I've had mixed experiences here the past 4 years I've lived in Watertown, WI. To start out, I love the atmosphere & cultural dynamic they've crafted coming from Minneapolis. The place is right on Main St. sort of a downtown, local-grown, cozy place to hang out. What I don't like is their spotty service. This is different every time I've gone there- a few times it's been really great but other times the exact opposite so I'll give you my worst experience. I frequented this coffee shop a lot my sophomore year in college and I always ordered the same thing (small coffee with room for cream). Once in a while I would get a refill but I never abused it and I frequently brought guests with me & left tips so I was definitely doing them a favor by giving them business. The lady that owns the place I think was working one day and I had been working on a term paper for about an hour- even before she had started working. I hadn't gotten any refills at all so I got up and asked for one, she looks at me and says, "this is really getting ridiculous, we're going to have to put a limit on this- how many times is this now four?!" I'm an introverted person so I was shocked when she said it but sort of angry too- I had been coming here all year and she knew me so I thought we we're sort of friendly acquaintances but I just said, "Sorry to bother, I don't need a refill." I threw the cup away & never went back there for 2 years. This last year I went there a couple times and they seemed to have gotten a little better but I still carry that experience with me & when people ask me about Tribeca I tell them it's a great little coffee shop with good coffee & a great atmosphere but I don't like the service. That's it. Fair. - but 90% of the time the people won't go there because people LIKE SERVICE. So should you go there? "It's a nice little coffee shop, with good coffee & great atmosphere but I don't like the service." Other coffee shops in the area I prefer: Connections Cafe (great coffee & laundry mat nearby), Berres Brothers (okay coffee, cool shop).

They serve good coffee in a relaxing setting. They sell book, gifts, etc., but I go there for the historic feel, free wifi, and comfortable atmosphere. Check it out on a Sunday afternoon!

Friendly, helpful, good food, good service and quaint, cozy, historic ambiance. Tribeca is everything I love in a coffeeshop.

Sanctuary from the jungle that is downtown Watertown. Ok, maybe that's just a tad dramatic. =o) Still, a great place. Excellent coffee, good selection of books, especially historic books about Watertown. The staff is wonderful to reminisce with, as well. A great addition to downtown Watertown, I will be back.

Great coffee shop/bookstore in historic downtown Watertown. Lots of cool gifts and a good selection of new/used books. I had a latte that was on special and a small plate of hummus and crackers. Laid back staff and good music made for a quiet weekday afternoon while I surfed the free Wi-Fi.

I love coming to this store! It has amazing coffee and a surprisingly wide variety of books. It is definitely kid friendly, the second floor/balcony area is devoted to them. I love all of the knick knacks and jewelry available to browse through, it really adds to the experience. This is my favorite spot to visit when in town.

When I came into TriBeCa two different people said hello to me. It created a nice atmosphere and I felt very welcome. That changed quickly when I went to order my coffee. I'm from out of town so this was my first time. The woman who took my order said she was the "manager" but the way she acted wasn't manager like at all. She spoke to you as if she hated being there. It was sarcastic and rude. And the way she treated the other girl behind the counter was even worse. She asked a question for her manager and was told she knew the answer. Isn't that what a manager is for? To provide the answers to the employees who don't know the answer to the questions? And as I was sitting on the second floor I could over hear the conversations between the two women. The manager was telling her how disappointed she was in her for something. I don't know the whole story but everyone in TriBeCa knew she was being scolded for something. Personally I like my coffee shops nice and quiet, but when you have a manager bickering with her employment that's no longer a friendly environment for me.

I was in Watertown in early June for a baseball tournament, and found this place while killing time between games. Spent an hour browsing books and drinking coffee. Allison was great - suggested a yummy coffee drink and gave me great recommendations on books for my teenaged boys. If I lived closer I would be here all the time! Great atmosphere. Quaint old book store, which is very hard to find these days. Wonderful and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit!

I could spend hours in Tribecca. It's so calming, cute and kitschy. Coffee drinks are amazing! And they always have Brie on the menu. Don't forget about the staff, so nice!! I'm going to put down my kindle and get my butt in there more!!
