One of those places I've driven by many times, only to forget about it moments later. I'm very pleased I remembered it when we were planning our evening. I was in a mood for ribs, but saw they were "falling off the bone tender". I know most folks prefer them that way. But I prefer them a bit on the chewy side. Close enough. Good quality meat, not real fatty, but a bit heavy on the salt. Excellent sauce, as well. It came with soup or salad, choice of several types of potato dishes. Fries, mashed, baked,... Service was pleasant and knowledgeable. I would say a return trip is going to happen.

Really good fish fry! We were very happy with the portion size and the batter on the fish. The pancakes were ok, not something any of us would order again. The coleslaw was more of a non mayo dry slaw, I ended up mixing my tarter sauce in it for flavor. The rye rolls are very different, the salt on top is kind of off putting. The place was fairly busy, our party of 4 only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Service was so so but it was understandable for 6:30 on a Friday night. We will definitely come back again for the fish!

We've wanted to go to this restaurant since the Journal featured Tower in March 2015. Although there were no tablecloths as mentioned in the article (we went on a Saturday night) the food and service was exceptional. My husband and I both had steak, and my mom had the pork chop special. The banana cream pie was enough for 3 people. I wish pickles would have been included with the relish tray, but ah, how wonderful to have a restaurant serve a relish tray! Can't wait to go back again.

Have passed this place many times, and after waiting for 20 minutes at Cucina Italiana in Brookfield Square, we left and came here. Coming from Texas which knows ribs (smoked meat), I had the impression that the Wednesday night special was the kind made in the North in a Nesco roaster. Therefore we passed and had a prime rib sandwich with trimmings and Blue Cheese potato salad. This was an excellent choice for $8.95. Having had a terrible prime rib sandwich (thin slices of fatty beef on white bread) at the Butler Inn recently, and vowing never to return, I have to say that this offering was excellent and well worth the money. We highly recommend it, and we will return to try some of the other specials or order from the menu.

We went on a busy Friday night. The service was slow but the food was well worth it. Their Milwaukee Fish Fry is plump, juicy Cod with your choice of 2 or 3 filets and you can add a filet for $2 a piece so your portion sizes are adjustable. What really keeps me coming back is their New England Clam Chowder which was loaded with clams not potatoes like many places. Definately check that out!

I have gone to the Tower a few times for drinks with friends, and have eaten a few of those times as well. I have never sat down to eat in the restaurant, but have enjoyed each time I ate at the bar. The bartenders have always been friendly. The food has always been tasty and satisfying. And I agree with a few other posts about that Cheeto chicken sandwich - its a must have!

The ribs on Wednesday are amazing and the meatloaf sandwich is all my boyfriend can talk about ;) the service is sub par at best but the fun atmosphere (mix between a dive bar and a try to be cool restaurant) is entertaining enough to allow me to look over the waitresses who are less than attentive and professional.

This place has horrible service and not so tasty food. I took my mother here for fish fry and I was embarrassed! Her sprite had something black floating in it and when I went to ask for a refund the manager was rude and was unapologetic she made me feel like it was my fault. Will never return again

Love The Tower! Amazing food and the atmosphere is wonderful. We love to sit in the coves...it makes dining intimate. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. By far the best item on the menu is the meatloaf sandwich. I dream about that beer gravy. Amazing. Another menu item of note is the Cheeto chicken sandwich served on the Canfora bun. So good. Keep up the great work and we'll keep returning.

Don't waste your time, so we arrived and it was kinda busy and had to wait, unbeatable, when we got seated we had to wait another fifteen minutes to get someone to acknowledge us, they said that the hostess is new and set to many tables in her section, well ok I looked past it then the food comes and the breading on our fish is soggy and under cooked all in all not please with this place and it wasn't my first time here also the process ate kinda high for the account you get

Offers unusual fare (the cheetos chicken sandwich) and fish fries 7 days a week. I ordered the baked cod and it was done to perfection. Served with potato pancakes, applesauce and a side of steamed veggies. However, a restaurant is not ranked on its unusual, tasty fare nor decent prices alone. Halfway through our "all you can eat ribs" Wednesday, the waitress finally brought our appetizer of haystack onion rings. We requested them before the meal, not during. Why didn't they bring them when requested? They forgot. I'll forget to patronize them again, thanks to the inept service. Even though they get kudos for unusual, tasty fare, this place deserves no more than 2 stars, based on its inept, patronizing service. Just say you don't have a requested diet beverage, don't stare at me with no response. And never call me "dear" nor "honey." I'm not the only person who finds offense with those titles. Above all, remember appetizers are meant to be served prior to the main dish, not half-way through it.

Went for drink and dinner with friends. The bartander totally ignored us, even though there was only 1 other group at the bar at the time. We waited for a long time by the hostess stand, but when nobody came to help us (again the bartender must have seen us standing there) we got our own menus to look at while we were waiting for one friend to arrive. We were seated at our table and placed our order. We told our waitress we wanted to keep 1 menu, because 1 more person was coming. She ended up taking all of the menus, so that when our friend did come, we had to wait quite awhile to get a menu. There were probably only 3 or 4 other tables, but yet it seemed that we never saw our waitress. My meatloaf was good, but cold. Somebody else wanted to order a fish dish but was told that was only served on Fridays. It would have been nice if it had said that on the menu. One friend ordered a burger well done, and it was clearly done rare to medium rare. When we finally saw our waitress and told her about it, she told us she would have it taken off our bill and have the manager talk to us. He may have saved half the cost of that burger, but he ended up losing a lot of future business from our group. The manager did come and talk to us, but he wasn't going to take it off our bill, until my friend told him we were already told it would be taken off. She then told him about other problems we had with our service. In the end I think he took off half the cost of the burger. To me the way it is decorated you can tell if they are trying to be a "classy" place or a very casual place. All in all because of the poor customer service and only so-so food I don't think any of us will be coming back.

It's a darn good thing I forgot to submit my thoughts on our first experience at this establishment when we tried them for Mother's Day last year :( we happened to be ravenous after the Badger's bittersweet loss at the Rose Bowl and thought to try this restaurant again. I was/am pleasantly surprised to say that they've improved their service, their food AND their atmosphere :D We were seated at a very nice, semi - private corner table which allowed for great conversation that I didn't have to censor. Our server was very quick to greet us. I spared her the horror story of my first experience so as not to rattle her. She was most knowledgeable in guiding us through the wine and dinner menu. She checked on us, but not so much as to hover over us and always made pleasant conversation. I had the pleasure of fabulous company, great food (I ordered the rib eye, cooked to my request; my guest had the pasta) and a very nice AMERICAN bottle of red wine - don't ask me the name of it - cuz we finished it and topped it off with cognacs at the bar - all I remember is that it was goooood! I daresay that I hope to see Tower Restaurant increases its presence in Greenfield :) I am returning soon to speak with them about so many opportunities that they can take part in!

I appreciate the response and the offer but I will pass on returning. I stand my by review. I have no reason to fabricate times or my experience. I tend to take notes when things are going so bad so I have accurate account of the info to review, times like this I can hardly believe it is happening so I don't want to exaggerate any part of the experience. I ordered the shrimp because I wanted them, I had no reason to say it wasn't right unless it wasn't. I one I tried was bad, don't know about the other two on the plate since I did not try them. Stating we were out and done with our meals within 45 minutes is a total fabrication. We did not have our meals after 45 minutes waiting so there was absolutely no way we were out in 45 minutes. Joseph's response as his comments that evening imply I am lying and I have no reason to do so. Bad experiences happen and not great reviews happen. To say I am lying to save face is not the way to handle it.

All you can eat ribs Wednesday night, $16. They seem to have some sort of dinner special every night of the week, most of them all you can eat. The service was really good. The owner/manager was by our table 2-3 times during our meal making sure everything was good. Even saw him run across the restaurant at one point to get something for a patron. I can't say the atmosphere was all that great. Kind of reminds me of a nursing home. Jazz it up a bit and they would have a pretty great place. Very large, and would be good for big groups.

Now mind you I did get carryout because I was too tired to go out and eat so take this as such. I do eat a lot of of take away food though so I am kind of an aficionado of it. Tower is close to my house, very close in fact so it seemed easy to get it and go. In fact it was the food was ready quickly for my long suffering guy to pick up. I had the meatloaf dinner it was good in fact it could have been great had they remembered to give me the gravy on the side I asked for twice when ordering.I do have to say I do not know what they gave me exactly for blue cheese dressing it looked like old blue cheese all dried out and a blob of sour cream for my salad, so I just used dressing from home. My guy had the cod fish fry, I tried it and the fish was well cooked and the breading was crisp and not to heavy and the rye rolls were lovely I mooched his. I tried to have the banana pie which sounded so good but they were out at 5 pm odd... So I had ordered the strawberry Sharma torte and all it was is frozen, sour, old berries In ice cream, not what was advertized at all, shoved in a carry out soup cup with a broken lid. Overall it was alright, but what was disappointing was that it could have been great. Most of all sad they could not get carryout right when we are not picky people.

We tried to think that the poor reviews weren't "real" or possibly exaggerated. They weren't, they were dead on for our experience! Shame on you guys. 45 minutes to wait for sandwiches and one salad. The rest of our party had the buffet. The buffet people couldn't wait any longer and by the time we got our food they were finished. I had hoped that the manager's reply to Gina's review would make a difference because I thought it was thoughtfully written and therefore assumed changes were implemented. 45 plus minutes to wait for items that would take no longer than 12 minutes to prepare is unacceptable. Items were also prepared not in accordance to the descriptions....there was no buffalo mozzarella on my Caprese sandwich (regular mozz was used) and the pulled pork sandwich was smothered in BBQ, which my husband doesn't like, and missing the coleslaw - both not in accordance to menu description. The two stars are for the effort by staff to repair damage though in their attempt to appease us, we waited fully 10 more minutes after being told it was coming right out. Note to self, heed reviews of others!

Ok. So I realize that this place has taken some hits. Lot's of which are filtered so who knows if they're real. I like this place. It's clean, the patron's are nice, the food I've had is ok and reasonably priced. But the main reason I go here is for football games. They have a great special of $1 pints tap beer and .25 cent wings. And I don't mean just $1 miller lites. No my friends they had fat tire and Franziskaner available for the same price. Can we say steal? The lines are also clean so no worries there for me. They also have touchdown green and gold jello shots and the bar manager puts on a great raffle for most of the games. It gets pretty packed but there are many TV's. One complaint. The wings that are on special are meh. I should say the wings themselves are fine but the sauces, not so good. The BBQ was passable. I figured a way around that though, I just order plain wings and bring bottles of BW3's sauce with me. Best of both worlds. So if anyone from Tower is reading this, please try changing up the sauces a little bit. Everything is too sweet and not spicy. Hot should be fairly hot. Other than that, keep doing what you're doing.

Wife and I stopped in midweek for a sandwich. On a previous visit we sat in the bar, this time we decided to sit in dining room. Seated immediately, ordered shortly thereafter, we each ordered a chicken sandwich. Waitress seemed OK. Then more people began arriving, and she was gone. About 50 minutes later, as we were ready to walk out, sandwiches came. Table next to us was seated, told waitress they wanted a couple mins to decide on drinks- 20 mins later they were still waiting. Not sure what the deal is here, but this was the worst service I received in quite some time. A young guy in a tie walks around, possibly the mgr, but we couldn't get his attn. In their defense, the sandwiches were both very good and hot. But the service was awful. I'm used to the level of service at Diamond Jim's in Hales Corners- this is nowhere near that level.

When they were first remodeling this place I got a kick out of the fact that it is owned by Diamond Jim's. Yes....the same Diamond Jim's that sells used cars. Wasn't really sure what to expect, but I saw on their billboard that they had a fish fry. This past Friday when we were trying to decide where to go for a fish fry, figured why not try the Tower. It is fairly new and always seems to have a lot of cars there. I could tell from the parking lot that I was going to be the youngest person in the place by at least 40 years. And, after going in I wasn't too far off. Now, maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was going to dinner at 500pm, but I had plans after so had to make it an early dinner. It was pretty crowded inside, so I grabbed a blinky, vibrating thing and sat at the bar and had a beer. No more than 2 min later my little thing was going off and I was given a table. It was nicely lit and had fancy cloth table clothes and wind glasses for water. I was helped right away by a waitress who told me the specials. She told us she would give us some time to think about our order. No more than 5 min later the manager came over and took our order. Nothing fancy, just 2 fish fries with sweet potato fries (which I love) and potato pancakes. A few minutes later the waitress came back to take our order. We explained that the manager had just taken our order. She said he doesn't look like he has taken it back yet, so if it wasn't too difficult she would take it again. Almost immediately our food was on the table. It was pretty good. Nothing fancy or really outstanding about it. Just your typical Milwaukee Area fish fry. From the time I was approached by the waitress to the time I was done eating was no more than 20 mins. Definitely fast service. I would recommend it if you aren't looking for anything fancy. I will most likely be back, when I know I don't want anything out of the ordinary. BTW....there were no used cars for sale in the lot the day I was there!
