    Eh. I've been wanting to try this place for some time now, and when I finally got around to it, it was nothing special. I ordered the grilled steak burrito ($8) which came with fried onions, green peppers, rice, beans, sour cream, and a dash of steak! The burrito is pretty huge, comparable to Chipotle. But, I thought I ordered a steak burrito, not a vegetable, rice, and bean burrito! The steak was cooked to order, so it took about 10 minutes for the burrito to be made. The steak was actually kinda tasty, I just wish it came with more, especially for $8! The place is run by two ladies who were pretty nice. If I go back again (which I highly doubt), I'd probably try a platter instead. Hopefully I'll get more meat that way. Maybe you get more meat in the other burritos, but the one I had should definitely not be called a steak burrito.

    We ordered steak tacos and steak burrito and hot chocolate on a snowy wet winter late afternoon, after a visit to Potter Violin nearby. I normally love tiny food shacks and want to support small businesses. Well, to get to the point, I wish I didn't.. First complaint is that the foods we ordered were way over-priced. Second, it tasted nothing like other South American places we've been to in the DC area or elsewhere. The hot chocolate was watery, as the "cook" filled the cup with hot water then added a package of Swiss Hot Coco package to it. That was one of the worst $20 spent on restaurant foods.

    Based on my first visit, I would give it 4 stars. Based on the second, I would give it 2. The first time, service was ok but the food was great. (Nachos and a breakfast burrito). The second time, the service was horrible. They messed up literally everyone's order in front of me (3 people) and forgot to make my burrito so I had to remind them that I still needed my food after they served people that came in after me. And, to top it off, our food was awful. Even the chips were stale.

    I was reluctant to try this place for a few years b/c my friend was very dissapointed of this place. But I was hungry for mexican food so I came. And to my surprise... This is a pretty decent mexican restaurant. It is a small shack that has a kitchen in it and an outside patio to eat if you'd like. The mexican food is pretty decent. I don't remember it being baja style but the typical dish of beans, rice, and (tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and etc.) The food is actually pretty good. :) I'd come again if I wanted something quick to bite and was in the area. :)

    Let me start off by saying this is not the type of place I would expect to find in Bethesda. The building is a small little shack doing strictly carry out business. There are a couple picnic tables out front which are nice to eat your lunch on a nice day. It overall has a nice low-key homey feel to it. The menu isn't that big, and it seems to offer a sampling of authentic Mexican food. I ordered a beef burrito with enchilada sauce which was pretty tasty. I do want to compare it to Chipotle because I feel this one is probably more authentic, but it was good in a different way. The soft tacos looked pretty good so I want to give those a try. They also have a pretty traditional Mexican breakfast menu with bean and fried egg platters and other goodies. I also want to try the enchiladas and the carne asada. The prices here are inexpensive for Bethesda and I'll be back to sample the other menu items. This place is a little off the beaten path for breakfast or lunch in Bethesda but definitely worth giving a try.

    I went with a group of co-workers for lunch not too long ago. It looked authentic enough that we decided it was probably going to be amazing. The pricing wasn't too bad, and the initial look of the food was really promising. The taste was okay - not great, not awful. You kinda got the feeling that there was probably something else on the menu that was their specialty, but what you got probably wasn't it. And then I crunched something in my burrito. I fished it out, and found a nice piece of glass. Everyone stopped eating immediately. I went inside and showed the staff. They looked at each other, then at me, and someone eeked out, "Oh, we had a window break earlier. Would you like us to make you another burrito?" I passed. Forever.

    This place has changed hands at least twice since I started eating there--first it was Chela's, then El Mexicano, now Delicias. It seems to get better with each new owner. The Super Super Beef Burrito is scrumptious--the right proportion of greasiness to greatness. It's so big they needed a zoning variance to make it and I had to get an easement to eat it. I'm not Mexican or Salvadoran or Hispanic but it tastes authentic. I gave it four stars, not five, because I'm not sure I'm the best judge of the food Delicias serves.

    I have been there twice and I have ordered a few of their items: -beef and chicken tacos: the beef ones were amazing, I would give them a 5 star bit the chicken ones were good but kind of dry. -super super chicken burrito: one 9f the best burritos I have had, the spicy sauce made it special. -super super beef burrito: amazing beef burrito even though the chicken was better. - chips and salsa: one word, disappointing, for an authentic place the chips were not authentic at all, they were grocery store chips. The salsa though was amazing and it is the same sauce they use for tacos and burritos. It is a very nice place and it is pretty cheap. I would recommend eating there at least once.

    This was ok, not as good as you might imagine, biased on its taco-ria vibe. If you have ever spent time in the southwest or in SoCal you are familiar with this kind of road side stand. They run the gammet from outstanding to boarderline bacteria factories. Most often, the food is just great. I have been here a few times and it's always pretty good. Not great by any means and somehow that is a disappointment-- this place should have a line out the door with its location right next to a big, underused parking lot on the east side of Wisconisn Ave. First, I'll say I don't think its run all that well. They are always out of many/most sodas which does nothing but cost them profit. The place is a bit of a shambles, not unclean but kind of messy and and it always takes a while to get your food. The tacos were OK. Just OK. Kind of flavorless. Based on aesthetics it should be great. It looks like a dive-gem, in the midst of high end eating. It just just OK, and I'd rather eat at a chain like Chipotle and know that it will be consistent.

    i have been going to this place since i was a kid, before the 10 name changes. i will tell you if you order what they did the best back then it is still just as amazing. get a beef burrito with rice, cheese, hot sauce, sour cream, and maybe pinto beans if your into it. i love chipotle but this is better. no chicken, it is dry and bland and nothing new such as the El Salvadorian side of the menu. just not up to par. 5 stars for the beef burrito, 3 for everything else

    This place is a genuine taqueria run by a couple nice abelas. Everything from the common juevos ranchers to the more exotic dishes (some kind of maize pancakes filled with cheese?) were amazing. They ladies that run it are extremely nice and will often feed you drink/food samples while you wait (a big plus!). Also, while there is no indoor seating (primarily takeout), the outdoor bench is quite pleasant as the establishments sits a good block away from the main street (Wisconsin) in Bethesda.

    Someone cue Carmina Burana's "O Fortuna" cause this one is gonna be a little tough to swallow. I was a little nervous about coming to this place as I saw one of my friends had reviewed it and was not a fan by any means. So I went with a little critical eye. How bad could it be? I decided to order 1. A chicken tamale 2. An order of two papusas 3. A chicken taco 1. The chicken tamale was gritty and flavorless. Chunked potatoes included in the tamale (something I've never seen) was as bland as could be. No seasoning... no flavor... no sauce.. nothing. The opposite of the last tamale I had at "Polleria Tres Amigos" in Rockville. 2. The papusas... opening the styrafoam container was promising, but that's where expectations climaxed. The slightly charred outside of the papusa was a decoy for a oddly textured filling of cheese and blended chicken? I'm not even sure what was in that B? The (bright orange) cabbage mixture that was included lacked the vinegar and saltiness that usually gives the savory papusa another layer of flavor. Then, a 2 ounce, hot sauce? salsa? watery red flavorless sauce that was included didn't help one bit. 3. The chicken taco...the chicken flavorless! Void of any freakin' flavor. Like... I should have just gone to a church and gotten a pack of waters. Like... I'm almost convinced they just boil chickens in water and then shred it and put in on the taco. No hearty salsa on this B either. Some tomatoes, lettuce, and crema didn't help this poor attempt at an authentic spanish taco. Somebody needs to run a spice drive fundraiser or something for this place. Every single thing I had was blander than the next. It was like a rainbow of tan colors. Greyscale all the way. I've never tasted Latin cuisine that lacked that wonderful authentic punch of spice and flavor like this. I will not be back - sorry. 2 stars: Customer service was very friendly and no one punched me in the face, called me an expletive, or gave me food poisoning.

    Unfortunately, I came here for the wrong reason: It was cute. And a bit hidden. I mean, damn I wasn't even hungry in the least bit, but this small, shack-like carry out just screamed "authentic" to me so I could not fight the urge to not investigate. The kitchen here is modest in size. Actually, that would be a gross understatement. It's just small, plain and simple. But because it seems as though it's a one person show here, it seems to work. The woman that took my order was also the chef and she was a complete sweetheart. When I first came in, I wasn't even planning on ordering anything but once I started speaking with her, I didn't want to leave without trying something. I ordered the kids burrito, which seems like it might just come with meat and cheese. Not sure if she was just being kind, but she added rice, lettuce, salsa and sour cream as well. It ended up becoming a pretty sizable burrito and she only charged me $3.50. Unfortunately, the actual burrito came up short. The tortilla was cold and the shredded chicken to my surprise lacked flavor and was dry. I was so sad. I probably won't come back here although I would consider giving their breakfast burritos a try. I'm not going to hold my breath. To the woman working here though, "besos!"

    I'm giving this 4 stars, but I am not to be trusted. Based on the food itself, it deserves more like 3-3.5, but I'm a sucker for any homely little shack that reeks of authenticity. Even better if it looks like a pre-gentrification holdout in its neighborhood (as though Bethesda was ever low-rent). The ladies behind the counter are also very nice, so that helps skew feelings, too. For tacos and burritos, this place is a passable local alternative if you're tired of Chipotle, or any other place serving chicken that's actually juicy. The beef is pretty decent, if a bit greasy. The mission-style burritos must be about 2 pounds and for 7 or 8 bucks, there's a case for getting lunch here if you're in the area. It's not a revelation, though. Especially if you know the good stuff. If you have a friend visiting from LA, expect them to feel a little bit sorry for you. There is barely standing room for more than 4 customers in the building. Two benches are provided outside, but that makes this a de-facto carryout-only place for at least half of the year.
