Was up in Killington this weekend for a friend's wedding. Steve, at the Greenbrier Inn, recommended the deli across the street for a great sandwich! Boy was that the best recommendation we've gotten in years! The Killington Deli is a one stop shop for gas, groceries, beer and wine, and some of the best homemade sandwiches you'll ever have. We loved this place so much that we stopped by before we left to pick up four sandwiches for the road and lunch the following day! The "Gobbler" is simply a work of art. Fresh turkey salad, cranberry, stuffing on some of the best bread I've ever had! Bottom line, I'd drive the 3+ hours back up there just for this sandwich! Very affordable too! Love it!

I work at pico and the deli is a very convenient lunch spot. And I sh*t you not, you can go there every day and never get the same sandwich. The menu is just full of them, named after local establishments. The chili is amazing too. If you need booze with your lunch, they have that too. Lastly, the pricing isn't as bad as the mountain is. The food still isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Fresh and amazing sandwiches, good Green Mountain coffee, a great assortment of chips, beer and if you're not gearing up for a long road trip back home from skiing in Killington they have some wonderful local ice cream in the freezer. It's a traditional stop before making the hours-long journey home and one that is always greatly anticipated.

When you reach the end of the Killington Access Road, make a left onto Route 4 towards Rutland. About a quarter mile down the road, along the South Side (left-hand side) is a gas station, deli and liquor store. This is your one-stop shop for snacks, local (Magic Hat, Long Trail, Wolaver's, etc.) and international beer, a liquor outlet, freshly made sandwiches, soups, Green Mountain coffee, and gas. If you've got an appetite, go to the deli and check out the sandwiches. All are named after local bars and restaurants around the Killington Resort area such as the Wobbly Barn, Charity's Saloon, Casey's Caboose, Mogul's Sports Pub, Pickle Barrel and so on. I ordered #27 Charity's Saloon ($7.25 + tax = $7.98) which is Smoked Maple Honey Pepper Turkey with cukes (cucumbers), onions, honey mustard, and Pepper Jack cheese on a ciabatta. What surmounted the ciabatta bun was a fat wallop of smoked turkey with what appeared to be a sweet cole slaw of lettuce, onions, and cucumbers. Complimenting that was mild Pepper Jack cheese and a creamy honey mustard, all married together to make one sweet but scrumptious sandwich. A few of my friend's had ordered the Wobbly Barn ($9.99), consisting of thin sliced grilled steak, provolone, onion, bacon, tomato and horseradish sauce. This sub seemed to be the biggest hit, so much so that I'll have to return and try it for myself. If Rutland's too far of a drive, be sure to make this your one-stop shop, especially for all things junk food and alcohol. Although prices are not the cheapest as opposed to some supermarket or corporate pharmacy chain, you should be able to get what you need at a fairly decent price. NOTE: There is a $5 minimum for credit card, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.

When I was growing up I used to work on Killington mountain and if you are in this area often you know that once you turn onto the access road the gas prices go through the roof! For awhile all I ever used this location for was gas and snacks, never taking advantage of the deli. I truly feel in love with this location when I was through hiking the Appalachian Trail, we got off the trail up by the Inn At The Long Trail at the top of the hill and made the trip down to the Killington Deli to pick up a sandwich. They make great sandwiches here for a very reasonable price! When ever I come through killington and its around lunch time I make a stop in hear and grab one of the great sandwiches and fill up the gas tank.

I cannot believe I am writing a review of a gas station deli. But damned if that chicken parm sandwich wasn't the best I've ever had. The bread was perfect - crunchy but not hard, substantive but not so thick as to take away from the chicken parm deliciousness. And the chicken was DELICIOUS. And the cheeeeseeeeee. Seriously, the Domenick's sandwich. Get it. Love it.

Located right next to the gas station- definitely stop here on your departure from Killington to fill up on petrol and poogie bait. The #27 is superb. We also grabbed a few bags of local chips, brew, bread, and cheese to savor the flavors of Vermont. If there was some seating area I probably would be inclined to bump the rating up to 5 stars.

Old guy at counter couldn't be more rude. Definitely felt like our tourist money was not appreciated. We've been coming here for years (husbands people are Vermonters since the 1800s) but this was the last time. Just as good sandwiches on the mountain.

The western omelet breakfast burrito and the foundry gobbler are must haves. Great service by the locally owned family and staff.
