Bethesda Deli is a cute little place that offers great bagels, breakfast sandwiches, regular sandwiches and wraps. They have plenty of veggie options and a great veggie humus wrap. All ingredients taste fresh and they also offer good coffee and smoothies. They have a wide variety of bagels also. The service is good but sometimes it does get a little backed up during the morning rush. There are only a few tables so be prepared if you come with a group. When I use to work in Bethesda I would go here everyday. Highly recommended.

The Bethesda Deli is a great little sandwich and soup shop. I eat here nearly everyday! The sandwiches are made with really fresh bread and the deli meats are really fresh and tender. The turkey is baked fresh everyday and the brisket is delicious. My favorite is the chicken salad and I like that on both a roll or wrap. From the grill, the Steak and Cheese is really good. The soups are excellent. It is made from scratch everyday; Italian Wedding is my favorite. The chili is really good, too. The service is really friendly and fast so it's perfect for takeout. Right down the corridor, there is a really nice open air atrium that is perfect to take my lunch to eat at. All and all, I think Bethesda Deli makes the best sandwiches in the area. All the fast food chains are put to shame by this place.

Located towards the Wisconsin side of the Bethesda Place plaza. Very friendly service by the ladies behind the counter. Order at the left, pay on the right. Kind bars by the register. Basic beverage options in the fridge. Was hoping for a savior for my morning dose of mercury now that Uptown's gone, but no dice. Better toasted lox bagel than St Elmo, but inferior size and portioning to Woodmont Deli.

Not bad. Not bad at all. Not great... but not bad... Bethesda Deli is a tiny little place that as no tables or chairs (although there are some outside) and is mainly, strictly take-out. The workers are all Asian and some of them don't speak English very well. Sometimes it's hard to communicate, but in the end, annunciating excessively does the trick. Here, you can get sandwiches, soups, salads... all the usual deli things. Sandwiches are decent enough, although I think they are a bit expensive when you look at what you are getting. I mean, it's normal sandwich bread that contains whatever you want in it from $5 - $7. Sure, it's not bad, but if I were to make that same sandwich at home, it would cost me $1 or so. Still, I guess you can't expect to pay less. The quality of the ingredients is decent enough. The soups are ok. The chili is good, but I don't think i would really consider it chili. It's a thick meat soup. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good and has a nice kick, but I don't know if it should fall in the chili category. All in all, it's a decent place for lunch, if you are on the run. I wish they had tables that aren't outside though.

I'll preface this by saying I'm not really a deli person. Just grabbed some food from here. This place is just like the other delis in the area. Cheap, and offers basic sandwiches. I got a chicken gyro and it was pretty decent. Service was fast and the sandwich itself was good. They always use fresh ingredients, so that's a plus. I prolly won't come here for lunch again just because there are other places with more options nearby, but I do think their bfast menu looked enticing. This is prolly a good place for others, but not for me.

5 stars for a tiny deli? Oh yes I did, and here is why, the ladies who work this place are on point. They make what you want and quickly, and are so nice. After a week of being stuck in Bethesda, with its overpriced everything and lack of flavor, we finally found this spot and were so happy we did.

3.5 stars I really like the place -- it might be the best sandwich in Bethesda. Their turkey is fresh and carved to order -- super moist and delicious. I also love their chicken salad. A bit of a limited offering for a deli, but all of the ingredients are fresh and good quality. Very attentive and friendly staff.
