In the wise words of Julia Child "How can a nation be great if its bread tastes like Kleenex?". I know what your thinking... Bread is Bread, That my friends is not the case! Something that seems so simple can be so complex. By no means am I putting down a basic white loaf baked by Mom or some other industrial manufacture ... It has a place! But in the grand scheme of things and the thousands of years people have been making breads, its.... Well, lets just say no comparison. Shannon and the team of bakers at Olde Hearth Bread are baking up the best bread in the area that I have found and delivering it to some of the top restaurants in Orlando. I stumbled across O.H.B.C. about five or six years ago at the Winter Park farmers market and knew from a distance just by the sight of some of the crust that this operation had some skills. I have worked my way around the different breads they offered from week to week at the market over the past years and found myself seemly impressed by each loaf, I do have my favorites but would suggest you give them a try and decide for yourself. Florida climate tends wreck a good bread crust so check out the website for some tips on keeping it crispy and fresh.

Chick-fil-A is BAE. Honestly, can I take it home and cuddle with it at night? Forget all those fancy restaurants you go to on a Friday night...nothing will satisfy you quite like Chick-fil-A. The staff is ALWAYS SO FRIENDLY. Like why are you so happy? Can I get some of those happy pills too? It's probably because they're smelling that chicken all day everyday. I've never been inside as I'm a drive through kind of gal but the service is so incredibly fast. I mean, there are lines wrapped around the entire parking lot sometimes and they still get your food out hot and ready within minutes! I don't even need to mention how amazing the food is because everyone already knows but I will say that this particular location has bigger portions of chicken in the sandwich and the fries are always fresh when you swing around to get your order. Put some polynesian, ranch, and buffalo sauce all over your sandwich and you won't be sorry. Also, the fountain Coke at Chick-fil-A is better than anywhere else. Is it weird that I'll only drink Coke from Chick-fil-A and nowhere else? Whatevs. Tastes amazeballs. Okay cutting this review short so I can head over there right now.
Clean, fast, and friendly. It's your standard Chick-fil-A, but nicer and much more put together. Courteous staff, hot fresh food, excellent bathrooms, and a gigantic parking lot. Plus, as I was here a customer was very rude and loud with a cashier named Lauren (according to my receipt) and she kept it together and didn't get angry and stayed professional. All around great place, as usual for a Chick-fil-A.
LOVE, love, love this restaurant. It's always clean, the cashiers are super-friendly, and they're fast even when they're at their busiest. I love going there for lunch and just letting my daughter run around their play area and wear herself out, while meeting new friends. We actually had her b-day party here because our original plans got rained out. Not only did they help us secure enough tables for our group, they brought out the cow mascot, which every single kid who came was just ecstatic. They made my little girl very happy and she's already demanded to go there for her b-day next year.

By far, my favorite Chipotle experiences have been here. I've been to numerous Chipotle's in the Orlando area, and this one has all the others beat. Every time I come in, the food smells so fresh. Yes, I can SMELL the food, which makes me so happy. The staff is so incredibly nice, and deals with my ridiculous requests with a smile. I've placed an order for pickup once, and was actually surprised that it was still hot and fresh when I got it. I only ever come to this Chipotle. Definitely recommend.
Chipotle's is always on point, except for the few times where they have run out of something (like guac!). I'm not a vegetarian, but almost always order their vegetarian salad or burrito bowl just because it's the best tasting thing to me. I've tried all of their meat products, and while OK, the vegetarian meals just taste better to me. Employees are always nice and accomodate whatever I want in my order. We often order online for pick up and our order is always ready on time. Love the fact that we don't have to wait in line to pick up the order.
Everything is so fresh and amazing, never a let down! Sofrito bowl, fajita veggies and all the goodies! Heaven!

If you're looking for a quiet night and some good food, this is the spot. Family owned restaurant that's been around for years. They take pride in their ingredients and food and really want you to enjoy yourself. It is a different culture and the service isn't what you'd normally get but they truly care about your experience at the end of the day.
Our experience was pretty nice here. My husband and I called ahead because we weren't sure of their hours (and it ended up being a late saturday dinner around 9:45). They said they were open for about another hour and we decided to give this place a try! I was a bit doubtful of the quality of the food at first when we walked in because of the zero people on a Saturday night (though it was really late) & a little comment made by the owner/server. He said "if you had made it for the buffet which is Friday & Sat from 6-9:30pm you would have had better food". I was left thinking to myself...are we getting second rate food now the buffet is over? I came to understand that by better food he was probably meaning more food for your dollar. The buffet is about $17 or $18 per person, and a regular dinner dish is about $14-$18 per person. I also personally found the owner's attitude to be a bit to the point and presumed most would read his demeanor as cock y (especially from reading previous comments), but again I believe it was a cultural thing- because service was great nonetheless. He was just really assertive about his food and extremely confident that theirs is the best around- as he proceeded to tell us that a millionaire who travels all over the world looking for the best hummus always ends up coming to Aladdins for the reigning chickpeas :) I must admit, the hummus did live up to his hype. It was VERY good. My husband was clearing the bowl and he normally hates hummus. As I remained open to the experience, I actual came to enjoy this forward, yet kind owner. My husband and I just really got the feeling that this food and the restaurant is his pride and joy-his baby. I ordered the vegetarian platter and the food was delicious and fresh. Lovely salad, great hummus, I enjoyed the spinach pie (with touches of grapeleaves in there I believe), and adventured with my palate to the other creamy-like sauce to the right of my platter (tabouleh?? Can't remembef if that's it). The second sauce was a bit strong for my palate. My husbands meat platter included lamb, chicken, and a few other tasty choices of meat. He wanted to try quail, but they didn't have any until Tuesday they said. I found the food fresh and authentic. The meat, for 9:45/10pm was flavorful and absolutely satisfying. I felt very full after the hummus app, the salad they serve, and the veggie platter- lots to take home. He didn't charge us for the appetizer at the end of the night- a discount of $6, & gave us some freshly baked falafel to take home with our left overs free of charge! That really made our night! We will be back to attempt the buffet one Saturday from now!
Absolutely by far one of the best places to go. The food was amazing and service was great. Can't wait to go back again. My sister is vegetarian so I always follow her lead. She picks the best places to eat... Even better I work a block away from here.

If you are craving an authentic NY style pizza then this is the place to go. As well as the pizza being great, the service is fast & friendly & the prices are reasonable. We started with the garlic rolls which had the perfect crispy exterior and were drenched in garlic, herbs & olive oil. The pizza came out piping hot & the slices are huge! It had the perfect amount of sauce & gooey cheese with an adequate amount of toppings. The crust was the perfect thickness, not too thin & not too thick with a chewy interior & crisp bottom. For dessert we split a cannoli. The cream was creamy & thick with the perfect amount of sweetness. A delicious ending to a truly satisfying meal.
Awesome pizza at reasonable prices. This is generally my go-to for a Friday night pie on my way home from the office. Though I have always ordered early in the evening, they are always quick. The staff has always been very friendly and I have not had a bad pizza from here. They also have a small dining room with about 10 booths. They offer a 2 slice with a drink lunch combo for $5.00 or so which is great if your craving pizza during the lunch hour. New York pizza is highly recommended... reasonable prices, friendly staff, and great pizza.
We have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years. It is hands down our favorite pizzeria around. The employees are always nice and friendly (a few of them always take the time to have a conversation with us). When we lived in the area, we wouldn't even have to place the order. They'd see our number or our faces and they would start making our food without questions (18" cheese pizza and garlic bread with cheese). It was awesome. The food is delicious. The pizza is fantastic, a light sauce and thin crust, and the perfect cheese. The garlic bread with cheese is also phenomenal. Aside from those two things, we have also tried their chicken parmesan (both sub and pasta meal), the calzones, and their salads. Everything amazing. The location itself is a bit small, but I've never had an issue getting a table, and I've never had to wait very long. Whether I'm living 5 minutes away (as I used to), or living 30 minutes away (as I do now), I make sure to come here as often as possible.

The food was good and the service was fast. Everyone was nice but the young female cashier was rather dour. I had the Cuban, a coffee, potato ball and chic croq. All memorable. I'd go back.
Absolutely amazing. From start to finish the meal was on point. Many options and everything we had as a group perfect. The yuca was cooked just right. The Cuban was memorable.
I had the special steak sandwich with sweet plantains. Very delicious, friendly staff. I will have the ham sandwich next time. I looked really good too.

Bagel King, one of the few amazing bagel places in all of the Orlando area. Every day I had class, I'd stop by here for an early brunch/late breakfast. My server always knew me by my name, and he was so sweet! I can't remember his name for the life of me, but he was one of the best servers I've ever encountered. Not only is the service excellent, but the foods even better. I've never had such a perfectly toasted bagel with perfectly smooth cream-cheese and such fresh nova/lox. On top of that, the home-fries are spectacular. It's pretty quiet here at 9/10AM, and far beats any other breakfast place. The prices are reasonable, and it's a great place, whether your 16 or 60. Welcoming environment and a true N.Y. style deli. Every time I come back to visit my boyfriend's family, I always have to stop here. Bagel King, come to Boca Raton, I need you back in my life!
Wow what a disappointment. Their two gluten free options are two "sandwiches" WITHOUT THE BREAD. They charge you eight dillars to dump a bunch of meat, cheese, etc onto your plate like you're an animal. Would it be so hard to throw some gf bread in the freezer? Its pre-sliced and will sit in the freezer forever, just take out two slices, stick into the toaster for a minute, and you have an actual gf sandwich. To be fair, there are also two crouton-less salad options. They are pretty good.
FINALLY made it to Bagel King. YAAAAAAAAS. For someone who loves bagels it has taken me way too long to try this bagel heaven. 2 years and I'm just now eating here. What have I been doing with my life? Local hotspot for sure as it can be very busy on weekends so be patient and kind. Bagels are fresh in house or to go with many flavors, spreads, and toppings to customize your bagel. What I really loved about this place is that they also serve lots of tasty non bagel foods for my sometimes health conscious mister. I'm all about the bagel but he wanted an omlet. Win win, ya'll! They have all sorts of breakfast staples including french toast that looked oh so sweet or pancakes if you're like me and not an egg eater. The price was very reasonable and put a smile on my guy's face when he saw the total. I'm a cheap bagel date at just under $3 for my meal. Hope to come back very soon!

The food is authentic and genuine. The owner is a career scuba diver, and you can tell his profession has greatly influenced the quality of his food. He seasons, and marinates his ceviche to perfection. Additionally, he's extremely friendly. He serves other food besides sea food, such as chicken, and sandwiches. These are good too, but the real uniqueness is to be found in the seafood. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something new, experience real 'home cooked' style food, and help support a great staff.
Absolutely delicious and my new favorite spot in the Orlandoland area. It's like sitting in a Peruvian family's living room enjoying their fabulous pulpo and ceviche. Don't miss an alfajor for dessert. YUM.
i must preface by admitting i am a rather picky eater- i'm not picky about what i eat as much as where i eat. i need ethnic, mom and pop, good attentive service and hopefully some care put into the food as its prepared. to me, thats not much to ask but it is hard to find. add to that being in an unfamiliar area and being a new non meat eater and you understand why i drove around from Park Ave to 436... over 20 minutes and 3 failed rest.'s already. we thought we found a cool Columbian place but it was closed. as i'm cursing, my friend saw the Peruvian Food sign next door. score, let's try. it was my kinda place, the smell was amazing and the main language spoken was not American. the menu had a few vegetarian choices but was very fish-centric. i asked why all the fish and got a very helpful tutorial on Peru and the culture of ceviche. i was a little leary of eating such a food in such a setting. the only other ceviche i've bought was at Esca. i did order some fish, though cooked- "Pescado a la Menier" grilled fish with rice and a side sald with some amazing onion relish on it. the fish was so simply cooked in lemon, butter and parsley- dare i say- PERFECT! the rice was made fresh . my freind got the "Papas Rellenos". he's a cook himself and was taken by the taste the raisins and calamata olive peices gave the meat stuffing. we devoured everything and swore that next time we will try the ceviche. they need a better sign, or one at all maybe. and of course this ain't fast food, me and my buddy waited awhile for the food but to say it was worth it was an understatement and the conversation with the owners, though stilted, was quite enjoyable. i wouldn't recomend if you're in a rush, go when you can relax and really enjoy your meal. the prices are great and quite a suprise for such a dish as ceviche, i never mind paying more for freshness but there is no unfair trade off here. you can totally taste the care and the culture- its the ideal of home cooking, albeit far from anything in my childhood home but thats the point of good ethnic food.

My favorite place for comfort food. Great diner-style food! Everything I've ever ordered has been wonderful, large portions. Servers are very friendly and make you feel like they are welcoming you into their home for a meal.
This is the kind of place I have been looking for since leaving Pennsylvania and moving to Orlando. It really has a hometown feel and real homemade fresh food, just the things I want in a diner. The vegetable beef soup i got before my lasagna was the best veg beef soup i have ever had, it was robust and full of flavor with tender beef and lots of veggies! And not to mention served very HOT (@Aaron H.) The lasagna was also very good with a mild red meat sauce and filled with the right amount of cheeses (also served at a very consistent hot temp.) I have been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. The perfect place for a quiet, quaint, and delicious meal.
Not as good as it used to be seems dirtier and the service & food quality is on the decline. Sad, used to be a favorite.
