This place is very dirty and needs a renovation makeover. More mosquitos than customers inside. Food was nothing special at all. It is close to airport and we ended up there by mistake simply because the GPS led us to a wrong sushi restaurant.

They have a late happy hour & spruced up the place since the last time I've been there (a looooong time ago). DECOR: The newer side has a decent amount of seating & some are fitted with burners for Korean BBQ. Everything would look SO much better if they just cleaned up the place more. It really tells the customer something when they see a menu taped to the wall & then see multiple items crossed off with a pen. FOOD: The food comes pretty slow & is so so. The dynamite bowl takes 45 minutes (yes, you read that right) to cook, but it tastes pretty good! The rice for the sushi is flavorless, sometimes hard, & the texture just isn't right. The miso soup is watered down. The jajangmyeon (noodles with a thick black soybean paste & pork) tasted ok. Overall, average at best. SERVICE: I saw a customer just waiting at the entrance for at least 5 minutes before anyone even went up to him. Expect to wait; so don't come here if you're in a rush. Otherwise, our guy was friendly and was doing his best! Overall, I'd only come back here if my friends wanted to since they like to do group gatherings here occasionally.

I always have great service here. I took a friend from work and he was amazed how a little place packs so much flavor. We ordered the Crispy California roll and the Dynamite roll. A few Asahi later. We orderd the Unagi, the boom roll. I was very pleased by the service we received and the food. The f-n bomb. No extra gratuity was added towards our tab. Everything came out to $32. We gave $40 and left very stuffed. Definitely will be returning.

**ALERT**ALERT** If your there after 9pm they will add a 15% tip to your bill. I've been there may times but never again. They never EVER mentioned it and the receipt they have doesn't either. I used to leave a decent tip. So they got tipped twice. Please tell everyone. I will never go there again and I hope they go out of business for taking advantage of there own customers.

Went to sushi happy hour everything half off. Roaches everywhere I'm talking about the kind that mice are afraid of. Not being over dramatic either. Also the lady that owns the place is super rude. She has the pleasure of waiting tables which makes here extremely mad, she will literally ignore you and ask if you don't know how to speak English if you don't understand what her Chinese accent is saying. She loves to overcharge so double check your bill. It's open seating but she will tell you were to sit. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place!

I just finished having my first dinner at Asian Cuisine in two years. There's been a few changes to the decor and setup of the restaurant. However, the biggest issue I have/had with Asian Cuisine is the slow/aloof service. The food is usually good, no real complaint about that, but I cannot understand why the service hasn't really changed. Couple things that bothered me about today's visit: 1. the table was sticky...like they used a rag that was sopped with mandoo sauce and wiped it all over the table instead of wiping it off the table. 2. there were two people waiting on tables, a lady and a man. Well, the poor guy was doing majority of the work - helping to take care of take out orders, cashing people out, taking orders, bringing out food, cleaning off tables, etc. The lady working totally ignored us, so much so, that the guy took our order (after waiting 10+ minutes) and then she came and threw a couple of menus on the table to which I gave her a "why are you giving us menus, we already ordered" look and then she looked at me like I was stupid, so I told her that he already took our order. She just took back the menus and walked off. Really?? 3. the guy brought out our food, checked on us, brought the check, and took the check back when we put the credit card in the folder. But, when getting back the bill, guess who brought it? Right, the lady! And guess what she did? She gave us the bill and credit card for a different table who was leaving! I had to go over to the table and ask them to switch the bill. Really?? The guy was top notch, he was busting his butt big time! The lady needs to get her act in gear. I know the BF enjoyed the food, I was okay with my food too, but if I have a choice, you can bet that I will not be choosing to go to Asian Cuisine.

Decent sushi. Definitely not worth the price though. I've had this restaurant twice. I don't remember having problems the first time. However, the most recent time was terrible. Somehow I paid $15 in tax alone. I'm never returning. Especially after hearing reviews from friends and family.

I've been here a few times because of happy hour sushi. Never really been impressed but I'd come back if I needed cheap sushi close to home. Never again though because the service just gets worse every time we go. The elderly waitress is very rude and will scoff at you if you ask her any questions....such as for water. Go to Sanseis in Kihei if you want awesome sushi with staff that can at the very least not deliberately ignore you and make rude comments/gestures towards their customers.

There is a late happy hour with half price sushi, though it is still expensive. But it's Maui and it's a bar that stays open late in Kahului so I expect no less than pricey. You can call ahead to reserve seating. Happy hour: $6 for nigiri, some pieces were more. Rolls were $10+. Service is okay, they are very patient and nice. I didnt feel rushed and they let us stay past closing time without rushing us. The back area table is good for large groups and is located next to the bar. One of the major drawbacks to this place is the bathroom location as it is not in the restaurant and it feels a bit creepy since it's part of the dimly lit shopping center.

Didnt know why I returned. Good food and bad service I guess it balances out. Don't expect a good tip though. Great customer service is very important especially returning customers. I'll never forget how they made me feel.....

I used to like eating here but I just had lunch here today with my family and it sucked!! The food was over priced and taste less. I ate only my rice cause it was the only thing that tasted normal. Our bill was over $70...will not be going back any time ever!!

Campy, homey decor and look to the place. Lots and lots of dustballs on the mesh-with-seashells 'curtains'. The food.... meh. Sushi was bland, presentation was very plain. Menu is a bit confusing, as they have happy hours where stuff is half-priced... but it's not noted on the menu and just on signs haphazardly posted near the entrance. The service..... whoa..... really really bad. Ours was awful, had to flag down the waitress several times to first get our order taken, then for soda refills. But you know it's bad when you notice other patrons having the same issue... and some having to even walk up to their waitress station and dictate their orders to the staff there. If I had nowhere else to go late at night in Kahului and I was hungry, then... yeah.. this place might be it. But I wouldn't come back unless I had to.

Amazing food, piss poor service. Expects you to tip good when they only take your order & bring the food out to the table.

I miss the food from here....... After moving to Oahu over a year ago, we dont get to eat here. I would usually get the BBQ chicken or the House Special and the fried mandoo. My husband ususally orders sushi. Best BBQ chicken I have ever had. Nothing I can find comparable here in Oahu. Next time we go to Maui, we will definitely be stopping at Asian Cuisine. Oh and one more thing...... I heard they have huge rats that are in the ceiling. Ha Ha. I have never seen any or heard any so its just a here say type of thing.

Checked this place out when I was on Maui and so-so place. They have a variety of "Asian Cuisine" ranging from Local, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. They also have a Yakiniku station as well. Overall not too bad! The price is decent and the portions are large. The food isn't anything to brag about, but pretty good for the portion and price. Not a bad place to go when you are super hungry like our group was! Very friendly service. Chek this place out!

  • Sarah F.

My go-to place for delicious reasonable sushi. After 10pm, sushi is half priced! Crispy california rolls, 69, volcano rolls and yummy plate food as well.

  • Ali G.

I love this place! The 1/2 off sushi happy hour is when I always go. Lobster Dynamite is the best! I took off one star because the wait staff can be kind of shy and therefore unattentive. One time my husband and I were arguing politics and I think they thought we were fighting and wouldn't come near our table for over an hour! We had dirty plates and empty cups, and of course no sign of the bill when we were finished. Other than that minor detail (probably our fault anyway, our discussions can get pretty heated lol) its awesome! I highly reccomend it for the best priced (and good tasting) sushi on the island!

  • Teri K.

Don't let the location or the look keep you away. This was a good, cheap dinner. Big servings, tasty man doo and sushi. The extra veggies to start were great too.

I am totally a fan of Asian Cuisine & Sports Bar, mostly because I enjoy getting more for my money. They have lunch and late night specials (9:00 p.m. - close) which features 1/2 price sushi and $5.00 appetizers. The service is kind of iffy. Sometimes I get good, friendly service and other times I get the waitress that grabs the pen out of my hand as I'm writing on their little sushi order sheet. But in my opinion, 1/2 price sushi is worth the gamble. Some of my favorite things to order are the shrimp tempura hand roll, chinese chicken salad and kal bi. However, try to stay away from the spicy tuna roll, because it kind of tastes like "buffallo" fish... Not too appetizing. The overall food quality in simple terms would be this: better than Genki but not nearly as good as Sansei. If you are looking for a deal, dine here. If you are looking for consistently good service and impressive food, you may want to eat somewhere else.

Food was good and abundant. Came here because we were sick of trying to find a new place to eat. At first we were not sure which door to go in. There seems to be two restaurants but both serve the same thing. We went in the left set of doors and ordered. The side dishes were delicious. There was lots of food and it was fast. Its the amazing Korean taste minus the too spicy. I love korean food but cant stand how hot it is so i was so happy to taste everything minus the spicyness. Overall I have to say I liked it and wished I found this place sooner.

  • Leila S.

3.5 stars We did take out twice on a recent visit and their food is pretty good. I had the combination plate with bbq beef and bbq chicken. It's accompanied with korean veggies, miso soup and a piece of shrimp tempura. It's comfort food - Hawaiian style. When I finish my food, I know I've come home.

The food is great good traditional Korean food, but the service is not consistent! They forget to give their traditional side dishes. They need to treat the locals that enjoy their foods much better cause if you sit there and watch one of their Korean decants come in, they are treated with more of the side dishes and better service too. Really doesn't want to make you go back for a month or two, hoping they would treat us the same as their people. They don't give the Korean (won bok) kim chee, they give head cabbage kine kim chee and if you ask for the real one, you'd better watch their face cause sometimes they give you a sassy look back, so terrible. And they wonder why they don't make much tips!! I ordered Kim Chee saimin, that was no traditional Kim Chee saimin with that stupid head cabbage kim chee again. We like to go to their bar late at night for sushi 50% off. But 5 times we've been there and we busted them charging extra so watch out. Service on the bar side is just as in consistent! Again, if you are Korean you'll get served faster and with a smile!

Whenever I come back home I always seek out saimin. Sam Sato's and Ichiban were both closed so my grandma took me here. The menu ranges from Korean to Chinese to Japanese. The saimin was less than satisfying - the soup base didn't have much flavor and the noodles were thick and rubbery. My mom ordered the california roll, but you could barely see any [imitation] crab! I asked, doesn't california rolls have crab in there and she replied, "there it is, you see that really thin layer?" There was indeed a REALLY thin layer. She didn't care too much for it. My grandma ordered the chicken chow fun and she thought it was okay and she's a VERY picky eater. I feel like they're trying to cover too much different types of cuisine without perfecting it. It's a Korean run place, so I bet if you are craving any Korean food it would be outstanding? I'll have to go back and see. If you want Saimin or Sushi....go somewhere else.

Let me start by saying I wish there was a option to choose zero stars as my first trip here will undoubtedly be my last. Upon arrival, there was instant confusion as to if I should wait to be seated or seat myself. None of the staff made eye contact and just went about their business. I started to garner the vibe that perhaps our presence was an inconvinience to them, nevermind that neon sign in the front illuminating the word OPEN. Once we seated ourselves it was about 20 minutes till we were acknowledged. The waitress was extremely rude and walked away literally 2 seconds after callously asking, "you ready?!" It must have been rhetorical question friday. We had reached the 30 minute mark with still no water. That's right, WATER!, TAP WATER! Were we supposed to drink the shoyu on the table or recycle our own saliva to keep our pallet wet? It was a joke! I seriously pondered the idea we were on some television show where you were awarded money for maintaining patience through an unbelievablely bad situation. I went so far as to order water on our ticket we were supposed to fill out for food on our table. I tried to intercept the waitress by raising my hands in another attempt to ask for water stating "excuse m..." only to be cut off with a "pardon me" as she glossed over my existence (again) to tend to something else. I could not believe how flagrantly rude one supposedly there to serve you was being. When she did deliver our sushi (STILL NO WATER) about 10 minutes after that, I once again attempted to relay the fact we had no water. Paraphrasing her, she told me to wait. Really?! What do you think I've been doing for nearly an hour! For WATER! The water arrived shortly after and I took a moment to internally scream, HALLELUJAH! We went on to eat our sushi when we were abruptly hit with the discovery that their credit card machine was down and that it was "cash only tonight." It was basically a mandated presentation with zero apologies or empathy for the now paramount inconvinience. Would it not have been decent to inform us ahead of us placing an order? What if we only carried plastic? Luckily we did have cash otherwise an already ridiculous situation was about to blow up. I was done at that point. Fright night was now complete. Not only will I NEVER go there again, but I implore anyone who reads this to please tell everyone you know to avoid this place at all cost. The sooner this place is shut down, the better this world will be.

50% off sushi happy hour Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 3 PM and 5 PM to 1:30 AM Saturday through Sunday 11 to 3 and 9 PM to 1:30 AM. Good quality Korean, Japanese, Chinese food and a full bar. It's hard to argue against after 10 PM when the other choices include Denny's. It's fresh friendly family

Don't trust the 2am closing time posted on yelp. They close whenever they please. I showed up at 12am and the doors were locked. Someone was inside at the register but didn't bother to look up when I knocked. Pretty rude. Several of my friends and I have stopped going for this reason.

What a strange name! All week our friends kept saying they wanted to take us to some Asian cuisine and we kept wondering in our heads why they wouldn't just tell us the name of this place :) We went during happy hour and was able to get so much sushi at 50% off. We tried four different rolls and they were all very good. All the fish had a really clean taste to it and you could tell that everything was very fresh. The atmosphere is very fun and it's a good place a accommodate large groups of people looking to have a relaxing sushi filled night. If we ever get to make it back out to Maui we would surely come back to eat here again!

GREAT LATE NIGHT GRIND SPOT!!!! Food is awesome! The older waitress lady is mean in to be honest scares the crap outta me! She yelled at My girl and I when we tried to move tables lol The younger chick is much nicer :) As you probably know its hard to get a good, cheap late night meal....This rock shuts down after 9pm during the week. But not here! It's a nice local joint. No cheesy aloha shirts or people saying Aloha every 10 seconds. You'll gind me here at least once a week.

ATMOSPHERE: Old, dirty & disgusting. Cheap and tacky decor abound. FOOD: Hamburger steak - Okay. Patty is home-made which is a plus. Gravy is semi-dark with good flavor. BBQ mixed plate - Good. Combo of chicken and teriyaki beef. Big portion. Shrimp & veggie tempura - Good. Crispy and nice sized portion. Nabeyaki udon - Decent but still can't compare to Archie's version. Broth on the sweet side, light in color, minimal veggies. SERVICE: Fast & semi-friendly. OVERALL: If I could nominate a restaurant for the show Restaurant Impossible, this would be it! Food is okay along with the prices, but please take some pride in your restaurant and clean the damn place. 11/19/10 UPDATE: I've eaten here a couple time before, but after what my mom & aunty saw l, you may want to re-consider until the problem is fixed. They went for some drinks, pupus & dinner. Long story short, 2 rats were spotted in the bar side of the restaurant, one scurrying across the floor, the other taking a rest under a shelf. One of them gets caught with a pair of tongs and taken away in a box. The other one slips away. This vector control happened in front of patrons! That is so dirty and disgusting! I for one am never going back. 8/16/12 UPDATE: Decided to give them a try again, hoping that the rodent situation should be taken care of by now. While it's impossible to know for sure, I didn't see or hear any commotions while there. ;) I'll be nice and give them another star.

The service here is a joke. The rude woman serving good first wouldn't serve my girlfriend a beer because her ID was facing up and down and not side to side even though it clearly says she is 22 years old. Then she proceeds to critique our order and then after it comes out she literally avoids our table. We actually wanted to order more food. I then try and flag someone down after waiting 30 after we were done eating for our bill and the first server that saw me made eye contact with me and then walked the other way. This place is a joke. Someone teach them how to serve the public. Also pretty sure the old bat of a waitress is just actually racist. Can't believe she can stay open acting like that.

I went to this place twice. First time was during Baldwin's graduation - BAD IDEA. When it gets busy... service SUCKS. Lol. I've went to late night dining before and this place was not the best. Our food came out all different times, we sat there for a while w/o being talked to. The customers who were in there before us, got their food AFTER us! The 2nd time I went... It was the same. Our food came out at different times. It was like the meals were coming from China and Korea. ha. But overall the food was not that bad. I reccommend the sushi bento box w/ the butter fish. Yum. :) Their noodles are not that bad either. Come during their slower hours.

Service was slow it took for almost 45 minutes when the the order came , and they gave me the wrong order , when the right menu came the veggies were not cooked and the meat wasn't tender. , it seemed they rushed to cook it coz I was so impatiently waiting for it .... The restaurant was not even busy , the service was poor.

Dropped by here on vacation, fresh and hungry from the airport. Our party of 3 came for the "happy hour," and we ordered about 7 different rolls. FOOD QUALITY: The food quality was terrible- mushy innards to stiff rice, and the unagi smelled OFF- like it had gone bad. They had some interesting looking rolls but honestly it's not worth the food poisoning. Average quality at best, even notwithstanding the potentially rotten unagi. DECOR/RESTAURANT: Cute, campy look. However, upon closer inspection, everything was sticky and slightly dirty- the fake plants were COVERED in dust. So covered in fact that they were more gray from the dust than green. Gross. SERVICE: This was honestly the worst part- when the bill came out, the restaurant had charged us a 7$ "non-tax" fee. When I asked what it was for, the waitress/owner said it was "part of the happy hour." So, they basically decided to smack us with a "fee" without any real justification. Nope. Don't come here. NOTE: I marked the noise level as "loud" because the gentlemen making our sushi were constantly shouting at each other in Korean. NOPE. SERIOUSLY. DON'T COME HERE.

If you are looking for decent sushi and other Asian fare at reasonable prices this is the place for you. This is a local style place. What that means, not the glitzy glam restaurants of the west side of Maui. Decor and furnishings are authentic retro. Service is decent, but I can see that if they are busy they would not be well staffed. Our sushi, tempura and fish and chips were tasty and prepared very well. I'm coming back for other local Asian fare.

This was actually the worst dining non-experience I've ever had. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The waitress never gave us our menus, and though we tried several times to make eye contact with her she would look away quickly. It took her fifteen minutes to even speak to us, and while she was asking our order bounced impatiently on the balls of her feet the entire time. We ended up leaving without ordering.

Seriously???!!! I've been here a "lot". I live here half the year; but grew up here. Food is okay....but the service is something else. C'mon, waiting for 30 minutes just to get my water. Some of us have a short lunch break. I'm spreading the word.

Went here for lunch and had their mochiko chicken plate while friends were watching a football game. Good food, good variety of drinks, and very friendly staff. The only downside were the flies that kept trying to share our food. Other than that this is somewhere I see myself returning to often.

Décor looks like the ocean threw up all it's contents into this one room. There are shells and fish and nets hanging all over the place. It's not the cleanest place either. And for us women, when you have to go outside to use the restroom, at night, it's kinda scary. But aside from that, the foods ok. The sushi is on the smaller side. which is why I only go during happy hour. PATRONS BEWARE THAT WHEN YOU GO DURING HAPPY HOUR FOR SUSHI, AND ONLY ORDER SUSHI, THEY AUTOMATICALLY TACK ON GRATUITY TO THE CHECK!! I've gone to this place COUNTLESS times and each time I've tested them. If we only order sushi, gratuity is already added to the bill. However, once we order a plate, it's not. We've asked the waitress (different ones) and all have told us the same. Yes, gratuity is added. Back to the food. For the price, during happy hour, sushi is a bargain. I haven't had any bad sushi here. Meat Jun is good. Big portions. Hamburger steak is good as well. Combo plates are solid. BBQ Chix is well marinated (teri marinade) and is grilled to perfection. Banchan (little sides they give you) is always tasty and only complimentary when ordering plates. Although service is lacking, they do try their hardest. I can't say I've ever had a rude waitress. I've been there when the place was packed and only 2 waitresses were on staff. Everytime they came to my table, they always had a smile. I'll always come back to this place. Not often...but I'll be back.

we have been going to this restaurant when it first opened a few years ago. we love korean food so that is why we liked going here. since recently the owners had added a sushi bar to the menu as well as a sports bar area. we visited it every now and then everything korean on the menu is delish. our favorites are the HOUSE SPECIAL, BUTTERFISH BUTTERYAKI, SEAFOOD TEMPURA, BUL GOGI, BI BIM BAP, JOP CHAE, COMBO SPECIAL, SPICY BEEF AND KALBI and the appetizers are, Deep Fried OYSTERS, CALAMARI and MAN DOO!!! the place is small, but well worth the wait or take-out? one of our favorite places to dine for dinner. ;-)

Food is good. Service is the worst on Maui. Hands down horrible. Waitress spilled a whole bowl of shoyu on my lap, it took 2 hrs to get my food, the order was wrong. She never even said sorry...just stink eye... I signed up for this site just to let people know about Asian cuisine

When someone in Maui suggested that we go to Asian Cuisine when we were looking for dinner one night, I immediately thought..*WTF...what kinda place is named Asian Cuisine? It must be hella crappy. * But, let me tell you, I was definitely proven wrong. Asian Cuisine most likely has its name because they don't just serve you one type of Asian food. Want sushi? They have it. Want Meat Jun? They have it. Want Yakiniku? They have it. Want Beef Broccoli? They have it. It's basically a range of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean food, as well as local favorites as well. So if you have a party that just wants Asian food in general with no specific ethnicity in mind, this is THE place to go to. Asian Cuisine is located in the Kahului Shopping Plaza, so as you know, parking is plentiful here. There won't be any trouble finding parking within the lot that serves this entire place, so that's always a great thing. For me, whenever I see Jang Jang Myun on the menu anywhere (which is hardly EVER), I usually always get it. I was definitely surprised when I saw it on the menu, because so far, I only know three places on Oahu that serve this yummy dish. I saw the dish pop out on the menu, and I knew immediately what I wanted. With your food, they serve you kimchee, choy sum, and fish cake to start off your meal, as well as a bowl of hot miso soup. The Jang Jang Myun itself comes with a side of takuan. It was SO delicious. It was such a generous serving too, that I really wanted to finish it, but I was so full, I couldn't. I also didn't want to get full, because another thing I saw on the menu (on the first page, you tricky people!) was tempura ice cream. I just wanted to order that as my meal, but I don't want to be one of those people. It's okay. On my next trip to Maui, I will definitely get this. But definitely come here, the other members of my party enjoyed their food as well. Service here was definitely good. There were only two guys in the front, and they made sure we were taken care of. They definitely got a good tip from us. =)

Food: sushi happy hour from 11-3! Really cheap sushi which is 50% off. Now the sushi i picked werent as good as i expected but hey 5bux a roll, cant really complain about it. Most locals were ordering their bento boxes and bowls of soup? So you might wanna look into those as well.

I'm not sure how to describe my dining experience! 1) The floors are nasty. Everywhere I went to the seating, restrooms was like walking on sticky tape. The floors were not clean. 2) The ladies in the wait staff are RUDE! Absolutely rude. Not once did they check how everything was, I had to flag one down and when I said I didn't like a dish, she said "well you ordered it" and had a complete bad attitude. 3) Inside the restaurant is dingy, dirty, dusty, tables are sticky and the seats are stained and grungy. 4) Now let's talk food! Went to eat sushi and our waitress said the wait is about half an hour and to order something else, or wait. So we ordered tempura (only came with potatoes, onions and shrimp) more tempura batter than anything else. Calamari, which was about 4 inch long chewy individual pieces (not very appetizing) and my Mother ordered Chop Chei which was ok. At one point this establishment was decent. Now it's disgusting and not worth trying out. To top all this off, they gave us the wrong tab and tried to over charge us someone else's order!

This place gets zero stars from my family and I but I guess I can't continue without a star rating which is a zero but had to settle for one but its a ZERO RATING in our eyes. We went there to have dinner Sunday night September 6 only to have them say that because our party was too big of 25 people in my family all together..and mind you this was our last dinner with all the family as some of us live in Honolulu and was leaving the next day..that they couldn't serve us. So I ended up going to ask them a"are telling me that we can't eat here cause our party was too big?", Then the 2 lady's, a youger and older korean lady, were trying to make excuses then eventually said they would serve us. Well as my family went in and sat down I walked in and the younger Korean lady walked past me and ended up slamming the menus on the counter and telling the older Korean lady something in their language. Well needless to say we didn't like that so we left and a lot of us..my family.. gave them some thoughts on their SUCKY SERVICE and went to go eat at IHOP with much better warming service..They should just have a sign outside that they can't serve party's over 10...

Poor service.. Its really really slow.. Waited 15 min to get order in.. 15 min to get our sushi.. We ordered everything we wanted same time.. And yet, we got our dinner 45 min after the sushi.. That's not the worst part! She even gave our bill before we got our dinner. Food is greasy.. Not that good. not coming back again!

Would give this 0 stars if I could. I came here with 4 other friends for the happy hour special (1/2 off sushi) and we ordered 8 plates. It took 20 minutes to get our water, another 1/2 hour to get our first three plates. Then 10 minutes to get another plate. After ANOTHER 1/2 hour or so for them to come back and ask us if we got all our plates which we were still missing 4 of them after that we got fed up and just paid for the things we ate and left. It was so pathetic, they really need to clean up their act.

I stop in here maybe once a year if i'm feeling a beer and some sushi after work. Beer is cold and sushi is usually decent. Tonight we went in for a family dinner, suggested by another member of the family. I must say I was not impressed with the food at all. The sushi was still decent but the mochiko chicken was definitely not what I was expecting, it was kinda dry and tasteless. The waitresses were pretty attentive, that is a step up from the last time I was here. But fyi they are doing some renovation right now on one side, much needed, but the place has a weird smell to it. And of course its still kinda run down on da bar side. Think I will stick to the quick sushi and beer and not meals.

The epitome of "meh". The best way to sum this place up is the physical quality of their menus; like a dirty laminated representation of Asian cuisuine. If there are more than 3 tables full consider this rush hour as the service slows to a halt. Now all that aside...the happy hour sushi is not a bad deal by any means. The flavor meets the "meh" standard of Asian cuisine but there's good variety and $10 will get you a couple rolls and a beer.

4 stars for the food. We had bi bim bap and mushroom chicken. This is the best bi bim bap I've had besides in Korea! The place is old and probably dirtier than I'd like to think, but the server was friendly, funny and gave us better service than we normally get at other "better" restaurants.

Half off sushi seems like a good deal but ayer eating it I couldn't imagine paying full price for most of the rolls. They lacked flavor and have had better from foodland. Have been there a few times and won't be returning. Last time I was there I got my tab and just handed the waitress my card. (not smart) Luckily my boyfriend got a quick glance at the bill. Where our waitress returned with the receipt to sign it was more then the original tab she brought over. $4 more. I ask her about it and she says that tip is included in Happy Hour. Really? It wasn't the last 3 times I ate there. Nor is that disclaimed anywhere. Not on the menu not on the receipt. And she really didn't even deserve and $4 tip. She took our order and brought us our food and bill and that was all we saw of her.

As Ryan said in his review, CHECK YOUR BILL!!! Went for lunch last week and noticed they had a charge on the bill that we couldn't account for. Well, lo and behold, the waitress included 15% GRATUITY to our bill. Although the service was good (we would've left her 30% if she didn't add the tip in) GRATUITY is simply that! It shouldn't be expected! Plus, there were only 2 of us and we were only 1 of 2 tables there the whole time! This was the same waitress who did this to us last year, which is why I checked extra good this time. She didn't indicate anything about this on the check, nor did she say anything, so she was double tipped the last time! VERY UNETHICAL AND GREEDY!!! I'm sure if you disagree with the automatic addition of the tip, you could possibly have it taken off, or refuse to pay for something you didn't get, I.e. good service. Trust me, if the service was bad, I would have spoken up. Luckily she earned her 15% this time, but I will go back only if I'm desperate for their beef fried rice, which is killer! So, CHECK YOUR BILL, as you may be double tipping here!
