Every time I go into the Riverview Water Trap I have a great time. Sixteen years ago was the 1st time I set foot in this tavern and have since never been disappointed. The bartenders are always friendly and fast. When walking in this establishment you are greeted promptly. They now have more food too. I had a basket that had cheese curds and other great nibbles that was priced right. The owners are always having an event of some sort. Packer games, Brewer outing, Halloween party, '60 party and such. The interior is a bit like a tiki hut. Nice. Try it out today.

Super friendly staff (the owners?). They happily made my coffee exactly the way I want it. The croissant was also good although a bit on the "crispy side".
A tiny cafe and laundry combo that makes a respectable breakfast wrap and pretty spectacular coffee. They roast the beans in-house, and put obvious care into all that they prepare. Cute interior, home-baked pastries, what's not to like? This mom-n-pop (or mom-n-son) operation is exactly what a lazy Sunday desires - quality and quiet.
Fantastic place!! They roast their own coffee and can do pretty cool latte art. The family that runs it are super personable and very friendly Would definitely recommend for great espresso! If you in the area you have to go to this place!

You know how, when you get a McDonalds cheeseburger, on the first bite you think "hey, this is pretty tasty!"; on the second bite you're not so sure, and by the third bite you realize you've made a huge mistake? Zweigs' cheeseburger is like having the first bite all the way through, except fresher and more flavourful - i.e. the ideal diner cheeseburger. Highly recommended.
Everything I had here was great, they burgers, breakfast, Swiss steak, everything !!!!!!!!!! A must try spot & tha service was great one of my favorite in town.....
Zwieg's grill manages to pull of the old fashioned diner feel really well. Between having a food counter and a rather small dining room, the waitstaff they do have manages to make your visit extraordinary. Often times, there is one person working the whole restaurant, taking care of serving, taking orders and running the cash register all while catching up on the lives of the locals. Low prices and high quality of food make Zwieg's grill a worth while stop, if you're in the area.

Amazing coffee!! Have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered there, coffee or otherwise. Also, they have free wifi. As a teacher, it's a great place to go do some grading. Clean. Order the Carmeliscious! Only thing I'd change is that I wish the kitchen was open Sundays!
So, 4 stars from someone who doesn't even drink coffee? Yep, and that is the only reason I didn't give 5! Personally, I love Highlander Grogg, or rather, the SMELL of Highlander Grogg. Whenever my husband brews a pot, I linger in the kitchen just a little bit longer. This place is like that. I'm sure the aroma inside is a mixture of all their coffees and, damn, does it smell good! You can and will find flavors here that you didn't know existed: chocolate chip cookie and turtle sundae are just two. Oh, they sell packets of hot chocolate here also, and there is a cafe that sells decent sandwiches, but you come here for the coffee. They offer a free coffee "class" every month that requires reservations, and the gift shop sells sample sized packets of coffee as well as full sized bags. It also offers coffee makers, french presses, mugs and coffee scented candles. The newest offering was Highlander Grogg flavored fudge made by a local candy shoppe. If you love coffee and like to try new flavors, Berres Brothers makes for an interesting stop. If you find that you don't care for it, then hit up Johnson Creek outlet mall, just down the road! 13/2014/16
Good coffee, OK food My daughter and I dropped by for a quick lunch during a recent soccer tourney in Watertown. While a step up from fast food fare, I was a little disappointed in the quality of the food. We started things off with a cinnamon roll. The rich cream cheese frosting had a hint of cinnamon and was a hit with my daughter. But the roll was dry and lacked the buttery richness of a great cinnamon roll. The most telling sign about the quality of the roll was after we finished eating the frosting, neither of us finiushed the roll. The Reubenesque sandwich I ordered suffered from from a number of flaws. * The proportion of ingredients was off. There was far too much slaw and too little meat. The taste of the slaw dominated the sandwich instead of the pastrami which was disappointing. * The other flavor that dominated the sandwich was mustard, which seemed out of place in a Reuben sandwich. * Due to the thick layer of slaw, the interior of the sandwich was only slightly warm and the Swiss cheese did not melt, so the texture of the sandwich was off. * The substitution of the under-seasoned slaw for the sauerkraut did not improve the sandwich. Probably best to stick to the classic preparation. The sandwich came with a choice of side and I selected the sweet potato fires which were crisp, hot and delicious. They deserved a better dipping sauce than the Sysco ketchup packets in the condiment area. Both my daughter and I were impressed with the quality of the grilled cheese sandwich. The crunchy exterior of the sandwich provided a nice textural contrast to the melted cheese interior. I appreciated that sliced apples were offered as one of the options as a side. And the sandwich was a good value at $3.95. The other thing I appreciated was the great selection of coffee. There were numerous carafes of coffee to chose from in the cafe area, allowing me to sample some new flavors. The salted caramel coffee was the hands down winner for me on this visit. While I was glad to have the cafe was an alternative to the local fast food options, I'm probably not going out of my way from a return visit.

I'd like to start out by saying, this place IS in Watertown. Which is not a small town, by any means, but I was impressed the they had a such restaurant. I've also had sushi other places, in larger cities, so maybe this isn't fair, but I found their sushi mostly just ok, if not "meh". The service was great and our waitress was attentive. The prices seemed reasonable. I got a veggie roll and a peanut avocado roll (which, as it turned out, was just roughly chopped peanuts with avocado, rolled up), as well as a miso soup, which was pretty decent, and a salad, which was, well, what you would expect of most sushi restaurants (watery iceberg lettuce, a few shreds of carrots, one slice of cucumber, and some weird creamy dressing. My sister got the bento box. They were very accommodating with her, as she's vegan, and made substitutions without question. Let's be clear. The waitress asked her if MSG was okay in her food. So yeah, they use MSG. That would be good to know. That being said, I realize it's an asian restaurant, but I have yet to see one outright using MSG. The food was so-so, the prices were decent. I wouldn't return.
A total surprise in Watertown, this place is good! I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and an avocado peanut roll, and both were fresh-tasting and nicely portioned. My boyfriend ordered the beef fried rice, which he said was just ok. They also have 4-5 Japanese beers on the menu, which was a cool addition to our meal. Reasonably priced too - 2 beers, 2 rolls, fried rice, and a dessert for $30. Food ranks more like a 3 star place, but I give it 4 stars because of its location - it is virtually the only place to get decent Japanese food in the Watertown/Lake Mills/Jefferson area, which makes this an easy pick to fulfill your sushi craving.
Awesome food, wide variety of sushi rolls and excellent service, all at a good price. I try to go at least every other week just to try something new and I live 20 miles away.

A warm "rathskeller" with thick beams and high ceilings. Inexpensive cocktails are drunk in the bar under the gaze of large, mounted game animals. Unfortunately, I was unable to change our dinner party to Friday to sample their much praised fish fry. I enjoyed instead the stuffed shrimp swimming in butter. The crab meat was not at all fishy. The beef soup was tasty and only a bit salty. My dinner companions raved about the tenderness of their very thick prime rib- " you could could cut it with a butter knife." Our server was friendly, without being intrusive -very professional and efficient. Like many supper clubs in Wisconsin, the appetizers are slighted in favor of the entrees- buns and fries out of a bag, grocery-store-quality dips with cold raw veggies in midwinter, iceberg lettuce and one lonely piece of garlic bread. That withstanding, it is a "gemuetlich" place to take carnivores on a Saturday night in Watertown.
The food was so good. We found this place by accident on a shopping trip to Johnson Creek. Started out with a wonderful relish tray followed by soup and salad. The main course was fabulous. The prime rib was so delicious. Will definitely make a return trip.
Came back to the area for a class reunion and was longing for a Fish fry. Elias Inn did not disappoint. They have a good selection of local craft beers. The fish and chicken were lightly breaded, moist and tender. The side dishes were delicious and also served family style so no one left hungry. A stand out was the asian style cole slaw. Next time I come back to visit family, this place will be on the top of my list.

Great Mexican food. The chorizo is excellent. The proportion sides are big. Best place to eat in Watertown.
Buenas tardes my friends! So I'm a little tired of steak today.......so I decided on having some Mexican food. Yeah, I know I'm not in Los Angeles, or Texas, but Watertown, Wi. will have to do for my Mexican fix for now. Upon pulling out my phone & scanning for Mexican restaurants on Yelp, lucky I found a place close by my hotel called - El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant. El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant has 3 locations in Wisconsin........one in Watertown, a 2nd location in Lake Mills, and the 3rd location in Ft. Atkinson. Must be a pretty popular Mexican restaurant....... As I walked into the restaurant with my co-workers, I noticed the daily specials. For Monday, it was - "any kids under 12, eat for free". So when we walked in, I told the hostess - "Eh, I twelve years old!" Buwahahahahah! Yeah, I know I'm an old fart, and there is no way I was twelve, but at least it was worth a shot! Lol! The hostess just laughed at me........ :) Anyways, upon being seated, the waitress comes & brings us a large basket of complimentary chips & salsa. I must say, the chips were huge, light, & crispy. The salsa was good too! Upon ordering my dinner, I decided on eating something of the lighter fare since last night I ate like a squealing pig! For my meal tonight, I ordered my the Zefe Shrimp - which was basically Grilled shrimp cooked with tomatoes, onions and cilantro. It was served with some rice, and a salad. Not bad at all..........not too heavy, yet it was very flavorful! Can't be eating too many heavy meats everyday, & I also skipped out on dessert, as yesterday was total dessert overload! Service was fast & friendly! There is free parking in the private parking lot. Prices were very reasonable, what more can you ask for?
Great food and service. My favorite place in watertown. Always fresh and hot. Great flavor and quality.

I've had mixed experiences here the past 4 years I've lived in Watertown, WI. To start out, I love the atmosphere & cultural dynamic they've crafted coming from Minneapolis. The place is right on Main St. sort of a downtown, local-grown, cozy place to hang out. What I don't like is their spotty service. This is different every time I've gone there- a few times it's been really great but other times the exact opposite so I'll give you my worst experience. I frequented this coffee shop a lot my sophomore year in college and I always ordered the same thing (small coffee with room for cream). Once in a while I would get a refill but I never abused it and I frequently brought guests with me & left tips so I was definitely doing them a favor by giving them business. The lady that owns the place I think was working one day and I had been working on a term paper for about an hour- even before she had started working. I hadn't gotten any refills at all so I got up and asked for one, she looks at me and says, "this is really getting ridiculous, we're going to have to put a limit on this- how many times is this now four?!" I'm an introverted person so I was shocked when she said it but sort of angry too- I had been coming here all year and she knew me so I thought we we're sort of friendly acquaintances but I just said, "Sorry to bother, I don't need a refill." I threw the cup away & never went back there for 2 years. This last year I went there a couple times and they seemed to have gotten a little better but I still carry that experience with me & when people ask me about Tribeca I tell them it's a great little coffee shop with good coffee & a great atmosphere but I don't like the service. That's it. Fair. - but 90% of the time the people won't go there because people LIKE SERVICE. So should you go there? "It's a nice little coffee shop, with good coffee & great atmosphere but I don't like the service." Other coffee shops in the area I prefer: Connections Cafe (great coffee & laundry mat nearby), Berres Brothers (okay coffee, cool shop).
They serve good coffee in a relaxing setting. They sell book, gifts, etc., but I go there for the historic feel, free wifi, and comfortable atmosphere. Check it out on a Sunday afternoon!
Friendly, helpful, good food, good service and quaint, cozy, historic ambiance. Tribeca is everything I love in a coffeeshop.
