We've been going to New Peking about 2 years now. They always had a great selection and good food until recently. About six months ago, I've noticed a decline. The selection has decreased, the food is cold, and most of it isn't palatable. Save your money and go elsewhere unless you're in the mood for clumpy stale fried rice and old soggy chicken and vegetables.

Wasn't really impressed. Not as many options except for the sushi bar available, especially dessert. Some items were cold and I had to ask for a refill :/

Just ate there for the first and last time.12$ for dinner. The food was sub par some of it was just plain nasty, and had been sitting way too long and this was at 5.The shrimp (iced) was mushy, the rangoons were hard as rocks as well as the little donuts, the pineapple tasted rotten, tapioca was aweful. How did this place ever even get 3 stars.

I've been looking for a good Chinese Buffett in the Orlando area for a while. This one Is a bit out of the way from our home but it's worth the drive. The food was good. The place was very clean and the price was great. There is a huge selection of food. It's worth checking out.

Your typical Asian buffet but with a better than normal sushi bar. Both my daughter and I experienced gastro issues for about 12-24 hrs after our visit. Service was very good but once was enough for us.

They have a really great selection of food. I loved all of the sushi options available on the buffet and the Mongolian grill was awesome to create your own stir fry. The only downside was they didn't have cream cheese wontons, which are one of my favorite Chinese dishes. We will definitely be coming back to eat here!

I love crayfish, butt I hate food poisining. I went to new peking to get a quick dinner on wendsday night And I got the cray fish and much more. I am not a novice to the food industry, I worked as a line cook for a decade or two(and no fish on mondays). I went to get sushi it had dry mealy texture to the tuna ie it was bad. Then I got a plate of crayfish and lemon. Upon cracking it open the liver (pimento)normaly orange to yellow was black and then after seperating the tail the meat was greay....Fudge! I asked my waitress if they would cook off some fresh these were odviously bad she said she would get a manager. She did not .so I got upand went to the cash register asked the manager myself if he could make some fresh cray fish because the ones on the buffet were rotten. He said no so I left. They can serve all the rotten food they want I will not return

My whole family had stomach issues after eating here. The food was lacking flavor and had a funny smell. Don't waste your money here.

This use to be my friend's and my favorite Chinese restaurant to go to for lunch at least once a month but we both agreed that our last visit would be our LAST visit. We eat different items from their large buffet and both of us experienced food that tasted so bad we spit it in to our napkins! And Items that we have loved for years tasted differently or just had little flavor, e.g. the fried wontons use to be light and crispy and now they are like little rocks and the noodles weren't crisp at all and were rather white. The chicken on a stick and the egg rolls had no flavor, and the boiled shrimp was mushy. (After a previous visit I had tummy problems the next morning, but as the food had tasted okay, I was not wanting to blame it on their food.) After this visit my friend and I both experienced bad reactions the next morning. I am heart broken as I really liked being able to choose from their great selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts but unfortunately this restaurant is no longer one I will eat at nor take a chance with my health.

This place has fallen off. They used to be my favorite, but the food quality has slipped heavily. They aren't worth the drive anymore. I'm truly saddened.

Too greasy, old food that you can see and meat tastes like fish. Same pan for cooking maybe? Fried rice was yellow vegetable rice. The only good thing was the ice cream and the service. What a shame.

Chinese Buffets have a bad reputation and rightfully so in most cases. They continue to top the charts of the dirtiest restaurants. New Peking Buffet continues to impress with their chinese buffet. First of all, they have fresh made sushi. The sushi chef prepares it right there so you can see it made fresh. They also have mongolian BBQ if you like that. Several things about this place stand out. 1. It is very clean. The floors are shiny and all the food stations are well kept. 2. The buffet portions at each station are small. By not putting out tons of food at each station, the food turns over much quicker and is always coming out new. 3. They replace the serving utensils on the buffet about every 30 minutes or so. Someone with a cart goes around and takes the old serving spoons and replaces them with clean ones, regardless if they "look" like they should be replaced. 4. They have a HUGE selection of food here. If you can't find something you like, you won't be happy anywhere. This is not 5 star food, but some really tasty things are made here. 4 stars for me and a job well done by New Peking Buffet!

I am a huge fan of Chinese food but have always been optimistic about buffet places. I have been coming to this place for a while and it has always been a good experience. The service has always been good just like my most recent visit, I also like the selection of food plus the prices are great. This place does get bay but with such a big place it is no problem because there Is plenty of seating.

I am really meticulous with Chinese food, so I only eat in limited joints in Orlando and Miami. This place has a great variety, excellent price, excellent customer service, the restaurant was clean and food was delicious. sushi bar is small but good, I went with company and only spend $27.00 with drinks.

Gotta say I am not really into Chinese buffets at all, but this place is good. Their selection is pretty big, the food is good quality, not the norm. I am totally surprised and recommend it highly for a Chinese buffet.

Had some time to kill for lunch while in town, came across this unassuming Chinese buffet. I say unassuming because the building does not look like your typical Chinese place. But once inside, we were happy with the appropriate bright and clean decor. They have a typical buffet selection plus sushi and Mongolian style. I always hit the Mongolian first. It is usually a good measuring stick on a place. They had an extensive selection of proteins and fresh veggies for you to hand over to the cook. It came out excellent. I was very satisfied with the remaining quality and variety, the waiter refilling our drinks and the freshness of the melons, which typically are not in my other experiences. They only offer vanilla/chocolate soft-serve ice cream though. It was really the only thing lacking from other buffets. I gave four stars as for being a buffet, it is what it is. I won't go out of my way to come back, but the value, selection, quality and cleanliness were very satisfying.

When the dippy place down the road closed, I was looking for a Chinese Buffet in this area. Despite it being around for a year or two, I finally tried this place over the holidays. As I said in my review of another Chinese Buffet, it's definitely not the highest class food around, but it's very very good at what they do. Great selection of food. Probably too much to even start to scratch the surface. I actually prefer fewer choices at buffets, but this is a good amount. The sushi was good, but many pieces were completely unlabeled as to what it was and what the ingredients were. Might have been since I was there right as they opened, but I prefer to know what I'm eating (except for Dim Sum - whatever in there is delicious, don't tell me what it is!)

Went there several months ago and found the food to be a bit on the bland side. Their sushi was okay at best but nothing that made me want to return. It was packed with folks taking advantage of the buffets but honestly I've had better.

Ok, don't judge me, but I'm a sucker for a Good Chinese Buffet! And, honestly they are rather hard to come by. I have been wanting to try this place as there are always tons of cars when I pass by so I figured it must be pretty good. My son and I went on Sat. around 1:00pm, there were quite a lot of people, however because the place is so big and there are so many items to choose from, you really didn't feel like it was that busy. The food was awesome! Everything was hot, fresh and the place was really clean. Just about anything you could think of was on that buffet. They had sushi, which I always air of the side of caution from a Chinese place, but it was really good! The Sushi chef was standing there making it, so it was fresh! They do the Hibachi grill also and next time I will definitely try that. Overall, great place, great prices and there is something for everyone!

Amazing what people consider a good chinese buffet. Its ok at best. All of the food is box frozen restaurant fare. Nothing exciting. The crab, shrimp and crawfish are previously frozen. Its ok, serves its purpose.

I was expecting to like this place... I only went because my niece hyped it up and we had to cuz it was her birthday. Boy was I disappointed. Everything tasted old and stale. And I tried a bunch of stuff! Teriyaki chix, sweet n sour chix, steamed shrimp, fried shrimp, ribs, beef,... plantains, the sugar donuts that people raved about,... I was trying to find Something... Anything... that tasted good. We went at 5pm, so the food should've been fresh. It wasn't. There was no one in line for the Mongolian BBQ so I tried that first. It took the chef FOREVER!!! I can only imagine how long the line would be during the dinner rush. Geesh!! When it comes to Asian buffets, I like Koy Wan better. It's on 436 in the Kohls shopping center.

I almost never dine in Casselberry; nor do I go to all-you-can-eat places, which usually means more-than-I-should-eat. But last evening I found myself at New Peking Chinese Buffet in Casselberry, the chosen restaurant of the old guys' club that I belong to. The company was fine, and for an AYCE Chinese place, this one is good! There's huge, huger, and hugest, and New Peking is the hugest, with some surprising finds on the buffet, including frog legs, a delicious little egg souffle called an egg tart, snow crab legs (for an extra charge), fresh fruits, stuffed crabs, tasty desserts, and thousands of other offerings. (I've told myself a million times to stop exaggerating.) It's clean, fresh, friendly, ample and it's in Casselberry.

This is my new favorite chinese spot. I love Chinese food but hate to decide on 1 item so I love buffets. The problem is buffets normally have a small selection, old food or both. I've been to New Peking about 5 times in the last month and I have left overstuffed everytime. (Not sure why I keep torturing myself like that) The food is consistently good, my drink is magically refilled after a couple sips and the price is right...to me at least. I like to start with the grill where they make your food fresh (I guess they call it Mongolian BBQ). After that I make a little bed of rice and build a mountain of all my favorite meats on top of it. I think they have vegetables but I don't pay attention to those...I'll go somewhere besides a buffet to eat healthy. I end my trip with sugar covered rolls and a nice bowl of soft-serve ice cream. Oh and I would like to thank them for not having the typical frozen melted frozen melted frozen melted ice cream that typical Chinese buffets carry.

It seems that all Chinese buffets always start out with this amazing enthusiasm and standard but seem to die out at some point. I happen to have eaten there DURING that moment. Remembering back a month or so at this place and thinking it was going to be THE new bi-monthly buffet that I would come to enjoy turned into me realizing that I like it less and less. I wasn't getting bored of their 72+ item selection, I getting concerned of how they let a great buffet dish become good. By no means am I bashing this place at all, I am merely pointing out that they have gone from what I once thought was the best Chinese buffet in Orlando, to a good one. The basics were all there. General Tso's chicken, fried rice, lo mien, and beef broccoli. They also have a Mongolian BBQ station where you pick the meat and veg and they cook it for you. The sushi is excellent taking in consideration that THIS IS NOT A JAPANESE RESTAURANT. Don't be afraid here, you won't get sick. They have some adventurous items as well like frog legs and crawfish. And some even more adventurous items such as pizza, quesadillas, and ny steak. (And by adventurous I mean gross) Please if you are going to eat there, stay FAR FAR AWAY from the NY Steak. Its an abomination. It is NOT NY STEAK first off, and it is permeated in what I could only make it out as BBQ sauce. I felt like Gordon Ramsay spitting out Kitchen Nightmare food. Eat there for lunch, its only $7.99, $9.99 for dinner. All the stuff is the same throughout the day. Eat the sushi and basics, stay away from attempted American food made by Fuzhou natives.

Went here once. When our waitress went to get our drinks, she was picking her nose in plain view of us. What does that mean? I don't know.

We drove to the ends of the earth for this buffet. Heard some good things about it being very tasty and quite extensive AND that their sushi was actually decent. One of my weird things is that I never ever eat sushi from a Chinese buffet ... don't trust it. Nevertheless, the sushi was decent. The eel rolls were quite tasty and I was satisfied with them ... making my friend go back and steal the entire plate from the buffet. I had the General Tso's chicken, Sesame Chicken, Chicken & Broccoli ... see a pattern? They were all good but nothing out of the ordinary. It was very clean in there and my drink was never empty so that made me happy. I'd probably go back but nothing I'd be craving although I do enjoy myself a good Chinese buffet from time to time. Try it out!

No, there is absolutely nothing odd about a Chinese buffet rising from the ashes and inhabiting the skeleton of an old Barnhills "country-style" buffet. And no, there is absolutely nothing out of the ordinary about mozzarella sticks being one of the most delicious items on this Chinese buffet's menu. But then again, it is this quirkiness that gives New Peking its charm, and the reason I continue to go back! They have an AMAZING selection of food, from freshly rolled sushi, to mongolian pork and chicken, a full salad bar and a mongolian style grill (think Genghis Grill, where you put raw food in a bowl and they cook it for you), along with the standard Chinese buffet fare. However, they have some really interesting dishes as well, such as a dragon roll (an egg roll wrapper stuffed with pork and Krab meat, then fried), stuffed shells (a crab shell stuffed with I-have-no-idea-what-this-is-but-GOD-is-it-good), and a dessert that is basically a bunch of giant fried wonton noodles, tossed in honey and sugar, then left to dry so it becomes crispy and heart-clogging, and delicious (if it's not heart-clogging at a Chinese buffet, then it's not worth eating). The wait staff is incredibly friendly and attentive here, and they have a nice selection of drinks as well. Hands down, my absolute favorite Chinese Buffet. Patron. For. Life

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
