If you haven't visited this location you're missing an opportunity. Has become my go to pizza place; never disappoints.

did someone say pizza? One of my favorite foods in the world. Growing up in NY i loved that big ol slice of pizza with the slight crispy crust. Now moving fwd 20 yrs later, behold, Pyros! I love the individual doughs that they roll out and its like if you were at Subways where you request for what you want to top off your pizza. I'm a simple pizza eater: Marinara sauce, Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mushroom topped off with basil. All the toppings that you want still for the set price around $8. Come in on Tuesdays and check in to receive a free 24oz drink. Love that they also have adapted the use of the Coca-Cola Freestyle. The location is very spacious and a hot spot for the lunch crowd. They serve beer and some coffee assortments as well. TVs are provided for your viewing pleasure with plenty of booths and high tops to dine in at.

The concept is really cool, they had a nice variety of toppings, and the price is great. The taste of the actual crust and toppings didn't blow me away. Good location (in a plaza with plenty of parking).

I had to try this place to see what the hype was all about! Man am I glad I did ... The pizza was great you chose up to how many toppings you want at one price. Customer service was great . what a great experience I had .will be returning love this place !

Pyro's is quickly becoming one of my favorite pizza spots. You get as many toppings as you like for one low price. The 11" is perfect for one person but if you need a little extra the have great salads and dough bites which I think are similar to bread sticks. The location on Ridgeway even has a party room. They also have a small wine a beer collection. Pizza and a glass of wine for $15 not a bad deal!

This review is way overdue. I've never been to a Pyro's and I thought this place was really cool. I liked that they have a subway style make your own pizza system. I picked the sauce, cheese and toppings that I wanted and the pizza tasted delicious.

I loved this place!!! It is different, delicious and delectable. We went on Father's Day and my family loved the fact that they could have their own little pizza with any number of sauce, cheese, meats and veggies combo. They serve a thin crust with fresh toppings that you'll really enjoy. You really need to check this place out. I can (almost ) guarantee you'll love this place. It is a bit pricey, but good food is worth it.

Most of the girls had their long hair down, no one was wearing a hair net or ponytail (not sure the health code rules...) the pizza was ok, nothing special. I like thin crust and spicy sauce, but putting the cheese then the toppings rubs me the wrong way. Hehe. I understand we aren't in Naples, so for the price point and time, it's ok. I might come here again when I stay at the hotel next door.

Pyro's offers their customers to customize their pizza with the freshest ingredients available. I recently went with a large group and we were all pleased with the available toppings and friendly service. The staff is very patient with their first time customers and makes them feel confident as they navigate the menu. The availability of the little desserts just adds to the fun. One tip though is too not demand too many toppings. Otherwise you'll find yourself waiting an extra long time for your pizza to bake all the way.

A great place for family night! I love the customer service. My husband, my son and I can get exactly what we want. This location has a great atmosphere and flow. The price is very affordable and last but not least - the pizza is fabulous!!

I love the concept of Pyro's build your own pizza and salads. The lines at this location tend to be very long, but actual wait time isn't that bad. The service I received here was great! There is a small pizza and salad option that is a great value. I recommend the BBQ chicken pizza and there is a similar salad that I enjoyed. Don't forget to check in on yelp and get a free drink!

I LOVE PYROS. I am so glad they came to memphis! This location is the first one in Memphis, and is slightly larger in size than the one on Union. (to date 11/2014, the germantown one isnt open yet). I like the spaciousness of the area, and how they have tons of TVs around for us to watch the game. My review will be similar to my other review of Union's, so if you already know about pyros then disregard below. Pyro's is basically like the subway of pizzas. but thin crust yummylicious pizza. You put however many toppings you want on the pizza, and they will still charge the same amount. Same with the salads! They also have some premade types that you can order (like pesto pizza, southwestern bbq pizza, etc) if you like those. The great thing about this place is the friendliness of literally every single staff member I've encountered, the speediness of the pizza delivery, and the DELICIOUSNESS of the pizza!!! also, super awesome thin crust. I love that its CUSTOMIZABLE to your liking, so you dont have to like pick toppings off that you dont like when you order to share like other pizza establishments. Their SWEET BITES are GOOD, order them. Not too much icing, yet just enough to get you through the dish. the great part is you can tell them when you bring it out, so you dont have to sit there with it getting cold while you finish off your pizza. They have alcohol here too, so for those that like to kick back and relax this is a great place as well. highly recommended!!! Any pyro's location is great, they all taste equally delicious. So go!!!

I have a pyromaniac card I love Pyros!! Seriously love the pizza, the flavor the service! I get spinach, Alfredo, mozzarella and either chicken or bacon, soooo yummy! My husband always gets the southwestern and it is so good!!! The line can be long sometimes but it moves quickly and it's so worth it!! We always wait because it is seriously the best!!!! Mmmmm....

I really like this place. The concept is basically like subway but for pizzas and salads. It's a bit more expensive than fast food but worth the money.

So, I loved my pizza when I finally got it...but after waiting 45min and going through 3 attempts, my experience was already tainted. It went like this: Somehow, my original pizza "got messed up" (not sure if it was dropped or burnt or what...no explanation was given). The attempt to remake it without telling me was unsuccessful with missing and added ingredients. Attempt number 3 was burnt. So I finally got a successful product, took it back to work since my lunch break was well over, and loved the pizza but hated the process. I will say the manager tried to rectify the situation by refunding my money and allowed me to snack on the burnt pizza until the new one was made...but her involvement was much to slow and not very enthusiastic or apologetic. So, maybe next time.

This place is pretty unique being that you can make your own pizza and choice your own sauce. But I think that they need more organization in how pizzas are delivered to the guests. Food is 4/5...the service is about a 2/5. It's a place for decent lunch and if you're in need of beer and cocktails then it's your place.

I liked... I liked a lot! Good crispy, thin pizza and craft beer ...that's tough to beat. This is a build it yourself pizza joint with many fresh ingredients. I had the snack size pizza, which is four nice slices, with a pesto sauce, fresh mozzarella, roasted jalapeño, roasted mushrooms, sundries tomatoes, canadian bacon, and steak. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. Also they open for breakfast and do breakfast pizzas or iron skillet omelets, for you carb watchers. Give this place a try, you will like it!

I was meeting my bestie and decided to stay and have pizza. The line was super long, but with family catching up, time passed. The food was good. I like that you can get as many toppings as you like. I got the "check-in" special. There was confusion with the orders, but Blake(mgr on duty)fixed things. Keep in mind that a lot of young people run the place, so be patient.

Wow. Love this place! Like other reviews, I'll compare it to Subway- but more delicious and fresh. The ingredients were very fresh, preparation was easy, pizza cook time was so fast! Local beers offered when I was there: 2 Memphis Mades, 1 HCB, 2 Wiseacres. YUM. Totally recommend this place. Service was awesome - we will definitely be coming back!

I just got hired at the location in Cordova, so I figured I should try it at the Ridgeway location first! Lol. After going through the orientation, you notice all the little things. Pyros Pizza is a 901 original. Currently there are three locations in Memphis and they are expanding to two more before the end of next year. There are two owners of Pyros and I got to go through orientation with one of them, Chad Foreman. And let me tell you, these guys have thought through literally every single detail. Even the restrooms are unique with foot pedals on the bottom of the doors, so you don't have to use the handle after washing your hands! And the sign above it is hilarious but I won't spoil it :) Pyros has a setup kinda like subway. You first decide if you want an 11' personal pizza or a snack size, and you get to choose if you want a side salad or a full salad. There is a menu where you can choose your pizza already designed, but what fun is that?? Unlimited toppings for a flat rate so of course I stacked up haha. So you choose your sauce, protein, and vegetables. Then you get to watch the fire attendant put your pizza into the oven- It's cooked and prepared right in front of you! So you pay and the cashier will give you cups for the hydration station. After getting your drinks, you can sit anywhere and someone will bring you your very own personalized pizza. Since it is thin crust, your pizza is cooked quickly. When I went, I forgot my phone in the car so I went out to get it and by the time I got back to my table, the pizza was already there! There is also a bar and a coffee bar but I have yet to try it. After my first training day a couple days ago, I saw just how much work the crew has to do to make the restaurant run so smoothly! I'm excited to be working for Pyros after my experience with them so far and it's a little bit dangerous because I love the pizza! Haha

Great concept if you want to have a little more of an interactive experience while having your pizza created. We got here at 7:30 on a Friday night, and the place was packed! The line was long, but not too bad. I like that you can get your drinks at the bar and stand in line if you have to. First stop is to select the size of your pizza. The snack size comes with 4 slices I believe which should be plenty for one person. But if you're really hungry you could put away an 11 inch pretty easily, since the crust is thin. Then you go down the line to select the sauce--keep in mind you can mix sauces if you like. Then comes the cheese and meat and veggies. The "pit crew" members are friendly and will give you suggestions if you're feeling lost. The emphasis is definitely on the toppings, and since it's a "make it your way" kind of place, you only have yourself to blame if it tastes bad, right? When you're done selecting all the ingredients, you watch your pizza go in the oven, and you check out and get your drinks at the soda machine or bar and find a table. I tried the Seagram Lime Ginger ale (which was surprisingly good). My friends had some of the local beer on draft. The pizza will be delivered to your table hot from the oven. I created my own take of pesto chicken pizza, but I should have had them finish it with olive oil since it was a little dry.

This is a new concept restaurant opened by two pharmaceutical executives turned pizza connoisseurs according to the Memphis Business Journal. bizjournals.com/memphis/… Their new concept has caught on with me! I walked in today, two days after opening to the public, excited to try this place. I was pretty familiar with the idea. Think of Moe's or Chipotle. You walk through a cafeteria style line picking out your toppings and various delectable treats. For my pizza, I chose the 11" standard pie. They offer standard marinara or spicy marinara sauce. I opted for the SPICY! Next, you choose your meats. I chose pepperoni, chicken, Canadian bacon and (more "American") bacon. I shuffled along to the veggies. Blech, but I digressed and chose mushrooms and was pretty stoked they offered fresh mozzarella as well. I always enjoy places where I can play chef. You can't blame a place for having poor food when you are the creator! (I'm looking at you, Genghis Grill.) Finally you pay. My total for my pizza and tea came to around $10.50. Not bad. Good price point and I was more than full at the end of my meal. It took around 10 minutes for my pizza to get to me at lunch time. Much faster than other places to make pizza fresh. I really enjoyed Pyros and wish them all the success in the world. According to the article I read, they plan to open 30 or more locations in the Southeast! That's great. Reaching high! If there opening two days are any indication, that feat will be easy to reach. Way to go, Pyros!!

A co-worker took me here for lunch and I have to say that the entire concept is really cool. Make your own salad and pizza ... so simple! The staff kept the long line moving, and were attentive to our requests. We got it to go, so we watched the firing process. The guy definitely has a process, and it was interesting to see him shift the pizzas, and testing the crusts' firmness. I look forward to taking my family, as well as having an after work outing on their covered patio out front where we can enjoy the local beers on tap.

I love pizza!! Pyro's is a one of a kind pizza place that I absolutely loved. The best thing I liked is there are bunch of options for toppings and you can add as much toppings as you want. I sure am gonna try playing around with the toppings many more times!

  • Beth W.

It's basically like subway for pizza. It's very affordable and very tasty! All the toppings are fresh and of good quality and there are many different options you can go with as well as several different sauces you can get as your base. I've never had the salad but I hear they are really good too. Even though it's a personal pizza, it's still plenty big enough to leave you stuffed! The crust is thin and crispy which you don't find many places anymore. Definitely a favorite!

Ok, I would like to start out by staying that this review is NOT for the pizza. I'm a "make-your-own" whatever kind of girl, so when I found out that there was a place near the office that had this option, so was super excited. I just can't understand why Memphis is lacking in make-your-own salad places, but oh well. I went to PYRO's with a group for my birthday lunch during the week. I love the look of this place with the modern industrial feel. When I walked in, it didn't take too long to reach the counter, so the line was slightly deceiving. The people behind the counter were really friendly, and I love that you can just pick all of your toppings (which are basically all the pizza toppings, but in a salad...awesome!!!). I put a whole mess of ingredients in mine and it was delicious. Salad was also enough for about 1-1/2 meals, so go there hungry. The only issue I found was that by the time you get to the end, you're not really sure where to pick up your salad. The people behind the counter don't really tell you. Your food just magically shows up on the counter to the left of the register, so the first time I went there, I was a little confused. Otherwise, food was good, drink selection was awesome (at some point, I'll have to go back during happy hour for a beer) and employees were friendly. Maybe next time, I'll throw my healthy eating habits out the window and try their pizza.

I was in town to visit family, when I ran up on this place. When you walk in its a cool place to be. I walked up to the counter and noticed you can have either small or large pizza. I chose the small and a salad. Picked out my ingredients and pay for my order. Placed my number in my table and when my order came I was amazed. The food was yummy. I love the brick oven, I guess the name. I love the thin crust as well. It was fresh and yummy! In the middle of the room is the bar, which was really neat. I loved the food and layout. Cool place! Great staff as well.

We stopped in for a late Lunch/Early Dinner on a Saturday around 4. We were almost the only ones there so we were in no rush to get to know the menu which was nice being such a new place and being our first time there. My Wife and I decided to order our own pizza and share and then whatever was left take home for leftovers. We made our way through the line picking out all the toppings we loved and it went smooth and service was great. There are all the staples you could ask for and more. I ordered the Spicy Marinara and it was very spicy. I enjoyed it but I will go for the regular Marinara next time. I'm not big on super spicy on my pizza, I'll leave that for my Mexican food habit. I liked the cheese choices they have also. The fresh Mozzarella is very good and I was glad to see it as an option. All of the toppings I tried were good quality and fresh. in fact they were chopping more peppers and roasting them while we were there. Good to see they weren't just poured out of a bag like some of the build your own places I've been to. The drink selection was nice as well. Several teas to choose from and they have the new Coke fountain where you can make any soft drink combination you can think of. It was also nice to see Wise Acre beer on tap and one of the Managers told me they were adding a few other local brews as soon as the other kegs are tapped out. All in all we both really enjoyed our meal and I'm looking forward to going back and trying something different. Oh and there were no left overs to take home. It was just too good not to consume while we were there.

I checked this place out last night, and I am glad I did. As you walk in, the line seems confusing. Here is the thing... This place is setup like a Chipotle. Once you have that, it is very quick. Pick your entree, pick your toppings, fire it up. Sadly, I came too late. They had already run out of dough for the bites. I will try them next time. I made a meat-lover's style pizza. The toppings tasted fresh and good. I appreciated the addition of the basil after cooking. The GM was present and willing to discuss the restaurant. While I did not use it, the super-Coke machine was cool. This location supports Memphis and Tennessee breweries. They have great prices on these beers: $3.70 for a pint. It is hard to beat that price. I plan on returning to this restaurant.

This five star rating is not because it is the best pizza I've ever had (but it is very good), but because it is a great concept executed well that delivered good food quickly at an affordable price. Essentially, PYRO is Chipotle for pizza. Quick and cheap, readily customizable with many topping options, and good service. This is especially great since I was with my picky-eater wife and pickier-eater kids. I got toppings! My only disappointment with PYRO is that it is only in the Memphis, TN area. Come to Houston PYRO, come to Houston...

We found this place on Yelp and while surprised at the concept, we enjoyed. ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant takes the Subway/Chipotle concept and applies it to pizza. The restaurant has a cool, hipster feel to it. Customers go through a line where you tell the staff what you want on your thin crust pizza. The staff then fire the pizza and deliver it to your table. SERVICE: The staff deliver the pizza to your table. Otherwise the restaurant is self-service. The pizzas came out quite fast. FOOD: I started off rather skeptical since I was expecting a full service restaurant. The pizza was really delicious though. Lots or great choices of toppings all at the same price. SUMMARY: I'd definitely go back.

This place rocks. Simple yet effective complex: pick your individual size of pie, sauces, cheeses & toppings...or a salad if you prefer. Nice selection of drinks...beers, soft drinks, teas...but about the pizza...the spicy marinara sauce has a kick! The crust was thin and crispy...held up the fresh toppings well...I'll definitely come back! I'll ask again: how many pizza places can fit in one strip mall? The same for Chinese places...

Great concept, good food, solid service. Refreshing to see retail establishment focused on quality and customer service! Long line and busy lunch almost made me turn around but it went faster that expected and was well worth the visit. Good thin crust pizza!

Going to lunch here today was not on purpose. After church this morning my mom and I were on out way to P.F.Changs. I had not been to that place in ages and i was looking forward to eating some yummy rice. However, after we parked my mom said look a new pizza place....so we changed our minds at the last minute and went to Pyro's. We walk in not knowing what to expect. The menu looked great and by the looks of the line almost outside the door, I could tell the food must be good. We waited in that line for 35 minutes. It was the longest 35 minutes EVER considering how hungry I was and we almost left because of how long the line was. In the end we were very glad we stuck it out. We finally got to order. I discovered it is one of those make it yourself places like Booyah's. The people were very nice and helpful to us newbies. I love the fact that we pizza's are 8.50 and you can add as many toppings are you wish. Other places it is an extra .75 or something like that to add additional toppings. I could load up my pizza and it all costs the same. Loved it. The pizza did not take long at all, unlike the wait in line to order the pizza! haha. Now, I am not a huge fan of the thin crust pizza. I like the original crust that is doughy BUT this pizza was amazingly good! It was cooked to perfection. The size is perfect for one person so if you go with someone else I would definitely get your own pizza. My mom and I were going to split one but very glad at the last minute decided to get our own. I definitely look forward to going back to this place when i am in a pizza mood!

The boyfriend and I stopped in here for lunch on Saturday, and it was kinda eh. At 1:30pm, the line wasn't long, but it moved very slowly -- while the employees were friendly, I would've appreciated less chit chat and more speed. I stuck with something simple, just the regular marinara, mozzarella, pepperoni, and sun-dried tomatoes. There's a whole lot of stuff to choose from, much of which I would never imagine putting on a pizza! The boyfriend, on the other hand, ordered the Southwest salad, and watching it get put together was just painful. They kept asking what he wanted on it, despite the fact that it's a "fixed" salad on the menu, and after making it alongside my pizza, instead of handing it over (since it was done...right?), it was kept behind the counter. We paid, got drinks, and my pizza was brought out..but not the boyfriend's salad. When I asked, the guy said that someone was just finishing dressing it. Uh, what's it been doing while my pizza was baking? Just hanging out? My pizza was ok; I've had better, and I've had worse. The crust was thin (pressed and I think slightly pre-baked at the front of the line) and cooked through, but had very little color on it. I think their much-vaunted 4 minute bake time is just long enough to melt the cheese -- by the time I reached the last piece, it was cold, so it couldn't have been that hot to begin with. The boyfriend's salad was a disappointment -- basically a big bowl of lettuce with a few things tossed on top, and very little meat for what's supposedly an entree salad. He liked the dressing, but he said he was still hungry after finishing it. And the bread that was served with it was cold, which I just don't get -- don't they have a nice big oven back there? Overall, it's not that anything was bad, it just wasn't that great either. For twenty bucks, we can get a better lunch elsewhere. And if I were running this place, I'd work the kinks out of this location before starting another one in Midtown!

Pyro's is trying to be a lot of different things at once and, for the most part, it succeeds. But perhaps they should stick to working on the pizza first and foremost. The first thing I noticed was the wait--it gets really, really crowded around dinnertime and the line got even longer after I joined it to the point where it was almost out the door. This normally is a good sign of how popular a place is, but the line was moving pretty slowly and when I got up to start ordering I realized why: the staff is very, very green and half the people there were still being trained "on the job" it seemed. They were very pleasant for the most part and made friendly chit-chat, but I would've preferred a bit more efficiency since on this assembly line any small delay by one person compounded the problem. Once the ordering process (which took about 20-25 minutes, all told) was complete, it was time to find a seat in some of the rather posh-looking seating areas and to grab my drink at the beer. The beers were very reasonably priced at $3.75 each, although actually ordering them was somewhat strange since the bar (which is also a coffee/latte bar??) is separate from the main payment area. I was very amused when the bartender warned me how "bitter" the Wiseacre IPA was--I've been hopped out by so many West Coast IPAs that this one practically tasted sweet. It was pretty good too, first time I had it, and I hope Pyro's continues to expand their selection of locals. Pizza came out in good time and it was pretty delicious. The order-your-own pizza trend is catching on everywhere I've been (shout out to Your Pie in Athens, GA for doing it well and cheaply 5 years ago) and Pyro's is trying to be a bit more higher-end than some of the other markets. It mostly succeeds and my pesto pizza was delicious, with generous portions of sun dried tomatoes. I might've preferred a bit smaller pizza though for a bit smaller price since they're too hefty to really be for one person but not enough to split with two. I enjoyed my food and drink, despite the wait. It's still a weird kind of spot, but I like that they're trying to be different and offer a lot of different options. Maybe I'll come back to try their espresso bar and beer sometime and avoid the pizza line.

I love the concept behind this restaurant! It's like Chipotle/Qdoba meets pizza! Great service, great food! My visit was on a busy Sunday afternoon with a long line, but even so I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the line moved and how quickly we were served our pizzas! There is also a location on Union Avenue in the Midtown area of Memphis that is just as great!

This place is kind of like Subway for pizza. The thin crust makes the pizza very light... well as light as pizza can be. Service was a little bit lacking and confusing for people who have never been there. You walk up to the counter and they just kind of stare at you, assuming that you know what to do. The lady at the register forgot to give us our plastic cups for drinks.

I love this place!!! great service great people great pizza I've told all of my friends and all of my other social media friends about Pyros i love the fact that by the time you sit down after you create your pizza and grab a drink your food is being brought to your table.( That's fast!) All in all this is a Gem you'll love it and I will be back several times..

  • K N.

The pizza is good but it's soooooo small and thin. You need a whole one (9$) to yourself and even that's still so unfulfilling. Go for your lunch break not dinner and drink a couple of sodas first to feel satisfied.

  • Jimmy H.

This is a really cool concept. Its like a high end Subway for pizza. You choose your sauce out of 3 or so, then you choose your cheese with many choices. You carefully go to the meats and wow what a selection, then we got veggies, lots of veggies. After that you have extra toppings such as gorgonzola. No matter how many toppings you get it is all the same price. I also loved the different hot sauces including the ghost pepper sauce. There is something for everyone here.

We love going to Pyros for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Everytime I've needed the back room for a group, they have been amazing! In fact, I was the first one ever to use the backroom at this location, even before it was ready. The staff is always friendly and helpful, even though some of us are very demanding. Pyros is a great place for friends or family to gather. Thank you Pyros for being so amazing!

I think this place is great. Around $9 for your own pizza, AND additional toppings are available at no extra cost! This is the first time I've encountered that. I do love the signature pizzas already planned out for ya, but I like to add one or two things to make each trip different. The crust is thin and crispy across the whole pizza (like a real pizza should be, sorry Chicago). They also have a snack size pizza available for around $5. So if you gotta head straight to the office, you can go this route and not need a box. The staff has been very friendly whenever I have gone in and I have never waited long for my food (I've been during calm and busy times). They also have a bar in the middle of the restaurant with local draft beers (from Memphis and Nashville) which I feel is a must for any pizza place in town. Ghost River's Copperhead Red and Wiseacre's Ananda? Yes please! Those are some great brews to enjoy with a pizza.

We split a pizza - two of the specialty varieties. It was fine. More like flatbread really. Craft beers were good.

I love Pyro's. They can get really crazy at lunch but they are quick and their ingredients are delicious while still being affordable. They make the dough fresh and you can go down the line to build your own pizza with whatever ingredients you'd like, all for the same price (Except the gluten free cheese). I've never had a problem and have been there probably 10+ times.

Great pizza! Toppings are fresh and delicious. Awesome beer selection. Sat on the patio and had a great time. Excellent service also.

Went on Friday night in April. The fire fresh pizza: It takes 15 mins to wait through the line, but pizza is out 5-7 mins later. It's an assembly bar for pizza with lots of selections, all complimentary with the order. My order was a pepperoni, bacon and black olives with marinara and mozzarella. Enjoyed it. Had the Coke freestyle too. It was tough to find a seat inside. Fortunately there's outdoor seating, and it was a pleasant night.

The manager followed up with me about my previous review below. The fact that he took ownership of the situation really says a lot about the integrity of his business. 5 stars! It's just... Ok. I could give a worse review based on MY experience, however, everyone else that I was with had a better one. I walked in to get a table for 6 people and there wasn't many options.. Unless you push tables together yourself. I saw a dirty booth in the corner that could work so I walked around to ask if I could get it cleaned off. The guy was very nice and cleaned it right away. Not long after, the rest of my party was there. It's basically the same thing that Subway has done for years... The assembly line technique. I was a little surprised that they actually have a machine to flatten pizza dough.. Call me old school, but it's not that hard to do by hand. Flattening gives everyone's pizza a different shape... Now it's just my OCD talking. So it's my turn and I pick pizza (opposed to salad) with Alfredo sauce. Next up, toppings.. I get roasted chicken, roasted peppers, olives, mozzarella, and spinach. (The girl doing this part was coughing the whole time so that grossed me out... Such is winter I suppose.) So everything but spinach goes on, they save that for when the pizza comes out. Then we pay, sit and wait. Here's the part that irked me... They bring my pizza out with balsamic all over the top and the guy says, "I know we made it wrong, I can do it over." Well why didn't they in the first place? I didn't ask for that so does he think I'm just going to eat it... I guess so. He sits it down without waiting for my answer and runs off leaving me to take it up to the counter to request a redo. Well, I wait for a minute for someone to come over and write down my order and I watch him write the list of ingredients on a piece of paper. 10-15 minutes later (after everyone is finished) I get my pizza SANS spinach! Well I wasn't about to take it up there again (since they don't ask before they run off if it looks right.) I eat the first slice and it's... Meh. The toppings are way too small and the sauce was very bland. Not impressed. But I spent $10 on this and I'm starving so I pick up the next piece and grooossss! More than half of my pizza was black on the bottom. So I was done. I didn't complain or take it back. I didn't expect my friends to wait for this again.

40 year old single white male business traveler I called ahead to ask if they served slices because I was in a hurry and never heard of the place. The manager on duty explained the concept of their pizza and asked me to stop in and try it. Unfortunately, he didn't mention how long the line was and that there were a million screaming kids. Despite the line and the screaming kids, I really liked it. In addition to building your own wood fired pizza, there are a few craft beers on tap. The clientele was very mixed. A few hot Mom's with their screaming kids, a few younger people too. Not a place I would "hang out," but I will definitely stop in again. If you dine in, you need to sit at a table (I prefer a bar when eating alone). However, it was much like eating at fast place and was not the least bit uncomfortable. On a side note- it is not one of those places you need to know how to order or you look like a dope. The process is very simple and the employees walk you through it if you have any questions.

Limited seating. But amazing pizza! It's like subway's concept but in pizza form. It's so delicious and addictive! The spicy marinara adds a nice kick to it. Fresh ingredients. Awesome atmosphere and patio seating. Beer and wine available along with foundation drink machine and flavored teas. Just wish they had more seating though. It's too crazy during busy hours. Awesome place. Must try! You won't regret it!

I enjoy Pyro's because you can't beat their price point and they have a fun atmosphere. They have good craft beer options that are roughly $3 with tax. You can get a large pizza made from scratch for under $10 with whatever toppings and however much of them you want. You order at the counter, so you don't even need tip money. Also have good coffee & frappucino options. The atmosphere is upscale, but casual. I especially like their large, unusual patio. Instead of just tables outside, they have huge glass windows they open up. I did go when they JUST opened, so there was a wait for my food and a slow moving prep line. However, that will probably change with more training and experience, so no complaints.

  • Heather M.

I had such a great experience at Pyro's! It is not often I am able to get a gluten free crust with vegan cheese pizza. The staff was kind and helpful, and I can't wait to go back!

  • Andrea L.

Yes five stars. I'm grading on potential and my experience. The inside of the restaurant was really nice. There's a convertible patio and the bathrooms were really clean. The staff was friendly but you could tell the place was new. That being said, the pizza I made was delicious. The toppings were plentiful and i didn't feel shortchanged. You can choose as many or as few as you want. There are five different sauce options and you can choose to add fresh items to your pizza when it comes from the oven. Once everyone gets a little more comfortable there, the service should get better. I'm sure the owners have a winner. I'll be back.

I really enjoy the pizza here. I usually get the breakfast pizza, but just about any pizza you buy is great. The customer service is fairly friendly. They also have a variety of refillable drinks and hot sauces (for your pizza.) If I lived closer, I would come here more often.

Wide variety of topping choices, fresh and tasty. The place is clean and the service is fast and friendly.

  • Jessi M.

This place was pretty good! It's a build your own pizza place, so the customization was cool. They had plenty of toppings to choose from, too. The only thing that really bothered me was how they dealt with alcoholic beverages. You paid for them at one register, and then had to take a drink ticket to another register where you got your drink. I personally think that's an unnecessary extra step. The inconvenience (though, admittedly, small) kept me from getting more than one beer.

  • B B.

Neat concept, friendly staff, craft beer, and a good casual atmosphere. For this, I give Pyro's 3 stars. The pizza just isn't as good compared to the neighborhood competition. The crust is machine pressed, not tossed. The sauce is skimpy. I like the assortment of toppings, but I feel the toppings could have been of better quality and preparation at the same price. For this, I give Pyro's 3 stars. I will be back, but next time it will be to try the salads.

Five Stars all the way! I love the concept here as well as the yummy pizzas! They offer fresh ingredients including fresh mozzarella. There are wonderful coffee options as well. The service was phenomenal! I would never know Pyro's is new, their food tastes as if it has been around forever! My family and I will definitely be back for more!

Love, love, love this place. Its Chipotle meets Genghis grill and as delicious as both. A creative concept on something everyone has had hundreds of times. Couple that with unique topping options and this place makes pizza couture and undeniably exquisite. How do you take pizza to the next level...like this. Go, now, you will thank me.

Enjoyed Pyros! Love the concept of build your own Pizza or Salad. I'm picky, so instead of saying "leave off this, leave off that", I get it exactly how I want it!!! The thin crust was very good, the price was great... the portion was plenty with a few slices left over... 3 pizzas and 2 beers for 3 of us @ $35.+ Not bad for dinner! Only "complaint" would be if you want a side salad, it seemed as if it was over $5.00, that makes it a bit pricey but I could have read it wrong? We all enjoyed!!!

  • Vickie W.

Stopped on the Friday just after they opened. Probably would have given it 5 stars but everyone is still trying to figure out the menu. Order the Southestern salad, pre-determined ingrediant) and everyone keep asking me what topping i wanted. Sure it will get better. Sald was very large and filling. Glad to see they have beer as well. Dinner partner order pizza and got way to many topping for my taste, but he stated he really like the crust. We will be going back. Pretty cool on the inside as well.

Crazy good! And fast. I crafted a spicy marinara with pulled pork, cheddar, jalapeños, and a little BBQ sauce. Fiery elation followed. Also tried the southwest pizza - sooo tasty. Salads look amazing...next time. I need a sixth star. Going to be a regular at Pyro's. Love everything about it.

did someone say pizza?

Mmmmm....

  • Shameka O.

I really like this place. The concept is basically like subway but for pizzas and salads. It's a bit more expensive than fast food but worth the money.

  • Krystal S.

  • Kristina M.

  • William P.

This place is pretty unique being that you can make your own pizza and choice your own sauce. But I think that they need more organization in how pizzas are delivered to the guests. Food is 4/5...the service is about a 2/5. It's a place for decent lunch and if you're in need of beer and cocktails then it's your place.

Haha

I love pizza!! Pyro's is a one of a kind pizza place that I absolutely loved. The best thing I liked is there are bunch of options for toppings and you can add as much toppings as you want. I sure am gonna try playing around with the toppings many more times!

Amazing food and experience. Tried breakfast and dinner. Blown away by both. Perfect thin crust.

Great concept, good food, solid service. Refreshing to see retail establishment focused on quality and customer service! Long line and busy lunch almost made me turn around but it went faster that expected and was well worth the visit. Good thin crust pizza!

The line literally hits the door every time I go. Just not worth the wait in my opinion and not having enough tables either. Pizza is okay

The pizza is good but it's soooooo small and thin. You need a whole one (9$) to yourself and even that's still so unfulfilling. Go for your lunch break not dinner and drink a couple of sodas first to feel satisfied.

  • Katie B.

Spicy Marinara FTW! Super fast flat-price build your own pizza, & my kids love the futuristic Coke machine. Also try a BBQ pizza with banana peppers...yum!
