Old World Deli

Definitely a little hidden gem. The market is great to browse; you probably won't be able to read every label but that's the fun right? Lots of pickles, Polish beers and liquors, jams, cooking and baking mixes, etc. The fridge and freezer sections seem to be the best: whole smoked mackerel and trout for cheap, plus tons of frozen pierogi flavors. The deli looks awesome, though we didn't try much. The smoked sausages are definitely on my list to try (perhaps to fry up with some of those pierogies) and they were all about $5-$7/lb. We got a roast beef sandwich and it was awesome. A huge pile of freshly sliced meat, two slices of cheese, a bunch of lettuce, couple slices of tomato and a thick spread of mayo (or horseradish), all on a really tasty crusty roll. The sandwiches are basic but delicious. They're all $5.75, too. It's a more substantial sandwich than you get at any chain sub places, that's for sure. They close at 6 (or earlier on the weekends) so plan accordingly. Will for sure be back for more sandwiches!
I can only speak towards the deli sandwiches but it's a great deal at $5.75. A lot more meat and cheese than I was thinking would be in the sandwich. If this place was downtown Milwaukee there would be a line out the door at a few more dollars per sandwich. Definitely recommend.
I stopped in for a sandwich one day and a week later I was back, stocking up on Polish meats and cheeses. Just the description of this place to my 100% Polish father has him excited to visit when he's on this side of town next week. This place is the real deal. I've drove past this place a million times, but it's rather unassuming so I never stopped in. After a few good reviews I decided to check it out, and the very modest deli and small list of 6 different sandwiches were still unimpressive. But once I took the time to take a look around, my attitude slowly started to change. This place is authentic European. Good luck reading some of the labels in the small grocery part of the deli, because most of them are in Polish and German. I was seeking out some Polish horseradish my first trip out (hard to find outside of Polish deli's). They not only had some that was straight outta Warsaw, but they also had Polska mustard. Now my sandwiches at home are awesome. Speaking of Sammie's, that first trip I ordered what they call "The Turkey Journey". The man at the counter started pulling out deli meat, shaving it in front of me and building one of the best sandwiches I've had in this fair city. A soft, delicious bun, slathered with brown mustard, stacked with a generous amount of deli turkey, topped with Swiss cheese, lettuce that was still crisp and tomatoes that tasted fresh. Absolutely unbelievable. Don't Stop Believin' in the Turkey Journey, Faithfully accept this sandwich with Open Arms. The next weekend, the Wifey was in a "Build your own sandwich" mode, so I suggested we stopped here for meat, and we went crazy. I spotted some regular Polish ham in the middle of the case and asked for a pound. The kind lady said "you can have that, but it's kind of regular. We have other Polish hams over here". The minute I saw them, I was already sold but then she started serving up samples. We tried the hams and ended up with the Polish Gypsy Ham, which was incredible. She also started serving up samples of the Polish cheeses, and even though we had cheese in the house, we immediately bought more from here upon first taste. I bought some Kielbasa as well and boiled it up the next night with onion, mustard seed and peppercorns and it was unbelievable. The deli counter here is second to none. I rounded out the trip buying some European rolls and a Strawberry and Cream Cheese strudel. I'm not sure if their bakery is in house, but it seems to be fresh, to the point that if they were warmed a little I'd be convinced they were fresh out the oven. The strudel had a great consistency; the outside was perfectly flaky with hardening the the filling in the cracks of the dough on top. I was very surprised, I didn't see these strudels on the weekday I was here, but on the weekend they were on a small tray behind the register. If you manage to find these, don't pass up on them, you'll be hard pressed to find better strudels. This place is totally deserving of five stars.

Located inside Southridge Mall, this Starbucks is an interesting blend of kiosk and stand alone store in the middle of the mall. The drinks are always well made and the staff is friendly and helpful. They are always willing to bring my order out to me because the wheelchair accessible table is pretty far from the counter.
They have an amazing staff here! What an amazing customer service they have here. Made the best Java chip Frap!

Awesome place to go for a beer, food, relaxation and fun. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! You want a good time, Ray and dots is where it's at!
The place rocks! Lots of spirits & cheers. Great bar with a laid back atmosphere & plenty of entertainment options. I like playing darts or shooting pool here. The staff is always polite & attentive. Drinks are a deal! Most import beers are around $3 bucks. The majority of the menu items are fried. Although, they do offer sandwiches & excellent nachos. Weekend nights & Packer's games are the busiest of times. The old VFW post is a South side staple. Be sure to check it out.
I love this place! The bartenders are very friendly and the beers are very affordable! It is pretty laid back atmosphere, come as you are for sure. Liven up the night playing pool, darts, or your favorite song on the digi juke box. Their menu is packed with fired goodies and sandwiches at great prices! I'm coming back for sure!

Ricardo’s Pizza

Reviews:
Great pizza, excellent wings! The only problem I have with this place is the pricing. It is way way overpriced, especially the pizza. I would highly recommend the wings when they have their wing special. The wings are covered in the right amount of sauce, cooked perfect so they're not dried out and best of all, they're nice and big! We will be back for the wings, but not for the pizza. We've found Rounding Third in Franklin to be our go to place for pizza. Nice Italian sausage even for this non-sausage lover and lots of cheese. Way better deal for the price, just not as much of a selection of toppings as Ricardo's. Ricardo's has great specialty pizzas, just be ready to pay more for it.
Favorite pizza in the Greendale/Franklin area so far, fresh ingredients and great sauce.. The cheese garlic bread is also a favorite.
This place is always busy, and for good reason. Ricardo's has the best garlic bread I've ever had. We've only ever tried the pizza's as our entree, because they're so good that we don't want to order anything else. It's a constant toss up, but I think my favorite is the white pizza. We've also been to their pizza bar on Monday's and that's great as well, since they keep it stocked with different pizzas as well as garlic bread the whole time. The prices are all fair, especially for what you receive. The servers we have encountered are attentive, polite and accommodating, though sometimes it does take a while for them to refill your drink. Our only wish was that they were open earlier on the weekends, as we'd love to stop in for lunch.

When it comes to fast food - Chick-fil-A is a favorite of mine. So happy to see one open in Greendale. The basic chicken sandwich is the way to go. #1. The other food is good too, but you can't beat the sandwich that made them as popular as they are. The service at this location was a bit slow after the grand opening, but it has gotten better and better each month. The service on my recent visits has been outstanding, fast, friendly, thorough, etc.
Always a good experience, good food and super clean store considering how many people roll through here.
This was my 1st time at a Chick-fil-A and I went because a friend suggested we go there for lunch. I ordered the 3 piece chicken strip meal. They brought our food to us at the table and one of the ladies who was walking around the tables even offered to refill our drinks for us so we didn't have to get up. They were very friendly and the food was awesome. The chicken strips were nice and crunchy on the outside yet the chicken was moist and juicy. I liked how I didn't have oil / grease on my fingers after eating the chicken either. I will more than likely return.

Best pizza best prices! Worth going out of your way for it. I only keep ordering pizza but would like to try a sandwich.. One of my favorite cheaply priced places to grab a pizza from!
I can now review this place. It has potential to be 4 to 5 stars. The first time here I got the pizza...we will get back to that. On my second visit I got the chicken parmigiana dinner. The good news is that the sauce for both items is GREAT! Hence, the 5 star potential. The garlic bread was quite dry, so room for improvement there. The WORST thing about the pizza is the crust. They may as well take a thin piece of drywall and put the toppings on and cook it. THIS IS THE WORST CRUST I HAVE HAD IN 25 years!! It's a shame as the toppings were very good! I'll keep checking back in case someone mentions a crust improvement, but certainly will NOT order pizza here again, but will get the chicken parmigiana or try something else.
I ordered pizza from here tonight and the whole pizza was all on one side of the box and the box was crushed . Maybe they should leave the kid at the store instead of bring him with. Can't say it was his fault just saying! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THE AGAIN! Very unhappy with them. If I wanted my pizza smashed I would have picked it up myself!

Good food & a great salad bar. They can be a bit on the slow side with the food, but you have a big salad bar and if you want to spend time with your other half, maybe....just talking, it's a great place to go!
I was very pleased when Ruby Tuesday decided to open a location so close to my house. They are a go-to place for my husband and I. The servers are very nice and do a great job of explaining the menu and specials to you. The first thing that will be brought to your table are garlic cheddar biscuits. They are absolutely delicious! For drinks ,they have $5 premium cocktails that you can get every day. I highly recommend the Long Island iced tea and the Mai Tai. They also have a great selection of beers, wines, and other cocktails. As far as their entrees go, there are many things to choose from. The burgers are very good. They also have steak, seafood, ribs, pasta, and chicken entrees. On our most recent visit, I had the New Orleans Seafood, which is Tilapia with Creole seasoning, topped with sauteed shrimp and Parmesan cream. It was absolutely wonderful. My husband got his usual: the Parmesan chicken pasta. It is a Parmesan crusted chicken breast served over penne pasta that has been tossed in a Parmesan cream sauce, then covered in a tomato-basil sauce and Swiss. I usually sample some from his plate :-) It is very tasty. I have had the Parmesan shrimp pasta in the past, which I also highly recommend. The shrimp in that dish has a bit of a kick to it, just as a warning. If you have any room for desert, I recommend the Double Chocolate Cake. It has a molten chocolate filling and is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and accented with a strawberry sauce. Oh! And if you sign up for their So Connected email club, you will get great coupons sent to your email.
We have been here several times, it is your typical corporate style dining experience. They do have an email list which will send you coupons for buy one get one 50% off entree. They also boast a salad bar that you can add to your meal for $1.99.

Ferch’s Malt Shoppe & Grille

5636 Broad St
Greendale, 53129
Reviews:
On a whim, we stopped here for lunch, and I'm glad we did. We'd actually parked in one establishment's lot facing Ferch's, and decided to walk across the street. I had the California turkey breast wrap, which was in a flavored soft tortilla, which was done in a Panini press. So it was a treat for the eyes, as well. Quite tasty, so the taste buds were as happy as the eyeballs. Fries were pretty good, too. But just because it's an ice cream parlor doesn't mean you should buy any packaged stuff to take home. It was the most expensive ice cream or custard I'd ever purchased. They apparently don't sell much packaged stuff, as they didn't even have quart containers. We wound up with 4 pints for almost $17. I usually pay between $8-$12 for a half gallon. I'd go again, I just wouldn't bring anything home.
Meh, burgers were good. Malts were over priced and just below average. For a malt shop I would expect exceptional. Olde fashion soda was ok. The staff was friendly and the place clean. The men's room seat did not stay up, and I read that on another review. My impression is that the owners have given up. I would not recommend.
Wow. Great food and malts. I am really enjoying my bacon ranch wrap and my wife really likes her grilled cheese. The season fries are great as well. Staff is also very friendly.

I had a spinach, onion, mushroom and swiss cheese omelet topped with hollandaise sauce and tomatoes. It came with a side of multi grained nut pancakes. I enjoyed it.
Nice little diner type place. Wait staff seemed pretty nice. Menu favors breakfast food but they have all kinds of stuff from burgers to chicken to steak and shrimp. Has improved from years past. I stopped coming here years back because the service was horrible. I would give it another try now.
Save your money! I went here for the first time because I always drive past it and I was disappointed. Over priced with small portions. You're better off going to IHOP instead.
