I had a spinach, onion, mushroom and swiss cheese omelet topped with hollandaise sauce and tomatoes. It came with a side of multi grained nut pancakes. I enjoyed it.

Nice little diner type place. Wait staff seemed pretty nice. Menu favors breakfast food but they have all kinds of stuff from burgers to chicken to steak and shrimp. Has improved from years past. I stopped coming here years back because the service was horrible. I would give it another try now.

Save your money! I went here for the first time because I always drive past it and I was disappointed. Over priced with small portions. You're better off going to IHOP instead.

I enjoyed the food they had here. The French toast was great, though the regular breakfast items are just so so. Getting the usual sausage, eggs, hash and pancakes will do anyone just fine. If you really want something good that not a lot of places offer get the French toast and crepes. They have a wide variety them. Overall I enjoyed it, breakfast is always busy as usual so expect a full house if you come for breakfast.

This breakfast and lunch establishment has been around for some time now. It could have received a 5, but it is almost too cold to sit in there and both of our orders came out wrong. However, they were corrected in minutes. Very nice breakfast menu and nice array of lunch items. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They check on you often. Clean with nice seating. Will definitely return.

The Traditional Pancake House has been a staple in Greendale for many years now. While they are known for their breakfast food, they also have many other things to choose from, such as wraps, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, steak, and seafood. I am a huge fan of breakfast food, and the food here never disappoints me. On my last visit here, I tried one of the items from their breakfast specials menu, the chorizo breakfast burrito. The burrito is a simple one, but oh so good. It contains the chorizo meat, cheese and eggs. It is served with a side of hashbrowns. The service here is decent. The restaurant itself is a bit on the smaller side, and with as popular as this place is, you may have to wait for a table. But it's worth it.

I'm not really a breakfast person, but I crave the Traditional Pancake House often! Some of my favorite options include the raspberry blintzes, salmon benedict, and best of all - bananas foster french toast. I have never had a better breakfast than when I ordered that french toast!

Went here on a Sunday morning, looking for a change of pace. IHOP is pretty close by but I'm not thrilled with the service. Traditional Pancake House is... well dated would be one way to put it. Very cozy, small dining rooms with little room between tables let alone within the booth itself. Getting to the booth was a chore within itself as you have to pass by the expo line of the kitchen which is not very wide, especially when waitresses have their hands full of food. The ambiance is quite loud if you sit near the kitchen - when they clear the places they really do take little care to be gentle about it. A few times I swore it sounded like they broke plates. Service was pretty decent. We were greeted warmly at the front and our server was fairly attentive to our needs. She seemed to know the menu pretty well. Food was pretty good - about what I expected. I had a skillet - the eggs were a little bland but the sausage/bacon were full of flavor. Pancakes were very filling, seemed to have a lot of substance to them as opposed to some places I've been. The price for the food was pretty reasonable. Overall, I likely won't rush out to come here again. Though cheap, there are more comfy, up to date locations with a bit better food and service. Not terrible. Not great.

I go there all the time for its location and ok breakfast. Seating behind the cash register is cramp and crappy so ask to move if seated there. Food is decent and fit for the price. Although my bf doesn't like their hash brown at all. I like their sweet fruit crepes. Service is decent and acceptable. Quick seating for weekend late mornings.

Breakfast Is my favorite meal and today this was the spot. At just before 7:00 am you can sit anywhere. When you first walk in you notice how small the place is. The place looked clean and in good condition with dark furniture with light walls. The decor was going for country charm but doesn't work with all the dark furniture. Lots of stainless steel around the kitchen area. It seems like a nice neighborhood spot to eat at. My service was prompt and I was seated right away with menus and water on the way. I noticed every table had a coffee pot and water bottle so you will always have them and not wait for your server. The menu was mostly your regular items but one item caught my eye that I don't normally see, the breakfast sampler. I knew I would not finish it but I was going to order it. See the pictures. To my surprise and the 4 stars was the toast offerings, the three genetic options with one extra. When she said sour dough I was super stoked because I hate the generic three. The breakfast sampler was three eggs, ham, bacon, sausage links, hash browns with toast. The weird shape ham was good and was real after noticing a very miner piece of fat on the end, the fake ham doesn't have natural fat on it. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. The hash browns were lightly browned and good. The bacon was just how I like it, cooked well but not to a crunchy piece of protein. The sausage links looked like your average diner fare but to my surprise they were not mild like most and were a little peppier with a zestier bite. My surprise sour dough toast was buttered perfect and really stepped up the breakfast. I really liked my breakfast and thought this would be good for those that drink all night and need a good all American breakfast. This was a great find and I will eventually get back but I still like going to new places all the time. I know I was there early but my service and food were spot on.

This is by far the best breakfast joint, anywhere. I no longer live in Wisconsin, but when I'm in town I always stop in. It feels like every meal is catered specifically for you, rather than mass produced with little care as I find with corporate food chains. The booths are kept clean and the service is fast and friendly.

I have been coming here for 25 years. The food is always consistent, fast to the table and served in large portions. I have always come for breakfast so I cannot speak to their dinners. As for breakfast, I always order the biscuits, gravy, sausage and eggs. I can't find a better tasting breakfast in the city. The coffee is great and they'll leave a carafe right on your table. The owners are always onsite which is comforting to me to know. The space is a little tight (it used to to be an IHOP) and this place is hopping on a Sunday morning so you may have to wait, but the tables are turned quickly.

It's your standard short order restaurant. Nothing special about this place. It's very cramped on the inside. I hate to say it but this place is white trash central most of the time and if you enjoy that, then this is your place. Weekends from morning until afternoon they are swamped... Of course, there are only about 20 tables in this place. So it's all relative. If you do decide to visit this establishment, go on the weekdays, later on at night. The place is virtually empty during these times. Warning: The Mexican cooks may kiss, whistle and make comments at you from the kitchen if you have female parts.

Best breakfast in town. The raspberry blintzes are wonderful as well as the omlettes. Nice Friday fish fry also.

Stuffed French Toast was delicious and so were the pancakes! We chose this place because I was upset to find out that IHOP had removed the "Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity" from the menu (seriously what's up with that - I have been ordering that item since I was a kid, yet they removed it, so I won't be back!). Sometimes you just want that Sunday breakfast that your Mom or Grandma used to make, and this place reminded me of just that! The man sitting in another table within eye view ordered the "Breakfast Sampler" (Which looked yummy so I asked him what it was!) and then looked at the menu: Three eggs, two bacon strips, two sausage links, two ham strips with hash browns and two buttermilk pancakes, I kind of regret not ordering that, it looked like a lot of food, and he said it was awesome....Ahh there's always next time, we will be back! Pancakes, French Toast, Waffles, Meat Lovers' Breakfast...They seem to have it all, and it's a unique looking building with a parking lot. They are open from 6am-9pm, so if you ever want breakfast for lunch or dinner, (and who doesn't love breakfast for dinner once in a while), then the Traditional Pancake House is definitely worth checking out.

This is a regular breakfast stop for me and my sister when I'm in town and we want to go out for food. I usually get an omelette and I went with the build your own, adding bacon to the cheddar base. For my side I went with the pancakes. My sister got the stuffed French toast-cinnamon apple and it came with eggs and hash browns. The food is reasonably priced, service was quick, and everything tasted good.

We needed a place to have a business breakfast and we decided to go to this restaurant due to its location. Briefly: Décor/Environment - Cozy and warm...a little on the gloomy side...seating is limited and tight...in particular if you sit in the booths Service - Warm and to the point...not much elaboration or engagement Food - A-Ok...I had the sampler breakfast...yes, don't hate I needed the carbs for a late night run...had eggs, ham, bacon, potatoes, and pancakes - it was all very filling but nothing about it was beyond A-Ok. Price - Very fair...slightly above what I'm used to paying for breakfast..it ended up being about $11 dollars and that included a large OJ. Not bad at all...middle tier breakfast spot.

Yeah, well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Shortly after walking in, we realized that we walked in to a very low budget IHOP. The service was friendly right off the bat. We were put into a tiny, cramped little dining room. Our table was literally squished between two booths, and it was barely big enough for the two of us. Coffee and OJ was brought to our table right away - we got a whole carafe of coffee, and the OJ was in a little carafe of its own. (Bonus!). No waters were brought, but with the size of our table, that wasn't the worst thing. I decided to go with potato pancakes. Probably not the best option on the menu. They were pretty greasy and tiny - nothing like how they were pictured on the menu (which is what usually happens anywhere). I knew they weren't going to do it for me since the portion was so tiny, so I asked for a side of French Toast. It was ok, nothing to write home about. It also came with a gob of butter on top, which I scooped off and sent back with the waitress. Service was attentive, but the overall experience just wasn't my thing. My ears took a beating during our time there, since we were seated by the busboy's area. Every time a load of dirty dishes were dropped off, they were literally DROPPED - and an eardrum shattering explosion would shake us out of our seat each time. I know it's a busy time of day for them - but did they really have to THROW the dishes into the bin? What's wrong with quietly placing them in there? Sure enough, eventually a plate broke and the waitress wound up complaining about having to clean it up. The ladies bathroom definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I don't think I would come here again.

This is our go to breakfast spot in Milwaukee. They are always busy but they turn tables quickly. They have a good variety of omelets, crepes, pancakes, waffles and other breakfast goodies. Prices are reasonable. I love that they give you a carafe of OJ if you order it for breakfast, as well as a full pitcher of coffee! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The place is pretty small but its a great family atmosphere. Their food is also consistently good and hot.

Little small to be considered a good diner, I wasn't impressed by the menu or how crammed in the place is. Food is OK, but Id rather be at Dennys or George Webbs for the money sadly. Id just pass. Ive heard some bad things from people who used to work here, mostly staff issues, bickering in the dining room and kitchen and such. I do recall the cooks acting up as other posts mentioned but I just ignored it.

This is a small basic diner. They have something close to the old Big Boy burgers. Breakfast is the. Best choice. Could use a little updating. Good parking. I have never had to wait. If you are looking for more, keep looking. But basic menu, this is better than a lot of the places near Southridge.

3 of us went there for their Big Boy hamburger. The place was deserted at 4pm. Hostess sat us & said waitress would be right over. Same woman came back and said we were "stuck with" her. We ordered 2 iced teas & 1 soda. All 3 glasses were filled with more ice than liquid. Waitress offered another refill which was nice. But my brother finished his 2nd soda and asked for a 3 rd. She said only one refill allowed so he'd have to pay $1.89 for another. This kind of spoiled our impression of the place. Hamburgers were good and taste like the ones from the past at Big Boy. Fries were good and crispy with a tasty seasoning. Next time I might try their onion strings or sweet potato fries. If they put less ice and more soda in the glass ppl would not need to ask for more than 2 refills. Only one other table occupied while we were there but I heard they are busy in morning. Waitress checked on us frequently and apologized that she couldn't refill soda.
