While T and T is busy almost every time I eat there, I have always found their wait staff to be friendly and obliging. My father is very particular about chow fun, and asks for it to be made a certain way (which involves omitting most of the main ingredients and substituting them for others). The waitress is always more than happy to take his order just as he wants it and it almost always comes out perfectly. They are always quite attentive of us, with frequent water refills and removal of used plates. One of their most popular dishes, the honey walnut shrimp, is a bit sweet for my taste, but is quite enjoyable to satisfy a sweet tooth or shrimp craving. I prefer the barbeque duck and crispy chicken in addition to chow fun. All in all, I find T and T and excellent Chinese restaurant that thankfully strays far enough away from the "sweet and sour pork" standard that I could get at any run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant, but still adheres closely enough so as to provide some of the old favorites.

This is really good Chinese without going to "China town", the sizzling seafood is the best, if you enjoy REAL chinese food, give this one a try

There is just way too many good things to choose from in this place. Take a dozen friends with you so there will be a good variety of food. Hell, just grab some folks off the street. They'll be glad you did.

the location in shoreline is so much better. the service here is good, but the quality of food for those prices? so not worth it. the decor and fend shui is nice and all, but i'd rather eat at the crammed- however yummier food in shoreline.

Never been there when they weren't slamming busy. We LOVE the food here; more authentic then most Chinese restaurants that are americanized. T&T has authentic food; live crabs and fish, great roast duck served with tortillas, honey walnut prawns to die for, and so many other great dishes. Lots of options, fantastic menu, decent prices. The service is meh, I've had better. The food though, is incredible; for outside chinatown that is.

We went there for dim sum today expecting to see wonderful selection of food on multiple carts. Hardly! There were only 3 carts rolling around the entire restaurant! Only one cart had baked hom bow and fried dishes. The other two were for steamed dishes. Not one of the carts had food that was steaming hot or just hot, more like luke warm. Service was on the slow side, even though there were a lot waiters walking around. We had to ask for tea and water, no one was going to automatically show up with it. I witnessed one customer just walk out not long after he was seated. After paying, I overheard the people at the table next to us say, "service sucks!" I agree service sucks and so does the food.

All the 3 stars I give this restaurant comes from the fantastic food. Unfortunately the service and atmosphere is severely lacking, not to mention the very un-hygienic washrooms. Other then that I come here to bring my family and friends who crave good Sechuan/Cantonese dishes when they visit from Vancouver, B.C., where there is a plethora of outstanding Chinese restaurants. I particularly like their Sechuan crispy prawns, green beans with shredded pork, and their fantastic house special chow mein with crispy noodles. It can take forever to get a waiter/waitress attention and their attitude can be downright rude, but if you can take them with a grain of salt, you're in for a fabulous meal!

This place is awesome. For "chinatown" quality food for a little bit more money, go to this place. The convenience is worth the extra buck or two. Don't get the lunch special as the fried rice is pre-cooked. Order everything by entree -- the fried rice is awesome, sea bass, szechuan everything, etc.

This restaurant is just as good as the ones in Seattle's Chinatown, and personally; I think it's much more cleaner! It sure gets busy on weekends with usually a full house, so the wait times can be a bit annoying. Most dishes I've tried and they're delicious, authentic, and the seafood dishes are always the best if you order them live from their tanks. Lobster or crab dishes are a must if you wanna go all out, honey garlic pork, honey walnut prawns, salt & pepper squid or halibut are equally yummy, and their soups are tasty too. I always think Chinese food is extra greasy but this place isn't too bad. =)

I get wary of some Chinese restaurants. The employees always seem to not care about being friendly. It's pretty much no nonsense. I've been to China, so I should be used to it, but it just seems a little out of place here. On top of that, the food was not that great this time. I went there this last time with my parent and relatives from out of town. I was pretty embarrassed that I took my family to a place where the server snapped at my parents for asking too many questions. She said she was in a hurry. My parents do ask a lot of questions... I supposed I'm immune to it by now, but I felt like the server could have said it more politely. Throughout the meal, it felt like we were inconveniencing them every time we asked for something... water... napkins... rice. Uh, can we get some rice with our meal at a Chinese restaurant? With that being said, I guess I'll have to buck up and make my own Chinese food it I want to eat it. Sigh... the price I pay for living in the suburbs.

Dim sum opening weekend was terribly lacking. Patrons were sitting around empty tables waiting for carts to circle BUT........my anticipation and excitement for great dim sum in the north was nothing but a disappointment. I left hungry, let down, and probably will not waste another sunday dim sum at this place.

We tried their dim sum today. It was crowded. We waited about 10 min. Service is good. Food is above average. Kinda pricey compared to Chinatown dim sum restaurant.

After wanting to come here for a long time, I tried the Crispy Prawns with Honey Walnuts for $11.80 + (tax 1.15) + (tip 2.40) = $15.35 - I counted 16 pieces of shrimp Simply put, this dish is thoroughly unremarkable - not incompetently prepared but not in any way special; Those at lunch may want to pop into the adjacent 99 Ranch Market & grab the buffet lunch at $6.99 a pound & offering a variety of choices...

For my grandmother's 88th birthday celebration, we gathered the family from near and far (as close as Mill Creek, and as far as New York) for a family reunion. Our large group of 27 took up 3 tables, and we had 9 courses total, which were pre-ordered by my aunt (based on grandma's favorites). It was, of course, rather empty at 5pm, but by the time we left, the place was packed, with people crowding the entrance waiting for tables. Service was efficient and after the 4th dish, it seemed to come out rather quickly, cramming our lazy susan to the gills. No worries, we gobbled it up! We had sliced BBQ pork, honey-walnut prawns, seafood soup, Peking duck, steamed chicken, clams in black bean sauce, steamed whole fish, ginger scallion crab, and pork short ribs in a sweet and sour sauce. It was all really good, but so much food that we ended up with a fair amount of leftovers. We were good Chinese kids and packed it up to take home. I'm from SF and NY, so I like to think I know my Cantonese food pretty well, and I'd recommend T&T.

When this place gets busy, service goes out the door. However, they have the best hot and sour soup I've ever had, and the food is generally good.

I think this place should be called TNT instead of T & T...and their schtick could be that they sell dynamite for you to eat...which would probably taste a lot better than the schlop they're serving up at lunch. Blech. Sure it's cheap...but, so is gunpowder.

We frequent T and T often and have never been disappointed. Had a wonderful dinner last night, celebrating a family birthday. Food was incredible, service was great. The honey scallops have never been better. We ordered 7 dishes and shared family style and each one was fantastic.

I have been here quite a few times with my wife who is Asian. She likes it; I don't. Perhaps, as she maintains, it is more authentic than some. That is not necessarily a good thing to me. I find the food bland, the service perfunctory and the environment a bit run down. Prices are reasonable at least for the Seattle market. Lunch special are consistently delivered with considerable time in between.

  • Jackie K.

This year's birthday outing was great. We got family style as always, but they let us substitute the Black Pepper Seafood platter for the deep-fried crab. YAY! It was yummy. The steamed seafood thingy I mentioned before also has broccoli in it....but I still don't know the name of it. It's still my #2 favorite dish next to the Honey prawns. Their hot and sour soup is possibly the best I've ever had. So much seafood in it and just the right amount of heat.

  • Joy S.

What is it with the Ranch 99 Market and all its connecting restaurants being plain horrible? My friend and I ordered a couple noodle dishes (the server's supposed recommendation) that were so bland I ended up dumping soy sauce over it to give it some kick. The seafood assortment in one of the entrees was rubbery and flavorless. The service was emotionless and unwelcoming (maybe that's their style, but I swear to God everybody in this Ranch 99 complex is this way! It's hilarious!). I've had better food at Panda Express, to be honest. I'd rather pay $5 a plate, too. *joy The hot and sour soup was pretty good.

I used to love this restaurant for it's Honey Walnut Shrimp and Seafood Crispy Noodles until I saw Shark Fin Soup on the menu. It really pissed me off and I am now boycotting this place. A hundred million sharks are caught each year around the world and the shark population has declined 90%. Once they are caught, their fins are sliced off and the rest of the body is dumped back into the water, left to sink to the bottom. If you people are wondering, who cares about sharks? Well, they are what keeps the oceans in balance. What happens when we have no seafood to eat? Please boycott this place and any other restaurant that serves shark fin soup.

THE STAFF MEMBERS OF THIS RESTAURANT IS INHUMANE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Everything is consistence here. The good food to the usual poor service I get at this place. I was having a late dinner with my family at this restaurant. We were seated close to the podium where the to go orders are made and checking out customers were being done. In the middle of our dinner, I hear a loud thunk! I had assume one of their big Buddha sculpture had fallen from the shrine that sits above that podium of theirs. I hear the girl sitting next to our table pointed down and was telling one of the staff "a man just fell" I quickly stood up to see what was going on... She was right. A man had collapsed right in front of the podium. He must have hit the floor really hard in order to make such a loud thunk. I waited about a min to see if the man was gonna get up on his own and no...he is still lying there on the floor with no help from anybody. I quickly called 911 and also the girl who noticed him fall first did too. I observed the wait staff and the manager failing to come to this man's aid, calling for any help, stepping over his helpless body continuing serving food, staring at the fallen body, as if this incident did not occur. I saw the chefs and the food prep men come forward to see what was going on. They stared for about a min and went back to the kitchen to get back to what they were doing. Still no help from any of the staff. The waiters and the the host continued to do their job back of the podium and finally two brave young girls that was dining finally came to his aid. The guy was still out. They stood next to him until the EMTs got there. I thought the manager and the wait staff could have handled the situation a whole lot better or at least called for help if they were too afraid to touch the man who collapse right before their eyes.

We go to T&T for birthdays at least once a year, and whenever I get up north to Ranch 99. I like this place, but it suffers from the standard attitude problem you get at the chinese restaurant. I don't want to wait to be seated. I don't want to have to ask for tea and water, and I do want the check in a timely fashion. That's at all restaurants, no matter how big or small. With that said, they have good food. I discovered that they have a sizzling hot plate of black pepper filet mignon for 10 bucks, and boy I'll tell you, it changed my life. I never have bad food here, and I don't mind the plastic tupperware thermos thing of rice that they're gonna give you. It's hot, and it's a little cheesy, but whatever. If this place tightened up their standards of service, they'd get 4 stars, but for now they get a solid 3.

  • Janis H.

Wow, I'm surprised this place doesn't have a higher overall rating.... but I think I understand. This place is not for the newbie to Chinese or Asian or Foreign food. You also need to understand Asian restaurants and how they "operate" - they're not customer friendly. That doesn't bother me, I just want good Chinese food and this place is the best I've found in the Seattle area. Are they consistent? No, no always but cooks/chefs have their bad days too just like the rest of us. But this is still the best food I've ever had in the 4+ yrs I've been living here. (I've only ordered from the menu, haven't tried their Dim Sum)

  • Annie T.

One of my family favorites, but minus one star for the service...I love the honey walnut prawns, they do them just right here-- not smothered too much in the mayonnaise. This is a good place for chinese food if you have a big group, we usually do the big pre-packaged dinners so we don't have to pick out what to eat.

Went here on friend's recommendation. Won't go back. Shrimp dishes were good except vegis. were cold. How does that happen? I have the sizzling beef which was tough as shoe leather. Mentioned this to a hostess and she said "I don't eat that stuff." She obviously mentioned it to our waitress, as did I, but no refund or "no charge" was offered - even though we left most of it there. I guess I should've demanded we not be charged for it. Utterly terrible. Won't go back.

Not the best service (friendliness that is!) but food is pretty good! Can't beat their $5.75 lunch specials!! Pretty fast service and a good place to lunch at with friends/co-workers if you don't have much time. ;) For dinner, prices can get steep but me and my husband always get 1-3 items if its just us 2. I also eat here with the family and we all love it. Things to try: Green beans w/ shredded pork, Filet mignon sizzling hot plate, Ginger beef hot pot, Chow mein (pan friend noodle style) ;)

  • Sarah D.

I agree that the service can leave something to be desired, but it's not that bad. I've had much worse at other places. The food is delicious!!! The honey walnut prawns and green beans with shredded pork are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! I could eat those everyday.

  • Art C.

I agree with most other reviews in that the food is ok but the service has a lot to be desired. We had the sizzling pepper seafood and the ginger beef clay pot and it was ok, nothing out this world. I asked the waitress to prepare the singapore nooddles with the big rice noddles (chow fun) instead of the vermicchelli and she said NO. I asked her to confirm that with the cook and she went around other tables and w/out asking the cook she came back and said no that is not possible. Hopefully next time we get a different waitress or waiter. We're going back because it beats going to the ID....well, unless I gotta stop by esquin. Cheers!

Had dim sum yesterday. Ordered the steamed shrimp dumplings which were just ok because the wrapper had a weird, thick, gummy texture. The black bean sauce w/spareribs were meaty and had little fat but were a little tough and pretty tasteless. The baked BBQ pork bun was just so-so. The baked egg custard was pretty good but I definitely had better. Was quite disappointed because the main dishes there are consistently very good. May be worth the trip to go to International District (Chinatown) for real dim sum.

I will not go back to this place. The food is ok at best but the service is horrible. It started when I first moved to Edmonds. My hubby and I went to this place and it took FOREVER for us to get any service. When we were done with our meal it took them FOREVER to bring our check and we actually had to go to the counter to pay for it because no one came back for it. Then we decided to try the Dim Sum. They wanted to put is at probably the smallest table they had and it was right next to the bathroom. EEWWW! When we told them we didn't want to sit there they made us wait when they had plenty of other tables available. I don't know why but today we went back to give them one more try. We walk in and are waiting for someone to come and seat us. After a few minutes of standing there another couple comes in. Then one of the people who had been cleaning off the tables walks over, walks right past us to the other couple, tells them they need to sign in to be seated, then walks past us again without saying a word or telling us to sign in or anything. WHAT THE HECK!!!!! Are we invisible???? I mean how freaking rude. Definitely won't be going back to this place.

This stands as the epitome of reliable Chinese restaurants. The Fried Almond Shrimp will easily put you ten laps back on the treadmill, but it's well worth it. Located in the Chinese Market Mecca that is Ranch 99, you'll find it spacious enough for a large group as well as accommodating for the less social eater. There it is common sight to see people of all ages and races enjoying Chinese Seafood. The black bean stone cooked bass and the Cantonese style noodles are generous in portion and even more generous in flavor.

We love love love this place- sizziling beef, seafood har fun. Our favorite Hong Kong restaurant!! and right next to Ranch 99 how convinient

I come here for only the garlic crabs. Service is totally lacking and or non existence! Filthy!!! The price is cheap and the location is more convenience for us than ID, so those are the reason for our visit.

Tried to order take out over the phone. Forget about it! Thought they might have black cod so we asked and just got yelled at and belittled. The guy was so rude over the phone that I almost felt like going to the restaurant to kick his ass. If I were chinese I would go over there and beat him up for giving chinese people a bad name.

Good authentic Chinese food. My favorite dishes to order there is beef ginger hot pot and hot and sour soup. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Lynnwood and Edmond's area. Service is good... I would definitely recommend bringing friends and family here.

I love this place! We came here for the wedding rehearsal party. We reserved 4 tables and ordered the family set menu. The food arrived fairly quickly and at the same time for every table. The service was a bit slow, because it was on a Friday night and the whole place was packed. I loved everything that was on the table. There were about 10 dishes in the set menu. It was a well balanced combination of vegetable, seafood, and meat. The jelly fish was excellent. My favorite has to be the lobster and crab fried noodles. This place is great for family gatherings or a quick take-out.

Still looking for a Hawaiian Chinese crispy noodle. I got a seafood crispy noodle chow mein. Note on the menu that chow fun is in parenthesis. So you can order chow fun instead. The noodles were fresh and crispy and the seafood sauce, which was delicious, was poured over it with samplings of shrimp, a whitefish, squid or octopus, and I think a fishcake., plus good bak choy. Overall, the dish was piping hot, but for some reason some of the seafood was room temp. I think there was no ambience, the waitress answered all my questions without a smile. Restaurants have to learn that being friendly to customers is half the battle of making a good impression and creating an appetite. There is no gau chee, no cake noodle. There are many lunch specials, so look around before ordering. The signs are hanging by the cash register. I think it's a fine restaurant for people who don't care about ambiance or for people who like takeout. The dives in Chinatown in SF and Honolulu have more atmosphere. Lunch specials are around $5, my dish was $10 because I ordered a dinner dish, which is in keeping with other Chinese restaurants. Yes, I would go again for takeout.

T&T is a pretty typical Cantonese style seafood restaurant. You don't come to a place like this for decor, ambience, or to propose to your girlfriend. No, you come here because you can see the lobster or carp that you are about to eat while it's still swimming. The food is decent, especially for Seattle. They even serve stuff that you may not expect from a Cantonese restaurant, like Peking duck, which is quite good. Although I am not from Beijing, I am of northern Chinese extraction, so I believe I am a fair judge of Peking ducks!

My parents don't think most Chinese food restaurants are good being asian themselves but they love the food here. That's a pretty high bar too. This is what I look for in a Chinese restaurant. Live fish in tanks, crowded tables, and dirty bathrooms. That's how you can tell it is good. All kidding aside, we usually eat here for special occasions like birthdays or graduations. I am a big fan of the duck and the fried pork. We have had so many dishes here it is hard to describe them all but honestly, I have never had a bad dish here. The lobster is also great, it comes with a nice seafood sauce and noodles. I don't know why people are complaining about the service. I think the service is usually fine, servers at Chinese restaurants aren't going to lay the napkin in your lap, but as long as they take your food order, bring you food and drinks, and bring you the check in a timely manner, then it is ok. This is really the only option for me when my parents come into town since my Dad will usually complain about how the food is just mediocre or how he could cook it better at home. That should be enough of a review for anybody who has picky asian parents.

Environment: OK Food: Slightly above average Service: Poor Price: OK The place was pretty big and clean, which is a plus because when the dim sum cart blocks your way, you can always walk around easily. The dim sum dishes are OK. Definitely not as good as Jade Garden or even Noble Court, but a little better than Top Gun. Decent but not impressive. The skin for shrimp dumpling is too soft so it always broke, and the skin for pan fried shrimp and chive dumpling is way too thick. The best choice is beef meatball, which is very juicy and tender. Service is terrible. The soy sauce bottle was mistakenly marked with vinegar, the waiter with 80s style long hair was so busy chatting with other waiters that we got hard time getting is attention, we had to order water twice to get a glass of water. Simply poor service. In general, just an OK place not worth returning unless you really crave for some dim sum and happen to be around the corner.

Our family has been eating here ever since T&T used to be a tiny little restaurant with poor lighting and that's saying something seeming as we only eat authentic Asian food at home... The food really is pretty authentic here. We have signature dishes we basically choose every time we go, but I'm pretty sure you could order anything off the menu and it'd be good! My favorite dish ever since I was a kid has been the honey walnut prawns (mmhm). Beware: clarify whether you want American broccoli or Chinese broccoli for dishes that contain it... I must say that dim sum is not their strongest suit. Although it is much closer to us then dim sum restaurants downtown, if I want quality dim sum I'd go downtown. Dish sizes are perfect for family sharing. To go lunch boxes are generous as well. The sucky thing about this place is their service... We know every time we dine there that we have to nag them about bringing us water at least twice. Oh and they almost never refill either. I think their food makes up for the fact that service isn't their top priority.

Conveniently located in Edmonds, good for quick "dim sum" fix if you'd rather not drive all the way to Seattle and on a positive note, there are plenty of free parking. I want to be a fan however, they are not qualitative as far as service goes. I mean, they have good food and I would give my 4 stars but I happen to keep asking someone to please bring me some water and perhaps hot tea? So, I wait patiently. I wait...and... wait some more, then I'm disappointed. The dim sum carts have came up and served me and still, no water. It would've been enjoyable if i had something to drink in between bites. I had to go to the register and ask there for something to drink. I had one round of dim sum then I took off.

standard traditional I.D. Chinese restaurant in the north end. Location is the only reason we go here versus any other Chinese restaurant, and that's only when the "older generation" makes the pick. Frankly, there are too many other options to try around town now.

We come here almost every weekend for dim sum. The restaurant is quite large and there's ample parking. They are located in the Ranch 99 supermarket shopping center off of Hwy 99. They get quite busy around noon so make sure you drop by early. You write your name on their waiting list near the door and if you opt to share a table then you will get seated faster. We stopped making the drive to the ID because parking was a hassle and the waits for dim sum were way too long. The kitchen opens at 11, but they are already serving some dim sum dishes in the carts before then. If you want chow mein, rice rolls or gai lan then you have to wait until 11am. This place definitely satisfies our dim sum cravings. Our favorites are: pork and thousand yr egg congee, chow mein, tripe, shu mai, beef and cilantro rice rolls, and several other dishes that I don't know the specific names.

I'm a regular here now because my parents have recently become obsessed with this restaurant. They love the large menu, quick service, reasonable prices, and for the most part, large portions. Quality-wise, the food is just okay. Not great, but not bad either. We've enjoyed pretty much most of the dishes we've tried from noodles to salt and pepper pork to fried rice to pig's feet to tofu pots to honey walnut shrimp. 3 stars for an average overall experience... and I'll probably be back next week!

Mediocre dim sum food. Family style dishes taste much better. There's usually a wait for a table for dim sum but it's never past 15 mins. Some of the dim sum dishes, like tripe or shrimp dumplings, can be soggy. Majority of the dishes are oily but that's like every dim sum place. Not my top place to get dim sum but it's closer than driving to chinatown and the boyfriend likes it there so I have to deal with it.

I grew up in San Francisco and I have been mostly disappointed by most of the Asian food available in the Puget Sound. The really good stuff seems to be ridiculously expensive and mostly requires waiting in line for hours. The food is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. The Dim Sum is reasonable. The only time there is a line is for the Sunday morning Dim Sum family brunch. I heartily recommend the 8 ingredient duck dish.

Loved the food. Service was good and we will definitely go again! We went for my sons birthday and each of us ordered two dishes each to share and we would love to go again and try different dishes, lots of variety to chose from and the restaurant filled up very fast and service did not suffer from a full house.

I wanted to give this place 4 stars but couldn't because of the aloof and slow responsive service. I read the Yelp reviews on here prior to coming to be sure I was prepared and honestly, my experience was a combination of what other folks wrote on here. The food is actually pretty good-we came here for dim sum around 10:30 a.m. on a Sunday. We were escorted to a table for 2 right next to the bathroom and said "no thanks"; seriously, who wants to sit next to an area where folks are doing their business. So we waited 10 minutes and got a corner table-there were folks who came in after us and they got seated about 5 minutes after us and they were closer to the kitchen than us so they got served much faster than us. We waited at least 15 minutes before a dim sum cart to come by, SIGH!!!! I was so hungry, LOL. The congee was so yummy though, thank goodness-it was warm with hints of ground pork and salted egg (I wish they offered a Chinese doughnut with it though). The usual suspects were avail and pretty good too including pork shumai, shrimp balls, and pork spareribs. We asked for gai lan (Chinese broccoli) and they said it would be out in 10 minutes....but twenty five minutes later, it never came so we paid our bill. My neck hurt after awhile because I kept looking around for some help but didn't get any feedback til the end of our experience. We never got any water and our tea was never refilled but it was fresh and hot. We will probably will be back with lower expectations just because the food is that good. The dim sum cart ladies will talk on their cell phones while serving you FYI, ugh, really?! TIP: When being seated for dim sum on weekends, ask to be seated on the right side of the restaurant (when you walk in, facing the main station, right of that). That's because the carts come straight from the kitchen nice and fresh.

For mornings and lunch, the dim-sum is wonderful, usually a line though, about 20 minutes waiting depends on the party, and not accepting reservation for din-sum. For dinner, it becomes family style, big dishes to share, and the food is not nearly as good as din-sum, totally not worth the price they are charging. I would recommend the din-sum. Just get there early to avoid the line. For dinner, I would tell you try other places.

Come in for dim sum on a weekday at lunch time! You won't have a problem then! A group of 8 of us came in at noon to send a coworker off. We were seated promptly, food carts came out with piping, hot food, given tea, and had to request water but they refilled glasses. Very attentive and helpful staff! With tip, we each paid about $12 and we were all stuffed! Favorites like crispy taro, turnip cake, lotus leaf rice, and shrimp this and shrimp that. Yum yum yum! Didn't feel all gross and bleh afterwards too, a plus!

It is located next to the 99 Ranch supermarket, but the Dim Sum was mediocre. Service was bad. The food cart was never around us.

Duck, Duck, Goose When it comes to chinese food, my new family seems to go where i have never gone before. This has led to some wonderful restaurants (judy fu, chiang's gourmet) and Tnt. Maybe it's because I went with my inlaws, but the service was spot on. My water was always full, the food came out piping hot and the service was pretty good. meaning, they were prompt to get us whatever we needed when asked. Sure, they don't dote on you like they should at fine dining restaurants, but most chinese restaurants are just a step above a buffet. You should go in knowing that you won't have a server coming by asking how the food is, or if you need anything. You order, you eat, you pay and then you leave. simple. If you need anything, just stop any one employee that's near you and ask them for whatever you need. hot sauce, water, tea, fork, etc. You just need to be extra assertive and know that it's not rude when you stop one of them and ask them for something, even though it's not the person who took your order. I would give this place three stars for their food overall, but i was very impressed by their peking duck. I hate it when the duck is overly cooked or the skin is soggy, but this place made some juicy duck with extra crispy skin. yumyumyum and gave us extra scallions to make our little sandwiches. I also really liked their fried fish dish which wasn't crazy over the top drowning in sauce. The garlic ponzu sauce that it came with was super tasty that i ended up pouring it over my rice. By the end of the meal, all plates were clean and bellies were full. I'll definitely come back again, especially for their peking duck.

Really good place up north! When ever I'm in the area I go here for Chinese food! Great for big parties, and the staff is nice. Right next to the 99 Ranch too which is a plus if you're waiting for a table. Parking lot is a bonus. Food is tasty, I love the food here. No complaints.

I went here for specifically for dim sum on Saturday. The price is not bad and the food is good. Like the other reviews, I have to agree that the service was painstakingly slow. This was mainly because there was only one cart roving for the whole restaurant. One thing I did not read but quickly discovered was that the selection was very minimal. They did have something I don't see everyday though, honeycomb tripe in addition to the book tripe most places serve. I recommend this place if all you want is shumai and shrimp balls. I live on the north end and thought I'd give it a go. Now I can say I've tried it. Next time I'm going to Seattle or Bellevue because I am about the variety.

One star for good food but there is no service. You have to ask for everything, get your own check, get your own togo box, make sure order is coming. If not, you will just sit there..... We ordered Honey walnut shrip for our two boys but after 25mjn we asked about it and server stated, " I think they forgot, do you still want it"? Um.... why do you think we ordered it....

T&T has been a go-to for my family for years for Chinese food, especially since we live in Shoreline and it can be a pain in the poobah to drive to Chinatown. Its not super great and it makes you want to sleep for hours afterwards, but its not horrible. I want to say it used to be better before they moved to the Ranch 99 location. The service is pretty awful. We waited for five minutes before anyone noticed us to seat us (and this is almost 2 PM, after the lunch rush). Our waiter took forever to get us the check, and then forever again to bring it back to us. The couple next to us, who were seated and served after us, left before we did. They were also seated really uncomfortably close to us-- it was like we were one party, that's how close the table was and a 1/3 of the dining room was wide open. Usually, Chinese places treat Chinese people better because there's a better understanding of the norms and customs of people, but I guess not this place. The food was okay. The seafood e-mein was a little bland. The tea was weak. The satay beef chow fun was tasty (always a favorite of mine) and the salt and pepper chicken wings a little on the dark side. Did they always charge for tea? Now its $1/person, but they don't tell you that upfront or on the menu. They just ask you, you say yes, and you see it on the bill. We'll still come to this place because its close. But maybe take-out would be better.

Typical Chinese restaurant, located in south of Edmonds, by the 99 ranch. The food is decent, the service is crap, the server were trained by a plumber and garbage collectors. After 4 empty water glasses, and 5 x to request for water, and grumpy server, I'm surprised they're still in business! Their lemon chicken was super dry, their crispy noodle chicken was ok, the Asian mainland folks doesn't really see you, and STILL run you over. Granted they're somewhat organized, but, just don't ever expect 5 star services from ANY Chinese restaurants! #AngryChinesePpl #BadService #ShitHole #ChineseFood

Awful service, but food is okay when you don't want to drive all the way down to the ID. The restaurant was not too busy when we came in, but service was lacking, severely. There were about 4 waiters just standing behind the counter talking and doing whatever, our tea and waters were never refilled. We had to flag the gal down for a box for our leftovers and our bill. We ordered clams in black bean sauce (decent), honey walnuts prawns (okay), chinese broccoli with various mushrooms (good). I agree the tea didn't taste fresh and tasted like re-warmed old tea. Might give them another try, and hopefully it will be better.

If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars. I've been coming here since I was young & the restaurant was located in Seattle. It's hard to find a Chinese restaurant that tastes authentic outside of Seattle so T&T is a gem on levels. My go-to dishes are the house fried rice, the salt and pepper squid, the clam sautéed in black bean sauce, but the list goes on. I haven't had a bad experience here after all these years & don't see one arising anytime soon. Not only that, but they serve a deliciousssssss dim sum as well. My only tip would be to come early because it definitely gets packed on weekends!

OH MY WORD. The quality has gone down immensely (I think because the chef works at Hong Kong Dim Sum in Lynnwood off of 164th - which IS REALLY GOOD, BTW AND HAS AMAZING DIM SUM!!!), but yeah let me tell you this: THE RICE (PLAIN AND WHITE) WAS BETTER THAN THE FOOD. I ordered my favorite dish, Honey Walnut Prawns and it arrived with GOBS of mayo and on a bed of mayo/dressing with lettuce. What the hell was that? It was completely inedible but I was hungry so I tried to manage. My friend order the almond chicken and to me, the sauce was really weird and the chicken was wayyyy overcooked. The tea that came out was absolutely disgusting, too. It's probably been steeping for a week (it was so dark) and the taste was awful. When I poured the first cup for my friend a load of bubbles poured out into the tea cup and I was like, what the heck was that? I've never seen tea bubble before (as if someone had spit in it or from soap bubbles)... not even bubble tea. Also, your complimentary "che" at the end was all corn syrup, super eggy, with leftover pieces of corn and tiny amounts of tapioca. Pay attention to how you make your food in batches because this is poor quality! Okay, yeah, cute that you have your 12th man flag up but your food needs vast improvement. I would advise people to spend their money elsewhere because T&T is not worth it until they start training their chefs to make better food and take care of daily things, like cleaning out your tea maker.

This was my go to Dim Sum spot. Their Dim Sum is still better than anything that I've had in the Seattle area, however their service has become deplorable. My family gets there 20-30 minutes after opening. There are usually plenty of tables and the carts that are moving at a decent pace. However, on our recent visit to T & T the manager, Mr. Flagrant Hair-Plugs, makes us and others wait by the door as he yucks it up with seated patrons of his choosing, all while over half the tables are available and in areas that are being served. When we are finally shown to our table, off in a corner, their is no friendly greeting, just an annoyed look and pointing. We are not offered a highchair, water, nothing of the sort. We are not even brought tea, until I flag down a waiter ten minutes in and ask for tea. When we are brought tea, we are brought a rusty metal tea pot, the other patrons I mentioned earlier, who have the keen attention of Plugs, have nicer porcelain tea pots which are regularly attended to. Next we wait and wait for carts. Carts go from the kitchen, to other side of the room, back to the kitchen, and then back to the other side of the room. There is apparently no rhyme or reason to T&T's cart madness! I finally ask one of the ladies pushing a cart that does manage to come our way if one of the other carts that has items we desire will be coming our way. Her response is quick, "Eventually." It never does.

Terrible service. Workers eat while they serve and the wait is unbelievably long for how slow it is. Would give it negative stars if I could! The workers eat out in the dining area like freaking savages, letting the food fall out of their mouths while they eat. One guy served some customers a plate of food and sniffed it before he served it to them. Waiters are rude and they don't pay attention. If you want ebola, I highly recommend you eat at this place.

When I'm with friends or the boyfriend, this place does not come up in my mind. But when I'm trying to figure out where to eat with my parents/family, we end up here a lot. My parents aren't as open with trying new restaurants and I give up suggesting. Therefore we go here. *sigh* I am not saying the food is horrible bc clearly there's a reason I still come here (aside from the parents' choice issue). It's just the service is bleh. I usually don't care too much about service when it comes to Asian restaurants but when its flat-out rude, it turns you off. For example, I came here during dimsum with the family. They barely eat dimsum and aren't familiar with all the potential dishes. So my sister asked what else were in the cart and the waitress gave some sass back. "What do you mean what else" or something like that. In my head I was like RUUUUUUUUDE. but my sister blew it off since we all don't usually deal with confrontation at restaurants. usually it reflects on the tip (but then again, I'm not sure how much my dad tipped during this trip). But anyways, food is coo...good enough for my family & I to come back. I mean it's very convenient for us and familiar to my parents.

You get what you pay for, I guess. Went for Lunch special (11am-3pm), really reasonable prices, with a party of 3. We were not greeted when we came in. They assumed we were there for the dim sum, I didn't like that. The special comes with soup, the waittress asked either "flower egg soup or hot n sour soup?", to 1 member of our party. Then she failed to ask the remainder of the party for which soup we wanted. So of course I got the hot n sour, which I dislike. But they fixed that. Then the #8 was dish I ordered was the wrong dish, but they fixed that. I also had to keep asking for drinks. They seem like they are always rushing, I didn't like that. Poor service. Reasonable price. They write in a foreign language, so good luck with trying ro dispute the bill...

Rating is for dinner only.... Made reservations for large party and got seated pretty fast. 5* Food ordered and flavor 5* Customer Service 4* Portion size 5* Prices are on the higher end if ordering live seafood only which is okay. (what you pay is what you get) Recommend and will return next time we are in the area

I just love how people give reviews with 1 or 2 stars because the server or host looked at them strange or because they didn't speak Chinese then say the food is good or great and will be back again. I mean come on people it's a Chinese freaking restaurant. That said I'm giving this a 4 star based on the best dim sum I can find outside of Seattle. Service is great because I'm not a princess expecting to be doted on everywhere I eat. They bring you tea and water when you ask when seated and the carts just come around. Now I'm hungry!

Dim sum here is fantastic. Yes, there is a language barrier and most of the time, the servers look like evil bastards. That, however, does not take away from the delectable dishes they serve for dim sum. My favorites are shrimp siu mai, steamed bbq buns and honey walnut prawns. Besides dim sum, their lunch specials are incredibly cheap compared to nearby Chinese restaurants. I believe they run from $5.25 to $6.50. They are easily accessible via WA 99. Parking may be tough during peak hours. Just disregard their rude disposition and focus on the amazing food. You should be fine.

This place is pretty good food wise, but I swear they have one of the worst service, busy or not. I still somehow keep on coming back, for one reason only, those honey walnut prawns are to die for. Everything else is pretty basic for what you pay for. If you plan on coming here, expect for your orders to be taken 20 minutes after they seat your party, then take another 40 for the food to arrive. And water refills are almost impossible to get. They have an army of servers but they all seem to be wandering off.

The only thing that saved this review was that they had good sticky (mochi) rice. I always order shrimp and chive dimsum. It is my THING. So when they brought out the pan-fried shrimp and chive dimsum I was excited. Sadly, the wrap was very thick and tasted like oil. Old oil. Even my girlfriend was like, YUCK. Their sticky rice on the other hand was yummy. And their shrimp look fun was okay. You can't really go wrong with shrimp look fun. All in all, I don't think I'll be back if I can find a better dimsum place up north. Their service sucked.

This place is huge! Always crowded. Food is 4 out of 5 but the service here is HORRIBLE!!! Most of the employees there don't really speak English and seem annoyed when you ask them for water, spoons, forks or to-go boxes (they only provide chopsticks and soup spoon) and let's face it, not everyone can use chopsticks especially kids! :/ The lunch specials are great and cheap. The guy manager is quite nice and accommodating but the rest of the staff are just grumpy and rude! They also need to improve the cleanliness (utensils and bathroom). Other than that, this place has a huge potential to be more successful.

Don't like this place. Bad food and staff seems to only wanna help people that are Chinese. I'm sorry but we are all equals guys. I'm almost certain I was giving old food because I was in my work clothes and white. Rude workers. Food was cold

Decent food but went there with my wife and 2 year old for dim sum.bWe paid with our card and included a 7 dollar tip so our total was about 55 or so. We got home, checked our account and noticed that they actually charged us almost 70 dollars. They told us that the charge was for tip. It was only me and my wife, plus my daughter didn't even make a mess. I would understand if we were a group larger than 4 but this is a little ridiculous.

Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Well we read the reviews and hadn't been here for years so decided to give it a try. We got there at 7 and were promptly seated. We ordered food at 7:10 (4 items). At 7:45 2 items arrived to our table. Other tables came and ordered and got all their food before we left at 8:15. Our other 2 items never arrived. The 2 items we did get were good albeit greasy. The mgr never came over to acknowledge we never got 1/2 of our order. We saw the order and rechecked that our waitress did order all four items. The kitchen just never made them.

Good Dim Sum for not going downtown... Staff needs improvement... Not the most accommodating. I usually get it to go now and avoid slow and unfriendly staff. But the dim sum is good, less variety than going downtown but they have my favorites so happy!

Been going here for a long time. Service is always horrible. You ask you for water and they just ignore you. You will be waiting forever. This hasn't changed since the first time we went. But the old people we go with likes this place and the stress. We are drawing away from this place. There are a lot better restaurants out there with way better food. This will be our last time going here

Some days I want to give this place 4 stars, some days 1, so I'm averaging it out at 2... DO NOT come here for Chinese New Year or Christmas, you will be waiting in the most ridiculous line (the mob of people overflowing out the front door must be a fire hazard) and the food will be horrible and the service even worse than usual. Anytime I've come here when it wasn't Chinese New Year or Christmas, this joint has delicious authentic Chinese food and is probably one of my favourite Chinese restaurants on the Westside. And while the service is always bad, it's not intolerable (as long as it's not Chinese New Year or Christmas).

My first time in. Lunch on a Thursday. The negative - very noisy, inattentive (rude) staff, slow service if you order off of the menu. The positive - great food, large portions, at a great price. Possibly the best $5.15 lunch I have ever had. Surely the best in the Seattle area recently. I'll put up with the negatives and come back.

SERVICE SUCKS..... We were in at 6pm, waited for about 20mins for them to take our order and even had to get their attention. Got our food around 7:30pm and by 8:35pm, our order was still incomplete..... We've decided to cancel the remaining orders that weren't served.... But the waitress kept insisting that it was "coming" but it never came... We kept asking for our bill, they never gave it. My dad had to go to the counter and get the bill himself, and FINALLY.... The remaining orders were served... But the server said that "OH. WE THOUGHT YOU WANTED YOUR FRIED RICE TO GO".... We had to argue with the servers about canceling the fried rice... But never did they cancel it out. Mmmmhmmmm.. Clever.... So that they would still charge us, when we've cancelled the order 30mins ago..... I used to love T&T, but they just don't know how to treat their customers. I was a regular customer too.... But their service.... Just sucks. They really need to hire better people with better customer service.

Went here for dinner to celebrate Lunar New Year eve with the fam. Place was starting to get crazy packed. Luckily, we had made reservations a few days beforehand. With almost a dozen people, we decided to go with the family-style prix fixe. Big mistake as it was a ripoff and food was mediocre. Would have been cheaper to select our own items. Although they had live crab and lobsters in the tank, the lobster tasted fresh, the crab not so much. Being Chinese and big seafood fan, I've had numerous dishes of sauteed crab so I know the difference between fresh and well, not so fresh. Another dish that was very disappointing was the peking duck wrapped in steamed bun shell. The bun shells were fluffly as they should be but very small. The shells are very inexpensive to make and should never be cheaped out on.

I would have given this place 4 stars maybe even 5 a long time ago but just recently came in to get take out. A lot of the food is delicious especially the hot pots. Unfortunately the older lady at the cash register was extremely rude to me because I did not want to sit down to do dim sum but would rather have take out. She continued to say that they're really busy really busy and was just plain rude and appeared annoyed. I stated that I would come back. I will not come back to this place because even though the place is busy, they should still take time to help out other customers.

I have been going to this restaurant for a long time. Their food is average okay which I have no complaining cause this restaurant is not located in Chinatown. However their service is sucks but I think already get use to it. Just a short lunch break so... I went there at noon as usual for dim sum, we had a parties of four people. Even though I putted cash tips on the table they still charged tips on credit card. WHAT!! We ONLY have 4 people, I mean if we have 6 or more people you are welcome to charge us. Or maybe they just wanted us to double tip them. Maybe they have been doing that for a long time. I normally pay with cash. AND there is no notice or whatever says that if you have a 4 people group we will charge you tips. Will I come back, yes I will. Will I ever leave good tip for you guys, there will be a no. There you go, if that is what guys want. Ps. Normally I will give 20% tip to them. I think that's reasonable and I do appreciate for their poor service.

went there on a Sunday morning with family. like the other reviewers had said, service is terrible, which is typical in a Chinese, especially Cantonese, restaurant. more to my disappointment is that they overcharge. we had nine dishes total, mostly ordinary dim sum plates such as shrimp dumplings and chicken feet. the bill came out to over $40. that's an average of $4 per plate before tax! I wonder if they charged me for the sesame ball that we returned because it had the "aged oil" smell. they must have not changed the frying oil for a while+_+ overall quality of the food is just okay. nothing worth going back for. I suggest that you ask for an itemized receipt when you dine there. I guess I won't be doing that since I am not going back!

This place used to be much,, much better.. I'm really sad seeing such a wonderful place once going down like a place you never want to come back. Customer service is just below average. I mean usually Chinese restaurants don't really have great service but their service was awful twice in a row. Their price went up ridiculously while the quality of food went down. I used to bring my whole family at least once a month. I don't think I'll be back anymore. I can find better Chinese food all over in Seattle area.

Being Asian and having lived in NYC now AZ for the past 7 yrs., I have been in need to satisfy my Asian roots and did so at T&T Seafood Restaurant when visiting my father in Seattle. Far drive from the city in traffic, we finally got there. We were a party of 4, disappointed from the start, that there was no fresh fish in the tank for steam fish, we ended up with Honey Walnut Shrimp, Sauteed Green Beans with Shredded Pork, Sizzling Black Pepper Beef Hot Plate, BBQ Duck, and Black Bean Clams. All the food came out hot and fresh, we were happy and satisfied with service, food and atmosphere.

I love this spot - plenty of parking, fast fresh authentic food, and good service. I had the salt and pepper deep fried sea bass - Best. Fried. Fish. Period. They use a combination of cilantro, jalapeño, red chile pepper, and green onions/fried scallions as garnish. It's almost like a Mexican fusion dish - amazing. Then I had the sizzling rice seafood soup. Always a comfort dish. Yum. Lastly I had the sautéed scallops with snow peas. Enough food to feed a family of four. Needless to say I had leftovers. Perfect quick meal with leftovers for tomorrow and Sunday!

This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's good, other times I feel like I'm tripling my daily sodium intake... The service on rare occasions is alright. This is my go to place if I don't want to drive out far to get decent Chinese food.

I will not come back ever again. The dim sum isn't close to being the best for me to endure the rudeness. I was a long time customer and was accustomed to their poor service, however, today was the last straw. The waitress taking my phone order handed over my call to the owner since I was taking to long to order 3 dim sum dishes. Seriously.... my phone registered my call lasting one min. Mind you I was speaking chinese so there's no miscommunication. I guess they are making too much money to care about their customers.....

The customer is not always right, at least not at T&T. I'm not a person that usually writes a review for restaurants. I've been to this location for this restaurant many times and every time it's customer service has gotten progressively worst. The food is actually pretty good, at times. I haven't visited T&T for a while, let's just say over a year. My family and I decided to get dinner there tonight. We ordered the deep fried sea bass with chili pepper, seafood with deep fried tofu hot pot, deep fried pork with BBQ. sauce, and sauteed beef with chinese broccoli. Everything was delicious; except our only complaint was that the fish balls seemed expired in the hot pot. We brought this up when a waitress walked passed by. They brought this dish back to the kitchen in which they "examined" the fish balls. The waitress comes back and tells us 15 minutes later that two cooks had tasted the fish balls and there was nothing wrong with those 2, when my mom, my brother and I all ate one and found a distinct taste. Mind you it wasn't our first time eating the seafood hot pot, so we have tasted what the fish balls really should taste like. So the waitress decides to actually argue with us that the fish balls were fine and that we were wrong. My family didn't expect them to cook another one for us neither did we expect them to discount the full price if any. Why? Let's go back to another visit that we had over a year ago. I was eating the deep fried sea bass and to my surprise I bit into one and there was; what other than a fish hook! It got caught perfectly on one of my molars so we didn't fuss about that. Did they give us any compensation then? No. In fact we had to pay full price. What I don't like about this restaurant is that they don't own up to doing wrong. It's always that the customer is wrong. Rant over, regardless to say I won't be eating at this restaurant anymore.

Food ok. Some of them are not hot even coming out of the hot steaming cart. Service VERY poor. Even they have a sign in waiting list to be seated, they do not go by that, and when you question them, they made a comment that " now it's your turn, do you still want to be seated?" What kind of service is that. Someone should open another dim sum restaurant to beat that kind of food quality and service.

An above average place for dim sum in Seattle, but seriously pales in comparison to the standards set in Vancouver, SF and LA. Normalizing for this with 4 stars. (3 stars only if compared to the Vancouver/SF/LA restaurants) There is a fair selection of items with standard dim sum offerings like pork dumplings (siu mai), shrimp dumplings (har gow) and shrimp rice rolls (cheong fun). You will find them on the carts making their rounds. However the shrimp filling tends to fall out of the dumpling skin/wrapper, and they turn chewy and sticky when cold. The line is long on the weekends so arrive early and write your name on the clipboard and wait to be called. I have no idea why dim sum in general isn't any better given the sizable Asian population in Seattle and the surrounding suburbs. I'm also appalled at what passes for great food in Seattle, places that receive 4 stars should receive 3. It's a decent enough spot to visit if you live nearby and are pressed for time. Beats driving downtown through traffic to the International District. Otherwise, do yourself a favour and drive across the border into Vancouver.

Pros: Location Parking Selection Cons: Quality Service Service is basically non-existed at this place. They started to vacuum around our table when the clock hit 9:00 p.m. to remind us to leave as soon as possible while we didn't get to order until 8:00 p.m. No choice of tea at dim sum time. Hard to find one or two waiters sporadically scattered in the restaurant. The portions are kind of small. Food quality is random. Some is good. Others are bad. Watch out for allergy reaction. I am not allergic to MSG. But some food always makes me chilling. Usually I only come here by friends' invitation. To solve Chinese food craving, the Chinese food court at Ranch 99 next door might be a better choice.

our family's favorite place for Chinese TAKE OUT. We know better than to dine in because they'll only bring out one dish at a time, which is lame when you want to eat a plate of variety. Excellent hong Kong style good. Good prices too.

Took my friends here yesterday and they are amazed with how good and delicious the food was. The house special lobster was the best, a little pricey but it's all worth every penny. Always full and very satisfied with the food every time I come and eat here. Just don't mind the servers, they are not too friendly but the food are absolutely delicious. Best Chinese food and dim sum place in town.

Craving Dim Sum for some time now, I was super stoked when my Dad suggested this place after church on Easter Sunday! I knew it would probably be pretty crowded and came with an open mind when it came to that........ Pulling up, I could see it was a madhouse already, but like I said I was already expecting it since it was Easter Sunday. Got our name on the list and it actually went pretty fast since the place is HUGE!!! We sat down in a pretty large table, their was only 5 of us but we didn't have to share which was nice. From here on is were it went down hill. The dim sum tray came around and meh, so disappointed! I tried the shu mai and the steamed hum bow, also a pork dim sum that looked sketch but like I said I have been craving dim sum and was pretty famished, oh did I mention I was 6 months pregnant at the time. The rest of the fam wanted to order from the regular menu so this place actually is a chinese restaurant that does a minimal selection of dim sum too. It took nearly 20 minutes to order from the menu and I hated eating my dim sum in front of them but they didn't seem to mind seeing how it really wasn't all that. Here's were I wanted to walk out.... as we were waiting for the food to arrive we had to ask our server atleast 4 times for water and I swear I saw him clear a table with glasses of water bring it to the back and return with the same glasses given to us!!! We all looked at the glasses all were barely drank out of, had finders marks on the rim, needless to say we all stuck with our tea and didn't touch the water. Food came 20 minutes after and it was mediocre. Don't plan on coming back to this place!

We went here a day after Chinese new years so it was still very crowded. They did not honor our reservations so we waited an hour. When food was ordered, it came to our table staggered, so that I was eating 1 piece of shrimp, waiting 10 minutes, then eating a small plate for noodles, waiting 10 minutes, etc You get the idea. Staff and service did not acknowledge or accomodate anyone who did not speak chinese. The food was decent though.

I have eaten here many times and have always found the service to he HORRIBLE. Yesterday was the last straw. I called at 215 and asked what time they served Dim Sum until. They said 4. We got there at 245 and they HAD Nothing and would not make anymore food. Just kept saying oh SOLLY out of that. They had dried up old dumplings and NO dry cart. Only a few things on the steam cart. I talked to the owners and they pretended to not understand me but had no problem talking in Chinese to each other about that I was saying. Bottom line sometimes its worth the drive downtown to House of Hong or Jade in the international district.

Food is good, my only reason for three stars is the service. Service isn't good here- it's decent. I usually go here on a Saturday afternoon for dim sum. It gets pretty busy, and it's hard to find parking. In terms of pricing, it's decent. If you have a large family/group dinner it's definitely the route to go!

Very disappointed the last couple times we've gone there for dim sum, and yesterday was shockingly terrible. We went at 10:30 am expecting big crowds for lunar new year which was last week. Plenty of tables open still so we were seated immediately. Fortunately a cart came by fairly soon with steamed varieties. But after that there was no service, and I mean NONE. I noticed people had been sitting there waiting but no carts of food and no waiters came through. They were looking around for waiters but none came by. We never did get any more dim sum carts come by and figured waiting was a waste of time. Yet they were still seating customers and more customers were waiting to get seated. The dim sum wasn't hot and even asking someone to bring a specific dish didn't do any good. He just blew me off. No apologies from management who stayed behind the counter. Very sad. I hope they improve because bad service is a poor excuse for restaurant failure.

Came here on a weekday. Their dim sum was ok, can't compare to what I'd had in Vancouver. We ordered the lunch special as well and it was nothing special. I can get better chinese food at the mall food court.

Food is good! The service is horrible and disorganized!!! Gave us the wrong plate of food and when I told the waitress, she made a face and very strongly insisted that's what I ordered! I mean, I knew what I ordered! We wanted chicken and they gave us seafood. Instead of fixing the problem, she tried to convinced us that we did order seafood? How rude is that?? I strongly suggest that they should hire some professional waiters and waitresses who know how to communicate and be nice to customers! 3-star rating is totally for the food because it's delicious. The service is terrible!! I have been there about 10 times and the service has always been not so good!:(. Fix it before you lose a long term customer like me!

Came here for a dinner in the middle of the week and was seated right away. A party of seven at a table of 10, I'll put up with it. Tea always hot when refilled. Service was quick and above average. Detailed. Ordered in an a la carte fashion, a variety of dishes. Atmosphere was quiet, I could hear across the table. One of the better Chinese restaurants around Seattle, not as oil heavy/greasy as other restaurants.

If the Hot and Sour soup hadn't of been so good, this would have been 1 star. The chicken wings were terrible, the chicken fried rice was bland, but the hot and sour soup was wonderful. Saved the entire meal. However, they wrote the bill in Chinese and I am SURE I was overcharged. One plate of rice, chicken wings and soup was $30? Is that really possible? I wish I had asked for a menu to look at it. The others in the restaurant received a dessert - perhaps some rice something, I don't know we weren't offered any. All I know is that I won't be returning.

I was back again today at lunch. Cripes it was busy! Many people were ordering dim sum but I wanted some szechuan beef. I had to wait a bit for the food but it was worth it. The beef was crispy and came with a thick sauce that included green onions.

Maybe I've just become spoiled by the plethora of great, authentic Chinese restaurants in and around Seattle. They seem to be everywhere now, so they have to do a lot more to stand out from the crowd. This one is decent, but I can't really find much with it to call outstanding. It does have the benefit of being located right next to a great Taiwanese supermarket (I wonder whether these guys do their shopping there...), but it's in a location that I hardly ever visit, so I'm thinking it's not worth it. T & T isn't bad, though. It just doesn't match up to similar restaurants in King County. I've seen this restaurant get full of customers in the past, and when that happens, it's excusable for the place to be a little dirty. There weren't that many the last time I was here, and the place still looked like it could use a little tidying. It's not a huge deal since some of the ones in the International District are even worse. Anyway, I came here with my family of five people and ordered five dishes. They started arriving about fifteen minutes after we ordered them. That kind of wait is a bit on the long side, but it's not a huge problem. Pretty much everything we ordered was good. Their deep-fried pork chop came in huge chunks and was only $7.80! One of my favorite dishes here is the assorted seafood with Japanese tofu. The tofu is soft and juicy, not that tough and flavorless kind you get at other places. It also comes with a lot of thick sauce that goes great with white rice when the two are mixed. Some of the other dishes, while still good, are a bit of a disappointment. The sauteed prawns with cashew nuts looks like a bunch of vegetables just randomly thrown together onto a dish. The beef with ginger and green onion hot pot is just what the name says; the ingredients get put together in a pot and that's about it. And the sauteed green beans with shredded pork is just green beans with bits of pork sparsely scattered about--probably not worth $8.80! I guess I shouldn't complain too much about the price. The food isn't terribly overpriced, but it's nothing to write home about. Service was also pretty average. The waitress apparently forgot one of our dishes, but she didn't know which one. As a result, the green beans came about twelve minutes after the other ones, but she did apologize for the mishap. Another part that could use some improvement is the inclusion of appetizers and desserts (there are none). The restaurant altogether isn't a terrible place, but you could just do your shopping at 99 Ranch Market and get a better deal for food there.

It is one of the best Chinese in the North end.there alot of parking so you don't have to pay. I love their Cantonese Spicy Chicken. Also the other dish is sole with eggplant stir fry with black bean sauce.

Oh, this is sooooo sad. We returned. We felt as though we were interlopers in 'their' restaurant. We weren't greeted by anyone until we caught someones attention on the fly - met with a genuine 'grunt' and pointed to a table. Brought hot tea and menus immediately but really wanted some ice water ... didn't get it until the meal was brought out. At that point, we'd only ordered one dish, the Honey Walnut Prawns, but they were drenched in mayonnaise although edible if you scraped the excess off. After a few bites we thought perhaps ordering some more rice and another dish, something with chicken, would be good. We could NOT get anyone to return to our table - never saw the waitress again until we literally pushed our plates away from us and then the bill arrived immediately as if to tell us we'd eaten and now it's time to pay up and leave. It was horrible! From our first time in October to now, the second of December, this restaurant has completely and totally disappointed and disillusioned us. I have no idea what happened between now and then - perhaps new management? Just don't know and at this point, don't care. We will never return.

My review on T & T dim sum: The reason I gave a star is because when I paid using a "gift card" (in the form of credit card payment), they automatically charged me 20% tip on top of the food I ordered without asking my permission. They didn't say anything when they gave me the receipt. I found out about it later on when I tried to use the gift card, the remaining balance is much less due to the 20% tip T & T deducted from the card. I got ripped off.

Terrible wait service. The noodles for seafood chow fun dish weren't fully cooked. Had to wait 20 minutes just for a waitress to cone to the table to take our order. Speak people walked by our table while we waited for service and ignored us. It was even worse when we told the hostess, who did try to help. She told the owner and the owner says we were scolding the hostess.

Hands down they have the best hot and sour soup. They have good dim sum. Good seafood options and very fresh and well prepared. Portions are large, family style. Service is very hit or miss. I have learned over the years that I get amazing service when I come here with Asians. Anytime I am at a table of only "white" people the service is horrible and nonexistent. T&T is in my area so I tend to frequent it, can't say I would drive out of my way to go here (well maybe for the soup).

Definitely one of the better restaurants around Edmonds area. At least it looks like a restaurant, not like a student cafeteria. Food is acceptably good for the price. Service is lacking as they seem overwhelmed. That's a good thing because they are understaffed so that means you pay for the food, not for the service. We ordered a seafood fried rice and it was fresh and tasty and portion was huge. Worth trying out for lack of good real restaurants in the area.

Pretty decent Chinese restaurant located north of Seattle. You'd have to trek all the way down to the international district and hassle with parking to find better. I've dined here a couple dozen times over the last 3 or 4 years. If just rating the food I would give it 4 stars. Rating it a 3 due to inconsistent service, you'd really have to be patient especially during busy times. Aside from service it's not bad. Seafood is their specialty so if you're a fan of seafood you won't be disappointed with the fresh seafood and good selection of dishes available here.

Just because it's in Edmonds, Wa doesn't mean it's not all Asian--this Dim sum restaurant passes the Grandmom's test--(if there are enough asian grandmom's in the place it must be good)-- In fact --if you are of the Caucasian race you may be the only one there--don't get intimidated-- just get a number and wait your turn--it's that good--worth the wait--the line goes fast--check out the asian curiosity shop or the all asian grocery store next door--on second thought-- wait until you're eaten--all the usual suspects and more--Al

I don't know about what I've read from other reviewers about the service being better if you are with Asians, I've always had fantastic service here. The food is hot and fresh and beautifully prepared. The tripe is fantastic, the lotus rice is out of this world, the coconut jello is PERFECT, the steamed things are wonderful. I had a braised brocolli that was really divine. I love this place. It is well-lit and you can raise your hand at a wait person and they will bring what you need. This restaurant takes the needs of its customers seriously.

I'm always back and forth on what I think of T&T. For me, the biggest perk is that it's the closest Chinese restaurant to home. And their honey walnut prawns aren't bad either. I also like their hot and sour soup when I'm feeling sick. Cons, the dishes aren't always so clean. I know I'm a little picky about that kind of thing, but on more than one occasion my utensils, tea cup, and plate have had leftover food particles on it. It's like an instant way for me to not be hungry. Some of their food is unappetizing. I don't like the lemon chicken, it's way too lemony with a Pine Sol aftertaste, and their salt and pepper cod is a little heavy on the salt. I also don't believe in paying for tea if they just set it on your table, and I don't think I should have to ask for water which I have to do EVERY time. In a pinch, it'll satisfy a craving, but otherwise there's probably something better somewhere else.

Went back for dinner last month and had a much better experience ordering off the menu. Seems service varies with the crowds, had attentive service and food arrived hot and tasty. Honey walnut prawns, salt n pepper pork chops, beef chow fun noodles and the Chinese long string beans were our favorites. Fried chicken was a bit too greasy and odd tasting. Four of us ate well for about $75 before gratuities.

Dining here with my children this evening was a strange experience. They seated us next to the front door so cold air could blow on us even though the rest of the place was practically empty. My son changed his mind about his order five minutes after we gave our orders. I asked if it was too late to change it and the waitperson said "Yes, it is already made." Then she came to our table five minutes later and asked what dish my son wanted instead of the one he ordered. We told her and she came back later to say no, they could not change it, his dish was already made. My daughter and I got the two dishes that we ordered and my son sat there for over fifteen minutes without food, cause, hey, his dish was already made! We were almost done by the time he got his food. They never served us water so I requested it. They brought two glasses of water for three people. The food wasn't that great either. These people are clueless.

No thanks. We went there for my bf's cousin's son's (first cousin once removed??) 1st bday. Why a 1 year old needs a banquet birthday party is beyond me but I guess it was a good excuse to gather, eat, and drink. We must have had 12 courses at each table but unfortunately, nothing was that good. The lobster noodles that came at the end were flavorless. The walnut shrimp was lacking in both walnuts and large shrimp. The clams we had were tiny and gross. The cold cut appetizer plate was not appetizing. The only dish that was above average was the steamed fish. But seriously? 1 out of 12 is not saying much. The best part was the booze we brought.

This place is filled with liars. My family and I visited this restaurant Christmas day and anticipated the long holiday wait. However, we did not predict that we would have to wait two hours before being seated. The process of determining which parties would be seated next was like any other restaurant, variables such as time of arrival and party size were key factors. The wait list was mounted when you walked into the restaurant and with the open space layout anyone who was paying attention to the list and table availability could easily predict the next party that would be seated. Initially, the list indicated that we were fifth in line for large parties. Over the course of our wait, it was evident that the hostess and cashier were seating many latter parties of the same size before us. When I questioned, their responses were outlandish, stating "we overlooked the list," "the table size was too small for your group" (except they seated a larger group at that table), and "that table is already taken." It makes me sad that even on Christmas day, pathological liars (my assumption of the hostess and cashier) can still have it in their hearts to look someone in the eye and blantly lie. ... Anyways, food was like any other Chinese restaurant. For better service look elsewhere.

An Asian restaurant frequented by large Asian groups is an Asian restaurant worth visiting. -Confucius Okay, not really Confucius. Just me. But it's true! I don't even know if it's authentic. All I know is that it's quite delicious. This is family-style Chinese food. One of the better ones in the area. Service is okay. It is not really a part of many Asian cultures to have the "heeyyyy welcome!!!" kind of customer service that we anticipate from most American establishments. It typically doesn't translate to an inadequate experience (your water glasses will stay filled, they'd be more than happy to have you order more, etc., etc.)

Another dim sum run on a weekend to meet some friends. It was a bright and sunny day and people were out and about trying to take advantage of it. Once inside, I was promptly seated and the carts started rolling by. There wasn't a huge amount of variety but I was starving so I just started to fill the table. The food was pretty average....nothing stood out. Service was horrible. I ate for 30 minutes with no tea or glass of water making it to the table. Nobody even asked. I asked for a couple more dishes and although the staff walked away nodding their heads, the dishes never appeared. Your choices for dim sum are pretty limited north of Seattle, so this is still the best of the lot.

I've been here twice and enjoyed the food here both times. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, and the food is better than I've had at most places in Seattle. I recommend: - salt & pepper pork spareribs: crispy fried salty goodness - oyster claypot: plump oysters fried and then braised again in a sizzling clay pot - preserved vegetable w/fish: it's not cod, but the white fish is so oily and flaky, it might as well be Remember to ask for the "special economic" menu - it features cheaper home-style dishes that aren't on the regular menu.

Try anything with chinese broccoli. Not everyone serves that, but being next door to 99 Ranch probably ensures them a good selection of such veggies. It comes in what I believe to be an oyster sauce. hot and sour soup is amazing. I like the chicken and salt-fish fried rice. It's pretty tasty, but it may not be for everyone

Service was HORRIBLE! We ordered potstickers and it was served with Hair!! When we told the waiter about it, he said it wasn't hair and that it was some cleaning remains. Cleaning remains or hair, I don't care. NOT IN MY FOOD! We were never served any water with our meal. We asked for tea though after we finished our meal since no one ever came to check on us, and got back a pot that looked like it was submerged into a pail of tea with drops of tea dripping all over it! The food was good and I would definitely give credit for that. Try the fried rice with chicken and salted fish. REALLY TASTY!! Just unpleasant that tasty food has to be marred by poor service.

The Good: This was our local go to local Chinese joint before we discovered Taste of Sichuan near by. We like good cheap eats and we have eaten here 20 times or so. Our favorites are their kungpow chicken, bbq pork with tofu and vegetable, almond chicken, and Singapore chile chicken. Be sure to ask to see the "Economic Menu". The lunch specials are good and the portions are good. The not so good: You need to watch your bill here. Everything is written in Chinese then added up to one lump sum. The bill is almost ALWAYS higher and it is NEVER lower than the prices listed on the menu. The fist time we ate here was for dinner. The owner (wife) asked us if we wanted tea. I asked if it was included with dinner. She said 'yes'. The second time we ate here the bill was a bit too high. When I asked them to explain the owner (husband) said there was am .85 cent per person charge for tea. The bill was actually a bit higher than an extra .85 per person but this was how it was explained. We did not order tea, they just bring it to you then charge you for it. I went here for lunch. The bill was too high. I was told that "the duck he go up" by our waitress. The price change was not listed on the menu and the waitress did not inform me when I ordered. 8 times out of 10 our bill for our family of four is $3 to $4 higher than listed on the menu. TO THE OWNERS: this is a bad business practice. If you need to raise your prices then do so. Charge what you advertise. The bill may be written in Chinese but your customers who can not read Chinese are not stupid. Service can struggle here at times. If you want something you will generally need to flag someone down because no one is going to check to see if you have everything you want like forks, ice water, or mustard etc. We do not like the chow mein or lo mein here. The noodles seem under cooked and very oily.

Yum! I came here over the weekend with some friends to grab some dim sum. We arrived about 11:30 and were seated fairly quickly, which was great considering how popular the place was! Lots of people were eating and several groups were waiting to be seated. Immediately a food card came by and we loaded up: shrimp dumplings, pork buns, sticky rice, spring rolls, shumai, etc. We chowed down and kept getting more and more plates - everything was SO GOOD! We also got dessert - I really liked the coconut "pudding" they had. Very light and tasty. Service was good - the carts came around frequently and our water glasses were constantly refilled. Prices seemed fair to me. For four of us, the total was about $45 bucks and we were all totally stuffed. We even took a few things home with us. I will definitely be back here.

Food is good for not having to do down to the ID. Service is terribly slow. Don't recommend takeout. They take forever to pack it up. I've been waiting over 10 minutes now after paying for the good to be packed. It's probably pretty cold by now.

This is my family's current go to Chinese food place in the Shoreline/Lynnwood area. The food is always great and the service is always good. Can't beat the good prices and big portions. We now go here for dim sum instead of making the drive to downtown. Our favorites dishes - green beans, sea bass hot pot, fried rice, wok- chow fun, pork pot stickers, black bean chicken

The food is okay. But... rude rude rude!! ALL of the servers have an attitude like customers were an inconvenience. I'm not asking for much, I know there's a language barrier. But, everyone knows how to say a simple "thank you." When we ask for something they just walk away. I wasn't sure if they even heard me. Then some 10-15 later, it'll show up. Just HORRIBLE service from beginning to end. For anyone who cares about the whole experience -- not just how the food taste -- this is NOT the restaurant for you.

Recently moved to seattle so this is my first time eating at this restaurant. The sizzle short rib tastes great and their house special noodle soup was awesome. I originally only planned on getting those two dishes but decided to add another clam dish after the waitress's recommendation. Before placing my order, I specifically asked to make sure that the clams were fresh. THAT DISH WAS AWFUL!! the clams were not fresh and some of them even stinks. We then told the the waitress and the manager, but they insisted that all their seafood were fresh and it was reasonable for each clam dish to have few stinky ones. we were extremely disappointed because we felt that the waitress only recommended the clams because they needed to get rid of those that have been sitting in the kitchen for too long. So if you happen to stop by this restaurant, don't listen to their recommendation, just order the ones you like.

We didnt come here until like a year ago even though this restaurant has been around since 2005 (it says so on their FB page) but my husband and I are in love with the seafood soup, curry and seafood crispy noodles. These are what we eat almost every time. The service is great, compared to other Asian restaurants. The soup is somewhat more expensive than Jade Garden, but the quality and quantity are beyond the price. Try the lobster when you feel like spending a bit more. Its delicious too! :) And yes, come early enough to get the sweet soup dessert ! for free! :)

Yikes. Sub-par dim sum. Typical service you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. The dim sum was average at best. Nothing memorable. Not too sure about the actual menu items though. Hopefully it's cooked dishes and seafood dishes are better, but I am not expecting much.

Do you have any trousers with elastic waists or drawstrings? Have you not eaten all day? Then hop on Aurora and head south until you see Ranch 99 on your right. You'll see the restaurant on the corner of the strip mall, head inside for some decently priced Cantonese which will give you leftovers for lunch the next day. On grocery trips to the market, I've always seen this place full in the evenings and on the weekends. So I was surprised to see the restaurant was relatively empty when entered. I think we had just missed the lunchtime rush. We were gestured to sit anywhere and the waitress greeted us with menus, water and hot tea. There were three in our party and we thought we'd order the dinner for two with a large soup. It was the group consensus that the food would be enough for us and leave room for our later dinner engagement. The first course emerged expeditiously from the kitchen - a dish of cold sliced pork with hot mustard and ketchup and the hot and sour soup... in a TUREEN! It was an amazing amount of soup for three people, it could have easily fed four with everyone having two helpings if not three. The soup packed full of green onions, black mushrooms, beaten egg, and chunks of soft tofu in a vinegary peppery broth. I especially liked the fact the broth was flavourful and not overly thickened with cornstarch. The soup was still piping hot when the entrées hit the table. The first was a platter of green beans stir-fried with pork. I prefer my beans a little more shriveled in this particular dish but not overdone. On the vegetable doneness scale, I'd say they were crisp tender with an ingredient ratio of 1:4 in favour of the beans over the pork. The second dish was honey walnut shrimp. I looked forward to this but it ultimately was a disappointment with the table. The shrimp were fresh and well prepared, crisp and not thick with batter. The fault lie with the sauce - it overpowered the dish with too much mayonnaise. It was also impossible to scrape off the sauce so to get to the shrimp itself, we found ourselves pulling the sauced batter off and giving up after several ones. The last dish was the sizzling black pepper beef hot plate. Full of onions and beef, this was the table favourite. The beef was tender and had a lot of straw mushrooms, one of my favourites. The onions were still crisp and not overcooked and the flavour overall was peppery as promised. The steamed rice was well done and tea flowed freely. The bathrooms were clean but I wish the service was more attentive. Our waitress began her afternoon meal and couldn't see our table when we needed water refills. We couldn't finish all of the food even with one entrée per person, there simply was too much food. If we didn't have a film to attend, I'd have brought the leftovers home. If we went back, I'd try some of their fresh seafood dishes which are their forte. I'll be sure to update my review when that happens and see if they gain more stars!

We always go ere when were craving Chineese food! They always laugh at us because we order so much food! Honey walnut prawns are delightful! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their seafood always tastes fresh and the dishes don't disappoint. Everyone we take guests there they rave about the food, they are usually Busy but the wait is worth it! Friendly staff and great atmosphere! Dim sum is a must too!

Update....still a crappy 1.5 stars... Went for Dim Sum, now granted it was the weekend before the New Lunar year, which in the Chinese-world, is a BIG deal... The place was totally packed, partly because of Ranch 99 market shoppers stopping by for a quick bite, but there were a few larger parties starting early on the New Year festivities. So, in my mind, you are big, and busy, and seemingly well staffed....can I safely assume things will run okay?? Nope....WRONG.... 6 in our party, got seated, had to wait for 2 dim sum carts, 2? Really? Just 2 S-L-O-W steam-cart workers, "working" at a snails pace, ugh.... Baked cart, just singular, "worker" seemed hurried but was able to hand over a few items, on them being my favorite all time fried taro with ground pork inside. Took a bite and almost tossed my cookies, hadn't my in-laws been there I would have tossed it at the server, it was cold, greasy, and smelled strange....apart form that, the "standards" were just "meh" at best.... The place smelled of butane fuel, it made my head spin.... Asked for water, got 4 glasses, when we asked about the other 2 in our party, the lady said she had to wait for clean glasses...the water never showed up.... I also didn't like seeing the servers hiding behind the counter eating leftovers....yuck.... I think I'm done with this place...

Only went here for Dim Sum, my first time actually. [= &&& I do have to say that I'll be back! Had Shrimp dumpings, sticky rice wrapped in leaves& Shao Mai. The shrimp dumplings were super yummy. As well as the Shao Mai. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY. The Sticky Rice wrapped in leaves had chicken & chinese sausages in it, talk about BOMB! Okay, the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the service, it took a while to get a servers attention to get us water & order to-go. After several failed attempts we finally had to walk up to one of the waitresses to ask for water. Other than that the food was delicious! [=

This was okay. It was located in the Ranch 99 complex. The food was fine but I didn't find it better than any other Asian restaurant. The Honey Walnut Prawns were fine but it didn't stand out from other restaurant's dish. Chow mein was fine too...However, I just didn't think it was clean in this restaurant. It was bright and well lit. But the condiments on the table were dirty and sticky. Some of it looked old and beyond its time. If you can't even handle the spoons because the handles are sticky with old stuff...It's just gross.

My family and I have been coming here for years. My wife is Chinese and we have never had a problem till the last year or so. They've adopted the worst customer service and arrogance I have ever seen in Seattle. Everything takes forever, and then it's wrong.... And then they argue in Cantonese loudly with my wife or her mother and point at me...? I'm not Chinese. I usually get the same thing most of the time. It's a battle to get it the same. It's as though there's a different chef every night and no one has agreed on a recipe. It's sad, my wife and I had some of our first real dates here years ago. But they have managed to push us out. We used to eat here every week and it was either the two of us or the whole family, 5 of us. I grew up in Vegas and tip good. Their loss. I give a star for the food. When it shows up right, and if it actually shows, it's really good. But feeling unwelcome and racially ostracized was the last straw. We'll never go again.

Came here last night for dinner with friends and the food was OK. We had a table for 8, ordered a ton of food, and the bill was about $12 per person. I would recommend coming here for dimsum though - I think the food was a little better. I remember we ordered the egg tarts and they were delicious!! Inside this place is really big though so it's great for large groups. Will most likely be coming back when we're up in the area again and are craving some Chinese food!

Quick and easy place to have a casual Chinese dinner!! The food is tasty for a reasonable price. The Mongolian Chicken is amazing, along with their Jellyfish, Salt and Pepper Cod and Fish Maw Soup!! Their dim sum is not as good as other places would be though. If you are allergic to peanuts, I recommend you NOT eating the dim-sum because I always seem to have a reaction and whenever I ask them what they used to cook it with they say "we use no peanuts".

One of the better Chinese restaurants in the greater Seattle Area. Good selection, very reasonable prices (compared to places in the International District) and authentic flavors! I've been to this restaurant many times with my parents and family, and for traditional Chinese parents to want to T&T when they're in the mood to eat out, it says something. Definitely a must try!

I would first like to say, I created a yelp account specifically to give a review on this restaurant because this is how adamant I am about how horrible this restaurant is. My family has gone to this restaurant since the very beginning when they were a tiny narrow restaurant, however through the years they have progressively become worse to outright disgusting. The last time my family came to this restaurant, my brother was eating a salt and pepper sea bass. As he was eating it, I later hear him yell out in pain. He opens his mouth and out shines a nice fish/squid hook. We later call the waiter over and he looks and says, how can there be a hook, rather than apologizing for the mishap. In addition to this issue, we waited over an hour for our food when there was only 2 other tables being served out of the whole restaurant. Then today (2/25/14), I decided to take my mom and family to the restaurant again to give it a try one more time. One of the dishes we ordered was the seafood hot pot. As I was eating it, I could tell something tasted different because we had ordered it many times in the past, but I said nothing. Later my mom takes a bite of a fish-ball and says, "This meatball is completely spoiled!" As soon as I heard that, I called the waiter over. The waiter immediately started giving excuses saying that it couldn't be, even though everyone in the party agreed the food tasted spoiled. Finally after convincing the waiter to take the food back, the waiter later comes back and says, "The two chefs in the back tasted your food and said that the food tasted fine, so there is nothing I can do. Do you want your hot pot back?" Immediately, I was infuriated because the waiter had the audacity to offer back our food that the chefs had rummaged through. I then looked back at him and said I didn't want the food back and just wanted the check for our entire meal because I did not want to deal with the constant excuses given to me for why the food is good and that we were wrong. Apparently the motto at this restaurant is, "the customer is NEVER right."

Typical Americanized Chinese food. Ordered fried green bean with shredded pork --- tasted like steamed, sizzling Thai cod --- too sweat with thick sticky sauce, and fried rice which is just so so. Will not come back again.

*NOTE: This review is about the dinner and lunch options and not about the dim sum* I always come to this place with my family whenever we are feeling the need for some really great Chinese food and we don't feel like driving all the way to Seattle. This is also probably one of the best Chinese restaurants to go to if you like seafood as well (dungeness crab is yummy in the house special sauce......it is dry and has a lot of fried garlic chips). We started off with the beef with Chinese broccoli.....I don't know what it is about this place....but their beef is ALWAYS tender and delicious! It is awesome! Next came with the clams with black bean sauce......there was no sand in the clams since they cleaned them so well and no broken shell pieces for you to chip your teeth on! The sauce is great too and they give you a ton of sauce :D Then we had scallops with double mushrooms....this is not my fave dish but my mom loves it! They have definitely cut back unfortunately....I mean the scallops were not the big sea scallop kind and they used cheap button mushrooms with shiitake......it was still tasty but you could tell that they definitely cut back the portion size for this. The last dish that we ordered was the House Special Tofu Hot Pot....it's a combination hot pot that consists of lots of seafood (scallops, squid, and fish), meat (chicken and BBQ pork), and vegetables (cabbage, mushrooms and carrots). Overall, very tasty Chinese food but watch out on weekends or any special holidays! It will get PACKED here.......like so busy where you have to come in at 5pm in order to get a seat for dinner or you will be stuck waiting....and waiting.....and waiting...... Pros: -Tasty Chinese food here! -Seafood always tastes fresh - Lots of variety and I'm sure that anyone can find something that they will like on their menu - located right next to Ranch 99 so you can walk around a bit while you are loosening your belt buckle Cons: -Must get here early for dinner if you want to grab a table, especially if it is a holiday weekend (Plan on arriving at 5pm)! -Sometimes it is hard to get the waiters' attention because they are so busy, so that can be a bit frustrating Why I gave it a 5..... Great fresh seafood here...you can watch them while they catch it for you from the tanks! Beef here is SUPER tender so be sure to order some kind of beef dish if you love red meat. Make sure to come here early for dinner and if you're lucky, they will have dessert (sometimes you may have to ask for it) which could be orange slices, tapioca, or red bean soup.

I like their regular food. However, I am not a big fan of their new DIM SUM deal. I shared a table with someone and I ended up being their guide. I was ok with it but I can't quite enjoy the time (it's really their fault). There were not a lot of selections when I was there. The tea was not HOT. Staff was very polite and nice thou. I will for sure give it a try soon.

Love their hot and sour soup, honey walnut prawns, chinese brocolli, steamed cod, and peking duck. It's hands down one of the best Chinese restaurant in the area. My go to place for chinese after they shut down sea garden in bellevue. Minus one star for their spotty service.

There was a LOT of great dishes on their menu, but I can't eat all of it at once so I only ordered the veggie chow fun, honey walnut shrimp and rice. I was hoping that they would have crispy noodles or cake noodles, but they didn't have a variety of those options on their menu. I do love NOODLES and chow fun, though, and I was really happy with my choice. I don't think you can really go wrong with Honey Walnut Shrimp, but I wasn't feeling too adventurous that night and so next I'd like to try other things. T&T is a great family-style restaurant, but it's also good for small groups. I love seeing all the kiddos at the huge family-style tables. :-)

We try to stay away from the overly-Americanized dishes (I'm looking at you, Honey Walnut Prawn) and try something new each time. Best with a big group because you can get that turntable-a-spinnin'. Particularly delectable dishes are the Mushroom & Egg Swirl Soup, Black Mushroom with Japanese Tofu, and House Special Duck.

Since the Thai place I wanted to try was closed, I ventured over to try T&T. Their menu offered many options. Initially I was going to go with their Dim Sum. The cart was wheeled over with stacks of bamboo steamers. Hmm...but that's just it.. THE cart. One cart. Selection was hugely limited. Definitely not the place to come for Dim Sum if you want more than 6 things to choose from. I ended up ordering Crispy Prawns with Honey Walnut. They did a great job on this dish. The oil temperature must have been "spot on" since the shrimp were not greasy or rubbery. This came with steamed white rice. Service? Close to non-existent. I almost had to trip a staff member to get them to stop at the table. So...yes, the food is good...that's why people keep coming back...because it sure isn't for the service. Cleanliness. I'd give it a 7. There were quite a few tables not wiped down. I was there around 4:00pm...so I can't really believe they had a difficult time cleaning up after a lunch rush. Not fancy...dim sum is kinda sad...but if you order off the menu, it seems this place hits the spot.

T & T is usually crowded and much of the clientele is Asian so that may be a vote of confidence. I've often seen people lined up outside the door to get in. I don't think the food is that good. I do think the honey walnut prawns and the honey walnut scallops are as good as I've had anywhere. The sea bass (before I found out it is a threatened species) is also very good. The side dishes and other experiments I've tried there have been disappointing. The atmosphere is crowded, tense and not relaxing at all. Service is unpredictable

OK, it's next to a Ranch 99. [check] There are a bunch of other Asian restaurants nearby [check] Reviews look good with some recommendations of a few dishes [check] It's raining, and I might as well try it [check] What a big mistake. I ordered two recommended dishes, Beef noodles and honey walnut shrimp. For the noodles, what was the key flavor in this dish? Beef, soy sauce, noodles? Nope, just oil. It was just oil, slick and flavorless. The Walnut shrimp? Terribly prepared. Shells were still on some of the shrimp. Again, way too much oil, way too few walnuts (maybe four or five walnut halves) and a badly flavored sauce. The texture was wrong and the flavor was wrong. . Ever go to a restaurant and have food so bad you don't want leftovers? T&T Seafood Restaurant would be that restaurant. The price would be fine for excellent food, but for the quality of these dishes, not so much: 23 bucks plus tip. I did tip, even though the service was absolutely horrendous. Waiters were hard to come by, and were not concerned with customers. . Perhaps dim sum might be better, but I'm not returning to give them another chance to take my money.

If there's a contest for the worst Chinese restaurant. T&T will definitely be on the list ! Our family went to have dinner at this place over the weekend and we had our worst food experience ever. First the Chinese BBQ pork looks like it was right off the Costco package but the taste is worse. Then the sizzling rice seafood soup was bland and tasteless. The Sichuan style fried string beans were raw when it was first brought to us. When I told the waitress to cook it fully. I was told that Cantonese people prefer to eat raw string beans. The other two dishes were also very disappointing. Had we gone to the food deli at the Ranch 99 nearby, we would have got much better quality food with less than half of the price.

Incredible Dim Sum. Service is a bit slow and as stated in other reviews the price seems a bit high in comparison to the prices. However, it's impossible to double check without asking because the bill is in Chinese. I've been looking for a Dim Sum place and glad I've found this, but they could fix these couple of things.

This might be a little unfair, but I don't want to dock any stars because I still love this place for their regular menu. Just wanted to do an update on what I thought about their dim sum. We popped in last Sunday around 1:00p or so for lunch. I was surprised to find it so packed, but I had forgotten that they started serving dim sum. (Silly me, because I was so excited when they first put the sign up that it was going to happen.) It took a long time to be noticed, but that's expected when it's so busy. I suppose I have more tolerance for poor service at a Chinese restaurant, so I wasn't bothered. When we eventually got seated, we were greeted by a cart fairly quickly, and we were able to order our usual stuff from the one cart. (I don't know if I really need to brush up on my Chinese or what, because every time I ordered something, the lady repeated it back to me with the English name. Never happened to me before.) We had: char siu bao (bbq pork buns): tasted like what you buy at the store and microwave at home, but they were still yummy to me har gao (shrimp dumplings): not the best I've had, but still very good siu mai (pork dumplings): I don't eat these, but hubby liked them. This wasn't on the first cart, but the lady was nice enough to find us one. pai guat (spare ribs): I don't eat these, but hubby liked them well enough har cheung (shrimp noodles): this is what I generally use to judge a place (like how I tend to judge an American restaurant on their free bread) because it's my absolute favorite dim sum dish. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good, especially because it was a bit cold when we got it, despite it coming from the first cart that came to use with the har gao, etc. I like the noodles thick, and these weren't quite there. Also, I think they put a sliver of bamboo or something in it, which I don't care for, even though I know some other restaurants do it. Anyhow, the taste was not to my liking. sin zuk gyun (tofu skin roll): another favorite I always get, and once again, it wasn't to my liking. The skin was tough and rubbery. And the ratio of skin to filling was off, in my opinion. Too much filling for me, basically. (I wonder if anyone else in the world would complain about that.) dan tat (egg tart): hubby always finishes his dim sum with this. It came out nice and warm, and the flavor was pretty good. Not too sweet, but sweet enough to be a nice dessert. I don't know if we'll be back for dim sum. Maybe in a pinch, if we don't want to battle the horrible parking situation at Noble Court in Bellevue or go into Int'l District. But I still definitely love this place for the dishes I reviewed before.

It's been going downhill based on the last 2 dinners. I don't know if they changed hands but the quality and service has dropped to the point that I won't be eating there in the near term. Very unfortunate as I really enjoyed this place.

3-27-13. Just like always, great food ,fast service and friendly folks make T and T tops in Lynnwood and Edmonds for Chinese Cuisine. You won't be sorry. Come early, it's a popular place. Over 3/4 of the customers are Asian in desent. They bring the kids and the seniors for authentic home (China) style cooking. If they had truck parking it would be full.

I want to say that we frequent T&T Seafood for over 10 years now. We bring our family and friends here when we think of dim sum and good Chinese food. Our recent visit pretty much led us to ban this place until it makes some major changes. First, the wait. Second, the poor service. Third, the forgotten orders. Fourth and the most important factor, the cockroaches milling around the floor where we were sitting. (A note, if we saw this prior to the start of our dinner we would have definitely stood up and left.) 1. The Wait. We walked in and placed our name on the clipboard that was hanging by the front door. A young lady saw our name and it was obvious that we were the first one on the list. At the time, no one else was in the waiting area. As our party was waiting for our table, a number of people starting filing into the restaurant. We noticed that they were getting seated prior to us. We were told when asked that these people have made reservations. Okay. We can understand that concept but when this goes on for the next 1.5 hours you start to wonder. Are we being overlooked because we do not speak the language? Mind you I understand the language just not being able to retort back as the native speakers. It was obvious that some parties did not have reservations but were able to intimidate this young hostess into sitting them. Some even claimed tables before it was cleaned from prior customers. When my husband finally complained a few times, she finally seats us...near the rest room. We noticed that when we sat down, a couple tables had customers waiting to be helped with their order and no one has come. They finally left. We were wondering if we should do the same but we stayed. 2. The Poor Service. It is obvious when they walk by you and you literally need a bullhorn to flag a waiter down. 3. The Forgotten Orders. Two of our menu orders where totally forgotten. We even flagged a waiter to remind him of it and he just gave us a nod and went on his way. Then we flagged down the hostess and she went to check for us. We told her if it is not ready now we would like to cancel it. After waiting for our check and a response for 30 minutes, we flag her down again for the check and they scribbled two things off the menu. Mind you that there is no way to tell what you were charged for or what was scribbled off as everything was in Chinese characters. 4. The Cockroaches. As we were leaving, my kids and husband noticed a number of cockroaches milling around the restaurant floor. Where do these come from? It now makes us wonder how clean the kitchen and establishment is with this infestation. Sorry but that is where I definitely draw the line. I do give it a 1 star as we did enjoy some of the food we were served but to go and eat out with your family and friends...one should encounter great food, great service and a clean establishment. Is that too much to ask? It is so sad to say this but we are not coming back to T&T Seafood in Edmonds, WA until things change dramatically. Solutions--A better cue system for patrons who walk-in during busy times, reservations should be limited to a number of tables in the establishment during high peak season, have an actual reservation book so it is clear who really made the reservation, a strong assertive hostess that can stand up to those pushy clients. Checks/Orders--either be written in English or the number of the food on the menu with the price listed on the menu beside it for accuracy. CLEAN THE PLACE DOWN!!!

Only reviewing the Dim Sum - so with not a lot of dim sum choices up north they get a lot of business and it's super crowded on weekends, although I've gone on the weekdays and then it slows down considerably. Parking: Plenty available - it's right next to Ranch 99 Ambiance: the classic Chinese decor - not as old and dingy as some of the places in Chinatown Service: ehhh - you have to hail people down to get water or extra napkins, etc, but they are generally very friendly (noticed a lady at another table complained about something wrong with the food and the manager replaced the dish and gave them another one for free) The problem on weekends is that they are so crowded that it often takes 5-10 minutes before a cart comes by your table. You can always ask a waiter to bring the dishes you want to your table, but then you miss out on the fun of looking at all the different foods on the cart and pointing (plus, you have to know what you want). Food: Shrimp dumplings, sticky rice wrapped in leaves, shao mai, etc - your run of the mill dim sum - nothing new or innovative (you have to go to Richmond or Vancouver for that) but satisfying Recommendation: If you live up north - go here as opposed to dealing with Chinatown parking - the food is comparable and so are the prices.

We'd had a very good dinner here a few weeks ago and wanted to try the dim sum since we had a few other errands to run in the area. When we walked it we were struck by the smell of fuel -- whatever is used to keep the dim sum steam carts hot. We hoped that the odor would be less pronounced in the dining room itself, but it was very unpleasant. And whenever a steam cart was next to our table, the odor was almost overwhelming. I'm pretty sensitive to odors, but my daughter also complained and wanted to leave. I smelled fuel odor on my clothes for hours after we left. The dim sum itself was fine, nothing special.

Seafoody-goodness. The some of the best Chinese seafood I've had in quite some time. I actually came here in a rather large party (17 people), so we ordered food up to my eyeballs. Some of the best highlights: The crab soup is really good, big delicious chunks of real crab leg meat that you can sink your teeth into (and with a little vinegar in it....sooo flipping good). The Peking duck had deliciously crispy skin and the wonderfully unctuous quality you'd expect in a roasted duck. And oh my goodness the sticky/fried rice...some of the most awesome that I've had (the one of with Chinese sausage and shitake mushrooms). I don't know how they do it...perfectly long grains of rice with just the right amount of chew. Their walnut prawns also stay crispy to the very end of a very long meal. Be careful though if you want a quick bite. Go here if you want to relax and have time to enjoy your meal, because even though the service is very efficient and quick, there's a lot of off-the-bone dishes here which may be too labor intensive for some (but I always think cooking bone-in is always better) Ooh...and while I love my meats, they actually had really good veggie dishes too (we actually had quite a few since my mom is vegetarian and my aunts wanted to eat healthy...I know...crazy right?) The mushroom bok choy was savory and flavorful. My only contention is that I think I ate too much...but for that, I can only blame myself.

Yuck! This place was NOT all that. My sister wanted to eat here for her birthday so we ordered 7 dishes for her celebration. Nothing that stands out in particular. I just don't know how a Chinese restaurant screws up on sauteed green beans. Geesus.. they gave me a plate of oil and wilted beans. That plate of pure crap costs me $9 bucks. Then the crab meat and fish maw soup was super runny. Like water runny. And bland. The fried rice ($10) was sticky and unfavorable and the cod fish with ginger sauce ($17) was 2 thin slices of meat. And please believe, I am NOT over exaggerating my experience. How does this place stay in business? Beats the hell out of me.

You know something is wrong when you ask the Chinese girl seating you what she likes on the menu and she says "I don't know, I don't eat here". After we were like "What?!" she gave the generic "Everything is good" Decent but overrated for sure. You could pretty much put on a blindfold in chinatown and walk into any place and find at least as good but most likely better food. Go to chinatown. It is much better then you normal Americanized Chinese food though. Also if you go on a cold day you better pray that they got a table way in the corner cuz that draft comes in like the big bad wolf is outside.

Big, bright, open dining room and a huge menu. Friendly, fast service that's happy to tell you about stuff off the menu and fresh from the live tank. They do solid versions of all the stuff I've always loved (bbq pork, hot & sour soup, hot pots) and, as the name implies, tons of great seafood dishes. This place is rock solid, and easily my favorite place overall in Lynnwood. Lynnwood, if not for a few great Asian and Pacific places, would really be a dining wasteland.

This place is pretty good, we frequent it for dim sum when we are in the area shopping at nearby 99 Ranch. I have always had dim sum, so I'm not sure what the meals are like for dinner. In my experience it is a good place to have dim sum at, especially before you go shopping at 99 Ranch! The shumai and potstickers are both good, the chicken feet are ok but I've had better, and everything else was as I've come to expect from dim sum. If you're in the Edmonds area for dim sum, T & T is not a bad choice!

Their signature dish is lobster (in house sauce) at $18.80/lb with minimum wt around 2.5 lbs. I also ordered soup. So, in total, the Lobster and soup came to $62.50. A tank with live fish/crab/lobster/etc. tantalizes you.) The hot'n'sour soup was delicious. The lobster was cut up in the shell, breaded and fried in green onions and garlic. WHO would ever do that to lobster? Imitiation crab meat would have tasted just as authentic hidden in this "house sauce". I was very, very disappointed. The lobster meat was pasty, certainly NOT live...and, swear to buddha, in the 1 1/2 hours I was there, nothing live ever left the tank...I was watching the whole time...sat right in front of it.

My mom was visiting from Hawaii and wanted to have Chinese somewhere close instead of the International District so I chose here. When I entered the restaurant there was a glass wall in front of me. Not sure if I should go right or left. I went right then realized it didn't even matter as either side you're hoping for a wait staff to notice you and seat you. After a 3 minute wait, we were motioned to take a seat to the left side of the room. It was quite packed. Our menu came and our tea order taken as we sat down so that was nice. We then flagged our waiter and ordered the minced beef soup. seafood claypot and lobster with "special sauce" which was actually salt and pepper sauce after we asked the waiter. The soup came pretty quickly and was good. It's one of my favorite soup, simple and delicious. The flavor was there, I just wished the beef wasn't as chunky and they spent more time cutting it down. Then came the seafood claypot shortly after. The seafood came with shiitake mushrooms, snow peas, carrots, scallops, shrimp, fish, and fish cake so pretty good variety. Everything was there except one thing, flavor. Bland dish. They threw some seafood and vegetables together added water and corn starch and put it in the claypot. ABSOLUTELY!!! no flavor whatsoever. I had to put the soy sauce and chili sauce and give it flavor myself. Salt and pepper shrimp is one of my vary own specialty that I make for my family so I was excited about the lobster. Waiting...waiting...waiting....30 minutes later...no lobster so we had to ask. The waitress said she believed she saw it in the kitchen and went to check on it. It came out warm, not hot as if it had been sitting in the kitchen and someone forgot to bring it out. My mom was excited and so was I as we saw ALOT of fried garlic on the plate. Took a bite and another disappointment. Sheesh!!! was a dang expensive dish and no salt, no pepper, no spice. I could not taste the garlic at all. The lobster was coated in corn starch and deep fried so the meat was dried on the inside. I wished we had just ordered it with ginger onion instead of their "special sauce". Goodness I make an amazing salt and pepper shrimp which is not hard to do so I don't understand how they messed this up royally!! This is the reason why my mother dislikes eating out. She tells me I'm a better cook and she would rather I cook for her than eat out. Of course she wasn't going to make me cook on my birthday. Disappointed birthday dinner. Not coming here for dinner again!!!

Had a dinner here last night for my mom's birthday. The service was great and the food was delicious! We all shared entrees, including: beef with broccoli, fresh lobster, crispy chicken, chicken curry, honey walnut prawns, house special chow mein, and fried rice. I have been here in the past and the service was not so great, but this experience was remarkably better. I have always thought the food here was delicious, so no change there. They gave all the ladies with us the new lunar calendar of 2011-- nice touch!

I came here when I heard they were serving dim sum. I have not tried the other items on the menu outside of dim sum. The quality of the dim sum and speed of service: great. We were a large group but got seated right away even though not everyone from our party arrived at the same time. Classic dim sum dishes. The dishes were not as good as the places in Vancouver BC, but this by far is the best dim sum I have had in the greater Seattle area. Well worth the 35 min drive outside of Seattle, and fun to dim sum with friends on a Sunday afternoon.

**** DIM SUM REVIEW **** That's right folks! T&T now serves DIM SUM! They've only been doing it for about a week now so it's crazy hectic and incredibly disorganized-- BE PREPARED TO WAIT OUTSIDE, especially on weekends! We were seated within 20 minutes (with about 15 names ahead of us) because the lovely hostess had the amazing idea of seating smaller groups together at "community" tables which actually worked out shockingly well. The quality of their dim sum today was surprising: freshly steamed, high quality, great flavour, piping hot, not super greasy, and delicious! Service was a little hectic because they don't really have room to wheel around a ton of carts so there were some servers who just walked around with trays of their offerings. We had the typical dim sum fare: shumai, har gow, cheung fan with shrimp, the deep fried taro thing, deep fried shrimp/tofu, chicken feet, and a few other dishes that I can't remember the names of. My family of four was stuffed and satisfied and it came out to be about $43 before tip! As far as I know this is the only place up north that serves good dim sum so once word gets out (it seems like it already has) then it'll probably get crazy. We'll definitely be back... hopefully they'll be a little more organized next time.

I am SOOOO happy they have daily dim sum in Edmonds! I got tired of driving to Seattle when I wanted good dim sum. Low and behold I found T&T seafood! They have very fresh seafood. I loved the dumplings and shrimp balls so tasty!! The service is really good, when they get super busy they can be a lil on the forgettful side though. I have enjoyed everytime I have gone there. If your going for dim sum, go early because they can run out. It's all fresh so they make what they make and when it's gone it's gone.

Food is as good as any expensive Chinese food restaurant, but they vacuumed and dusted the place while we were still eating. That was rude. It made me questioned what other dirty things they do in the kitchen when we're not around.

Seriously, I keep going back for the Chicken Feet. Last time I was there, with friends, we opted for three orders of chicken feet instead of dessert. They are big, juicy, tender, fragrant, and perfectly cooked every time, they just melt in your mouth. I have nothing bad to say about the Dim Sum, it is some of the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot. T&T definitely has the best and most unique dim sum offerings in the Seattle area. Some of my favorites are the savory Turnip Cake, velvety Honeycomb Tripe, fluffy steamed Fish Balls, succulent Pork Meatballs, tender pan-fried Rice Noodles, sweet Green Tea Rice Cakes (Turtle Faces), fried Egg Custard topped with Shrimp Paste, stuffed steamed Tofu Rolls, I could on and on... Go for the Dim Sum.

With eager anticipation, I have been waiting for T&T's "DIM SUM - COMING SOON" sign to change to "DIM SUM NOW AVAILABLE". Finally, last week - I saw the change and made plans to go. My sis and I went for lunch on a Thursday. We got there around 11:45 and it was busy, but manageable. The carts were going around steadily and had all the normal items. We went with the basics and were both generally satisfied. Some things just weren't up to snuff in comparison to the ID, however other things were just as good. I expected the price to be horrid, but it was just under 10 bucks per person and we both left stuffed. Considering I live so close, my dim sum fixes will be much easier to fulfill. However, if I want the best, I still need to go downtown.

Nice fresh dim sum, easy parking and prompt service. The food was very good. Just wish they would slow down a little. Definitely worth it especially if you don't feel like driving downtown.

Best dumplings I have ever had. Hands down. They were so good, that I ordered an extra order to-go. They were stuffed with pork, and the dim sum sheet said that they were a "chefs special". Would be 5 stars, but I thought it was a bit pricey (over $30 for 2). This place was packed on a Sunday at 1 pm. If I'm ever around Edmonds during dim sum again, I am going to stock up on these dumplngs!

Typical Chinese restaurant * The Chow mein is too greasy for me, and the oil has the same flavor as the other stir fried stuff. * Salted Fish Fried Rice is always a good salty choice. * Tried a whole crab once, and just wasn't impressed by the sloppy preparation and plain stir fry toppings. * Dim-sum time gets crowded, because the dim-sum is good/standard but inconsistent selection. * Dim-sum = typical shumai, sticky-rice, chicken feet, fish balls, fish noodles, tripe, bean curd, etc. * Service is inconsistent. * Food has mixed results, but overall is decent. * The setting is good for large family dining. * If you just want take out, the BBQ/lunch area in Ranch 99 might have something good as well. * It's nice to have more dim-sum options, like T&T, around Seattle.

I used to come here a lot. The quality of service is bad. Came here for early dinner, no one greeted us to the table. We had to ask for the menu and tea. When the food was ready, they gave it to the wrong table. I have no clue what was wrong with the wait staff that day. Food was okay. I'm not going to visit this place for a long time.

Finally! Good dim sum in the north end. T&T has very good Chinese food on its ala carte menu, but try their dim sum and you'll be glad you did. It's inexpensive, tasty, and offers up all of the standard dim sum items that we like to eat. Their shu mai is cooked perfectly. Their crispy shrimp balls are delightful. And their steamed pork buns are fluffy and filled with flavorful barbeque pork. We liked everything we tried, and frankly it is comparable to (and in some cases beats) our favorite dim sum restaurants in the International District. Give it a try.

We went here for lunch (dim sum, served till 5 every day) today, and had a great time. Upon entering, it's a little unclear what you should do. You need to get the attention of the person at the checkout counter opposite the entrance, and they will immediately send a waiter over to you. You should also feel free to take your bill up to the counter when you're ready to go, since they aren't in a hurry to get rid of you. You are then given the choice of dim sum or lunch (lunch menu). From all appearances, people who elect for the lunch menu option, get a waiter. If you selected dim sum, you are served from the carts/trays that are going around, and a roving general-service waiter. I think we had food and were eating within 30 seconds or so of sitting down. Everything was fresh and warm, though not blazing hot. We're definitely not picky dim sum eaters, but we thought it was definitely good enough to avoid going downtown to eat. I don't suggest going here if you have food allergies, or are unaware of what goes into dim sum dishes though. While the servers were willing to explain what was in each dish, their english wasn't the best, and you might have a hard time doing a custom dim sum order. Maybe we didn't know how, but there wasnt anything written in english to indicate we could do it. But to get back on topic, we liked it a lot.

The short guy in the gray suit, the one with the glasses, embarassing perm and long pinkie fingernail, was so rude, I really want to give them 0 stars. I went there on a rainy weekday around 12 noon, where people were eating lunch. I wanted a table for one, and that alone placed a frown on this guy's face. Then I asked for the kung pao shrimp, which is a lunch special that includes soup. I asked if the soup had any pork in it (I am allergic to pork) and he bulged out his eyes and sharpened his mouth with a raised voice and spat out, "it has no meat!" What a jerk! The food though was not as horrible as the angry little man, but they only give you 3 shrimps on the plate. T & T is not the best Chinese food, but it wins on the worst service.

Ho Ly Cr Ap This sucked. I was totally unimpressed with their lackluster selection, taste, service and general cleanliness. Spend the extra 15min to drive to the International district and get better dim sum. On to the review!! 1) Selection - Negative 14. Seriously. There were 2 carts that didn't have much of a difference (One had humbow the other didn't). 2) Taste - Bland and pointless. If I didn't put hotsauce on each bite, I'd have been better off chomping on some hot dog buns. And even those may have tasted better. We ordered Shu Mai and 3 different types of shrimp. All were disgusting - Couldn't finish them. 1 even had peas and corn - like they emptied a bag of frozen vegetables into the processor and scooped it up. I am a lover of dim sum. I work in downtown seattle and we (a large group of us) try to go out at least every couple of weeks, and there are sooooooo many better places than T & T that I would spend the gas money just for the quality. 3) Service - There are times when I think people open a restaurant just to be rude to customers. This is one of them. We waited patiently for one of the carts to show up and if it wasn't on the cart you weren't getting it. We ordered soft drinks - never showed up. We asked for water - never showed up. Absolutely ridiculous. Dim sum is about having bites and tastes of multiple different flavors, textures and colors. Dim sum at T & T is a lesson in being abused and fed garbage.

This review is only for Sunday Dim Sum offered at the restaurant. We arrived around 11:45 am and the place was packed but it was a short 5 minute wait until we were sat. No one came to our table to offer any beverages or offer a menu. We assumed they only served Dim Sum from the carts or you had to flag a server to ask for a menu. Soon after, cart after cart came to the table and we started filling the table with Dim Sum. Not a lot of variety, but they do offer the popular items like Shrimp Dumplings, Siumai, Chicken Feet, Pork Spareribs, Fried Shrimp Balls, Sticky Rice, Hum Bao and a variety of desserts. Dim Sum restaurants at the International District downtown offer a wider variety. However, if you live north of Seattle you will have to drive further to get there. This is not a bad choice if you prefer a shorter drive.

I like this place. Few decent Chinese places up north. The Sichuan shrimp is yum. Check the live shrimp (often sold out), get 2 pounds of it, won't regret it. Service can be dodgey when it's busy and they often are (shows ppl like the food). Dim sum, go Chinatown.

We have been coming here for dim sum quite a few times for a year. Dim sum and dinner was okay, but the service at night was horrible. At first we thought we went there too late around 9pm, but the recent visit two weeks ago at 7pm was the same frustrated. They were definitely not attentive at all. When you eat there, you have to be really patient. We still prefer Joi Chinese Restaurant (recently changed name from Koi Garden, but they claimed everything is the same). They seem to be less crowded after name changed, but our recent visit two weeks ago was still good dim sum and good friendly attentive service.

I have a love / hate emotion for this place ! I really love the food. It's delicious and not very greasy. Great portions to share with a group. I usually go with my family and order a few plates. But lately, we have been doing dim sum. I think it's awesome they are doing dim sum. They have a great variety! Even a few veggie items. It's slightly pricey, but i think it's totally worth it. Now- sadly, the thing I hate most about this place. Is - Once you walk in, there is not a designated hostess. So, what do you do? Try and flag someone down and say ' Hey! I need a table!..' UNLESS, you go on the weekend (Bad idea!) - A few occasions, I showed up for dim sum on a Saturday & a Sunday, apparently everyone else did too. It's hard to get a table. There is no set order who or how someone gets a table. There is a Chinese girl sometimes that tries to seat people, but get's confused and seats people that came in last. Usually - First come first serve! Thats a great motto! But, sadly shows she doesn't know that motto. With a little work and guidance, she could be a good asset for the restaurant, but...... unfortunately, every time I go she is there, a little lost. Overall.. if you have patience.. It's well worth the wait and struggle to eat here!

We revisited T&T for my boyfriend's birthday lunch. We were so impressed by our last dim sum experience that we couldn't wait to return. Since I always try to be positive, I will start with the good stuff first. The food was outstanding. Dumplings were perfection, shrimp balls were dreamy, and the honey walnut prawns made me want to write a sonnet. So why did I only give them two stars, you may ask? The service was some of the worst I've ever experienced in my entire dining history. First of all, the dim sum cart was going around to every other table, but avoiding ours. We had the dim sum ticket displayed prominently on our table, so there should have been no question about the service we wanted. We waited for about a half an hour before a cart finally came around. The cart was nearly empty, so we decided to get menus. They brought the menus, but we had to wait a very long time before they actually took our orders. We also asked for forks (I can't use chopsticks for too long because I have tendinitis). The guy looked at us like we were insane and told us they ran out. We also asked for water, and the same gentleman acted like we asked him to sell us his first born. Later, when a waitress came by, we asked her once again for water and forks. They brought us plastic forks, which was better than nothing, but made us wonder why they couldn't have brought those in the first place. Oh yeah, here's another positive - we had the honey garlic pork chops and they were AM-azing. Nice and light with crispy breading and tender pork. When we were all done with our meal, we had to wait a long time to get the bill. We could have dined and dashed and they never would have known. One of the people at our table had to go up to the hostess and ask for our bill. We paid it and left. In conclusion, the food was awesome, but the service was doody. I think if I order from here, I would get the food to go so we don't have to deal with the shoddy service.

If you want authentic Chinese this is the place. The food is good and you can't beat the lunch price. My wife and I both was under $12. You can't beat that anywhere. Ok I'm dropping from a 5 to a 2 star here. The food is still great but we went in a couple of months ago and could not get served. I asked for a menu three times before they finally brought just one for the two of us. Then they never came back. We left and have not gone back.

Food was very good, and service was good. The only issue I had was even after we told the waitress we were ordering from the menu instead of picking food from the tray they bring around, they still brought stuff to us to see if we wanted more than what we had already ordered from the menu.

We really love the food here and the prices are pretty reasonable but dang, the service really sucks there. There were about 5 tables and the help is just standing around and nobody comes to take our wine order or food order. Finally my wife makes eye contact with our server and he scoots over to us. This isn't the first time we end up waiting for service or our tab. We also experienced the whole seating someone else before us even though we were on the list before them. I wish the owners would just get a clue on how to deliver good customer service.

I just stopped by for Saturday Dim Sum at T &T and to my surprise it was very tasty (Seattle really isn't know for its Dim Sum)! Even more surprising is that this restaurant still pushes carts during Dim Sum hours! It was very busy when I showed up there at 11:30am and tables were filling up quickly. By the time I left there was a good wait at the door for tables. Pastries and baked goods are all baked on premises. Walnut prawns were tasty. Chicken feet and fried goods were light and not too greasy or heavy. They had a very good variety of items coming around and everything was fresh and hot. I would like to see more seafood since this is a seafood establishment. Maybe some black bean and garlic razor clams or squid.

Solid chinese food up north! I like the honey walnut shrimp/prawns. It's such a good way to use mayo. And now... DIM SUM!!!! I got to say the dim sum selection was not as good as usual, and a lot of the carts either didn't have the food we wanted or were out of food and we had to wait for them to make it. They had this deep fried tofu (with shrimp of course) that was pretty good! We got there at around 10:45 AM on a Sunday and just barely beat the rush. Otherwise, there is definitely a wait. Also, I'm not sure the restaurant is really made for dim sum. The carts are definitely too massive to maneuver very well. But, it beats the heck out of having to find parking in ID!! I haven't had any issues with service, but I do know that when we want something we ask, we don't wait for it to come.

Food is OK. Service STINKS! Most of the wait staff don't speak English. We asked if the entree comes with steamed rice & the waiter not understanding the question said NO. So we ended up ordering fried rice. Also, we asked for half roasted duck we saw on the menu. The waiter turned around and said they can't sell us half but only whole. Why in the world would they bother put it on the menu for half & whole if they can't sell half portion? Then the food came and sure enough, the entree came with steamed rice but we're stuck with the fried rice order. Refilling the tea pot was IMPOSSIBLE. They ignored us several times when we point to the empty pot. The dim sum vendors kept passing by, pushing their goods but not any of them NOTICE the empty tea pot. Wait staff seemed to be running around with their tails behind their back with blind folds. POOR SERVICE I've ever experienced. How in the world can you come into this country & NOT LEARN to speak ENGLISH??? I am a Filipina but learned to speak the English language.

This is one my favorite Chinese restaurants. There is nothing that can compare to this place anywhere north of Seattle. I highly recommend the sizzling black cod with black bean sauce, the hot and sour soup, the fish maw and crab meat soup, the scallops and beans dish, the house special crispy noodles...oh I could go on and on. I love this place. The staff is also really nice. Theresa and the other lady who seems to be in charge are both very accommodating and make efforts to remember the regulars. Every time I go home, I visit this spot. Wear sweats though because you will come out with free Chinese perfume/cologne.

Yummy!! So better than other options in the area... T & T is a real chow destination. When I tried T & T on a Sunday for Father's day, there were three of us. We were seated a a large round group sized table- from which we ordered mixed chow mien, a special of asparagus with black bean, the honey walnut prawns, and the special sizzling filet Mignon. SO MUCH FOOD! I was with myself and two guys and we ate and ate and ate, and there was left overs. The walnut prawns (were recommended) reminded me of sweetened mayo covered deep fried prawns. They were OK- the seafood tasted fresh. The asparagus dish came with meat, and it was all cooked in the bean sauce. The asparagus was crisp tender and everyone liked the dish. The chow mien, with fresh noodles, was mounded in a extremely large bowl, and contained squid, BBQ pork, and beef- it was well flavored and tasty. The sizzling dish was the favorite and came with green peppers, onion, and a garlic style sauce. The meat was in chunks and tender. The service was brisk and helpful. The meal was served at a table with a rotating top. The prices were low in my opinion for the quality and quantity of food. I liked my experience at T & T Seafood. FYI's~ * Everything is served family style * Take-out is offered * Lots of tables- with room always available * Tank with fresh seafood * American style Chinese and traditional Chinese dishes are both on the menu * Offer Hot Pot * Cheap Lunch Combo Specials under $5

Considering T&T was willing to accomadate over 90 famished folks after my cousin's baby christening, this place earned a star just for their service. Although they probably grumbled in the back about our super large party (we had reserved half their restaurant for the baptism reception), they were completely professional, polite and attentive the whole time. Awesome service, IMO! Food was decent. Walnut prawns were crunchy and greasy, which is what I expected for the fried dish smothered in mayo. Seafood medley w/broccoli was pretty good, and their steamed fish was filling. Was not a fan of their crabmeat soup and their gelatinous chicken feet did make me a bit queasy, but to each his/her own. I probably would come here again if in the mood for some greasy Chinese.

The first and only time I ate here was only mustard greens and they were pretty good but nothing to rave about. The service seemed a bit spotty. The second time there was a waiting list which I had my name on, I am not sure why because the hostess gave my table to a couple that came in after me (table of two for both of us). This was either pretty ditsy or just stupid (not to mention pretty rude of the couple who new damn well I was there first). The place was half empty and and there were about a dozen or so people waiting to be seated. The waiting area is really, really cramped. It seemed like poor management to me. I left, who knows how many more people would be seated ahead of me.

My family has been frequenting T&T even before it moved to Edmonds from Shoreline and we can always count on a consistent Cantonese style meal. Of course served family style your safe orders are the honey walnut prawns, the green beans with shredded pork, and crispy chicken. Definitely try to mix it up with some dishes like the roast duck or sizzling spare ribs which become dinner and a show. It's a great alternative to the International District, is great for large groups, and if my chinese grandmother had her way would be a great place for me to meet a nice little chinese girl to marry.

Crummy service. Less than enjoy their employees smoking at the entrance. Being offered seating next to the bathroom was deplorable as it wasn't busy. A very solid Cantonese place with excellent service. My parents come here often as a stop before hitting up the 99 Ranch and we ordered a plethora of dishes for four people (3 of us just flew in) ranging from crispy skin chicken to clams in black bean sauce. They were all as expected of a good Chinese place, but I want to mention the stir fried lobster with garlic... that stuff was awesome. My only complaint was that they didn't give us a big enough lobster. Even towards the end of the meal I was sneaking bites of the uh... seasoning. The service was great and they were all very friendly. The guy even gave tips on how to make duck stuffed with sticky rice (not offered at the restaurant). They definitely take pride in what they serve and I'm pretty darned sure we'll be coming here every other time we fly into Seattle now.

So, we, the Tres Marias in my family, totally used to frequent this place, usually right after getting out of church. Our usual favorites: garlic & salt pork chop, tofu oyster hot pot, beef chow fun, and bbq pork with tofu. Service is decent a lot of the time, although waiting for food is pretty much expected already. More recently, we chose to have our 'rehearsal dinner' there. We had quite a tiff over it for a while, because my (now-)husband's family is Taiwanese and have very strong feelings about authentic Chinese food. Eventually, they gave in.. and it seemed to have passed! It seems that they liked it enough, that they went back there to eat after the wedding. How's that for a recommendation? Approval from the pickier of the lot. :) (For a crowd that took up about 6 tables, we ordered from their preset banquet courses. They allowed us to trade out a couple of the items that some of the crowd wouldn't have appreciated so much, without added cost, iirc.)

I always have high hopes for Chinese restaurants outside of Seattle because I hate fighting for parking in Chinatown when I want good Chinese food. For folks living north of Seattle, lemme say that you'd be better off driving 20 minutes into Seattle and another 15 minutes of circling Chinatown for parking. T&T is just plain bad. I came here as a guest of a large family gathering (25+ people). My aunt (the host of the party) arrived 15 minutes early to confirm reservations that were made 2 days earlier, but was told "no, we have no record of your reservation." Ok, I know the drill, I'm Chinese too after all. If there's a buck to be made, they're not holding a table for somebody just because they called it in 2 days earlier. It's an inconvenience, but on some level we've come to expect bad service at Chinese restaurants. Then the food starts to arrive and it was nothing to write home about. Bland taste and questionable freshness. This is a bit more disappointing because, as a Chinese person, I'm usually willing to trade bad service for tasty food. Now we've gone into bad service and bland food territory - 2 strikes. Near the end of the meal the last dish arrives over 1/2 an hour after the previous dish. Obviously they forgot about it and scrambled to get it out before we nixed it and asked for it to be taken off the bill. At this point we're much too full to even touch it - especially since it was about as appetizing as the rest of the courses. [side note] The honey walnut prawns were runny and were served on a bed of chopped iceburg lettuce. Also, the fish maw soup was overcooked and had a texture like snot... yes, snot. I was 5 once, I know what snot in my mouth feels like. Now for the best part. Because this was a party with many elderly folks, my cousins specially ordered a cake big enough for 25 people that was low sugar, and had large Chinese characters on it that say "Happy Birthday Grandpa." I don't know how many other people at that restaurant were expecting a 20" by 20" cake with that phrase written on it, but the wait staff managed to give our cake away to another table. A party of SIX! When we finally asked for the cake, the manager said, "Uh... we gave it away already by accident..." WHAT THE...(part 1)?!? You gave away our huge, specially made cake with Chinese characters that say "Happy Birthday Grandpa" on it to another table?!? [side note] According to the restaurant manager - the other table ate the cake without question and even took the leftovers home. Either those patrons have no shame whatsoever, or the manager made up some messed up story to cover up for something even more sinister. My cousins demanded that the restaurant pay for the cake and discount our food for the evening. After some negotiations, the manager offered to buy a new cake and take $50 off our bill. They bring in the new cake (which was purchased at the same bakery located next door), and it's a 13" round cake. WHAT THE... (part 2)?!? Our cake was 20" by 20"!!! You bring in a 13" round cake for our party of 25+ people?!? This is your idea of replacing the cake that you mistakenly gave away? After my aunt points out that the cake is not a sufficient replacement, the manager agrees to buy a 2nd 13" cake for us. After quickly eating our cake, we all start to leave. All of my aunt's guests start talking about the service and how strange the evening had been. Fortunately, my cousin's grandpa didn't mind so at least that worked out. As a good Chinese boy who loves Chinese food, I'd never come here again unless an elderly family member obliged me to.

I have only been here for dinner and not for dim sum. This is our new favorite restaurant. We like that it is much lighter and less greasy than most Chinese restaurants. The flavors are delicious and the portions are huge.

Ok, what can I say, again.....yummmy yummy in my tummy...this place is fun. Take a group of people with you because they serve family style with plenty of food and it's good. Service is great, smiling people, but who wouldn't smile in a place like this. It's busy and great atmosphere.

I go there for dim sum only. The normal food is not impress me so much. The waiters not pay attentions to costumers. We wait for waiters to serve us water for almost 10 minutes

went here today for the dim sum, and was surprised! It was great. When we walked in they were at the end of the lunch rush, so it was still pretty busy. The cart came fairly quickly and we picked about 5 different things and they were all good. My husband loved the chicken feet. The best thing was everything looks good, every time a waiter walks by with a plate you say, I wonder what that was, it looked good. I will defiantly be going back!

Wow! I've seen a lot of talk complaining about the service here! I don't think it has necessarily "exceptional" service, but I've never really found it lacking, either. The service is decent enough in all the times I've been here. I think the food here is typically very good! I've been happy with a lot of things here on the menu and they have a pretty good selection of not just the stuff you'll find at your "Magic Dragon" or other fast-food Chinese places. Clean? Eh, it was cool. But saying that, I've eaten at some of the diviest dives and some of the swankier digs and can usually get comfortable in either one, depending on the day. I didn't have a problem with the cleanliness of the place. Haha, somebody wrote something about places next to 99 Ranch stores... I went to this place next to the 99 Ranch at the Great Wall Mall down in Kent that was really not a fave of mine, but this one actually is. I wouldn't travel from far and wide to get here, like if I was out late at night and downtown, I'd probably just go to Honey Court or somewhere down south, but I live in Edmonds and it's always worth the trek for good food here!

God, I really had high hopes for this place and it used to be one of my most favourite places to get Chinese food in Seattle area. Not anymore. Service was nonexistant, and I broke the cardinal rule of going to places like this for lunch. I think what they served us was left over from dinner the night before. The worse part of this was that I was gushing about the place to an out of town visitor and the look on her face was absolute horror when we left. She was too kind to actually say anything though. Bright note was that we ended up going to get some groceries at Ranch 99 and made delicious food out of that.

T&T came highly recommended to me by a Chinese Indonesian coworker, so of course I had to try it. (This is back when it was located in its somewhat dilapidated Shoreline location, not it's new digs at Ranch 99). At the time I thought, "eh, it's okay, but overpriced and kind of bland." That was about five years ago and I dismissed it as my inexperience with this style of Chinese cuisine. Flash forward to the present. My friend and I visited them again a couple weeks ago for lunch, this time at their new location. I regret to say the only thing better about the experience was cleaner, more modern facilities. On every other count, the experience was significantly worse. Right off the bat, I was unpleasantly surprised to discover that rice had to be ordered separately from the main course (at lunchtime!) and there was no lunch menu in any event: dinner prices and selections only. The main courses were overpriced to begin with, but the need to order rice over and above that made the gouging all the worse. Between the two of us, we ordered two main courses, two servings of rice, an appetizer, and tea. One main course came out first, but without rice. The rice came about five minutes later, by which time the main course had grown colder. Then came the second main course. And finally, the appetizer came last. This was all brusquely delivered by an astonishingly unfriendly waitress who never bothered to check on us or refill my glass of water. The food was fine, but nothing remotely worth the prices charged. During all of this, restaurant traffic was light: I'd guess they were seating guests at about 20% capacity. I don't even know where to begin leveling criticisms based on this incident, so I'll just leave it at this and let you form your own opinions as to what you'd think if you had this kind of experience. For my part, I will not be returning. Because I dislike giving gratuitously negative reviews, let me say that one item we ordered, the "Crispy Scallop with Honey Walnuts," was very intriguing: the scallops are deep fried in batter and served with candied walnuts and a creamy mustard sauce. (I would recommend not ordering this as a main course for one diner, however; either order it as an appetizer for the table or as a dish to be shared family-style. The mustard sauce is wonderful but is so abundantly rich that you would likely find it difficult to eat a quarter of it before you became overwhelmed by that richness.) Overall, I cannot recommend this venue. One star.

Really? I found it hard to believe that people don't like this place. I love T&T! Everything I ever ordered was soooo goood! Come on, you got to give this place credit. It's one of the only authentic Chinese food in the area! Other places within Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace area is just filled with all those baloney Teriyakis and bad Chinese take-outs. Sometimes when I came in they sat me at one of the tables near the bathroom. Some chemical stuff they used to clean that place smells really strong -- turns down my appetite. That's the only thing I would like to complain about. At other times, I love everything here!

T & T is my wife's families favorite place for a family dinner. And why not? It's cheap, close, and has huge tables. I am a little less excited about going to T & T and my experience after going in last night tells me that I need to start researching other options in my area. First the good. We ordered green beans with shredded pork, beef chow fun (wet), honey walnut prawns, and half a fried chicken. While not the same quality as my favorite Chinese restaurants in the International District, they were all good and hit the spot. I really love the flavor of the chow fun noodles when they came out. The chicken is always really juicy and perfectly prepared. Honey Walnut Prawns come with too much lettuce and not enough prawns but they are decent. There are a few things I really don't like about T & T. First, and the biggest annoyance I've had across every visit, is that there is no method to how they bring things out. You never get everything at once, that's fine, but I don't want my honey walnut prawns 10 minutes before I get my rice or the rest of my meal. Rice inevitably comes last whenever you visit, and I've even had to remind them to bring it sometimes. Also, service is never more than mediocre, and sometimes is just downright bad. Finally, a small annoyance, but one that I don't see the sense of. They wont do a small bowl of hot and sour soup. My grandfather-in-law can't eat a meal without having soup, but no one else wanted it, and their regular size can feed a crew of 8-10. I know T & T has a huge pot of hot and sour in the back, and could give him a bowl of soup, but the lady gets really snarky and says only the large size is available and she wont make an exception for him. Then she gets all huffy as she's taking the bowls away when I say we don't want the soup. T & T has some decent Chinese food north of Seattle, and its a great option if you're going as a group, but I for one will be looking for alternate options.

Actually, I've had some good service at Chinese restaurants. And T & T definitely isn't one of them. First off, it's awfully noisy in there. My dad complains that it sounds like a bus station. Secondly, our waiter was incompetent and didn't give us tea and forks until we asked him. The people who were seated after us got their drinks 10 mins before! It wasn't even that crowded. And thirdly, I actually had to go to the counter to ask for our check since it took so long. We ordered a ridiculous amount of items (10, I know pretty bad but my mom wanted to splurge since I hadn't had Chinese food for ages) for 5 people and should've had better service. The food is okay, I've had better. The chicken with mushroom hot pot I had was a disappointment, too much ginger, which may be good if you like a whole root of it down your throat. The fried rice was a little greasy. The only thing I really like at T & T is the eggflower soup, hot and sour soup, walnut prawns and the pan fried chicken chow mein which is to die for!! The chow mein has a perfect amount of delicious gooey sauce which complements the noodles and the perfectly cooked meat and veggies. After eating the chow mein, I was satisfied. Until I went outside and realized my jacket smelled completely of grease! I had to wash it immediately.

There seems to be a lot of complaints about the service here - I can't say that I've ever found the type of customer service that most Americans would probably expect at any Chinese restaurant. So in my book, T & T meets the standard, if not exceeds (as in, my water glass is ALWAYS full... a key measure of service at Chinese family-style restaurants). A family favorite, we've been going to T&T ever since it was little shack further south on Hwy 99. Since it's moved to the Ranch 99 complex, you can expect crowds during peak hours. Ask for the pre-set family menu, it's a deal and they allow you to make changes if you ask. Note: When it says "serves four" it really means, "serves 6 + leftovers". Sizzling Seafood Plate, Black Bean Cod, Shredded Pork with Green Beans, Honey Walnut Prawns, Szechuan Style Beef (a little crispy, and all delicious) are a few of my favorite dishes.

Everything I've had here at T&T so far has been good, not great, but with one exception. T&T has the best Honey Walnut Prawns. They are good and more addicting than smoking crack (not that I know what that's like). I've also had beef with broccoli here which was a bust, as well as their beef chow-fun. The fried rice is also mediocre. I love their little rice containers though, that amused me for about 2 minutes. As for the service, it's decent and when you walk in, you usually get seated right away. The food here is pretty cheap (money wise, not quality) for Chinese food, but overall, decent. I also like the fact that they box up my food for me, because after a big meal, I get kind of lazy. Check it out if you're ever in the area and are craving Chinese.

Pros: dim sum, tastes of all the foods, price compared to Seattle dim sum Cons: no selections- only 1 cart and 1 tray someone is holding, HORRIBLE service. Summary- go only if u want like 4 different items, not in a rush.

Just order from the menu - skip the dim sum for now. I highly recommend that tofu pork dish where the roundish like tofu is pan-fried to a golden brown- yummm!!! However, I was disappointed with the dim sum, it needs lots improvement.

Delicious food, TERRIBLE service. They ran out of everything on a Sunday afternoon? Staff just ignored our table while we sat and waited for 20-25 minutes and it wasn't even busy. Some of the staff actually sat at the next table and ate. Might be worth the drive downtown where they are able to keep the carts coming and staff is a lot more attentive.

Really was looking forward to the Dim Sum but missed on timing. Dining for 4, we each picked dishes from menu. The food was delicious. Fresh and unique. The Honey walnut scallops were amazing and the Beef and Broccoli too. Service was prompt and curtious. We did have to take our check up front to pay, no big deal. We will definatley go back for the dim sum

This place is in the neighborhood and I never really thought to try it...now I have a legitimate reason why I don't want to go back. Seattle has a good amount of Chinese restaurants - therefore, my standards may be a bit higher because I have been to so many and have become accustomed to what I think is really good & what isn't. First off, the service here sucked - it took forever to order, and to get the food, and make requests to get water - The first dish we got, we were staring at the plate after we both had one bite because the meat was so dry and tasted like they re-fried the dish. Finally, we flagged someone down and said that it didn't taste right, he didn't say one word and just took the dish away. OK.....well, not sure what he told the cooks in the back but he did come back with what we ordered, and it did taste better from the first one - We also ordered the walnut prawns & salted cod & chicken fried rice. Both were OK....but we barely ate any of it - had leftovers that we never got around to eating again. It was really unsatisfying. Maybe we ordered the wrong things - but enough damage to not want to risk our dollars again for a little while. Although, the location is convenient - I'd rather travel a little farther to get better quality.

We went here with a party of 12 for dim sum on the weekend and was super lucky to immediately get a table. Yeah! The food and experience was very good. We ordered both off the menu and the dim sum carts. At first there were not alot of carts coming around, but once they made their rounds it was pretty frequent. The variety of the dim sum was good and up to par with any other dim sum places...... all the expected/usual dishes are there. We had to waive for service but once we caught the attention of the servers, they were very attentive and brought us everything we needed. Overall we had a great lunch.

The dim sum flavor here rivals that of any of the established places in chinatown. If I am being honest, it is a significant step up flavorwise from O'Asian (mediocre) and not quite as good as the old Jade Garden (which has gone downhill in the last few years after it changed hands). This puts it on the top tier of flavor here in Seattle. Their menu items are really good too, especially their house specialties, like the house special crab. As far as the service is concerned, it is not great. However, for dim sum, it is on par. When you go to dim sum, you will have to (gasp) raise your hand and get the attention of the server(s). This is the standard at all dim sum places that get decent business. At T&T this happened every time I tried, and I got what I wanted quickly. So, raise your hand, your majesty, and you will be served. Finally, T&T has only been doing dimsum a fairly short while now, and they have been above average from the get-go. Reason for a 4 star instead of 5 star: the food alone is a 4: Good but not perfect. A solid B+ / A-. Give it a try.

I am SO happy that good dim sum is now only 10 minutes away and I no longer have to drive down to the International District for my fix. And also that I didn't get discouraged by the negative reviews about the service. Our visit to the T&T for dim sum saw us arriving at about 11:20 a.m. on a Saturday. It's true there's no obvious place to check in, and it seems a little disorganized in the seating, but thankfully there were only a couple of pairs ahead of us and we were seated within 5 minutes, with food on the table less than 5 minutes later. Tea arrived shortly after. We were never offered any water. The food was hot and excellent and the variety was ample. We enjoyed the chicken feet (a first for us), decent hum bow, good sticky-rice in banana leaves, and several other typical dishes, the names of which I can never remember. To my surprise given all the great reviews, althouth the first bite of honey walnut prawn seemed delicious, by the time I finished the first prawn, the mayo was just a little too obtrusive, Worth a try though. I would say the serving portions are a little more generous than the places I've been in the ID. The carts seemed to come by at reasonable frequency, and although the place filled up, the offerings didn't get sparse the way they sometimes can. Price-wise it mostly seemed reasonable, although I won't spend the $6 for the honey prawns again. The other dishes we ordered were either $2.75 or $3.35 each. All in all, a great option for the North end.

Lucked into this place when it first opened in Shoreline. My judgement of a good Chinese place is on their appetizers and chef's specialties. Both had a bunch more than typical american/chinese place. If you are really ready to experience your inner carnivor, get a fresh crab in the house sauce!!

Blatantly overrated. The food is bland and it feels like they didn't add any salt whatsoever. Service is terrible although the food arrives surprisingly fast. The green beans were rotten too. 2 stars because the food is fast

So I came here with my dad for lunch. It's really different from when it first opened years ago - I remember it being more lively, more waitstaff, and being mildly surprised and impressed that there could be good chinese food north of Seattle. Yup, if you venture away from the debatable "chinese" food on their lunch menu (i.e. sweet and sour anything, and deep fried whatever), they have really good cantonese food. My dad and I came here for lunch today, and although service and ambience was lacking, our food was good. We had the steamed fresh fish of the day (forgot what type of fish) - and it WAS AMAZINGLY fresh. It was more expensive at about 15 bucks per pound, but I gobbled up the fish. I didn't enjoy the little white boy at the next table gawking in disgust (and announcing to his parents loudly) at my diving for the fish cheeks and sucking the last bits of tender fish meat off the bones, but then again, this is Edmonds ... not San Francisco ** sigh ... We also had their fresh steamed vegetables, and it was incredibly expensive for what it was. I don't live north, but I guess if I did and I didn't want to drive any further south, I'd come here. Otherwise, I'd probably just stay in Seattle for some chinese food ...
