These aren't the same recipes as on my last visit. The calamari was tempura style instead of being battered with corn starch, and the wonderful taste was gone. The pad Thai was overpowered with anise.

I have two go-to Chinese restaurants in Maryville that are my favorites. This is one of them. The staff is very friendly and they're happy to make prepare vegan options.

We eat here often, and the service is always impeccable and friendly. The sweet tea is the best in Maryville, the hot and sour soup is awesome......better than the other Asian places in town and we have tried them all !! The pork fried rice is outstanding, the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce is amazing...with plenty of shrimp and fresh !!...The Hibachi Chicken and really any of the Hibachi Combos are really tasty......with generous portions. The prices are reasonable based on how much you get for the money. It all tastes as though it is freshly prepared. This is a small Mom and Pop type operation, and they work hard to please the customer. They will willingly substitute ingredients to your tastes. I can't recommend this highly enough. I will give it 10 stars if possible. I am not affiliated in any way with this restaurant.......it is just a "hidden gem" in a little shopping center.

This is the best food and service for your money. One of my favorite places. I always get the hibachi steak and chicken and have never had a complaint about it.

I really wanted to like this place more after seeing such great reviews. I found the outside of the restaurant to look old and outdated. I would never of come here if the reviews weren't so great. The nice thing is the inside if the restaurant if very neat and clean. Service was super friendly and quick. I ordered carry out online and the lady knew who I was as soon as I walked in. The food was just okay. The Mongolian beef didn't taste fresh, the meat was even a little soggy. Could've easily been a frozen food that was just reheated. I also got a rice noodles with pork dish, it left an unpleasant after taste. The general tso chicken was okay, not very spicy and the sauce was even a little too sweet. I would order it again if I ever go back. I got a side of broccoli too, way overcooked. Considering the choices in the Maryville-Alcoa area, this place still might be on if the better places to go for asian food.

I love Empire. It isn't a buffet restaurant, and in my opinion that is why the quality is better than places that are primarily a buffet. It's clean, and the folks who work at Empire are incredibly nice and attentive.

Wow, what can I say, this is THE best asian food I've ever had! That being said I've experienced so many different styles and flavors from Chicago, IL to Austin, TX. Their hot & sour soup and pork fried rice are THE best I've ever had the chance to experience. You would never expect this form some small town in East Tennesse, but low and behold it's there and has some of the best richness of flavors you'll ever experience. The prices are just right too, you will not be disappointed by this place I promise, and even down here in Austin Texas I still have yet to find a place with such great quality, Empire Garden you are my favorite Asian restaurant of all time and you still remain to this day, the highest bar of perfection in Asian cuisine.

Stopped in tonight for the first time. Our usual Asian restaurant spot, New Asia, suddenly closed and left us searching for a new place so we gave it a shot. First impression on the outside is not very exciting, just a plain typical strip mall storefront. Once inside however, I thought it was clean and pleasant looking. We placed an order to go of Beef with Peppers and Onions, Sesame Chicken, and Won Ton soup. The hostess was very nice to me and my 1.5 year old daughter and even gave her some Chinese candy/crackers to snack on while we waited. Upon hearing that she has a twin sister at home she came back to me with a handful of the candy to take home. I thought that was a very sweet gesture. The food came out quickly, and we were on our way. Got home, opened it up and dived in. Everything was very tasty. Decent portion sizes, and the food itself tasted fresh. I have had alot of experiences of getting Chinese food at these smaller establishments and you can tell the food and/or grease is old as everything has a brownish gray hue to it and a heavy taste. Not so here though, it was clean and fresh tasting. For under $20 the price can't be beat either. My 5 star rating doesn't mean it will knock your socks off, but what it means is that for what you should expect, it delivers and well. We will definitely be coming back here when we want some Chinese food. They also have Thai food, might try some Pad Thai next time!

Food was very underwhelming. Little to no flavor. Very bland. And actually kinda towards the "cold" side... Hmmmmm wow. Additionally, the service was not the best either. Granted, since I was just passing through Alcoa (which seems like the middle of nowhere), this is may be the norm here. Regardless, I remained overall very very unimpressed with everything here (food + service).

I'm really sorry to do it, but this place just doesn't have good food. My family came in and we were treated really well, but the food didn't have much flavor. If you want good Chinese food, the best I found is Little Bangkok. You won't regret the stop!

This is one of those secret places that do not look like much on the outside but is an absolute gem on the inside. This is hands down one of the best places in Blount county to get your Asian cuisine. You can tell they take their time perfecting every dish that goes out. Fresh hot ingredients and wonderful presentation. Even if you get something to go it is still just as wonderful at home as it is in the restaurant. I applaud this place. They have a new customer for life. I can't wait to try everything on the menu.

Like every soy sauce cheap Chinese restaurant. Small servings of dinner plates Non authentic claim of also having Malaysian food. They do not honor the yelp coupon.
