Pretzelmaker is a must whenever I take my daughter to the mall. Their pretzels are soft and buttered enough, so it's not greasy. The large bites combo is $7.99. You get a large cup of bites & a large drink... Large bites itself is $6 & a large drink is $2.50. I mean, not much of a difference, but hey, you save money. BUUUT, you might as well spend your money on a drink elsewhere because they're ALWAYS out of ice! If you want your fountain drink at room temperature, by all means, go right ahead. Because it's summertime, an ice cold drink is ideal, especially in Hawaii. I had to ask if I could get another drink. C'mon, you serve ice blended... How the heck would that work out?? Some days the attitudes of some workers needs some adjusting... Don't take it out on me if you don't like your job, you're frustrated or whatever the reason is... you work in retail, suck it up or seek more training on customer service skills.

Pretzelmaker may seem like cheap mall food, but it is so much better. It is one of the few shops and food establishments that have stood the test of time. It opened when the mall was remodeled in the 90s, and I have loved it since. The pretzels are served hot, and you can customize toppings. My favorite is the original with butter and salt. It is crisp on the outside, but soft and chewy inside, and it is a good balance between sweet dough and saltiness. If you like pretzels (I love them in all forms, but especially soft ones like rolls out these), you should come to the Pretzelmaker. Sometimes they have samples, and the employees are very nice.

I've never been big a pretzel fan. IMO they're too plain overall whether bagged or fresh. This was the spouse's choice. ATMOSPHERE: They're located on the first level of the mall in the center wing. The shop is small and human traffic flows nicely. It wasn't the cleanest looking of places especially near the soda machine area but not disgusting. FOOD: Pretzel Bites - The small size is a decent snack size. We got it salted with the honey mustard for dipping. I thought it was undercooked, too doughy and lacked any sort of flavor, even with the dip. SERVICE: The female worker was friendly, professional, and fast. OVERALL: Unimpressed. Maybe we need to choose a better flavor next time.

When you first walk in the greetings and smiles you get are outstanding, my kids and I feel so welcomed! My children love the pretzel bites and would eat it everyday if they could. The lines move pretty fast and their products are always full or replenished in a timely manner. I would recommend anyone at least try it out once and hopefully get the same experience we did. Thank you pretzelmaker for the delicious pretzel bites/pretzels and for making my kids so happy, keep up the good work!

The crew that was working when I went into their shop consisted of 3 girls. The 2 that were taking and fulfilling orders was young, like in high school. The one fulfilling orders was unfriendly with a sassy attitude, non-smiling. The order taker was smiling and friendly, but not too bright. When I received my order of a large bites, my daughter noticed a few that had blue streaks in them. I inquired with the order taker what those blue marks were. She asked the order fulfiller and came back to tell me in a perky voice, "oh, it's just pen". Ew! I said in disbelief, "What?" She replied, "it's just from the pen mark on the plastic and it went through." I answered, "You're going to sell me pretzels with pen ink in them?!!!" She appeared bewildered and looked toward the fulfiller. The fulfiller glared at me and took my package back, then dumped the bites back into the bin and was picking out the 'bad' ones. I leaned over and told her that I wanted a whole new batch. She again shot me a glare. When my order was done she placed it on the counter and didn't say anything. I thought she was just waiting for our separate order to be done. Meanwhile the order taker grabbed my package and gave it to the customers after us. After she realized what she had done, she asked for it back from the other customer and handed it to me. Ew, again! They seriously need better training on food-handling and customer service. Also cleanliness, they both had their hair up in ponytails, but the ponytails were so long that they swished around over the food. I only received a whispered "sorry", nothing else. Even my 11-year old said that the least they could do was punch our card a couple more times.

Just got a pretzel dog and a lemonade. The guy in front of me was thoroughly frustrated. He gave the cashier a credit card and it was denied. The customer said there's over a $1000 on that card. It was a Bank of Hawaii credit card. I guess, it's not Pretzelmakers bank. The manager or person in charge was rude and asked if the customer had another card or cash. I didn't have a bad experience but the guy in front of me was very embarrassed and upset. Poor customer service. I felt bad for the guy especially because his daughter had to witness the incident.
