Possibly the best sushi in the CSRA! I've eaten there several times and I've never been disappointed. The sushi is excellent, but their teriyaki and hibachi dishes are fantastic as well! The staff is also always friendly.
This place was empty when I went in so I thought maybe it sucks, but I was pleasantly surprised. Customer service was pretty good, and the food was above average in terms of quality and value. The sashimi isn't the freshest I've ever eaten, but it's not that bad either. I got the 15 piece deluxe sashimi. Some pieces were bigger than others, and some pieces were a little fresher than others. See pictures. Prices are about average for this area.
was there 06/07/2015 and service was the best they really accommodate me and my requests. I post picture of one of their special plates the upgrade volcano roll. I just had them add Thi Chile Sauce for more heat. I also had their tuna tartar which was OK but small portion for price. I would eat there again and say it was very enjoyable.

This place is fantastic when you are in the mood for down home southern food. The pork is fantastic and I love the BBQ sauce and homemade honey mustard. I tried it for the first time the other day and I would recommended it to everyone! We will be going back!
Some of the best bbq in Augusta. Them pecan-praline crusted candied yams though! Must try.
Great place for home cooked southern food in Augusta. I got the roast lion which was a tad dry, but still very good. The BBQ sauce is a bit too tangy for me, and the hoe cakes are awesome (0.50 extra). If you chose to get a meal you get one meat and 2 sides. I chose mac & cheese and cabbage. The mac & cheese was definitely the best this on my plate! Sweet tea not so sweet but it wasn't something a pack of sugar couldn't solve.

They serve hot fresh large portions. Very good! Especially for a mom on a budget! We will definitely be coming back again.
I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine, and I was really excited to find a restaurant that offered Take out so close to my home. The staff was polite on the phone, the food was moderately priced, and quickly prepared. The chicken fried rice was mushy, and the lo mien noodles were as well. The sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls, and beef and broccoli were decent. I don't think we experienced the best this restaurant had to offer, so we will be dining in the next time to give them a fair shake
Amazing service. The food is the best "Americanized Chinese Take-Out" in the area. I've eaten at numerous Chinese restaurants in the area and have been generally disappointed. This is the only place I go anymore. The prices are fair and they dont skimp on the portion size. They are very accommodating when you order something slightly different (vegetable fried rice with no mushrooms, for example). Others have knocked the dine-in area. Sure, you dont feel like you're stepping into China when you walk in the door, but while small, it's clean and provides exactly what you need, a table and a chair so you can eat your food. I love this place for all my Chinese food needs.

Firehouse Subs

Reviews:
I grew up on Subway and have a special place in my heart for a BMT, so I wasn't really sure about going to a new sub place. My first few visits to Firehouse I got the meatball, which was pretty good, but once I got the cheddar brisket, I found a new favorite. For the food, I'd probably give this 5 stars. The only reason I dropped a star is that I have ordered online twice, and both times they didn't start making the sandwiches until I got there (I'd prefer to get there and just pick up the food and take it home -- I ordered online so I wouldn't have to wait).
I have eaten more than a few subs in my lifetime and as far as 'chain' options.... Firehouse, I love you. Priced similarly to all the others, they are simply better due to the amount of meat put on the sammich (because if it's made correctly, it's a sammich). Additionally, $2 for a 5 gallon bucket is a great deal as well. Expert advice.. make sure the lid is tight because they aren't washed out and you might spill pickle juice on your shoe.
Firehouse subs has the best subs I have ever had in my entire life. I was in the army for a good while and traveled the United States thoroughly and found that firehouse subs time and time again has the best that I've ever had. They have a guarantee that if it's not the best you've ever had it's free. Problem is that I'll never get a free sub because I can't lie, they are the best. I suggest you get the hook and ladder it's a very good sub. The engineer is great as well. They have a nice row hot sauces. They range from level one to level 10 in hotness depending on how you like your heat. They have kids nights on Wednesdays and Sundays. Kids eat free with a paid adult. My kids usually get the meatball subs. The adult version the meatball sub is amazing as well. Don't forget to get a cherry limeade while you're there. They are the most amazing drink ever made.

Osaka Sushi

Sushi was a little small and slightly tasteless here. Probably because I've had better but this just wasn't worth the price for the quality. The little Korean lady was really nice though. It wasn't busy when we came in during a late afternoon for an early dinner on a weekend. The rolls came in 6-8 pieces and came out quite quick. But they were just baby bite sized. I'm not sure if that's how they make sushi here in Georgia, but still wasn't worth $10 per roll. Otherwise decent service. Parking is ample up front and there's a lot of space. Very calming and dim ambiance. But sorry, we would not come here again.
This place is my super secret lunch spot that I come to when I miss sushi and/or Korean food. The husband and wife came from L.A. years ago for family and run the business together. He's the kitchen and she's the waitress/sushi chef. I have some mad respect for a woman who can cut fish 'cause I know learning to make rice and cut fish is so much harder than you'd think. You'll get greeted at the door with a friendly shout, "where have you been? Where's your sister? Sit down and eat!" Gosh, it's like I'm at church again and I'm getting henpecked by all the moms. The dining is small, unpretentious and you may spy a hula hoop in the corner. There are tons of customers photos and you'll notice it's mostly children. The owners are crazy about kids and just showers them with praise and attention. There are cups of crayons, coloring books and children's books to keep your kids occupied so that's a plus. The menu has a good mix of your classic sushi fare like spicy tuna, spider rolls, rainbow rolls etc. with their own creations added in. I've had honest to goodness food poisoning at another sushi place that caused the worst night of my year so sushi really does make me cringe but my sister convinced me to try it and I'm so grateful she did. The color and smell of the fish is always right and yes, they get it frozen from a wholesaler in Atlanta but the cuts are generous and I never have to ask myself if I'm going to be at the ER that night. What really brings me in is the Korean food. I enjoy getting the bento boxes for lunch. A little kalbi (short rib BBQ)or bulbogi (sliced rib eye BBQ) or champong (spicy seafood noodle soup) makes me incredibly happy since it's made so well here. The portions are generous and the variety of seafood in my soup is impressive. I'm such a picky eater when it comes to champong! I've sent back bad ones at the restaurant of a family friend because I am just that picky. Ask for it spicy and eat it on a cold day! If you're not sure what to eat, be sure to ask for some recommendations from the nice lady 'cause she stands by what she serves. If they had delivery, I'd have them on speed dial!
Best sushi in the CSRA, hands down. I have yet to have a roll that I haven't loved. My favorite are the red dragon roll and spicy tuna roll, just superb in flavor and quality of ingredients. The fried rice dishes are excellent also if you don't like sushi, which come with either chicken, beef or shrimp.

Izumi Japanese Buffet

Reviews:
What?! When I heard sushi buffet, I was a bit skeptical. I could only imagine the poor quality product sitting on a cold bar looking miserable begging to be thrown away. Boy was I surprised! My wife I decided to go there while our kids were not with us because we just assumed that it wasn't the kind of place children would really enjoy. As we entered, we were greeted by a smiling hostess. We were escorted to our table and promptly greeted by a server. The bar caught my eye as we walked through the dining room to our table and I found myself getting excited by what I saw. The sushi and sashimi was fresh and not dried out. The rolls looked very appetizing and the hot bar was minimal. Now I've been to a couple buffets that advertised a sushi buffet but it was hardly the case. This place really is a sushi buffet with some other stuff. Oh yeah, they have a hibachi station too. This place is on the expensive side when compared to some other buffets but you have to consider what they serve. I've never found a decent quality sashimi/sushi plate for less then $18. Most times when we go out for sushi we expect to pay a lot and still be hungry afterwards. HAHA!! I swear I ate my weight in fish and rice. I certainly got what I paid for plus some. They had to have lost at least 20 bucks with me. If you're looking for a sushi place where your get your moneys worth GO HERE!
Really good buffet choice for Asian food. Usually I avoid buffets in general, especially Asian ones (like those places that have pizza on the buffet!?), but this is a buffet I don't mind frequenting. They offer a large sushi bar, Mongolian grill, typical Asian dishes, salad/cold seafood bar, and desserts. I've had sushi a few places in the Augusta area and this is on par with those options for much cheaper. It's not the best, but it satisfies my sushi craving sufficiently. I love that they have so many veggie rolls and interesting specialty rolls without raw fish. The Mongolian grill has a variety of meats and veggies. The hot bar has pretty good food, but nothing spectacular. The salad bar has iceberg lettuce and really good ginger dressing. The crab legs are OK, but not great mainly because they are cold and not a great quality. But the fact that they are included in the price makes up for it. The dessert bar has nothing Asian, but some good cakes and fresh fruit. The service is quite tentative. Even when the place is busy I've had good service. Though beware, this place gets packed at lunch time. The interior is not what you'd expect from a buffet, it's very classy and chic. All in all, for the price you can't beat it. You'll pay a similar price for a hibachi grill plate somewhere else, and without sushi. I come here all of the time from North Augusta mainly to just go here. I doubt you'll be disappointed!
It's not often that you see a sushi buffet at the price point and quality of Izumi. Especially one that offers a hibachi bar. It's clean. Everything tastes fresh. The sushi varieties are replenished frequently enough. If sushi isn't your thing, there's a good variety of regular American-Asian fare. And there's always the hibachi bar, where you select your ingredients for your custom stir fry. Ultimately, the sushi is pretty good. It's not excellent, but it's still better than some of the other established sushi restaurants in Augusta (Sole downtown comes to mind, since all-you-can-eat comparisons come to mind). Izumi a great restaurant at a great price, especially for lunch. And there's beer.

I wish they had better seating & atmosphere because then they would deserve a 5-star rating. Everything I have had on the menu is delicious but the schwarma (regular or spicy) platter is my go-to pick. Their garlic sauce is usually amazing and the dressing for the salad is awesome. They have solid hummus in both plain & roasted garlic. I've also had their falafel, which are fantastic.
The wife and I visited here for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised. The Shawarma is delicious as is the hummus. We will be coming here again!
We've been eating at this place since about it opened. Love it. Generally pretty good. The feta fries are amazing. The spicy swarma is my go to. There was one time, out of many, where the plain chicken shwarma was a bit under seasoned, but it's been good 90+% of the time.
