Way overpriced for a, mediocre at best, steak. The only reason I give it 2 stars is the salad bar and soup were good. Save yourself $150 and get a salad and get out.

The new menu pricing at this place is absurdly high, and the quality does not warrant it. I regularly eat in some of Manhattan's best restaurants for a lot less. Not too mention a steakhouse without a hamburger on the menu? They don't own a grinder? $72 for a steak is clearly a case of tourist price gouging. Recco is to go across the street to Charity's.

The place was very happening on a Saturday night. We called ahead to see the wait and was told no wait. When we got there (about 10 minutes later) the wait was 45-60 minutes. We felt cheated on. Anyway the guys wanted their steaks so we hung around the bar. When we finally sat down the service was pretty decent. I got the special - stripe bass with mash potatoes and clam chowder soup on top. The guys enjoyed their steak very much but my food was strange. The bass was fresh but a little over done. The clam chowder soup was not good and the mash was ok. For a $30 dish, this was not worth it. The bottom line is if you are there for steak, I think it is a good choice. Otherwise, pick somewhere else for seafood.

The food at wobbly barn is really pretty good. However certain people who work the hostessing area don't understand that they work in hospitality. Our friends came in, said they had a party of 7 (4 people were present at the time, so clearly the entire party wasn't there), but we were seated around 5:50 pm. We made it down the mountain at 6:05 and our friend made it down at 6:20. We ordered several apps, tons of drinks and then about $400 worth of steaks. We had a great time with our friends. We paid and left a generous tip for our waitress who was really excellent. However within 2 minutes of paying our bill the hostess came over and asked to leave saying we had stayed for a really long time (all told 1 hour and 50 min) and then bad mouthed us to a group of people waiting for a table saying we had stayed for 3 hours (patently untrue). And after we told her it was extremely rude of her to push us out she was callous and very unkind. She has a great future in the hospitality business. Our waitress actually apologized for her behavior on our way out. Great hiring decisions wobbly barn. We won't be back.

We had a looooooong wait for dinner, but the meal was terrific! The salad bar was crazy awesome and was filling as a meal in itself. One weird thing was the restaurant is underneath the nightclub so it got pretty loud when the music started thumping upstairs. But it's a fun, bustling atmosphere and perfect for a hearty meal after a day on the slopes.

I wasn't a fan. My husband and I did some research and heard good things about this place. Especially their "world famous salad bar", which was very dismal and disappointing. When you see the name "The Wobbly Barn", you don't expect to go in and find the cheapest thing on the menu a crab cake the size of a half dollar for $15. Our total bill was $135 and we walked out very disappointed.

We went to Wobbly for dinner a few nights ago while visiting killington and it was amazing. The host was very friendly and sat us right away. The server came over and introduced herself and told us the specials for the night. We both started with the salad bar and soup. Which was the best salad bar I've ever had!!! Definitely recommend it. And we also had shrimp cocktail to share. We were so full, should have passed up on the shrimp to save room for our mouth watering entrees, which we wished we finished. I ended up ordering the 8oz NY Strip on the regular menu with rice. The steak was delicious. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly. The rice was terrible. Way too herby, I thought I took a bite of parsley. It also had chickpeas which hate. I told the waitress, Sharon and she brought out a side of mashed potatoes within 3 minutes. The potatoes were very tasty. Over all I had a great meal. My boyfriend ordered a NY Strip as well, 12oz, from the specials that night, that was topped off with Worcester sauce and fresh lemon juice, with a side of garlic mashed. He really enjoyed it. I had the chocolate martini for dessert and it was very good as well. Our server Sharon was very helpful and sweet the whole night. The busser, Pat was quick and came over to the table about 5 times through out the meal to remove dirty plates. Over all a great staff, delicious food and good drinks. Can't wait to go back!

Tried three times to get a decent steak in Killington....it's not gonna happen! WB...the steak was cooked perfectly, but no flavor. The garlic mashed, barely warm, not much garlic, no butter, two forkfuls was all I could take. The salad bar was mediocre...not worth the extra price. Service was good.

Had dinner here with ski group in March 2014. Porterhouse Ribeye steak with garlic butter was delicious, huge but pricey. Also ordered the salad bar which could have been a meal in itself, offering 3 soups, 2 speciality breads, 3 types of greens and assorted veggie and toppings. The lettuce and some of the chopped veggie items looked wilty old - friend got sick and vomited a couple of hours after dinner. Because it is expensive to eat there, and the quality is uneven, I would check out other places in the area before going back there, and also inspect the salad bar before ordering to make sure it is ok that evening.

Every time my boyfriend and I visit Killington to snowboard we always come to Wobbly Barn for dinner, actually this is almost like a tradition for us. The food is great, and although the salad bar is no longer free ($7pp), you can take numerous trip to it and share your soup & salad with everyone at the table. Last night I got the beef tenderloin Oscar with crab meat, asparagus and mashed it was delish! Bf got the ribeye and loved it as well. This place never disappointed us before. Overall, good food, good selection, nice waiters, beer and a laid back atmosphere.

I just ate there the other night as I always do when visiting Killington. It's always a great meal and you def can't go wrong with any steak. The salad bar is great with homemade soups and fresh bread.

So extremely disappointed. My Husband and I are on our Honeymoon and we wanted to enjoy a nice evening out somewhere we could get a delicious meal and a glass of wine or two. We were told the wobbly barn was a great place for just that. Maybe our expectation were set a little to high because this is not a restaurant I would ever return to never mind refer someone to eat there. After the snotty "I'm better then you waitress" spoke to us like we were small children in a restaurant we didn't belong we both ordered steaks and I got the salad bar. Now mine was $27 and my husbands was $41 and I didn't mind paying the price because I expected a savory steak I would enjoy every bite of but well that won't happen for me tonight. First though I got up for the salad bar and thats where everything went down hill the restaurant was not busy at all we Got there about 20 minutes after they opened and the salad bar was full but the was a staff member watching me like a hawk putting food on my plate which made me personally very uncomfortable so I didn't go up again because I didn't want to be eyed while getting my food. Then our food came out and my steak looked like lump of coal it was charred so black and then I went to open it and it was bleeding all over my plate which would of been fine if I wanted it rare but I ordered it medium well. They take back my steal cook it to my preference but it is now so completely charred if taste awful and although they asked to replace it was something else my husband was nearly finished with his meal and I was upset. I let them know I wouldn't like anything else but I don't expect to pay for the steak because it's not what I expected so they take it off the bill which I was grateful for expect the saad bar that I ordered that was $8 they went ahead and charged me $15 which really irked me considering I didn't even feel comfortable To go up and get another salad to eat. We will most definitely visit killington again but for dinner you will most like find me at the Baja restaurant down the road which I ate at two nights earlier we enjoyed the food and service!

Came here with a very large group of about 16. They don't take reservations so one of us went about an hour early just to put our name in. We got drinks while we waited and we were divided into 3 tables. Our waitress was great and let us divide checks per couple. i prime rib and I couldn't finish it but really wanted to. It was so delicious we saved it and made steak and eggs in the morning. It was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had the filet mignon and it was also cooked perfectly and so tender. He added the salad bar to his dinner and we were beyond stuffed but extremely satisfied with our meal. We tried the rack of ribs which someone else tried in our table, she thought it was over cooked but we really like them. It is pricey but definitely worth the price for the steaks. yum! We went to the bar upstairs after dinner, drinks were a good price and bartender was attentive. We didn't really like the live band but had a good time either way.

This place was always a favorite of ours whenever we come to Killington and I'm happy to say this has not changes this time around. They actually take the healthy approach to steakhouse such as no fried food on the menu so, much respect to them for that. The appetizers were very good especially the mussels in white wine sauce. The steak were out of this world as were the garlic mashed potatoes. Very good service as well. Definitely stop by here on your next trip to Killington.

I'm not sure why this place is ranked so high. The prices are ridiculous for below average fare and drinks that are obviously watered down. The service is friendly but so is everyone in Vermont in general so I wasn't expecting anything else. Most of the entrees were a bit overpriced although I guess you can chalk it up to location. There was a pretty hefty cover at the door as well after dinner hours. Drinks were quite watered down and around NYC prices, sometimes more. I really wouldn't come here again after a long day at the slopes. If you like getting fratty and drunk and waking up late the next day I can see the attraction to this place but not on my places to go to in Killington

Probably the best place to go in killington. Ok, the salad bar is a little anemic but the steaks and Prime Rib were great. Quality of beef is not Prime but you are not paying "prime" prices also. The steaks are well seasoned and nicely prepared. Very friendly and efficient service. Not a great wine list but very fair and reasonable mark up.

I was very disappointed with the food they were serving! Their service were good just the food was not impressed! It used to be my favorite place, now is just over priced and ordinary! and they even charge for salad bar! It used to be free

Spent a couple nights at this classic establishment - Trish is a town legend, the salad bar/delicatessen bar has all you can ask for. No better place in this town.

Been there once before 2 years back. Had a fun time despite the over priced drinks (and I go out in nyc all the time, so that's saying something). Went last night and to my astonishment they were charging a $10 cover that I certainly don't remember paying last time. Bouncer was very rude and said the cover was going up to $20! I don't even pay that much in the city. We didn't even go in and had just a good a time down the road for no cover and cheap drinks at Outback Pizza Bar.

The Wobbly Barn doesn't require a long review: * Fantastic salad bar that included something like 30 items plus bread plus soup. * AMAZING steaks and other dinners.

  • Tracie L.

We went for happy hour. They have a free nacho bar, which was decent and you can't beat free! There was also a band. This was on the middle level. Here is the problem, at the end of Happy Hour they tell you that you either need to move downstairs or upstairs for dinner. They will then reopen that level later. We were refused a beer because we needed to move to another level. It didn't make sense to us as we were not looking for dinner, we just wanted drinks. So....we left! If they didn't work it that way, we would have stayed. So they end up losing out on business (and we saved money because we went back to our condo)

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and honestly I came here because it seemed like Wobbly Barn is the only steakhouse in the Killington Ski Resort area. We came a bit early to avoid a wait. One thing that there's two sides, a nightclub and a restaurant. Pretty good idea since I do not need to see a drunk fight while having my steak, anyway, back to the restaurant! I ordered the porterhouse and my man ordered one of the specials, filet mignon with steamed lobster tails and claw and mashed lobster potatoes. Now there is a wait for the food, probably because I'm from New York and service has to be in speed of light. But I patiently waited. The porterhouse was the best entree I ordered, my boyfriend on the other hand, we both looked as if there should've been more on his plate, the lobster tails and claw were already deshelled so it gave this look as he ordered diet food. But the filet mignon he ordered, wow just like butter in your mouth! And the lobster mashed potatoes, fantastic! My porterhouse was served perfectly, raw and juicy with the perfect spices. We will come back when we visit again!

Went there for dinner after snowboarding with a party of 10 people, very disappointed with the Veal dish....... my other friends who order the beef was okay.... another beef was over cooked which should be send back... ( as we are nice ppl, we only gave it to other friends who would like to eat)... I must give a plus to the salad bar...... it was good, as unlimited as well... the chili soup and the clam chowder were okay....... Over all, pricy ....

Happiness = après-ski drinks and socializing at The Wobbly Barn. Fred Flinstone steaks. Excellent salad bar. One of the better wine lists in the area. Joy at our table.

Got the New York strip and the salad bar. It was delicious. The salad bar had lots of choices plus there two signature soups of the day. Staff and server were great too. Definitely recommended!!!!!

Long day on the mountain? Tired, achy, and bruised? Stop by *the* WB on your way home to cure what ails you. Happy, welcoming staff. LEGIT babyback ribs (and, of course, steaks). $3 Long Trails on draught. Nuff said.

I don't know why the reviews are so so on this! We didn't have any steak so maybe that's why but everything we had was wonderful! Sara- our waiter was super! It was a great Bday meal! We had the amazing salad bar with delish potato bacon soup! Then we had the side of cream spinach which was to die for! The Dijon rack of lamb was so tasty as was the pork chops! We will come back any time we visit Killington!

It is probably one of the best place to eat in Killington, a little pricey tho, but food is good, the salad bar is pretty good and it is a meal itself. The waitress is very nice.

I've eaten here 4 times over the last 7 years that I've come to Killington for an annual ski trip. Only once has my filet mignon come out the way I ordered it: RARE! Is it to much to ask that a place that bills itself as a steak house know how to cook steak? I guess so! The last visit I cut my steak open and saw that my rare steak was medium and thought to complain about it. My steak was replaced with a new one and it was even taken off the bill! That impressed me enough to want to come back this year. This year, we found that no longer is the salad bar included in the price of the meal but is "optional" for $7 extra. They are charging over $30 for a steak and can't even be bothered to include the salad bar? They claim they dropped the prices on the entrees but they are still outrageously expensive! Now it costs over $40 to get what amounts to a steak dinner here if you want to have their "world famous salad bar" with it. Once again, my daugher and I both ordered a RARE filet mignon. It was a Thursday night and we were one of only a few tables seated and eating so it wasn't like the cook was busy or anything. Sure enough, our steaks came out medium..with a pink center and grey meat that was dried up at the edges. What a shame that a good cut of meat was basically dried out and ruined. My regret that was that I couldn't be bothered to ONCE AGAIN send the food back so I ate it, which made for a rather unsatisfying meal, especially since the tab set me back $100 for a salad bar, 2 overcooked steaks and some rather tasty garlic mashed potatoes, and a tip. We had no drinks, no appetizers, no dessert. When I complained about the steak being cooked wrong AGAIN the waitress did take one of the charges for the $7 salad bar off the bill so that was something. The service was excellent. No complaints there but I won't be coming back again, not at the insanely high prices to a steak place that doesn't even know how to cook a steak!

The best filet mignon I have EVER had. Dinner arrived quickly and perfectly cooked. It was melt in your mouth delicious. The potato side was perfect too. Unfortunately, the drinks were weak and overpriced. The service was super friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it was a great experience.

Bad: Water down overpriced drinks Condensation dripping from the ceiling into multiple tables food Overpriced even for a resort town Good: Salad bar Our waitress was a sweetheart Bottom line: try a different place for food. Go to pickle barrel for fun. If you do go here, get beer or wine and look above your table before being seated.

We came here for dinner our first night in Killington. We sat at the bar and order drinks while waiting for our table. While sitting at the bar, the bartender sprayed me with beer. It got my face, hair and jacket wet, but I wasn't upset about it until the bartender didn't apologize or offer me any napkins to wipe up beer now running down my face. All he said was the keg kicked, which is a reasonable explanation, but not a 'sorry about that.' Another patron at the bar even commented. I think the salad bar is a little over rated, but I did enjoy it. The clam chowder was good, but I thought the chili was some of the worse I've ever tasted. We ordered the ribs and veal for our entrees. I thought the ribs were good for where we were, but they aren't fall off the bone ribs. The veal was better than I was expecting it to be, but slightly too much sauce for my liking.

I've been coming to Killington for a few years but for some reason I've never eaten at the Wobbly Barn, just been to the night club on one occasion. So last week decided to check it out. The service was excellent, the steak was great. I have always thought of salads as something to be given to a pet rabbit but I must admit the wobbly salad bar was good and more interesting than boring old green leaves. So would I go again? Yes. Tonight. I would recommend this place. It's might not be Smith & Wollensky or Peter Luger but it's good.

Went here for my birthday with family after skiing. The wait was not bad, only about a half hour, the salad and bread bar were great (an extra $7). However, the steaks were horrible. Just big $30-40 slabs of meat with zero flavor and next to nothing for side dishes. The only reason I'm giving it two stars and not one is because the ribs were great, but still $30. Many other great spots around Killington to dine that are half the price and much better. Don't waste your time.

thank you Wobbly Barn... this is one of the best restaurants i have ever been to. i live in nyc and have been lucky enough to eat at some of the best restaurants and i know a great well-managed restaurant when i am lucky enough to find one. are there fancier places in the world, or more haute cuisine, sure. but, for outstanding american food in a rustic steakhouse with ski-lodge authentic charm... this is as good as Ive experienced from any restaurant in any category. I went two nights in a row this past week (during my first trip ever to Killington). The first night at Wobbly Barn made the thought of going anywhere else for dinner the next nite obsolete. Im so glad I asked around before we decided on dinner out that first nite. from the moment we came in nite 1, the mgr was courteous and friendly. next was our waiter... this guy is the kind of server that legends are made of... David aka "Duad". not only a great server, but a classic character and gentleman... a throwback to the days of manners and joviality that I can only imagine the 1950s were made of. just a great guy with terrific spirit. eating out for me is a pretty common occurence in the city (albeit more often than not, disappointing on at least one level or another)... so, when you get service like this, it is quite memorable, Duad was professional and friendly, without being phony or overbearing. and then the food... bone-in delmonico charred to perfection, crab cakes phenomenal (Im a DC/MD native, I know good crab cakes), salad bar perfection including a very rare albeit simple/classic item... an amazing french dressing. i havent had french dressing like that in years, if ever. great simple salad bar, very fresh, clean, good soups, good homemade breads. nite two, held off on the steaks but had a nice scampi and of course, the salad bar again (the full salad/soup/bread bar is included with all entrees). again friendly greetings from host. we then waited at the cozy bar for our table. bartender made my gf's gimlet well and happily made my americano cocktail (i had to tell him the ingredients; but as this classic isnt often made outside of cocktail-culture type places, i did not mind filling him in and he was happy to make it per my recipe. he also made it quite well I might add for a first mix). waiter this nite was Victor who was extremely polite, well spoken, and mindful of the pacing for our meal. never overbearing but somehow also never absent, a rarity in service. that takes a thoughtful patient server and he has those qualities down pact. every staff member we encountered was great, on nite one we took to the bar/club/stage area upstairs which was impeccably clean while also fittingly rustic. we were early in the nite as this part of the place had just opened around 8, and it smelled of clean wood, was spotless, and every inch of the place was tended to correctly (down to the wall of stickers/flyers/press which gave a nice overview of the establishment's past and present). the music was just right by the house dj before the first band got started. the security guard who stamped our hands on the way in was very nice and also well spoken, courteous and happy to answer our questions. (big guy, beard, didnt get his name). in the nightclub area, we were served by Mike who was a great barman. I managed two very successful bars in nyc in my past and I know a good barman when I meet one. I wasnt surprised to hear he had been there for years when I asked. again, it was great to have good service at yet another point in the place. he was happy to chat with me about the place and the town. this place is a great mix of either a romantic date spot (get a booth) or for the whole family or for a girls/guys night out. and in the dining room, the background music was just right with nice selections of classic rock from cream to the stones (just loud enough to make you feel it, but not loud enough to distract you from your company) no one in the place knew me, yet I was treated like I was the owner's son. it is so rare to have seamless service, and to also have high standards met with the food and with the general care and preservation of the place (clean perfect rustic ski-town type place). it's now no wonder to me how I always happened upon the name of this place when I had considered Killington in the past, and its now one of the main reasons I will return to Killington as Im always in the mood for this type of dining and night life experience, and am happy to travel/pay for it.

When bar hopping on the mountain road, be sure to check out the Wobbly Barn. It's rustic, dark, loud and it has an endless stream of beer on tap. If you're looking for a quiet classic evening out then go somewhere else. Huh? This place has food. Who would have thunk it?

Probably one of the only steakhouses in the area when you stay the weekend in Killington, we come here often when we go on our yearly snowboard trips. Service is very good. Servers are always attentive and our water glasses are always full. That's a plus. The negatives are, what I can only assume, the kitchen. I always order steak and it never comes out the right temperature. I've had a friend send her same steak back twice and it was still BLUE (aka the temperature right before rare). Mind you, she ordered Medium. Inconsistencies like that just don't fly at a place that calls itself a steakhouse.

If your looking for great steak in the area, this is probably the best. Pretty expensive. But hey it's a steakhouse. The filet mignon was amazing along with the garlic mashed potatoes. Mmmm and their salad/bread bar isn't bad either! The great thing about it is, if your going to party upstairs, you get in for free after your meal. If you eat here after 8 though, you can hear the loud club music upstairs. If u don't mind, go for it!

If I could give this negative stars I would. The only good thing at the Wobbly is the salad bar, which they still have the gall to charge 15 dollars for! This is Killington VT people, not NY city. The prices only get worse from there, like 35 dollars steaks and 25 dollar chicken breast. They dont post their prices on their site, so you have to wait till you get there to see how astronomical the prices are. Once you convince yourself that you will pay 35 dollars for a steak in middle of nowhere VT, you will be shocked to find that you could get a steak of this quality at the local Sizzler. Truly an embarrassment. The server suggested that we get the garlic mashed potatoes for the starch, upon seeing them you may think they came from a box, upon tasting them you know they are. The absolute gem of the evening had to be that we dragged our two vegetarian friends there. (I know, dont ask.) They decided they would have the only vegetarian choice on the menu. The description is impeccable, and you might think you are getting a gorgeous risotto type meal with fresh local veggies. What you actually get looks more like oatmeal with cream poured on top and not mixed in. Our friends each had a bite and could not suffer any further. When we told our server that they were unhappy with the food, he walked away!! Thats right folks, he WALKED AWAY! Its not that we expected him to move heaven and earth for us, but a simple 'May I offer you something else?' may have sufficed. I really could go on, but I will spare you and myself from reliving the pain of this horrid excuse for a steak house. Bottom line, eat anywhere but here!

This is probably one of the two better places to eat in Killington. Salad bar is pretty extensive and a meal in itself. The porterhouse was cooked the way I wanted and had no complaints there. It's not the same as the upscale steakhouses, but if you want a good meal in what should be a cowboy bar, this is the place to go. I think if you eat there, you can also go upstairs to the club without paying the cover charge. I wasn't sure if that is always the case, but it never hurts to ask.

5 of 7 from our family were very sick about 3 hours after dinner. I'm not sure, but maybe it was the salad bar, which is way overpriced. The kids steak entrees are jokes, do not buy these. It draws a huge crowd but is definitely not worth any wait at all.

  • Sucre-ski S.

wobbly is a joke. i only ever come when entrees are discounted and even then it's overpriced. wobbly bills itself as some upscale steakhouse and it prob is one of the better places to eat in killington ... but that's like saying a goldfish in a bag is the best sashimi in afghanistan. i ordered my ribeye rare because i knew they'd overcook it, and voilà it came out medium. the rice pilaf wasn't bad but whatever. the salad bar is awesome though. i actually adore the spread of soups and all the fixings ... i could and do come back just for that once a year. the nightlife is hilarious. it's a more middle-aged crowd and i always end up at pickle barrel anyways. it's prob just a few more years until my friends and i are relegated to wobbly.

Came here mid-December.. and boy, this is where the party is at! The place was loud, booze flowing, music playing - made the 1 hour wait for a table much bearable. My party of predominantly guys were starved by the time we sat down and chowed down on *gasp* salad from the salad bar!! Ok, the boys will eat salad because it's included with the entree. Free is always good, right? but no these boys made 2nd, 3rd trips to the salad bar. Me, finally getting up to see what the hype was all about, took my drunk ass to the salad bar to find a glorious selection of vegetables, fresh sliced bread, soup and other treats! .. and yes in the middle of a "steakhouse". Impressive salad bar I give them that. By the time my steak came I was about to pass out from the alcohol that's been in my body since 3pm so I don't remember much of how it tasted. I do remember going "WTF?!" when the check came so I think the place was a bit overpriced. It's a fun place with not much other places to choose from after a day out on the mountain.

Went there this past saturday night. Waited 45 minutes for a table. Steaks were not medium rare as ordered and when we ordered a side of creamed spinach, the waiter didn't inform us it already came with the dish. Expensive for just OK food. Salad bar is not world famous and the delmonico cut was not cut well. $300 for four people (only THREE entrees) Ouch!

My review is based on the restaurant ONLY - I was too tired after a day of skiing to partake in the live-music festivities on the main floor. The food was good, but not good enough for the prices the Wobbly charges. $35 for a 7 oz filet in a restaurant that has sawdust as a floor accent is a little outrageous. Granted, the entrees do come with an unlimited salad bar (priced at $15 alone), the price for meat was a little high for me. The quality of the food was good, but nothing to write home about. The best thing about the Wobbly (and Outback Pizza, Pickles, and others) is that it has a free shuttle up and down the access road.

I'm going to break my own rule and do some stereotyping here. Basically, if you're a 24 year old dude who is into the Jersey Shore and likes 6:1 male/female ratios so you can stand around and talk to your bros about that random hot chick over there while waiting a half hour for one of the four prima-donna (horrible, horrible service) bartenders in the whole joint to pour you a weak drink, then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! On the plus side, if you are already drunk and have nothing better to do, given that you're chilling on the side of a mountain, probably sore from a day of skiing, and there's nothing else around, then this place does have plenty of energy and you'll probably see some stupid people acting stupid, which is always entertaining on some level. SURVEY SEZ: BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!

Great place to hang out in Killington, wish I would have gone to the steakhouse but was only bar hopping. Awesome for apres ski!

My main complaint about this restaurant is the staff. I went to wobbly barn with 11 friends from school during college week, racked up a large tab, the on the way out saw an ad that said 20% off your check with college ID. When I asked the manager if it could still be applied after we paid he said "no, it advertised everywhere" Maybe we should have read every piece of paper littering the walls to find this, but I think the hostess/waitress/anyone could vE mentioned it along with the specials. Food was decent, but I won't be going back next time I'm at killington, I have a feeling I'd be more satisfied elsewhere.

Hadn't been there in about 5 years until this week. It was not as good as I had remember, the salad bar seemed a little weaker and the soups were not good at all. The prime rib was okay and best however the strip and ribeye looked super juicy and the people I was with had no compliant while eating them. I did go midweek so it was very slow and that may have been the cause for the mediocracy. I hope I was there on an off night because this was my favorite spot in Vermont in the past!

When in Killington VT you have to get to the Wobbly Barn on a Saturday night. They have a live band that plays cover songs. I think it's a different band every weekend. Then of course a DJ, who plays rap and top 40. Its kind of a place where people of all ages can go, but if you're over 30 it brings you back to your late teens early 20's. That's just my opinion!!! OHHH and the drinks are CHEAP, compared to what we pay in Boston!!! I think I got like 8 shots for 20bucks...now that's a deal. And don't worry you won't feel any pain the next day on the slopes!!!!! Have fun :)

The most popular place to go in Killington, which unfortunately means very long wait and very overpriced. The food is good and has a pretty good salad bar, with fast service.

The Wobbly Barn is a Killington institution. It's a great place for drinks apres ski. The food is okay but nothing special. The place has a certain rustic charm that makes it worth a visit. It can get crowded and noisy but that's fine if you're in the mood for a good time after skiing.

Went to the Wobbly Barn last night for an early, romantic dinner with my wife for our first night at Killington in 2013. VERY DISAPPOINTED, We both wanted salad bar and a small meal, so we ordered the half slab of ribs to be accompanied by the hefty $7.00 charge for side salad bar. Salad and bread bar was great, but only visited once. Ribs came and at first bite, i knew that the evening was going to go downhill, immediately. The ribs were tough and being a "BBQ Rib Snob" from TN and AL, I was terribly and utterly disgusted. They tasted like they were cooked three to four days ago and re-heated for our plates. A key note in this report, the ribs came out before I finished my salad and bread, which is way too quick, if you know how to prepare ribs in bulk for a meal! Anyway, after telling the waitress about my displeasure, she asked if i would accept any other substitutes or something else. But, at which time, i was already full and didnt want anything else. When the bill came, there was no concession, nor any acknowledgement that there was a problem, I had to ask for it. When I asked, there was some push back and the resolution that was agreed upon was not in my favor, even though I only ate one rib! I will NEVER go back to this place again, and we own property just off Killington Road! Moreover, I will also tell everyone of my experience there!

This place is always busy so either plan to come early or wait about an hour for a table. Upon walking into the barnyard like structure, you will see a free coat check straight ahead. You can ignore the coat check and proceed down the stairs for the restaurant, or the nightclub on the main floor (with a $10 entrance fee) for the various live bands that occasionally come in. We noticed the place was pretty empty at around 7pm, so we decided to dine in. Walking downstairs, you will be introduced by the hostess, who immediately sat us. There was a good amount of seating ranging from tables with chairs and also booth tables. We were fortunate to get a booth table, or maybe not so fortunate. The edge of the booth seat had a 1/2" molding/raised edge, which made it quite awkward and tight to get out of the seats. The rest of the restaurant was dimly lit, but was nicely done, comfy and cozy. Service was pretty impeccable. The waiter came over to take our drink orders and mention the specials, and all the meanwhile was very courteous and enthusiastic about giving any recommendations and clarifications on dishes. The waiter also came over several times during the meal to clean dishes, refill our waters, and asked if we needed anything else. I decided to try their prime rib which was one of their house specialties. I ordered the Mountain Cut Prime Rib which was a 16 oz. prime rib of beef au jus ($31.95) with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. We also ordered a daily special, ravioli filled with spicy sausage and grilled shrimp ($23.95). We also ordered some beef, Long Trail Blackberry for $5.50 and a Long Hammer I.P.A. for $6.50. Included with our meals was the free soup, salad, and bread buffet bar. The two soups being offered were New England Clam Chowder and Buffalo Chicken Soup. The salad bar seemed pretty average, with spinach and mixed greens, and then the usual sides (egg whites, peppers, cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, artichokes, olives, shredded carrots, croutons, onions, bowtie pasta and more). Some of the 6 dressings were pretty interesting, from the Maple Vermont Vinegrette, to the Tomato-style dressing. On to the food. The New England Clam Chowder was delicious!! Perfectly creamy in consistency and not too salty or bland. The only gripe was that there were not enough clam chunks in the soup. The Buffalo Chicken soup was very odd, with shredded bits of chocolate and a medley of vegetables ranging from celery, carrots, and more. It was slightly spicy, tomato soup thin in consistency, but the taste was oddly peculiar, somewhat of a turn off. The salad bar could easily be forgotten as some of the ingredients did not taste entirely fresh nor stale, just average. Our meals came out in about 15 minutes from our order, only giving us enough time to get a plate of salad, and a bowl of each soup. The 16 oz. prime rib was perfectly cooked and sat in a big pool of au jus. It looked very appetizing, but after taking a couple bites, I've come to the conclusion that the prime rib was quite bland and subpar. There was not a lot of seasoning, where they could have seared the outer edges with spices to bring some flavor out. I kept thinking of putting some salt on the prime rib to bring out the flavor because the au jus did not do a very good job at that. There was a substantial part of marbleized fat through the meat but it was slightly chewy and unappealing. The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Yum! I was a big fan of the ravioli stuffed with spicy sausage and shrimp. It had a nice kick to it. My only gripe with that dish was that no sides were included and portions were small with only about 8-10 pieces of large ravioli. In all, for the several attempts I have tried to come here to dine in, I am glad that I have finally had the chance to try it out, but I was not at all impressed with their specialty, the prime rib. Maybe it was a bad day for them because 1-hour waits have to say something about the restaurant, but I'd wander on the border of caution for their simplicity of dishes and high prices. The soup, salad, and bread buffet bar could be your main entree for $17.95, but again, definitely not worth the price because of the simple and cheap sides.

If your looking for a good time in killington this is about as close as you can get to it. I showe up on the Monday after Xmas b4 new years with one of my boys hopin to find some females. Not happening. Killington is loaded up with groups of dudes and guys with their girlfriends. The 10 dollar cover sucked but at least they had free coat check. The band was actually very good too. Just not a great place to go tower girls but I supposse nothing is up here so you might as well bring ur own. Drinks were expensive. The draft beer they had on tap was 6.50 a glass. Pretty expensive after paying 10 for cover. But I guess that is the Vermont way. Try to soak the out of state ppl for every penny they can. Next time I come to Vermont I will go to Stratton. The skiing is much better and there is close to no nightlife up here to make It worth coming here. Not that there is at Stratton, but the mountain is much nicer and not as crowded.

My boyfriend and I came here on our last night here in Killington for a farewell Killington dinner. Our waitress was nice and attentive. She came with a fresh pepper grinder, refilled our waters when needed, answered all our questions about the area and the event that was going on later. The drinks are priced higher than normal, you in a resort after all. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib and I ordered some type of steak oscar. He ordered his medium rare which came out right. However it could have been a more seasoned. I ordered my steak medium rare but it came out closer to medium well. The 'oscar' part of my meal was fantastic. They didn't gip me off of the jump lump crab meat. Which made the meal taste that much better. The soup offering that day was bland. Tasted like it came from a can. I wasn't impressed with the salad bar, pretty typical. Overall for the price we paid the food was mediocre. During our dinner, which was early like at 7pm, they were doing sound checks and blasting noise from upstairs. The gound was shaking. Not very pleasent if you are trying to enjoy your dinner...

If you're looking for a place to eat, go somewhere else. If you're searching for a relaxing night, do not go here. If you're looking for the place to party, this is it. The food is severely overpriced and mediocre at best. The open bread, salad and soup bar is tasty, but for over $20, it's a rip off. The steaks consist mainly of fat too and this is supposed to be a steakhouse. This bar typically has a great live band every Saturday night. After a long day of skiing or snowboarding, this is the place that people 21-35 yrs old typically flock too. It gets packed and everyone had fun. There are 3 bars available, but the bar service is extremely slow. Expect to wait up to 15 minutes for a beer on a busy night. If you stop at the bar at Killington mountain lodge, make friends with the bartenders. They always have free passes, which let you get by on the cover charge. Food: 2 Stars Entertainment: 4 Stars If you go to Killington, spend your Saturday late-night here.

Apre-ski happy hour... Rustic setting, friendly bartenders and a decent (free) nacho bar. However, there aren't any drink specials at happy hour(except bud light) and the bar itself was freezing. We would have stayed longer, but it was just too cold.

Ignore all the haters... They have no clue I did the new years eve jam here this year it was so rockin.... The group of 12 ppl had zero complaints even my clowny friend who got kids order of ribs... Demonico, porterhouse and chop were all supreme and the best thing I tasted was the duck my friend ordered. Out of this world... I will def be back every time I go to vt to shred

After a day at the slopes, this is a Nice place to have a simple hearty dinner and then go back upstairs for some live music and drinks! I had the ribs there and it was tasty delicious. The night we were there, we got to listen to Big Baby Ernie ( myspace.com/bigbabyernie ). He kept our spirits high even though we were all exhausted. No reservations are taken, but we called in before we drove over to check on the wait. I would stop by again when I visit Killington :)

Amazing steaks and great salad bar! After giving up on this place on Saturday, we came in on Sunday night. The place was busy, but we were seated right away. The waitress was ultra professional, informative and friendly. The salad bar was plentiful and the bread was fresh. Everybody had steaks and loved them. The peppercorn encrusted steak was my favorite!

Went to wobbly on a Wednesday night during off peak (early March) It's right on Killington Road and the buildling is kinda cool. The main level is the night club and the lower level is the steakhouse. The night club is only open on weekends during off peak. The interior, like lots of Killington restaurants, is mostly wood. Nothing fancy. Our server was very friendly and the service top notch. I ordered a 16oz rib eye on the bone ($35) and my buddy ordered a 160z delmonico ($36). The steaks come with your choice of starch: baked potato, rice etc. Included with entrees is their all you can eat salad bar, which I thought was very good. Everything seemed fresh. There was also soup, bread and some pasta salads on the bar. The steaks came out and they were just as we ordered them. They were decently flavored. Not nearly as good as the dry aged beef that I'm used to where I'm from in NJ, but decent. I ordered rice as my starch. It was mushy and clumped together, but tasted okay. My friend had a similar review of his Delmonico: not a great steak, but a decent steak. He ordered the baked potato which he said was excellent. In fact, he went to the salad bar, got cheese and bacon and dressed his potato with it. Wobbly is easily the best steakhouse in the area and an overall good experience. I'll be back.

I had no business whatsoever tackling the Vertigo run at Killington --- I'm an average skier / disastrous boarder --- but ego got the better of me. New challenges, you know? What's life without 'em? So... basically, I slid down a mile's worth of mountain on my ass. Boy, does that ever work up an appetite! Enter my savior: the Wobbly Barn. My girlfriend wasn't wild about the place (the food, specifically), but she's a better skier than I am, which means she was less tired and less hungry. Also, the WB is pretty hyped in these parts, so she didn't feel it lived up to the rep. Me? After a day on the slopes? Just serve up the BBQ Ribs & Chicken Combo and a brew (with some chocolate cake for dessert) and I'm set. The Barn delivered big-time. Don't be a knucklehead --- stop by. It's a Killington must.

This place didn't come close to living up to my expectations! The wait for a table was an hour, which was expected during Presidents Day Weekend, so no points lost there. We didn't go upstairs, but the live band was rocking out and it sounded to be a great time. The service at the bar downstairs was fine...our bartender was prompt and friendly. A salad bar is included with most entrees and it's decent. Although, the most memorable item was the bread, so don't get too excited. Upon the recommendation of our server, we went for the prime rib. Big mistake! $34 for a 12 oz. prime rib that was completely disappointing. The cut was nice, but there wasn't any special about it. It may have been slightly more appetizing if it had been anywhere near warm...I don't even think it would have qualified as room temperature. This would have been acceptable if I had ordered it rare, but I asked for medium. The color was right on, so I assume it had been sitting for awhile before reaching my knife and fork. The baked potato that accompanied the meat was dried out and required a heavy dose of butter, salt, and pepper to make it edible. I realize this is your typical ski resort restaurant, but trust me, you can do better. Go here to party upstairs, but don't go for dinner.

Best place we ate at in Killington. A bit pricey- @ 30+ per dinner, but the service was great, the salad bar very good with soup, fresh baked bread. My husband had prime rib, one of the adults had ribs, one had shrimp scampi, I had rack of lamb. Even though it was pricey, I would not hesitate to go back. And the bonus- we got to hear live music for free upstairs afterwards.

I went here to experience the Killington Nightlife with some friends of mine this past weekend. It's a HUGE place! They had a band playing 90's rock and contemporary rock and between their sets they would play hip hop and dance music which was a blast. I think the music was better enjoyed than the band. They had plenty of people walking around to make sure things didn't get too out of control. It's a nice atmosphere, it's a laid back dance place and I hear their food is pretty good too. Yay!

Yum, yum. You may have to wait forever if you don't time it right....but wow does this place have the right fixins for eating while on ski/board trip. Yummy steak (and no you can't expect Morton's quality here) great salad and soup (and great Chili) bar and then great baked potatos and bread that accompany the meal. Yum, yum place to hit up Killington Way.

I never complete a snowboarding trip to Killington without stopping at wobbly for dinner. this place has a very fun atmosphere. restaurant downstairs bar/club upstairs. salad bar comes with ever dinner. VERY fresh ingredients in the salad bar. soups and bacon bits to add to the potato you get with your steak. It wasn't the best steak I have tasted in my life, but it hit the spot after a long day of riding. good selection of beer. try a long trail on draft, it is fresh because it is brewed in nearby Bridgewater, VT

my friends and I went for dinner and drinks, and the food was delicious as always. our waiter was also really nice and joked around with us while ordering. the wait was exactly as long as the hostess predicted. we started with the duck wings and the ribs. the wings were the tiniest bit dry but it was made up for it with the delicious sauce. the ribs were absolutely amazing and it made me wish I had gotten the larger size for dinner. I chose the beef tenderloin Oscar, which was topped with fresh crab and asparagus along with a side of garlic mashed potatoes (starch options also included baked, mashed, and rice). the steak was rich and delicious and I enjoyed the crab topping. my husband got the filet mignon and this was cooked absolutely perfectly. I also tried my friend's lamb and it was outstanding, again perfectly cooked with a great complementary sauce. we also enjoyed the live music and vibe, and the wine options were great.

If you cross-pollinated Eva Green's freckly brunette allure with the neighborly charm of Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail, you'd get Sharon, Wobbly Barn's daisy of a waitress and presumably the most qualified woman in Vermont to bring home to mom and dad. As far as the restaurant is concerned, it's a steakhouse in a state with more vegans per capita than Lilith Fair; temper expectations accordingly. (The salad bar is good though.) As far as the bar and nightlife are cornered, who cares, I'm taking Sharon to the drive-in movies for some Junior Mints and necking.

If you're trying to upkeep your anorexic eating disorder, come to the Wobbly Barn on a Saturday night. In fact, visit any restaurant in Killington and you'll be sure to be waiting over 2-hours for a table and probably will never get food. The Wobbly Barn is smart, in that they push you upstairs to the bar to drink while waiting for your table. Before you know it, you've had 5 drinks, you think you're not hungry, the live band is on the stage and you're having fun with your friends. Who wants a steak dinner at 10:00PM anyway? You turn in your pager, you take yourself off the list and then you realize you are hangry b/c you didn't really eat lunch and now you skipped dinner. Fortunately, the downstairs bartender was able to round up a baked potato after the kitchen had closed for the evening, which we split between 3 people. So while we didn't sample an array of the food offerings, that potato was the best damn baked potato the three of us had ever eaten. Or maybe we were just under the influence. All I can say is make reservations or be prepared to wait over 2 hours for a table. I would never pay the cover here. The bar itself is pretty basic, the prices aren't great and the cover band was average.

This is a great place to eat! It is a nice, fun place to eat. They have a salad bar, with some great tasting soups. The salad bar has many things that can be put in the salad. I can not say how amazing the salads are! The soups are also out of this world! I had the ribs, and I loved them. They have two sauces that can be put on the ribs, and they are both great! The service is also great! The waitresses are really nice! I asked for some napkins, and got them instantly. That is an example of how great the service is. The prices is just a little bit much. I highly recommend eating at The Wobbly Barn- a great place with a nice atmosphere, great salads, great soups, great service, and great meals!

For the last 3 years my friends and I have been celebrating the start of the ski season and my birthday at Killington. Every time we come here for dinner. I can honestly say that it is one of the best dinning experiences. Sure it is a little pricey (but nothing we aren't used to coming up from NY). I think about the salad bar all year! The bread and hummus are unbeatable and so is the Wasabi Cucumber dressing. Everything is always fresh and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar (club?) afterwards is a little bit of campy version of a night club but it always guarantees a fun time. Admission is free with dinner so why not go up and get a drink. I look forward to coming back every year!

Our group of 3 endured a 2-hour wait on the Saturday night of MLK weekend. We ended up paying ~35 dollars each for a steak (one of the cheapest entries on the menu). The steak was quite good, but not 35-dollars-and-2-hour-wait-in-Killington good. Even in NYC I rarely had to wait for 2 hours for a meal.

One of the best steakhouses I have ever been to. I came two days in a row. I got the porterhouse on the first day, and a surf and turf with NY strip the second day. Both steaks were excellent. Perfect, in fact. The ambience is great. It's a giant wood structure, like a barn. There's a lively bar upstairs that had an awesome bluegrass band playing. There's meat downstairs. This one place functions both as a very exciting bar and a very tasty steakhouse. There's a fascinating item on the menu: the beast. (If I recall correctly). It was a 3lb lobster, a large porterhouse, and one-hour one-on-one lesson on the ski slopes. The lesson itself was a $119 value, but the whole thing was $105. I didn't order this item. Everyone in Vermont is so damn fit, so damn grateful, and so damn positive. It's like Vermont is the best America has to offer.

Came here for dinner after a whole day of snowboarding at Killington. Really nice decor like it was built by hand, one piece of wood at a time. We were seated fairly quickly despite our group of 16, they were really accommodating when they arranged two tables for us. The waitress that served us (Kelly?) was super informative when we had questions regarding the menu and real attentive when we needed a refill on our drinks. I ordered a 12oz New York strip with a side of garlic mash potato and shrimp scampi with the unlimited soup and salad option. My steak was real tender and the flavored butter that was on it complimented it real well. I am drooling right now just thinking about how good it was. The shrimp was real fresh and it snaps when you bite into it; again super fresh. I had their steak chili soup which was real flavorful with bits of steak. So many options for their unlimited salad bars from veggies to pasta salads to tuna salads. Oh and their warm bread, especially their garlic bread is awesome with their homemade butter. I left a happy, full and satisfied man.

We decided to eat at Wobbly Barn solely because of the free shuttle they offer. We wanted to go out to eat and drink without driving so that was perfect. The reviews were mixed so I wasn't sure what we were in for and it ended up being an average meal. The place is huge and we were seated in a tight booth for the six of us. The lighting was pretty dim, I had a hard time reading the menu but it wasn't a big deal. The waitress was really nice and helpful. I ended up splitting a meal of steak, crab legs and creamy spinach. I could have done without the crab legs, they were overcooked. The steak and spinach were very tasty though. I think it's great that with your meal they give you vouchers to go upstairs which is usually $20 cover I heard. The bar upstairs was a young crowd with decent music and became more fun as I got more drunk. Pricey? Yes but the shuttle, coat check and vouchers made up for it.

Always a good spot if you are up in Killington for a piece of meat. Be ready to pay (it is a steakhouse) but the quality of the meat was great. Andrew our waiter was also very helpful and friendly dealing with a larger group, but I am sure I will be back when I am in the area. Buon Appetito

Never had microwaved steak before... It was interesting to say the least! The staff was good if you like spilled mashed potatoes and beef breath. We ordered one drink and waited an hour. Just felt uncomfortable and not welcomed. Definitely will take my dollars elsewhere next month!

This place is excellent. It is one of the best restaurants in Killington. They had delicious Saint Louis Spare Ribs with a house-made barbecue sauce. Their soup, salad, and bread bar was excellent. They had homemade soups and fresh lettuce with a large choice of toppings and dressings. They had white bread, and in addition to that, had a local bread with garlic that I highly recommend. Our server, Tom was generally friendly and waited on us almost immediately. Overall, highly recommended. Excellent service and food.

The was a very long wait for a table when we arrived and it continued to grow. By the time we were seated the waiting list was 1.5 hours. The steaks were good but very very expensive. Service was excellent and our waitress was awesome. The salad bar is way over rated. Parking was poor. I was there many years ago and it was the same at half the price. If your going to take a family it was very expensive. Think twice Id you have children. Nothing is cheap on the menu.

The staff at The Wobbly Barn was over aggressive and would not let my group of four in the bar with a complementary guest pass. I would not recommend coming here for a weekend in Vermont. Instead, I would definitely make it a point to visit Jax down the road; No cover and had a DJ.

Downstairs steakhouse - 1.5 STARS Two-story bar (first/second level) - 4 STARS STEAKHOUSE REVIEW One of the perks of eating at the Wobbly Barn Steakhouse here is the complimentary cover to the awesome performances at the main/upstairs bar (often a $10-$20pp cover). Unfortunately, we didn't find the food nearly up to snuff. For starters, there was about a 90-minute wait for a table, which, for President's Day Weekend, was to be expected. My gripe, however (and a pet peeve I have with restaurants in general) is that they don't do call-ahead seating. Seriously, what's the difference if I physically go in and place my name on a list or if I call it in - if I wanted to ditch the restaurant, I could easily do so in either scenario. Fine, so we put in our name in around 6pm, left the restaurant to go back to our hotel, shower, etc. and returned at our assigned 7:30 time slot. We weren't seated until 8:30, and we were given the gamut of excuses by the hostess. Once seated, things took a turn for the better. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable of the menu and different cuts of steak available. There's a salad bar add-on option for an additional fee, but she told us to help ourselves to the fresh, homemade bread they had up there for no charge...thanks! ...And now back for the worse. Steak options run between $30 and $40 a plate. My ski bunny ordered the Beef Tenderloin Oscar (topped with asparagus, blue crab, and bernaise) and I selected the Rib Chop (a 16oz bone-in ribeye). We both noticed an odd taste to the crabmeat garnishing her steak - as if it was either fake or expired. Whatever the case, it wasn't good AT ALL. Her medallions beneath were OK, but certainly not worth the price. The same could be said for my Ribeye. Quantity over quality took a whole new meaning when half of my steak was PURE fat. I'm not talking fat nicely marbled in there - It was more like a penned up cow loaded with hormones who probably received little to no exercise... There are no burgers or sandwiches on the menu here - only appetizers, steaks, and the "world famous" salad bar (which to their credit looked very good by the way). Those looking for a good meal, especially one on the cheap: shop elsewhere. BAR REVIEW ...Phew, now that that's out of the way, I have high praise for the bar. Despite the fact that it's Killington-owned and laden with Budweiser ads/signs, this place is pretty cool. They've got a nice stage, decent dance floor, and plenty of sitting and standing room on the main floor. Go up a level, and you've got a wraparound "terrace" overlooking the music and all the action. We saw The Benders here on a Saturday night, and the crowd was a mix of ski tourists in their 20s, 30s and 40s, and a helping of teenage locals who probably had nowhere else to go (Killington has a great nightlife, but remember, THIS IS VERMONT after all!) The Benders covered en eclectic range of songs from Bon Jovi, The Lumineers, Journey, Nicky Minaj and more, and the DJ and band did a great job in handing off the music responsibilities, giving each other props on the mic, and above all else, keeping the music pumping all night! Light and sound technicians set up in the back ensured smooth visual effects and great-sounding music all night. Their work was definitely noticed and appreciated! OVERALL If they have a good band scheduled on the calendar ( wobblybarn.net/site/ente… ), you may find it worthwhile to also have a meal here prior to save on the cover charges. If I were to do it all over again, however, I'd probably eat elsewhere beforehand and get here before 10pm, when cover is only $10pp...the steaks are just not worth your time or money.

Our waiter was great, seemed genuinely friendly. The food was pretty solid as well, had a solid medium well peppercorn steak. While waiting inside for their shuttle (because it was 2 degrees outside), my group got repeatedly berated by their bouncer. He definitely left the impression that once you paid, they don't care. The restaurant was well run, strange dichotomy, but can't recommend.

I went to the Wobbly Barn this past Saturday with group of 8 (mix of friends and family). Most everyone I was with had been to Killington plenty of times and loved the Wobbly Barn. We were seated after a short wait at a large round table with a lazy susan (which proved pretty useless but they are fun so I won't complain). Upon being seated my BF's Uncle informed me that I HAD to get the salad bar - it was the best. Okay I am always up for a good salad. Our server was Sharon and she was fantastic. She was friendly and attentive. The menu is steaks, a few other meat options and some seafood options. For the steaks you can choose your level of "doneness" anywhere from "blue" to "well". Now - I like a rare steak, but blue?? To me that is just raw. I laughed that they had it but elected for "rare" - I wasn't ordering carpaccio. I added the salad bar as recommended. I love salad and the bar is extensive - is it the best...No...but it is good. They have your standard salad options plus a few pasta salads and 2 soups. The chili was excellent. My steak arrived with some butter on top and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. I love salty food - give me salty over sweet any day. However, I would say the steak was a bit too salty and for someone who isn't a salt feen probably too salty. It was cooked perfectly though and the potatoes were delish. I needed some vegetables so we also got a side of sautéed spinach - nothing special here. My BF got the maple ribs - very good. For dessert they offered a few local ice creams and cakes/pies. I got to choose the dessert (rarity) and went with my favorite, cookie dough ice cream. It was very good, but honestly we were so full it wasn't necessary. When you eat in the restaurant you get vouchers for the bar upstairs. We stayed there for about an hour to have a couple of drinks and listen to the band. I wouldn't run back to the bar portion - very young crowd with a mediocre band but fun to have a couple of drinks. If I found myself in Killington again and wanted a steak I would come back. It is pricey but I am accustomed to NYC steak prices not Outback so it was what I expected price wise. Give it a shot. Get the salad bar and hope Sharon is your waitress.

A perennial favorite of ours, the Wobbly never disappoints. The food downstairs is great, but the fun really starts after dinner when you move upstairs. They have great live music and the place is always "rockin"

why anybody would frequent the night-life here is beyond me. $20 to listen to a cover band is insane.

Great rustic ski bar seen, but impossible to get a drink on a Saturday night. Twenty dollar cover equals no service.

What happened to their prices???? We are not in NYC people and the food is average for the prices they started to charge. Salad bar used to be free with entrée now $8 and although the salad bar has not changed it could be better. Since they changed their menu - updated the menu casing itself, they have definitely increased their prices considerably from last year and the year before but they have not updated their décor etc.... Skip it and go somewhere else for the same price we like Foundry a lot more. Nicer atmosphere, better food and same prices. To Wobbly Barn management I hope something changes or we are not coming back.
