I ate here today for the first time since about a year. I gave to say, this place has really gone down hill. Prices have increased, and quality has decreased. I walk in, and the lady with the tattooed eyebrows is playing on her phone at the front counter. I stood right in front of her for about 3 minutes before she finally looked up from her phone and asked what I wanted. I ordered, paid and she straight back to the phone without ever a thank you or handing me my cup. I had to say excuse me, can I have my cup. she never looked up, just kept doing what she was doing with her phone, then finally reached over and tossed a cup on the counter. If I hadn't of just paid by debit card, I would have walked put. I ordered the buffet. The chicken tasted like it had been rewarmed a few times. I couldn't eat it. I was also informed there was no sweet and sour sauce for the set and sour chicken. All the while the lady is screaming at the guys in the back. I ate about a quarter of my plate, and threw it away. Very low quality tasting rubbery checken, and the beef tasted unidentiable. I will not go back.

They're good...just good! I'd give them a 3.5 but not a 4. But then again at the price, I'm not exactly expecting top quality but it's definitely worth the money. Come for the lunch "Buffet"...I put it in quotes because there is usually only about 6-8 options with fried rice being one and egg rolls and wantons being 2 of them. The plus side (at least for me and other non-pork eaters) is that almost all their food is either chicken on beef. It is divey but hey, this divey joint probably serves up food that's better than other "nice" spots (again 3.5 not 4 stars). I'll go there no more than once a month.

So I decided to try this place 'cos I've seen it near Walgreens forever now. I was really excited to finally try a meal here. That's where my excitement ended. The crab rangoon (which usually has CRAB and other stuff in it) only had cream cheese. WTF The egg drop soup is alright, but the crackers they give you are very stale. Very disappointed and would never return. I suppose if I was going to comment on anything that is a plus is that they are friendly, fast, and the fried rice is decent.

This is the first chinese food place I tried in Memphis and when I first came I didn't even eat the chinese food. They used to have cheese steaks that were super cheesy and super steaky and delicious. Those are gone now, and when I discovered that I decided to not waste a trip and give their orange chicken a chance. I'm glad I did. I'm giving this place 5 stars for a combination of service, food, price, and open hours. The food is good, and they have a lunch buffet. They are open late. The woman at the register always seems to recognize me or at least make me feel like she's cool with me coming in and buying food. Yes, it is a business transaction, but it is a friendly transaction. I've gone to other chinese food places and decided that this food tastes better than the rest I've tried in Memphis. Now... let's not fool ourselves, the best Chinese food in Memphis is like kissing your sister. You know, the food here is not that bad, uhhhh... kissing your cousin? Wait, this is the south... let's just say having the best Chinese food in Memphis isn't a huge feat. But this place hits the spot and on the cheap. I support this place.

Really good inexpensive take out joint with large portions.

The portions are good size and comes with a egg roll. I tried the spicy sichuan beef and it was just average. Last time I ate the General Tsou chicken and I prefer that. Have been to this place a few times while waiting for my laundry at the laundromat.

They're pretty good. They have a lunch buffet. Make sure you get there during peak hours though or it will be soggy. Even then it's still a risk. Though if you order off the menu it's pretty great! I'm a frequent flyer here.

This is a great, inexpensive take out place for American Chinese food. If you have the budget, want to sit down with ambience and are looking for more authentic Chinese, go to Mulan or New Asia instead. But if it is late at night and you just want to grab some quick tasty dinner, this is the place. Greatly enjoyed the basic/classic fried rice with shrimp. Better yet, the fried rice noodles with pork (and vegetables) were not greasy! That sounds like nothing much, but other places unnecessarily coat/drench their noodles in oil. Not here, wonderful. Surprisingly good the next day, go for the large portion if interested. Communication can be tricky, so double check your order and speak clearly, especially when ordering over the phone.

Good price with okay food. Chinese take-out is pretty similar at most places, but everywhere is slightly different in how they do their fried rice. The fried rice at New Lin's was hard and seemed a bit undercooked, but it wasn't bad and they do have more meat in their fried rice than other nearby places.

One of the best Chinese take-outs near downtown, located in a strip mall 'behind' (just south of) the Walgreen's at Union and Pauline. The Chicken with Broccoli is a personal favorite, order with the pot stickers. General Tso's chicken is also worth a try. Crispy egg rolls. On the hand-made menu in the window they offer chicken wings and hamburgers. Can't really testify to the strength of these strange dishes, though I seem to see a lot of customers ordering the wings. Friendly service.
