, carrots, and celery bits, which overpowered the taste of the lobster. Waste of $19. Stick with the normal rolls. Each lobster roll order comes with a side of chips and coleslaw. The house-made chips were alright. Avoid the boring fries. If you want fries, go to McDonalds. Their lobster grilled cheese only had a hint of lobster. Clam chowder was watery. Lobster ME is located inside the food court, next to Cava. It is pricey for the portion size. Definitely not going to fill you up. If I am going to eat at the food court, I would want something cheap and quick. $20 lobster rolls would not be my first choice.

  • Connie K.

I first tried Lobster ME at the Venetian in Vegas and went there 3 days in a row. Imagine my excitement when I found out a location had opened up in MD! The food isn't bad, but compared to the Vegas location it isn't good. For example, the Vegas fries were a deep golden color and were crispy on the outside while still soft in the center. The fries at the Montgomery Mall location are completely different although the 'method' might be the same. They are a completely different texture and are fried to a sad, pale yellow color. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and they use shells which holds up well to the cheese and lobster topping. I'd skip the fries and just go with the chips here.

"Oh my goodness!" Those are the only words I am truly left with. This shop is located in the heart of the Westfield mall's food court. The food court has loads of other competitive restaurants and food stands, but lobster me definitely stands out from the rest. I mean, they do serve seafood and lobster rolls. Yum!!! To help you locate this stand: Lobster me is in the far back which is right next to cava. Thus, it's really hard to miss. Their lobster sliders are perfection. With every single bite, the more you fall in love with lobster me. The lobster chunks are massive and the creamy saucy binding adds the perfect touch of silky constancy. The bread has a sweet hint. The bread they use almost reminds me of Hawaiian bread. There is a sweet undertone in the bread they use. It's those little touches that makes their slider so delicious. The lobster they use are definitely fresh and not artificial. In fact, the lobster meat has no artificial binders. To add, the lobster meat is mixed with light creamy mayo and solely lobster meat. I did not see loads of bread crumbs in this slider filling.

2.5 stars for Lobster Me. Seeing as I wasn't lucky enough to attend the yelp event here and sample the goods, I made it a point to check this place out because l mean, lobster. One word can best sum this place up: overpriced. I think in general, mall eateries are a rip off in terms of portion size. This place isn't different. For $17 you can get a buttered lobster roll that in my experience is a bit dry and lacking in lobster. It was puny. The coleslaw that comes with a meal is basically a joke. A bit flavorless and comes in a rather small paper cup. Don't upgrade to the meal for $3 extra. Though you get fries (not of any real note) and a small fountain drink, they take away the chips that would normally come with the roll. Now yes, that's two potato sides, but for this price, I'd like to think I'm not getting slighted. I feel jipped and am still hungry. For $21 or so, it's not worth it. Go next door to Cava and load up on legumes, buy a lobster at the local fishmonger and make one at home, or next time you're in Boston, head to James Hook Lobster Co in the financial district and get a legit, overstuffed, and amazing lobster roll done right! Bah!

  • Amber L.

BEST LOBSTER ROLL I'VE EVER HAD! The perfect trifecta of good! Warm tender and juicy lobster tossed in butter, piled high on lightly buttered roll! A generous portion of lobster with homemade chips and coleslaw. I was completely taken for a ride to happy place the moment I sank my teeth into the warm unctuous goodness they call "The Connecticut..." Ended up so full and satisfied with the biggest smile on my face while I devoured every drop. How could something so simple be so good? Worth every penny. ($17) Worth every penny! Order the Connecticut roll, you will LOVE it. Thank me later!

    (5)
  • Alicia R.

This place was pretty good. I would give it five stars but my lobster slider wasn't amazing. I had a combo which came with a lobster slider, a cup of soup, and a drink for $9. I got the clam chowder, per the manager's recommendation and it was DELICIOUS! Creamy and hot, with big chunks of potato and clam. So good. The lobster slider would've been awesome had it not been for the big chunks of very, very potent red onion. Seriously, had it not been for the onion, it would've been perfect.

I'd definitely come back here. I tried the lobster roll as part of the Yelp Elite Westfield Mall Taste event. It's pretty delicious, and I'll tell you, although the lobster salad is really good (fresh, chunks of lobster), I think it's the bun that really makes it. It comes on one of those soft, buttery, fluffy buns that looks like the whole thing isn't going to fit in your mouth, but it totally will. Rolls are 2 for $12. They're small and it seems a little pricey to me, but it IS lobster and it DID taste really fresh. You know what else? The manager was super nice. Great to talk to. Didn't even really seem to understand what Yelp is and was just excited to have folks try out his new restaurant.

  • Maria W.

Rip off on the lobster slider. Smallest j have ever seen for 12 bucks then upgrade to fries cost 3 bucks. The picture looks huge what's up with that

  • Ataya P.

Ah!! I love lobsta! (Hey, I'm from NY, that's how we say it!) I came here for the Elite tasting event. Geez! Not disappointed here at all! We tasted 3 different lobster rolls paired with 3 different beers. I'm not a beer fan... but I absolutely fell in love with the Original Maine Lobster Roll!! I never would've thought I'd enjoy cold lobster... at a food court in the mall... served fast food style. But Lobster Me has damn near reached lobster perfection, minus the fast food feeling. Unfortunately, the kitchen closed before I could order one to go, so I will definitely have to go back for that roll again. Hm, lunch tomorrow?

I was sooo excited to see that they had a Lobster Me at Montgomery Mall. I was just in Vegas in June 2014 and loved the location at the Miracle Mile Shops. I was a tad disappointed at this location, not sure if the Vegas aura affected my thoughts on the Lobster Me there or what, but the one at Montgomery Mall doesn't hold a candle to that one. The BFF and I got the Connecticut combo. The fries were delicious, but we weren't there for fries. The lobster roll was ok. I remember it being bigger in Vegas and definitely more buttery! This wasn't very buttery and the lobster was chopped up in pieces versus chunks of lobster. Also, they need to have a larger size of sodas! They also need to check portions. We ordered our sandwiches at the same time and my sandwich definitely had more lobster meat than the BFF's! Perhaps the crew here should check out the Lobster Me in Vegas and get some pointers?

It's not Coastal Flat's or Nantucket Reef caliber, but it's pretty good for a fast food joint. Yes, the prices are about the same as in Coastal Flats or Nantucket Reef, but the last time I checked lobster in general is expensive. And they get their lobster flown in from Maine daily (according to the cashier). The Maine style lobster roll was good. The roll was nice and buttery while the lobster meat was decent. It comes with chips and a small coleslaw so you can skip the fries. My daughter liked the kids hot dog and it came with a lot of fries for $5.

I was lured here by the idea of lobster on a stick. A lobsicle. How awesome is that? Being it is the first day this spot in the Montgomery Mall food court was open, I had to try it out. For science. As you would expect there was some opening day snafus. Long lines, long wait times, but I thought it would be worth it for that lobsta tail on a stick. The menu made it look SO huge!! How could I possibly eat such a big lobster tail on a stick like a lady? I was worried until I approached the counter and one of them came out. Look I'm a food size queen and that thing was tiny. Like put it back in the ocean so it can finish preschool with Nemo and friends tiny. I think the cashier saw my face fall as I watched that lobsicle be served and promptly offered me a mall employee discount (sometimes women just get each other that way). With the lobsicle they offer two options: grilled or fried. My now best friend whispered that I should get it grilled and I did. After a ten minute wait, I got my lobsicle, which was just as small as the other one I saw, and since I got a combo I got salt and vinegar fries (but that was also pretty sparse too). So does size matter? Well kinda sorta. Let me tell you, grilled lobster was the way to go, so flavorful (perfect smokiness) compared to the original lobster roll, but I couldn't get over that it cost $14, when comparable lobster rolls out there from food trucks and Lukes Lobster offer more for less dollar. The fries, all five of them, were actually fantastic. Crispy and vinegary. Just right. My butter was a solid so I did not have a chance to dip my tail. All in all, it was an ok spot, glad I tried it once, but for lobster rolls I would pick other options.

  • Tianna S.

Okay for a mall eatery, but if you're going to spend that kind of money, there are much better places to get a lobster roll. I did not like the lobster bisque, but the clam chowder was pretty good. The blueberry lemonade was the best part of my meal.

    (2)
  • Jamie B.

Wow! I did NOT expect the lobster slider I got as a part of the Elite Event during Westfield Taste 2015 to be so darn good! The lobster chunks were big, and I got a piece of shell - to me, that's usually a GOOD sign with crustaceans at restaurants! The slider was tiny, but truly the perfect sized bite for wandering the mall, or for your third stop on an incredibly filling food journey (HA). I didn't try anything else, but the lobster roll was a nice treat, and pretty impressive for a food court restaurant!

  • Eunice K.

I don't know how I feel about lobster rolls but they did not give us enough fries. The bread that the lobster roll came on was good. Reminded me and my sisters of a grilled cheese sandwich. The lobster tasted okay. The portions were small and I get that lobster is expensive but when I am getting fries I expect more than what I received I saw someone pay $7 for the chowder fries and it was so small. It better be some really good fries cus it was so small. I ordered the clam chowder bowl for here and it came in a bread bowl but the clam chowder was not that good. I was not impressed. I'm glad I tried the food when they were giving a 20% discount cus the food was mediocre. Service was excellent! Staff were all super friendly and welcoming and more than willing to help. Food is just not on par with the service :( Located inside of Montgomery Mall inside the food court near Cava Mezze Grill Food court in the mall is so nice now!

I don't remember the last time I had lobster so I can't tell if Lobster Me was overpriced or not. But my meal was $30 for a tiny sandwich and lobster mac and cheese. The sandwich comes with a small thing of slaw and chips. The sand which itself wasn't awesome. It looks like it's loaded with lobster meat but it isn't. I didn't take a much of the lobster meat with all the other stuff they add into it. The chips are very oily and crunchy. The slaw had no flavor to it. The Mac and cheese was like a watery version of boxed Velveeta Mac and cheese topped with pieces of lobster. I think it was a good one time try to give this place a shot. I wouldn't try it again. I didn't get any lobster satisfaction and I was still starving afterwards.

Lobster ME is a great addition to the food court in Montgomery Mall. I've come to love lobster rolls over the past few years and this one did not disappoint! I got the Original Maine Style roll with the coleslaw and salt & vinegar fries as well as the fresh squeezed lemonade. The staff members were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was great and the service was great!! I will definitely be going back very soon!!

When the absurd comment "lobster on a stick" gets thrown around, anyone who enjoys lobster would be intrigued. As part of the fastaurants inside the newly renovated food court, this place sits between Cava Grill and Chipotle. Our lunch order consisted of a Connecticut-style lobsta roll with fries and a Maine-style lobsta roll with clam chowder. The quality of it all was there and on point (i.e., nice chunks of well-marinated lobster, buttery warm bread, hot n crispy crunchy fries, etc.). The only complaint is that for a lunch for 2 ($43) and for the (small) portions we received, it was def overpriced. 3.75 stars. Yes, Lobster ME, you were ok in my book, you're no Boston lobsta, but ok, but please give me more lobsta since you're charging me an arm and a leg!

  • Justine K.

I agree with other folks' reviews. It's a bit expensive but the food is good. I had the truffle roll which came with a side of homemade chips and coleslaw. The lobster chunks were a decent portion and the roll itself was delicious too. Oh, and the chips were quite tasty too. I thoroughly enjoyed the shell pasta Mac n cheese. It was a generous portion for a kids meal. I might have given 5 stars if it were not for the prices and it took a lot longer then expected for the food to come out.

Really? If the reviews are coming from an opening party that this place held and you got the food for free, I could understand the "rave reviews". This is hardly a lobster roll that you would get at a roadside place in Maine or anywhere else in New England. I found the Lobster on a salad to be some iceberg lettuce a cucumber slice and a tomato wedge. HARDLY ENOUGH LOBSTER ON HERE TO CALL IT LOBSTER. We also had a lobster roll that was sad. I am telling you this is not what you want if you are craving the taste of Maine in any way. If you want a mayo bowl and some cold fries, then belly up to the food court lobster bar. Disappointing and expensive and a true waste of time. The review from a Yelp event are hardly a true test of the business. Trust me, any kid can pretend they are good if Santa is looking...opening of a new place or a food event, Santa is looking.

My fiance and I were in the mall to make a quick return, and were lured by the short line and lobster everything. Based on the prices, I decided to go elsewhere but my fiance went ahead and ordered the Connecticut style lobster roll which came out to around $20. The menu looked appealing as they had some unique options for sandwich styles as well as a lobster on a stick. Sounds great, but again... wasn't worth the price for me. When we got the meal, I was really surprised to see how small the roll was. Especially compared to the other lobster roll spots in the area. It came with hand cut chips and a condiment size of coleslaw. The lobster was good. Not the best ever though. The chips was alright - way over fried. The portion was just really outrageous for the price we paid. My fiance thought it was good, but not enough to return. Because an hour later, she was was hungry again. It's a great concept especially because you rarely have access to lobster rolls in a mall. The menu was appealing and had a good amount of selections. The service was good. But we won't be coming back.

Not at all worth the money. The lobster roll and fries way over priced petite roll actually looks more like a Prawn than a actual lobster tail. Super dry and no lobster stuffing like other places. This place won't last. The price and portion are not worth the time with so many other chooses in the mall. Concept is nice but no value for the amount of food. Red lobster is a better deal and you get table service. Sorry tried it hate it! Never again! Look at pics that should sum it up!

It's alright, I'm not a huge lobster fan so the smell was a bit much for me to take in. For 2 orders of lobster sliders, a water and a hi-c fruit punch, the order came out to a whopping $27 something meal. This would be Okay if sizing ratio matched the price... however, you know those little Hawaiian rolls? The ones you can place in between your pointer and thumb? Yup, That's how big these sliders were... tiny, the a lobster type coleslaw mix, and about one piece of lettuce. The smell itself was eh, biting into it was better. The taste is mediocre, you can tell it's made from frozen lobster, the handmade potato chip/fries are alright.. not sure the specific seasoning they were going for (looks almost like a sugar coating like five guys.. but the taste.. no idea.. haha). Will I go back? Probably not. Left a pungent taste in my mouth even the strongest of mint gums couldn't get out. Besides the smell, my main complaint and deciding factor is the portion to price ratio. Your not dining at a fine restaurant, just moco mall's eatery, so 27 for 2 at a tiny portion... is a bit much.

Nice surprise to find lobster at the mall. Prices are about what one would expect to pay in Bethesda. I decided on the lobsticle, which is one pace of lobster grilled and buttered and stuck on a steak. It came with freshly made potato chips still wit the skins on them. all for $100. Personally, I think you get a lot of chips, but the lobster was three bites. I would like more lobster for the $$$. The three bits I did get were great, and the buttery lobster was sweet and awesome though a little under cooked. I may try a roll next time At $17 a roll, I hope there's more lobster than in the lobsticle, otherwise, I'll be getting my rolls from now on exclusively at Red Hook and Panera.

Be still my beating heart!! Lobster rolls in the MALL?!? How could this be?! Yes to both of those and also shrimp rolls...something called clam chowder fries (maybe next time), lobster salad, shrimp tacos, sliders, grilled cheese, chowder and a lobstersicle (I didn't find out what exactly that was either). Point is, the menu is adventurous and tasty looking. For the food I chose the original Maine lobster roll and it was DELICIOUS. Lots of lobster meat for the price ($17 - but who cares?! I've paid $18 at the lobster food truck that's all over DC and up to $25 or market price at a restaurant so no surprise on the price). Bottom line, lobster rolls are expensive, if you want it to be less expensive then make it yourself (which I often do LOL). The meat was perfectly cooked...not dry at all and not a lot of mayo. The chips on the side tasted homemade too. The bun was toasted and buttered and you get a little side of coleslaw with your order. Now for the service...the place has a very lively happening atmosphere. The young man who helped me was very polite and courteous (he even asked me to make sure and rate the place on yelp LOL) everything looked clean and presentable and it was actually crowded when I was there on a Friday at nearly 3pm so that's a good sign!) All in all, great place I'll be back!

Lobster Me was calling me in my sleep. I really wanted a good lobster roll for lunch. So I came up to Montgomery Mall, they are located in the food court near chipotle. No waiting in line, I look at the menu and again their is a sticker shock. I couldn't decide so I go for a shrimp and lobster slider. It comes with cole slaw and a enormous amount of homemade potato chips that weren't that good. I took my lunch to go and when I got home, the sliders were so small. I look inside just to make sure the lobster was real meat and it was, both sliders were amazing, it was mixed perfectly in whatever stuff it had. The rolls were good too. It taste like Hawaiian rolls. Unfortunately, the sliders are so small, I recall only taking 4 bites in total for both sliders. The service was good but it does seem to be overpriced for what you actually get.

oops -- second try here for a review. In the time my first review disappeared and now here re-posting I have dropped from 3 stars to 2. It's delicious but way overpriced -- I could have eaten 2 lobster rolls -- i got the yummy Beltway version with Bay seasoning - and not been full. Too many potato chips and not enough lobster! For $18 I could have had a big plate of food at Cheesecake Factory. glad I went and it was good, but for the money -- not again. And it was Friday night and I was the only customer ordering from this place. How about changing the pricing? Give me 2 lobster rolls and no sides for $20 and I'll come back.

I had a great experience at Lobster ME. The Connecticut lobster roll was divine. That with a side of cajun mayo was perfection. However the price is steep for the amount you are getting. The lobster roll left me wanting more. Two rolls for the price would be ideal. I found my portion of fries was large. Maybe management has rectified this issue. I do look forward to going back but i had to knock down 1 star for price/portion of the food.

Meh...just about what you'd expect from food court lobster...even though it was the new food court at Montgomery Mall. The food court here has really gone upscale since the last time I was here. It is just beautiful. I saw the Lobster Me and I couldn't resist. I got the Connecticut style lobster roll combo...$21! The lobster roll looked promising, served on a toasted split-top bun. The lobster looked to be overflowing the bun with a huge claw staring up at me. Unfortunately, they did not bother opening the roll up all the way...it was still shut together more than halfway up. The one claw was the only large piece of note. Overall, about half the lobster I got in Luke's lobster roll last week. The lobster itself was lukewarm and a little tough...the roll stale and nondescript. The accompanying clam chowder was nice and hot with decent flavor, but laced with the toughest little nuggets of rubber (I assume they were the clams) that I ever had. The lobster roll did come with an abundance of (homemade?) chips...they were pretty darn good. A small dollop of cole slaw also came with the lunch. Overall, not awful, but $21? Come on.

My favorite lobster rolls were Original Maine Style, Connecticut, and Truffle Lobster Rolls. I liked how their lobster rolls were fully loaded with fresh lobster and served on a buttery toasted, sweet potato bread like hot dog bun. Also, each lobster roll came with crispy, homemade chips. The Original Maine Style Lobster Roll consisted of chilled lobster salad with a hint of mayo and old bay seasoning. The Connecticut Lobster Roll consisted of chilled fresh lobster pieces tossed in melted butter. The Truffle Lobster Roll consisted of chilled fresh lobster pieces, celery, carrots, and red onions tossed in a truffle aioli. It was probably the tastiest lobster roll I've ever had. I wasn't a big fan of The Cajun Style Lobster Roll - I felt like Cajun mayo, chili oil, and spices were overpowering. The Lobster Mac & Cheese consisted of pasta shells covered in a cheese sauce, garnished with breadcrumbs, and finished with lobster. It wasn't anything special when compared to the lobster rolls. It might taste better if the lobster was mixed into the mac & cheese or if they incorporated a lobster cream sauce into the cheese sauce.

Not worth the $$$ I had the lobsicle. I think it cost $15. Very friendly staff. The Lobsicle looked huge on the pictures and thats what all the hypes about at this place so I decided to give it a go. When my name was finally called after 10 minutes The lobsicle was extremely small. Maybe the size of a large shrimp? Yeah not worth the price and it wasn't even filling. You can get more lobster for the price elsewhere.

Had the Lobster Mac&Cheese. The mac&cheese part was ok but the lobster tasted horrible. It was gray and the texture was really weird. And since the lobster was the only part of the dish that justified it being $12, the whole thing was pretty disappointing. My co-workers had advised against going here, but I wanted to see for myself. Turns out they were right.

The Westfield Montgomery LobsterMe is the worst food establishment I have ever visited. The employees lack service and display attributes of incompetency. When I went to purchase a lobster roll, an Indian employee was extremely rude from the onset. She executed no customer service and mistreated me when I asked for a free, guaranteed refill. I have observed other customers ask for multiple refills with no hassle, so I could not process the unfairness I was enduring. This highly frustrated me and developed my skepticism with the overall service. The employee then began to challenge and argue with my request, which prompted the manager's assistance. Deon was the manager on duty, and he actually made matters worse with his inability to resolve the issue. He even yelled and conveyed anger. The rude employee continued to argue, and he could in no way shape or form defuse the matter. From this point, I was beyond appalled at the radical unprofessionalism exhibited from both Deon (the manager) and the employee. Another manager also attempted to reverse the conflict but failed miserably. With all this being said, management is ineffectually inadequate of operating the chain, and that speaks volume. I ended up returning my entire meal because I wanted no parts. Prior to this unfortunate encounter, I was a loyal customer, but I will never revisit. The food is also really heavy on my chest and stomach, due to the excessive oils, so I am actually happy to know that I am eliminating my contribution to the corporation. This place is surely not worth the costly amounts of money because it comes with unpleasant service and overly processed food. I had never experienced such humiliating unprofessionalism until I visited LobsterMe. I will no longer support this poor excuse of a restaurant, and the awfully conducted service of management certainly played a vital role.

I've tried their original Maine lobster roll, and I can't say that I was impressed. I didn't think the lobster meat tasted that good because it had the consistency of shrimp, possibly because the meat was chilled for too long.... The roll is a bit expensive too, but lobster rolls are never cheap. I'm giving this place more than one star because their fries in all fairness were pretty awesome... Otherwise, I would have given this place one star because the lobster roll didn't give me much bang for my 17 bucks.....

They put an adequate amount of lobster in the rolls, but the banh mi tastes nothing like a banh mi. It was very bland and lacked any Vietnamese flavor.

Bah!

This place was pretty good. I would give it five stars but my lobster slider wasn't amazing. I had a combo which came with a lobster slider, a cup of soup, and a drink for $9. I got the clam chowder, per the manager's recommendation and it was DELICIOUS! Creamy and hot, with big chunks of potato and clam. So good. The lobster slider would've been awesome had it not been for the big chunks of very, very potent red onion. Seriously, had it not been for the onion, it would've been perfect.

Okay for a mall eatery, but if you're going to spend that kind of money, there are much better places to get a lobster roll. I did not like the lobster bisque, but the clam chowder was pretty good. The blueberry lemonade was the best part of my meal.

Awesome lobster rolls. Their lobster mac and cheese is my favorite. The perfect comfort food for any day. If you're going to eat a lobster roll, you can't go wrong with the Maine, add a side of fries and your day is set!

Great taste on food, generous on lobster, comes with home made chips. Taste like a local restaurant instead of food court. Price higher than the restaurant around but common it is lobster roll!

Generous amounts of lobster on their rolls. However not many people there due to the price (+$20 for combo), but what did you expect? It's lobster !!!

We still enjoyed the food and would definitely eat here again.

im just gonna say it....

The lobster rolls and soups were good, but the plating and presentations brought it back down to the fastfood catagory. Restaurant price for a fasrfood outlet. Hmmm . . .

This delivered exactly what we expected: yummy lobster roll deliciousness. When you order beer, your seating is restricted to this roped off section of the eatery. That's a bit weird. But, they deliver your meal to you, pretty nice touch for a mall eatery.

As a frequent traveler to Maine, I'd actually say this is pretty darn close to the real thing! Loved the lobcicle and the lobster tacos were excellent! But, ummm, the prices... This was a pricey new adventure. Visit soon. I don't see this business model working in a mall food court.

over priced, horrible bun, miniscule portions of dry lobster and over salted pile of potato chips. Would never go back and almost asked for refund. Forget this place!!!

They put an adequate amount of lobster in the rolls, but the banh mi tastes nothing like a banh mi. It was very bland and lacked any Vietnamese flavor.
