They were so helpful after we had a horrible experience with "Cabins of the Smoky Mountains" via Legacy Resorts. We had slim pickings bc there were only 2 cabins left, with last minute notice, Laura was able to get it ready and have us in by 2:00. They were so polite and helpful and really helped turned our vacation around.They even gave us an after hours number in case we encountered any problems, which I am happy to say, we did not. The chalet, mountain majesty, was very nice and super clean and the views were spectacular ! We will definitely be renting from them again next time we visit and have already told many of our friends that have asked. ... Thank you again Stony Brook !

We LOVED this place! The owner helped us recover our vacation after a very very bad experience with another "cabin place". She helped us financially so that we were able to salvage our vacation. The cabin was slightly up the foothills of a mountain and surrounded by trees. Everything was in working condition and the hot tub was clean and wonderful. :) We had one issue and it was fixed immediately. We love this place and I can not endorse it enough. Btw... we had the cabin "Roughn It"

We stayed at the Love Shack and absolutely loved our stay in a beautiful log cabin. It was the perfect getaway for us away from the busyness of town where we ventured out each day. We soaked in the hot tub overlooking the brook each morning and evening, and loved eating outside listening to the birds. It isn't scary, middle of nowhere secluded, but the cabins are situated that they have sufficient privacy and the little development is very nicely kept. Our cabin and all of the furnishings were beautiful, homey and comfortable. The price was great for a wonderful getaway, and we'll be back again.

We stayed at Misty Cove, this was an awesome cabin. We had 4 families (12 people) and was the first time our whole family took a vacation like this. I can tell you we had very few complaints, most were learning experiences for us. Such as bring a small roll of trash bags, there are only 2 in the cabin, not a complaint just a heads up. The view from this cabin is not much so if you like true seclusion this is the one. The only complaint that we could muster up was the Internet was out for our entire trip, but that was kind of nice. There was also no cell service, again kind of nice. We brought a crock pot and some food, plenty to eat for us, crock pot is a must if you want to put something on and leave to do whatever and then come "home" for dinner. Everything was clean and with our families all the adults had their own rooms and baths, kids had a bunkhouse.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Love Shack at the end of March beginning of April. The folks at Stony Brook Cabins were very helpful and courteous throughout our stay. We arrived late in the day, but were still able to pick up our arrival packet using their late check in. While we planned on doing some of the tourist attractions in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, it was refreshing to be outside of all the traffic and noise. All we heard was the gentle sound of the bubbling brook just outside the cabin. We started our morning with a big breakfast in our cabin and spent most of the day wandering around the area. When we returned at night we relaxed in the hot tub and listened to the brook while breathing in that mountain air. There is a group of cabins in the area, but far enough away for privacy. They all share the laundry facilities just down the trail which was really convenient. Not too far from the cabin is a small country store about a 10 minute walk, which we were able to try some of the local specialties like sorghum. My son enjoyed playing the multicade and the playstation in the evening that was available for our use in the cabin. Our family of 3 was quite comfy and recommend the Love Shack for your next stay.

This cabin(Love Shack) sucked. It was supposed to be secluded. That is if you don't mind the drag racing in the road beside you all night on a major roadway. The bed was awful. You could not sit on the side of the bed to put your shoes on. Had to sit on the corner where the bed did not bow in. I made reservations early then changed them to get a Jacuzzi (and paid more) and the Jacuzzi did not work. The main "bathroom" was downstairs and the bed upstairs. The bathrooms were so small with no place to set anything. The lighting was extremely dark. I have been in larger outhouses! I feel the cabins size was misrepresented on line. Coming back I could see how a wide angle lens was used and distorted the pictures to make it look larger. It said big screen TV and it was a 32" if that. I got stuck in the BR due to the door sticking (did not touch the lock) and we had to both work to get me free. The hot tub was a mess around it. You could wave at people at the he store if the hot tub was used. This whole cabin was a joke. We were offered a repairman, but the whole idea of the visit was to spend "together" time to celebrate our anniversary. Not to spend time with my husband, me and THE REPAIRMAN. We had 1 1/2 days as it was. You were not allowed in until 4pm and check out was 10am. Are you joking, a repair man to take part of our day and 1/2? I would expect better conditions or a realistic review of the cabin. The pictures make this cabin look 2x as big as what it is. It also says 15 mins to downtown Gatlinburg. Only be a Star trek beaming device!
