Likely our new go-to Redmond restaurant. The good: staff is on top of it. The steaks are really good. Atmosphere is "correct". I was high maintenance (steak needed a little more grilling , my fault, waiter was good about it). Couple next to us had an issue with the fries, corrected quickly. The "room for improvement" (this is brand new after all): reservations please. Also the wine list is okay, needs a little flair. I'm comparing this place to Jak's, favorite place in the area. And they are good. Couple of tweaks and I can stay in Redmond more often and avoid the drive to Issaquah. Looking forward to having Prime nearby!

Came here for date night and really enjoyed it. This place is nicely decorated but not too stuffy; perfect blend of casual and class. The food was awesome and our desserts were excellent. Espresso creme brûlée and the flourless chocolate were pretty darn spectacular and a wonderful finale to a delicious meal. Kudos to the bartender for getting the drinks right; excellent grey goose martini. The service was awesome as well. We plan to be back!

I dined at Prime last Sunday for my birthday dinner with my family and some friends. We made a reservation beforehand, and as soon as we arrived the hostess was very kind and wished me happy birthday. The atmosphere of this place was wonderful. Our server James was very friendly and professional. The owners were very present and talked to every table, which added a lovely neighborhood feel to the place. The tables appeared to be wood and then painted black, but as I later discovered they actually charred the wood of every table and the bar. What a unique idea! If you look closely at the tables you can see the proof. Now onto the food. I had sauteed shrimp, and the tuna tar tare for appetizers. They were delicious and full of flavor. For dinner I had a prime cut tenderloin 12 oz.. I had it cooked rare, and it came perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and very tender. For dessert we had both the flour less chocolate cake, and banana bread pudding. For the cake being gluten free, I would have never guessed. And the banana bread pudding was SO GOOD! So long story short, this place is an amazing addition to Redmond, and I can't wait to go back!!

I've been twice now to the bar for a light meal. The steak salad is a great casual meal. My fiance had the sauteed prawns which she also liked. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. I think Prime can be a great happy hour option in Redmond.

I just dropped in for a week deserved lunch and found a more than pleasant bartender and a phenomenal stead salad. It was cooked prefect and the greens were fabulous. Now back to work just short of food coma...

Exactly what we needed. Great service, fantastic steakhouse menu, no atmosphere and casual feeling. This will be our spot!

Four of us arrived mid-happy hour and we were pleasantly surprised to see the place pretty full. We were seated right away. We loved the decor - modern and welcoming with brick and leather all over the place. We had excellent service. Our waiter James didn't miss a beat. We asked for split checks - no problem. We felt completely taken care of and valued. The food was great. I had the happy hour clams and a beer. Those clams... I talked about how good they were until I went to sleep. James happily brought me extra rolls so I could finish all the broth. For the happy hour portion, it was enough to be my complete meal. The rolls were a mild sourdough with herbs. Warm and soft with butter on the side. My husband had the standard burger, and thought it was on par with the burger bar across the street (tipsy cow). The fries, though a bit salty, were better at Prime. Another in our party ordered the oxtail risotto, which is usually made with tomatoes and peppers, but because they make it in-house from scratch, they were able to leave the tomatoes and peppers out. They also had a number of gluten free options available. She had a Moscow Mule, which was served in the traditional copper cup and was fantastically gingery (in the best way.) The final member of our party ordered a steak and thought it was great. The mashed potatoes on the side were excellent as well. We were all impressed and have plans to return.

Warm and Comfortable. Excellent food, drinks and service. Even the kid's Mac and cheese was even gourmet enough for me. Left satisfied :)

Kelley and I took our son there for his birthday dinner, the prime rib was the special and didn't seem to be too special. It appeared to be pan fried and not baked. Steak prices seem a bit too high for the quality we received. My experience has been that they won't make it unless they up their game to match prices.

I primarily go here for their great bar. Excellent selection and knowledgable bartenders. Kevin is literally a walking, talking cocktail encyclopedia. The bar food is outstanding. The burger is better than Tipsy Cow right across the street, and you can get pork belly braised in ginger, onions and white wine *as a burger topping*. During happy hour the basic burger is only $8. Totally awesome!

What a great new restaurant in Redmond. We went during happy hour and sampled most food items on the happy hour menu, plus the truffle burger. We were impressed with it all; the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service, everything. It's steakhouse faire with more than enough interesting wrinkles on the menu to keep us coming back. The calamari was outstanding as was the ahi tuna. My wife really enjoyed the French Onion soup. It is worth a visit just for the truffle burger, it was wonderful. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and aimed to please. We will definitely be returning, soon!

The roasted chicken stuffed with goat cheese and a slightly spicy tomato and spinach sauce with whipped potatoes is one of 5he best chicken dishes I have ever had! Brandon took care of us and did a terrific job. A great place for a sit down dinner!!

Really nice to see some quality restaurants begin to arrive in Redmond, and Prime is actually an excellent steakhouse. Very modern, upscale menu and interesting drinks. The happy hour is probably the best in Redmond or even Kirkland.

Not good. Save your money, save your time. Decor felt cheap, drinks were ok, our server was good but the food was like eating at Outback. And if you serve a burger on brioche, it's gonna be a big mess if you don't know what your doing. Not good.

Was really happy to see another steakhouse go in where the Cutlery used to be many years ago. Have been there both for dinner and lunch and both times exceeded my expectations. The bread and butter is highly addictive and can easily make a meal out of it but I surely couldn't stop there. Grabbed a steak sandwich for lunch with fries and left full and happy. Intimate little restaurant that is our new local favorite.

I have been waiting for a good steak restaurant to come to Redmond for a very long time. So when the Prime Steakhouse opened, I was so happy. My nephew and I went there on a Saturday evening. When we walked into the place, it wasn't busy at all - which made it great for us to get seating next to the window. When our waiter arrived at the table asked him who the owner of the restaurant was. He told me that one of the owners was from Jaks. Well, I jumped for joy because you can't get a better steak than you what you get at Jaks. We placed our order - appetizers, entre and drinks. It's a bit crazy that your starch is included in the price, but if you want a vegetable, it costs more. So, my nephew and I ordered the rib eye - the same one- because that's our favorite cut. Our appetizers arrived - they were ok - then after we had finished those - the waiter brought the bread and then the entre. When I took my first bite of the steak, I could not have been more disappointed. There was absolutely no flavor to it and it was very tough. I looked at my nephew and said "there is no way an owner from Jaks - owns this place." Then to top it off, when the bill came, it showed the price for my rib eye correctly but the price for my nephews was $60!!!! Unless they do something drastic to change the flavors in their steaks, we will never be back to this place. Jaks has been a favorite of ours for years and will remain the favorite steak restaurant of ours.

We were disappointed. There were people screaming in the bar. Not loud. Screaming. No effort to quiet them down the entire time we were there. The bathrooms were freezing, no heat at all. The steaks were severely under seasoned. Thin steaks are also very hard to get a sear on without over cooking, so there was no sear and they were underdone too. The peppercorn sauce was not good. Some off flavor, not sure what it was. The people who had the blue cheese sauce enjoyed it. Please cut lettuce. I want to eat my salad, not fight it. Trends are not always a good thing. The potatoes were good. The vegetable side dishes not so much. For over 200.00 a couple, we were disappointed. If the meal had been half that much maybe I would have liked it better. I was so hoping there was finally going to be a good steakhouse in Redmond, but this isn't it. Off to Issaquah...

I have been coming in here an average of 3 days a week. Sometimes 5. Amazing service. Food beyond reproach. I have had several of the steaks, always cooked perfectly. All the appetizers I've tried have been excellent. If you're not in the mood for a steak, the Pan Roasted Chicken is my next favorite item on the menu..... Oh, but then there is the Braised Oxtail Risotto.... oh my. The Old Redmond Manhattan is a nice twist on a classic.... Bourbon and Rye, Cointreau, Vermouth, Bitters, a shaving of an orange peel, all poured into a glass spritzed with Absinthe. Wow. Don't get me started on the Angel's Envy Rye Whiskey... Aged in rum casks.... You should come here.

Just ok. There is nothing special that will make me come back. I feel like the prices and quality are better at The Keg, and Sullivan's is better all around.

Awesome! They just updated their menu and it is very tasty. My wife had the 16 oz natural ribeye steak and I had the halibut and we were both very happy with our choices. The food was decisions and the service was exceptional. The bartender nailed the martini and the whisky slush special drink was creative and delicious. Definitely coming back!

The best damn 16oz Ribeye I've ever had in the Seattle/Bellevue metropolitan area. Thank you Heidi, behind the bar, for great service!! I'll be back!

We came here late SuperBowl eve. The bar was packed. I ordered the clams off the happy hour menu. They were quite good although a tad salty but very flavorful. It had a lot of soup so you have to order extra bread to sop out that goodness. They brought us a basket of bread and a small plate with a slice of the wood fired bread like how it came with the clams. The server made it a point to let us know that they normally charge for the wood fired bread but wouldn't that time. They charge I think 3.50 a single slice just to toast a piece of bread over essentially an indoor campfire. That was just a tad bit too pricey.

All it says on the building is Prime , like a hint or I should take their word on it. As without it you would not know its a good place ? A bit pompous for my taste , but so I put my initial indifference aside and gave it a try anyway. I went their during happy hour . Limited beer choices and the ones they have are not that exiting and a bit predictable . Their cocktail menus is a different story so. I tried one of their prime burgers . It was tasty and juicy , a bit impressed actually , except for the bun. The buns at McDonald's seemed less stale. It was bad enough that I would probably not order a burger from them again. Sad . I also tried their french soup , not impressed at all , a bit flat on flavor. Sad , as I like a good french soup. I did enjoy their Manhattan and Vodka Martini directly from their menu. I will probably go their again to give their steaks a whorl and try some of their other interesting sounding cocktails.

The dining room in this new Redmond Steakhouse has very bad acoustics, it was so loud we couldn't talk to one another without yelling. If there is a next time, I'll request a table in the bar. But that's not why I'm giving them a low rating. My rating is for their underwhelming steak, sand in the clams, and dirty dish water French onion soup. We were a party of 4 and tried several different entrees & sides, unfortunately none of them were very good. Certaily not worthy of the asking price. I hope with time they can improve because this the kind of restaurant Redmond desperately needs. Good luck to you Prime

I had high hopes, but our meals were not right and the staff took so long we just ended up leaving it all. They were not even busy. It was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. :(

This is a hidden gem in Redmond. Burger is on par with Tipsy Cow and fries are significantly better. Service by Drew was awesome! I will definitely be back and would highly recommend. This place is worth a visit.

I was super excited to see this great steak resturant in redmond area. I went with my family for dinner on the 5th day after opening this place. The Place was very dark and area was not large. Usually restaurants have crayons or something to color on for kids but this place had nothing so my kids were really bored. Servers were really nice to us. My wife ordered top sirloin and after 10 min was told since it a popular item it's all sold out. Then she decided to go with tenderloin and after 6 mins was told that they also ran out of this steak as well. She finally was forced to pick New York which she wasn't happy about it. I ordered porterhouse . I had mine BBQ medium rare and my wife medium well and we both thought it was under cook. For sides I had potato gratin and she had mashed potatoes which were ok. Overall experience wasn't bad since we went on the 5th day after the grand opening. I gave this Resturant 3.5 stars. I would come again after some time, once this place become more veteran. Parking was also conveniently located on the side.

Service and ambiance was good, so I give it two stars. Otherwise, it would get one. The food was Bland with a capital B. No seasoning whatsoever. The steak was tough and tasteless. For a high-end steak place at these prices, I was extremely disappointed. The mac and cheese was unoriginal and devoid of salt. The raw oysters had pieces of shells in them (a cardinal sin!). I've had better oysters at Hooters.

Although the service was good, the product was less than mediocre. I ordered a Prime NY Steak with "crunchy baby potatoes". I was served a NY vein steak and oily new potatoes. The vein/connective tissue in the steak made more than a third of it inedible, and the potatoes were just poorly prepared with bad flavor.

Happy hour 4 to 6 on Saturday? WTF not? The last time I went in for dinner. We had almost every item on the Happy Hour list. That included their seasonal soup, baby green salad, ahi tuna poke, deep fried calamari, steamed clams, pepper steak bites, and French fried chicken for dessert. Yes we are pigs. The portions were large for being happy hour, and they were also very tasty. I highly recommend a happy hour we were so stuffed we did not order entrees on this visit.

We went looking for a good steak, and we found that: my ribeye was great. My wife's grilled steak skewers were fairly good. Our server was very considerate and helpful. That said, the noise level in the restaurant was almost unbearable. We were in the room immediately to the right of the front door, and between the noise coming in from the bar in the adjacent room, to the echoing decor (concrete floor and walls with hardwood panels and nothing else to break down the noise), we found that we couldn't understand each other across the table without raising our voices. Compared to other steak places in the same class (Daniel's, Ruth's, etc.), the experience was lacking. All it would take is some efforts to reduce the noise levels to the tolerable level, and I would change my mind. I really want a good steakhouse in town so that I don't have to drive all the way to Bellevue or Seattle, but for now, that looks like the choices. If you are looking for a quiet dinner out, this is not the place to go.

From the moment I walked in, alone, I felt welcome and important. I was directed in a friendly way to where my party was to meet. The atmosphere felt calm and tasteful and mellow. My party arrived and we plunged right in--the appetizers were exquisite. We had the sauteed shrimp, tuna tartare, clams in an amazing sauce - so delicious! For the main course I had the truffle burger, which came with (unexceptional but fine) fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful. The portion sizes were generous. We had a couple of bottles of wine - sorry I can't be more specific other than to say one was white and one was red - really, really good. There is a home made ginger beer (non-alcoholic) which was also delicious. Dessert was a gluten-free chocolate concoction that was intensely chocolate and more than satisfied my chocolate needs. Our server, James, was wonderful. He had a presence. He was professional, friendly, attentive, unobtrusive. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service and the background music were just right. Prime is a 21st Century steakhouse, elegantly expressed. It is well though-out, has a modern feel without being impersonal. My plan at this point is to tell all my friends about it, and to go back again and again.

We had reservations @ 7:30 on a week night we didn't get seated for dinner until almost 8:30 which wasn't a big deal, we had 5 in our party so we had drinks and a bottle of wine while waiting. 3 out of the 5 were disappointed with their meal. I loved my Salmon Risotto it came hot and the flavor was great. My husband didn't enjoy his Rib Eye and Baked Potatoe, his steak was cold and the Baked Potatoe was not only cold it looked and tasted like it was cooked the day before. If you can't make a good Potatoe you shouldn't be working in a steakhouse.

I've gone twice since it's opened and each experience was more than enjoyable... I think the decor is warm and inviting- dark, cozy and what you should expect for a contemporary steakhouse. I went during HH so I was able to get a $5 glass of wine, and some good apps as my family trickled in. The service was attentive but not suffocating, food was super good and worth the wait (which was a tad long but they were pretty busy). I plan on going back for, if for nothing else, the banana bread pudding dessert... super yummy! Its def worth your time to try...

I have to give this place 1 star because we never got a chance to even get a drink. We sat in the bar right in the middle of happy hour. They were about 2/3 full. We waited for the bartender to come talk to us. While we waited another couple and a solo gentlemen came in. They were clearly regulars, as the bartender went right over to them, got them water and their drinks. After 15 minutes and watching her serve 3 people that came in after us, we got up to leave. She intercepted us on our way to the door and asked what was wrong. I explained that I watched her serve 2 other tables that came in WELL after us before even talking to us. Her excuse "I was coming to bring you water". Not "i'm so sorry, I didn't see the order people came in your first round of drinks is on me" Not "I'm sorry, the people that came in are regulars and I knew they would be ready to order and wanted to give you time to look at the menu, let me buy you a drink". EDIT: I actually created a yelp account just for this purpose.

3.5 stars, a solid B grade experience. Decor is ok, kind of cheap. Pictures are hung too high. Lights should be a bit lower. This is not the place to order a martini. BombaySapphire martini was served warm in a weird champagne glass. Bread was served hot with yummy creamy butter. Shrimp appetizer was great! Mashed potatoes were yummy and they kindly substituted a half wedge salad (wonderful) for the starch on one of our dinners. We both got the Choice NY and ordered them differently but each was cooked perfectly. House merlot was a better choice than the mixed drinks. Overall a welcome dining experience. We will return.

Really good steak and a nice bottle of Walla wine. Service was excellent. It is new and I appreciate things can be volatile but I liked it and enjoyed the atmosphere. Would prefer to sit upfront nearer the street next time. Good value too

You had me at steak....but it was so much more. Great new spot in Redmond and now one of my favorite steak houses of all time. Classy décor, great ambience, wonderful service and the menu variety knocked my socks off! Started off with the wedge salad and sautéed mushrooms for starters, really great flavors and loved the shaved hard boiled egg combination with the wedge dressing, both were truly flavorful. Moved onto the filet mignon with Blue Cheese-Mushroom Truffle sauce and wanted to melt into the floor, fireworks for all of my olfactory senses. It was so hard to pick just one sauce, definitely coming back to sample all the other menu items I missed. This place has a solid spread of choices you'd expect at a traditional steakhouse, but the innovation to throw different ingredients together for a truly spectacular dining experience. Can't say enough good things about this place and I will definitely be back for more of the exceptional quality of food, service and comfortable dining. Thank you so much for making my Sunday evening out with friends supercalifragilisticexpialidocious :)

Nothing was expressly bad per se...it was just so predictable. A brand new steakhouse with a beautiful wooden facade that had a modern architectural twist should not be serving an old classics menu. Appetizers consisting of calamari, sautéed prawns etc...the steaks were a la carte with simple sides. I felt like I was looking at an exact replica of a Daniel's Broiler menu, price points included, but the quality of the food was no where near Daniel's. Daniel's has had that menu for 20+ years, this brand new steakhouse shouldn't be trying to replicate it, it should be doing something new! The ambiance was poor, I believe their only sound system was in the bar and was hollowly floating into the dining area. We paid $224 for a meal I feel we could have made ourselves. I don't mind paying a lot for amazing food, but this place was extremely lack luster. We may try the bar for Burgers and Drinks but won't be dining on the expensive fare again.

Wow, they've transformed this place into a beautiful restaurant, with great menu options, friendly and informative staff, just an overall positive experience all around! My biggest thing is always healthy options, and this place has it! Great salads, ahi seaweed salad, lots of veggie options that aren't (!!!) deep fried, and a ton of ambiance and warmth. Love the wood treatments all over the tables and ceilings, it's just warm and inviting-- WAY TO GO PRIME!!!!

Frankly I'm a little baffled by all the glowing review here. Prime isn't terrible, but neither is it great. It would be just ok as a mid priced restaurant, but it doesn't live up to it's higher priced positioining at all. We went for happy hour to give it a try before committing to a full meal and I'm glad we did. Between 2 of us we had the Frenched chicken drumsticks, the peppered steak bites and the standard burger. Whiile the flavor of the chicken was good, everything had the feel of a warming rack - lukewarm and dry. The steak and burger didn't seem to be seasoned at all. The fries that came with the burger were by far the best and freshest thing we had. Both nearby places, the Stone House and Tipsy Cow are much better. It's too bad, we really wanted to like this place.

The waiter did not know his stuff. Wine we wanted was unavailable. Ordered a cocktail, sent it back because we didn't like it, but we were still charged. Steaks were OK, definitely not 'prime'. Salmon was pretty good. Fried Brussels sprouts were very good! Only serve 3 desserts and one was sold out. Probably not going to visit Prime again.

First time to Prime. Was in the area prior to the Cirque Du Soleil show. Enjoyed a very nice dinner, Prime Rib Eye with the Truffel Mac n Cheese. Service was very good. Only possible down side is the parking, but that is a very positive sign for the business.

A swanky place with a bar area. They had a modest drink selection and is tailored to their menu. Quiet and dimly lit for a downtempo evening.

A group of 6 of us tried Prime on a Sunday evening, hoping for a great steak dinner, but were all disappointed. While the service was generally good, shouldn't hot food be served hot? They had run out of several of the steaks on the menu, and ran out of another after the order was placed so had to accept an alternate, but that was ok. What wasn't, all came barely lukewarm. The fries for those that had burgers were cold, and neither of the two burger lovers finished theirs for the gristle. While I love a good ribeye, I find they need to be cooked at high enough temperature to melt at least some of the fat. This hadn't happened. For a near $400.00 check, we expected better.

Well I have to say we were excited about having a good steak house close to us, that is until we went here for dinner. There were four in our part and we were to be the ones to check out our normal group of ten that go out for dinner together monthly. Was quite disappointed to have to guess what steaks they actually had in stock as we found they were out of three plus not even doing the prime rib yet. How can a place called prime not have prime rib? We finally received our orders (took quite awhile) and three of four were wrong. Now I can live with that but the man delivering my meal actually argued with me about what I ordered telling me " You DID order a baked potato!" I cant eat potatoes so why would I order one. The Steak I ordered was not even close to cooked medium, and two of the others that did order potatoes sent them back as they were cold! The Manager actually told us we had to be patient because they just opened, NO I really don't since I am paying $50.00 for a steak plus wouldn't you want to do well to show off when you are new? Jordan was our waitress and she is great, a very good add to the place. The only reason we stayed.

I really wanted to like this place. I couldn't. I ordered the 35 day aged prime rib-eye, and half a green salad with Blue cheese dressing. The Salad arrived with what appeared to be no dressing at all. When I asked the server, she told me that there was indeed blue cheese dressing on there. I could not find a single bit of blue cheese, although there was a clear 'something; on the salas which had a faint 'blue cheesey' taste. When the steak arrived I suffered another disappointment. Beginning with the temperature, which could be charitably called warm. (definitely NOT hot). It was also cooked unevenly. I ordered Medium rare. Starting at the narrow end of the steak it was charred on the outside and rare to raw on the inside. It got progressively more cooked until the other end of the steak, while the outside was not charred, the inside was well over into Medium. I would definitely recommend AGAINST going here.

We were very excited that there was a new potentially high quality restaurant opening in Redmond. So, we decided to try Prime Steakhouse. While going into it we were very optimistic and hopeful, in the end we were very disappointed in the offering. The service was great. The sides...cream spinach and brusselll sprouts were top flight. After that a tough sled. The restaurant is an awkward space. the front and the back are divided by a hall with bathrooms and the kitchen. We were seated in the back room and since the kitchen entrances have no doors we had full view of the dish washing station. Also, the kitchen is not well ventilated so the clothing we were wearing smelled like the kitchen when we were finished with our meal. We ordered a porterhouse steak to share. It came out warm, not hot. The grill here is clearly not hot enough to properly char the outside of the steak. The beef was tough to slice for prime beef. We had to send it back for them to heat it up a bit. The peppercorn sauce we ordered on the side was not good at all. As other reviews have indicated it is a more modern take on a steakhouse but kind of a cold modern atmosphere. Hopefully, the bar scene works out with drinks and hamburgers as this may be the best shot for people to experience this restaurant. Again, you can probably provide yourself a better experience with prime beef at home. Sorry, but while we were hoping upon hope for a new addition to the neighborhood these folks have a lot of work to do to provide value for money.

The S/O and I went here to celebrate our anniversary, and she was in the mood for steak. I'd made a reservation, so upon arrival we were seated immediately. I'm glad I had made the reservation as the place looked pretty packed. Our waiter, Josh, was great. Professional, well versed in their offerings and attentive without being intrusive. We each got a Caesar Salad to start, followed by steak and baked potatoes. Her steaks are usually cooked just how she likes them, medium rare. For me, however, mine tend to be overcooked as I'm a blue-rare kind of guy. Prime nailed my steak, just cooked to perfection for me. We'll definitely be going back there to try out their other steaks. If you're in the Redmond area, don't mind spending more for good food and service, check out Prime.

Excellent place for late night Happy Hour. Definetly a good alternative to the Matador. Burgers are amazing (and better than Tippsy Cow across the street - less expensive and order the pork belly!). Wait staff are personable and friendly. Will come back again for Happy Hour!

We are obsessed with this place! Definitely deserves a better overall rating. We always go for happy hour and it's probably the best happy hour in the area. We always get the wedge salad (perfect wedge), French onion soup (perhaps the best ever), and the cheeseburger (gourmet style-- how is it only $8??!!). Highly recommend happy hour here! We are regulars :) Also, Bee's Knees is my favorite cocktail here (off the menu)

For a steak house, I was pretty disappointed with the steak! Ordered the steak medium, it was pretty burnt! And they don't serve Filet Mignon... what!!?? Caesar salad was mediocre and not worth the money. The sauteed prawns were not memorable (literally, cannot remember how they tasted...) Potato gratin = cold, tasteless. Only saving point, the cauliflower gratin was actually really awesome, and deserves the 2 stars I give this! The interior decor is nice, and the staff were friendly, but the food just doesn't live up to expectations, based on the prices.

Came for lunch with some co-workers. It wasn't very busy so that is a good thing? I couldn't decide on the prime rib sandwich or the steak sandwich. The waitress said both are good and the menu said limited availability on the prime rib... So ok I went with that. I was expecting a nice slices of a med rare prime rib but no. It was probably left over prime rib from dinner previous nights and then reheated on the flat top. So it was over cooked and a bit dry. The jus helped a bit but I probably won't order that again. Otherwise it was good. The burger my friend got was ginormous. That might be the right choice next time.

I haven't felt compelled to write a review while still in the actual restaurant for quite some time, however this one is warranted. My Wife and I both ordered French Onion Soup and BOTH came out cold!! How does soup like that become cold, it's only job is to be hot!! Both were sent back, on their return we both were very unimpressed with the quality and flavor. $9 each demands a Capital Grille type of French Onion. This was Campbell's and Velveta mating in our bowls. Fail. Absolutely horrific flavor and texture. We both ordered Medium Rare New York's....We both received lukewarm rough as a catchers mitt New Jerseys....Fail. Both also had a stick of butter on top of each and yet both still had the flavor of old shoelaces......so very disappointed....We will not be coming back.

We just had dinner here tonight, so i decided to share our experience. The kitchen and wait staff were all good, but not top-notch yet. The menu and pricing were way too ambitious. We lived in Chicago for 20 years, and there were no lack of top-level steakhouses. We know the difference between wet-aged versus sry-aged prime steak. The menu promised 38-day aged prime rib, etc. our steak was not trimmed correctly; there were 3-4 oz. of fat out of the 16 oz. steak. More importantly, it was not dry-aged at all. The restaurant deserves at least 3-stars; but if one factors in the pricing and the misinformation, it only deserves 2-stars. They should either lower the price, or stop labelling their prime steak as dry-aged, or both. Otherwise, it is doubtful that it is sustainable.

The Name Says It All: Prime Steakhouse Ambience: 4 Food: 3 Drinks: 3 Value: 3 Prime: appropriately dim and woody atmosphere Stakehouse: serving up meat-centric fair with nice wine complements and appropriately classy cocktails. This place is pretty nice, basically Redmond's version of John Howie... but not quite as fancy (e.g. there's no piano). We thought their cocktails were good and their food was pretty tasty. Nothing crazy, but very solid.

We had dinner here tonight....our first visit. It's certainly not what I expected as far as ambience goes. It's pretty casual, and more of a bar atmosphere with a TV playing the baseball game in one half, audible and visible from the other half. Because of the construction, sound travels so it was pretty loud. The service was really good for most of the meal. It kind of tapered off as it got busier, but still decent. I had a ribeye. The steak was good, and prepared well. The potatoes gratin were tasty, of a bit overly cheesy. Generally, I liked it....but it just didn't feel like a $50 steak. Tasty, but just not worth $50. My husband had a Gorgonzola burger which was really good and priced much more reasonably at $14. We'd definitely go back for burgers, but not for steak. Good, but not worth the price.

The food was amazing! The best fried brussel sprouts I have ever had!! Gnocchi was excellent as well. My husband had the steak sandwich he said was good and said he would recommend it again. We sat in the bar and our waitress was not the most engaging. Was hoping our service would have been better, that is why I only gave 4 stars. I will be back again.

The steak was bad. Way overpriced for what they offer and how casual it is. Back to Sullivan's or John Howie for us!

My husband and I decided to come here to try this new steak house. We were excited since there is not a really good steak house around Redmond. The place was not packed for a Thursday night, which we were happy about it. Service was fast and very nice customer service. We both ordered steaks and the sides were big. I guess we could have shared one entry. We also had wine and they allow you to have a sample taste if you are not sure what to get. I love it :D Anyways, the only complain we have and the waiter also said people complained about the same reason was that the restaurant is way too noisy. It was because of the architecture he said. The sound bounces of the concrete walls and it is kind annoying. He said they will fix it soon. However we will definitely going back there soon.

Had dinner there tonight for the second time.. Guess I did not learn my lesson. The Oxtail Risotto was very "heavy". I totally lost the risotto flavor since it was covered up by the "gravy". Disappointed enough to leave half of it on my plate. Lettuce wedge was good, but it's pretty tough to mess that up. Service was decent although we were a large group that had planned this event in advance but the staff seemed initially unprepared for us. Sorry that my rating is so low, but my expectation for a steak restaurant is high. Especially in Redmond.

First time at Prime and planning to head back out for my birthday. Who am I kidding I'll probably sneak back in and take advantage of the happy hour specials. Started with an old fashioned. Huge ice cube that didn't melt into the drink. Was told to have a bit of dessert with the cherry at the end of the drink, that honestly hit the spot. The cherry had been resting against the ice cube it was perfect for these toasty days we've been getting. Had the Rib Eye medium rare. Loved it. The beef melted and it reminded me of bacon. Nice meaty bacon. I'm not a fan of those horrid brussel sprouts, but Prime had the fried brussel sprouts and the server (sorry I forgot your name) recommended those as his favorites. Gave them a shot, the reminded me of fried artichoke hearts. These are incredible. I'm going to have try making my own now. Finished off with a Cheesecake and pretty much rolled out of the building. But that was okay made for a really nice afternoon with my wife walking around the area. Can't wait to go back. Now that I've tried the steak, I'll venture out and try some of the other dishes.

Went here for lunch had the prime rib sandwich with fries and a bloody...for Redmond this place is pretty good. Solid sandwich, good fries, probably the best au jus I have ever had. They said they make it there. I could tell because it didn't taste like it was manufactured unlike Blue C Sushi for example which Paul L ranks a 4 star...dood really??? Don't listen to Andrew either he doesn't really know much. Who actually reviews a Pizza Haven in 2010 they went bankrupt in 1998? Competition probably. Excellent service Excellent food Good Bloody Mary I would go back here in a heartbeat. Want to try the Truffle Gorgonzola Burger and the Steak. Thought it was great!

We came to celebrate a big birthday and was disappointed. Medium rare- Delminico steak was very chewy, unflavorful, and also $52. Black angus at Ruth's chris prices. It was loud and rowdy as there didn't seem much delineation from the bar seating and the restaurant. At those prices, would expect much higher level of service as well.

Solid steakhouse on the eastside. I'm sorta chuckling at some of these horrid reviews, I wouldn't want whiners like that as customers anyways. So while it's not a Jak's, Sullivans, Metropolitan Grill or El Gaucho, what it is is a pretty good steakhouse located in Redmond so that you do not have to drive out to all of these others. You also have to remember this place opened up less than a year ago. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, happy hour has some great items and the drinks are great (Tito's martini on happy hour is $7 which is a great price). They also have a nice selection of gluten free options or can make dishes to be gluten free. When I go I typically get the steak salad. I absolutely love this salad and for the price of $15, its a great option for dinner. I usually get the balsamic dressing (its a nice balsamic that they use) and I always ask for extra chimichurri sauce (its a great chimichurri). The flourless chocolate cake is soooooooooooooooo good! I always end up wanting to order a 2nd one (even though i don't). The chicken drumettes are pretty tasty, I wish they put more of their buffalo sauce on them though but during happy hour, the $7 price is a great deal. Philly cheesteak fries are exactly that, its a fun twist to just having boring fries and on happy hour its only $6.00. Fun to share with a table. The heirloom tomato salad is mind blowing! Its on their seasonal menu so it prob won't be around long after summer. Its a caprese salad with basil microgreens and an amazing white balsamic vinegar. It's $13.00 but I can tell you that its worth every penny of that!

Love this new hot spot in downtown Redmond. First class service, awesome vibe. Greeted and seated with a busy Saturday night crowd, very warm and inviting. Generous awesome portions. Very tasty Wedge Salad, I had. 1/2 order which was fresh and a generous a size. My guests ordered house salads with equal appreciation. The Columbia River salmon with vegetable risotto was very savory. The steaks ordered by the rest of the table were melt in your mouth perfectly cooked to order. Dessert was added with molten chocolate cake and traditional NYC Cheesecake. We will be back!

Visited Prime shortly after they opened, and had very high hopes. I don't eat red meat anywhere near as much as I once did, but I was born and raised in the midwest and know my steak quite well. These days, a nice steak is an occasional treat. This was not that. The steak was of poor quality - as another reviewed pointed out, they simply aren't on par with other area steakhouses in the same price range. Service seemed halfhearted at best - with a server who seemed almost seemed uninterested when we asked, "first time here, what can you tell us about the menu?" No desire whatsoever to return. I know that Redmond's seeing an influx of higher-priced restaurants to go with the equally high-priced apartment blocks going in around Cleveland Ave (2 bdrm apt for more than my Education Hill mortgage? Really?) I hope that this isn't indicative of what we'll see in the future...

For all the rage on here I was rather unimpressed. Wife's dish came out way undercooked, sauces were off and there is no way my rib eye was aged as long as they claimed. I'm not sure if it was timing that caused this, 9:30 on Sat night, but their game was not there especially for the price.

I took a friend for a Bday lunch redo...first time was at Purple and it was an epic fail so th is needed to be awesome. Place cleaned up well after sitting vacant for years I was impressed with the ambiance it has. We couldn't decide on what to have so...we ordered from the dinner menu. It turned out to be a great choice. We shared a bottle of Chardonay. The server nailed it in the description of style and favors. We shared the wedge salad. Both of us agreed how fantastic it was. The capers added a nice salty punch. We shared the New York and it was cooked to perfection! The chef cut it in half and mine was med rare and my friends was medium. Both were perfect. My side was the potatoes at gratin and OMG seriously worth every Single. Fat gram. My friend had the roasted potaoes. This was the only complaint she had. They were dry and flavorless and probably not a great choice for a steak. The server was patient with us...we took a long time to order. She was very pleasant and knew her menu. She was happy to be there and it certainly showed. I for sure will go back and I'm bringing my hubby. A nice addition to Redmond we so needed a steak house.

Nice (semi upscale) steak place opened across matador and tipsy cow burger. I went there twice now and sat at the bar times for HH so I guess this is bar and HH specific review. The place is dark with a decent bar area (with few high tables). Both times I got steak bites and ceasar salad and they both tasted great each time and pricing isn't bad at all! I believe the steak bites concept came from Daniel broiler. Each time I had the HH red wine for 5 bucks (I believe) and I couldn't ask for more for that price! The hamburger was also good (and cheaper than tipsy cow next door) at $8! And then dessert was only ok because I think it was cold on the inside but it was supposed to be a cake so it wasn't heated up enough. The waitress was real nice but it was too slow because she was one person serving many people. Then there was a drunk customer right next to us but thank goodness he left within 20 minutes of us sitting down so it was all good. Overall, nice ambience, great food for the price and I don't really have much to complain about.

What the heck ...why are there so many sour critics. My husband and I have been here several times for date night and also with friends and family. This is a small business new to Redmond and we choose to support them! They are mid ranged not a John Howie level but just as delicious! Their steaks and sides are amazing! Our server last time was Lisa and James before that and both were exceptional. We average $50 per person including dessert but no alcohol. They had a noise issue but since have put up sound panels on the ceiling which made the dining room quiet and inviting. I recommend the baseball steak, roasted Brussels sprouts and the cheesecake!!! Welcome! We love having a new date night place that serves awesome steaks!

Just had the BEST DINNER EVER! We are a meal of kings and the service was outstanding! Lisa took such great care of us and we couldn't have asked for more! My friends and I recently visited Prime at lunchtime. The food was extremely disappointing and overpriced. Three of the four of us ordered steak (two "Prime" NY strips and one "Natural" NY strip) as our main course. All three steaks were grisly, fatty, and tough and one steak was delivered to our table charred on the outside. I have had better steaks at chain restaurants such as Applebees. I gave this restaurant two stars only because the final member of our party ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke and steak sandwich and left satisfied both with his food and the price he paid for his meal. I would not recommend this restaurant for anything past the appetizers and drinks. If you want to spend money on a steak, bypass Prime and head to Bellevue. We will not be coming back.

Oh the fits and starts of a new restaurant. It's almost unfair to review and I usually will wait or lower my standards, but for a steakhouse, I can't go too low. I expect most things to be somewhat en pointe, like menu knowledge, staff professionalism, and entree presentation. Let's start with the restaurant itself. Very odd floor plan. If you get sat in the back, like my party did, you have to pass the heart of the restaurant as well as the bathrooms. I would have done some remodeling to prevent this path. And if you're going to seat people in this particular back booth, make it a uniquely special booth. Next, let's discuss the acoustics. Expect loudness. Expect that a baby making horse lip noises over and over in the next booth will be very audible. I have found this to be a consistent architectural faux pas in many restaurants up here. Let's now move on to the service. If you're going to work in a steakhouse or a place that may skirt on the edge of fine dining, have a table-side manner. "Hi, what can I get you to drink?" is a sentence that you may not even hear at Denny's. It's usually, "May I bring you a fresh cup of coffee?" Adjective. Suggestion. Courtesy. A little wine knowledge would be useful. And what better way to put said knowledge to practical use than in a brand new steakhouse via upselling beverages to your guests. Our server could have been a lot better at this. Ok enough of my snobby nit-pickery and on to the food... The house Cosmo? Terrible. I don't normally drink cosmos but I thought, l'm somewhere new. Let's be a lil girly. Drink served. Lips pucker. Another person at the table confirms that the citrus to vodka ratio is definitely amiss. Calamari. Decent. Oysters on the half-shell. Must have been good because they didn't make me sick. Duck Confit? Fail. "Sorry, we served the last duck". Thanks, 15 minutes later. Alas, I'm relegated to a medium rare prime rib of the awesomely fatty kind plus cold shoestring potato fries. And the steak was good, but I've had a seasoned better. The best thing that I had was the coconut tiramisu cake although it could have used a bit more coffee flavoring. All in all I think that this place has potential but it's definitely in it's stages of working things out. Having said that though, I'm not sure about the dining atmosphere. I'd have to try sitting somewhere else in the restaurant and test the acoustics, literally have an experience from a different perspective. Well that's that. If I come back, I hope my duck is there.

*Solid newer spot, parking was chock full had to circle the block for several minutes to find parking across the street in a strip mall *5 stars for the steak, mice char, perfectly cooked and traditional sides ala Mortons and the Met *Service was good if not rushed, drinks were decent, nice to have a good chop house in old redmond and not have to go into bellevue to Daniel's or Howie

First of all, I will start by saying that I have had lunch in the bar a couple times during off hours and it was very pleasant and the burger and atmosphere was very good. Because of this and having checked out the dinner menu, I decided this would be a great place to take my boyfriend for his birthday dinner because the prime beef menu looked great. Boy was that a big mistake! I made a reservation for this past Saturday night at 6:30 in the dining room. It was a horrible experience. First, the noise level was beyond tolerable. We were seated directly in the middle of the room and all tables were full. The room is all hard surfaces and my boyfriend and I could not speak to one another without yelling. We finally just gave up and didn't bother speaking for most of the meal. The next serious problem was the quality of the food. For the prices charged and the menu description of so called Prime beef - I was very disappointed. The prime top sirloin was filled with gristle and the exterior was burnt to a bitter charred crisp. The "glazed" carrots were burned dried out sticks. I am not a wealthy person. In fact. I am a senior on a fixed income that can not afford to throw my money away but that is exactly what I felt happened. I waited a couple days to write this review so that I would have time to calm down about the experience. I will never spend my money there for dinner again. I am so sorry about this because i was really looking forward to finding a new addition to fine dining on the eastside. For the money I spent, I would have been better off going to Ruth's Chris.

    (1)
  • John S.

Had high hopes for a great family steak house in Redmond - but was disappointed. The prices are fairly high - the kind of prices you would see at a top steak restaurant. We would be okay with this but then would expect everything to be really top notch. Unfortunately the overall quality of the mains and sides is well below that of John Howie, El Gaucho, and so on.

  • Aaron B.

For a 3 dollar sign steakhouse in Redmond, this place is good. There are way better steakhouses in Bellevue and downtown Seattle that are worth the full 4 dollar signs, though. I went for a steak dinner and the food was solid. I think this is comparable to Ruth's Chris steakhouse (both use USDA Prime Beef) but with a more laid back atmosphere. The Ahi Tuna Poke was a delicious appetizer, and the steak entrees were all well received but nothing spectacular. Service was fast and friendly. I hope to go back and check out their lunch/happy hour burger options -- that's probably the sweet spot here, but there are a couple of other great options for burgers in downtown Redmond. If you are willing to travel, it's worth it... but if you are looking for a steak dinner in Redmond, this place will work!

I've had two visits to Prime, both of which have been great experiences. Once was a party of 4 on a busy Friday night, and the other was a solo trip to the bar for happy hour. Service and food/drinks were everything you would hope for. On the Friday night, my wife and I actually split one of their big steaks and they gladly brought extra plates without any attitude (unlike other eastside steakhouses). Would recommend for a business meeting, or an outing for a group of friends. Thanks, Prime!

This is a weird place. I'd describe it as "if the Outback started a prime steak house: it's the Outback but the food quality is a bit better". I called and made reservations for 4 people at 7:00 on Saturday night. When we arrived, our table was ready and we were promptly seated. I make and collect wine, so I carefully read the wine menu. I was pleased to see that most of the offerings were from local wineries. The food menu was easy to follow and had an array of steaks and other items. Our waitress was horrendous. I enjoy eating great food and drinking great wine, and I like to tip 18-20%, but I don't just hand out money to people for doing absolutely nothing. I expect my wine to be poured for me (which never happened, nor for any of my companions), my water glass to never run empty (the assistant wait staff took very good care of this), and I expect to be checked-up on once in a while, especially after the entrees have been cut into (our waitress checked once). We had to ask for bread, even after exclaiming that we were all very hungry when we were seated. I might sound picky, but this place will run about $100+ per person with wine, etc., and I expect some service. I want to give 20%, but there's a set of minimum standards which need to be met. It's really pretty basic stuff. The side dishes at Prime are served in dishes which are separate from the dinner plates. After we had finished eating our main entrees, the wait staff quickly cleared our plates and silverware and left the side dishes on the table. For about 30 minutes, I kept thinking "how am I supposed to finish the rest of my sides with no plate or silverware?" My steak was fantastic but the sides were somewhat watery and the physical plates were cold which immediately began to draw the heat out of the food. My overall impression of Prime is that the restaurant is corporate-owned and no one who works there really has a stake in its success or failure, and, therefore, no one cares. If the place goes under, they can all get jobs at other restaurants around the area. I've had better service at most restaurants. I probably won't go back.

One of the best steakhouses I have been to. Here's why: 1. Size. Dining room is small and intimate. Beautiful setting. This allows for a greater personalization and the waiter didn't disappoint. 2. Selection-- a good selection for a meat person with some optional seafood and really nice side selections-- not too much of a menu to where its overwhelming, but a good mix. You MUST have the Califlower Gratin. Jesus. 3. Quality of food: The steaks were amazing-- my buddy and I got the Prime and regular Rib Eyes to see if there was a possible difference -- and there was none. --Next time I will go standard cut. 4. Variety of sauce How do you like your meats? Plain or with the some sauces? Most of us are in the sauce culture. I had the mushroom/blue cheese and it was fantastive 5. DRINKS. This would be my #1 if they weren't so crazy expensive. Old Fashioned. Delish. Nothing bad to report-- but the carrots were severly undercooked. Not so amazing, but who comments about amazing carrots?

Great spot for lunch! My husband & I enjoyed a delicious lunch on their patio. I had a salmon burger & he had a bacon cheeseburger. We enjoyed our meals & the service was outstanding. We will be return customers, maybe for dinner next time! The bar looked like a great place for low key dinner & drinks.

Redmond was overdue for a Steakhouse. The restaurant is conveniently located and has great parking. The inside looks like a classic steakhouse. The servers are nice and very present. The only issue is that Prime doesn't seem to have a good air/vent system so you will end up smelling like food after you leave. Now to the food: The prawn appetizers is wonderful. Cooked to perfection. The steak skewers dish is a good substitute if you are not sure which steak to pick but beware: the dish is BIG. I ordered the 8.oz tenderloin and I asked for a Medium cook. It was definitely a little bit under but it wasn't all that bad. The potato gratin is to die for - very delicious and not too garlic-y. Over all experience was good. I would have give it a 3.5 but Yelp won't let me :)

A great transformation of an old beat up restaurant to Redmond's only legitimate steak house. Kevin Phillips has been in the business for many years and he has put together a winner. It looks like a steak house, it smells like a steak house and for sure the steaks are the top drawer. This restaurant has just opened and you would never know it. Service was on time and informative and our drinks were excellent. My steak was medium rare and perfectly done and so was my clients. The wedge salad is a must. I will write more after my next visit. Still good as they are getting used to themselves. Staff is now stable.

Sadly unimpressed. First off, the rating on this review is mostly on the steak itself, as this is a steak house, and at $40/steak, I'd expect quality. We had the Brussel sprouts, which were phenomenal! Although when it came to the steak the medium rare was over cooked. Slightly more than medium even. Extra surprising given the thickness of the steak. Sadly if I wanted a steak like that I'd have gone somewhere with a $12 steak, not $40. Service is good, sides are delicious and great wine pairing, but the steak really doesn't cut it.

Have been here multiple times, I actually just live right across the street and order pickup quite often.. I love the prime burger! Omg its to die for! Can't go wrong with there truffle burger as well! Has so many flavors and I think they serve the best food around! I also would have to say that you should definitely try the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream... I can't quite describe the amazing taste it's so unique but so DELECTABLE. It's a must in my opinion.

Finally a steakhouse in Redmond! We finally were able to come here about 2 weeks ago for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately our first experience here wasn't the greatest. I ordered a lemon drop and it was just ok. There was something missing from it. I enjoyed my Caesar salad and it was a nice twist on a traditional Caesar. I also ordered the filet mignon (tenderloin). It was cooked medium rare and it tasted good, but I don't think that it was worth $38. It took quite a while for us to be served, but we were enjoying being out without our kids. Now for my husbands steak. Unfortunately it came overcooked, so he had to send it back. The waitress was very apologetic especially since we had already been waiting for a while. The manager came over and apologized as well and said they wouldn't bill us for the $50 steak. I wasn't expecting that so it was a nice surprise. Also, he offered me a free dessert, so I would have something to eat once my husbands steak came. Unfortunately my dessert didn't come until after my husband was done eating. I had the flourless chocolate cake. It was so good! It was the best part of the meal! We've been to multiple steakhouses in Bellevue and Seattle. Overall I thought their prices were high for what we got.

It is so seldom that everything's perfect during a dining experience. This is a place that delivers that experience. I stopped by for lunch, and sat at the bar. I still felt pampered by the staff. A prime rib french dip that was amazingly tender. Truffle Mac-n-cheese, that was so rich and fulfilling I couldn't finish the dish. (I will tonight). Can't wait until I return for the dry aged steak. I was sitting next to a gentleman that raises Wagyu beef in TN. He told me his tenderloin was in perfect. I'll trust his opinion.

I'm a fan of the old style steak house and have been very disappointed with what's available on the Eastside since the closing of 21 Central. I am happy to say that Prime was really,,, really... good. The quality was great. The steak was just to my liking. The Bordelaise was just beautiful and the bread pudding was to die for. I'm still stuffed the next morning... The only complaint I would have is that the noise level is annoying. Don't know why they bother with music, because you can't hear it. Upholster the walls with leather tiles and the place would be perfect.

I've been to Prime a handful of times. Only once would I say this experience was anything above mediocre. But my last visit has led me to the decision to never return, despite how hospitable Kevin, an owner, has been. I came in with a couple friends one afternoon this past week; we went straight to the bar and waited a few minutes before anyone acknowledged us. And when we were acknowledged by the bartender, Heidi, we were treated as if we were unwelcome...in the EMPTY bar. The restaurant, to my knowledge, was empty; but we were told to watch what we say (in regards to language) because of children in the dining room (which is a completely separate room away from the bar). I understand it's a family restaurant and this is why we went to the bar. We weren't speaking any louder than what anyone else would consider a normal volume. I ordered the Gorgonzola Truffle burger as I always do and it was nothing to rave about this time unfortunately. The oysters were by far better than anything I've ever had at Matt's Oyster Lounge. And if you haven't tried Kevin's homemade ginger beer on draft, it's perfection. Whenever I've been served by Drew I've always had a great time. But after being treated so coldly by Heidi, I will gladly make the trek somewhere else for craft cocktail.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch before heading over to Merrymoor Park for an event the other day, and we were very pleased. Our server Luke was extremely kind and helpful. Best service we have experienced in a while. We sat outside in the warm weather on their patio. The drinks were good, I had a glass of wine and my girlfriend had a Moscow Mule, which is mixed using their homemade ginger beer - which is delicious. She ordered a steak salad, and myself the Gorgonzola Mushroom burger with pork belly and a salad. The food was excellent, and the steak (and burger) came out at the correct doneness. We will very likely be back for dinner the next time!

Not sure if the time was not good but we arrived at lunch time and the restaurant was covered with smoke, subtle but it seems they didn't have a proper ventilation system. We ordered the New York steak and the tenderloin. The New York steak was below the average you should expect at a steak restaurant. The flavor was okay but the size was not consistent to the price. I ordered the tenderloin and it was well cooked, a little bland but overall okay. Also, our food took a little longer to arrive, we waited a bit longer than 20mins for both entrees. Being our first time we were a little disappointed. Service was very friendly.

I'm happy that we have another steakhouse in Redmond. It's the second week of it being open and there's polish needed. It's conflicted in what it wants to be. PRIME all caps seems excessive when it wants to be a classic steakhouse but nothing is really classic. Bread rolls: Tasty but kinda random on the mix of type you get. French Onion Soup: Tasty but not traditional. Braised Mushrooms: Kinda soupy mushrooms with a homogeneous flavor Truffle Burger: Greasy. There needs to be better balance between the oil and the bun. the top was dry and the bottom was soaked. Service: It's two weeks in. Just some suggestions. -Greet the table in the first 5 minutes. -Don't start with "Have you been helped?" -Bring bread without asking "Do you want bread?" -Pinot Gris isn't Pinot Noir... we got red when we asked for white. -Do the classic garnishes with classic cocktails. -Move your busser to water service so the waiters can focus. -Ask if you would like desert instead of just bringing a bill. Price: Too high -It's John Howie prices for steaks. Burgers are the alternative but there is a burger joint across the street. There's a $21 peking duck option but it feels out of place. Atmosphere: -Set the table. -The dishwasher has to not slam the dishwasher because it backs up to the dining room wall or add insulation. -If I'm going to spend $30 -$60 on a steak I want white table clothes and full service. -The music is too loud to relax. The ceiling speaker in the corner pounds music into the top of your head. -The acoustics amplify because there are no soft surfaces and the ceiling is low in the dining room. I hope they can make these changes and hang around for a while.

I took my husband here to celebrate a promotion he received at work. We chose to share a salad, one of the prime filet steaks, the au gratin potatoes and brussel sprouts. The service was pretty good - nothing outstanding, but the staff was attentive. The food was good, but I think perhaps a little overpriced to be spending over $100 after tip on a shared meal and we did not even order drinks with dinner. I recall the ambiance, service and quality of food to be better at El Gaucho, to be honest. This restaurant really is quite compact and rather loud. I have seen in other reviews that they do have a good happy hour, so I would definitely consider coming back another time to check that out - I think I would like this place better for some good apps and drinks with friends.

Tried Prime for the first time last week. Overall was impressed with the food and service. Very attentive staff. Quick service, even on a Friday night. Quality steaks and sides (garlic mashed potatoes and cauliflower gratin) and great clam appetizer. The only part that that I didn't care for was the layout of the dining room. It was a bit smaller than I was expecting. There were several couples sitting at tables that could seat 4 people. We were seated at one of the only tables in the center of the room, which makes you feel like you're on display, Because there is only one entrance/exit to the room, I constantly felt like servers/bussers were swarming around our table to get to the others. Finding a front row spot in their dedicated parking lot was a bonus.

I prefer The Stone House than here. The tenderloin steak that I ordered was burnt on the outside but cooked medium inside. I could probably cook a better steak than that. We loved the Ahi Tuna Poke, though. We might come back but not very soon.
