I got the egg drop soup and the Mongolian chicken, and I must say it was pretty good. Our server was nice and friendly, and she was attentive to our needs. We weren't really sure what to expect after our visit to the aquarium. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the Gatlinburg area.

This has been the best Chinese Takeout I've ever had. The General Tso chicken, Sweet and Sour, and chicken Lo Mein were all great. The pricing was also on point.

This was a great Chinese place to eat in the smokies. The food was tasty. The duck sauce was good. It's made with palm and apple sauce instead of pineapple sauce...uniquely good. The chicken and shrimp with broccoli and sweet and sour chicken were ordered by my wife and myself. I thought the hot and sour soup was one of the best I've tried. No complaints... And the waiter was friendly and funny.

The waitress Jenny was a pleasure and the food was good. The service was excellent our drinks were never empty and they brought fresh rice for us when we emptied the first. Of course this all depends on the size of your party as to how much rice they bring. Let's just say it's not your usual chinese resraurant. If your looking for something quick or you want to sit down in downtown Gatlinburg give this gem of a restaurant a chance for sure.

Outstanding value in Gatlinburg. Great service & large portions. Order the Three Meat Chef's Special which includes soup and egg roll.

The food was pretty good - if this was a Chinese take-out place near home, it would be my 2nd or 3rd go-to place. Not 5 stars food (maybe 3) - what earns this place 4 stars is the service - the gentleman waiter was almost over-the-top with his service. Oh yeah, they'll stick you with an automatic gratuity for a larger group which is a shame.

The food was OK nothing that I haven't seen in Miami. What I really loved about this place and the only reason I would consider going back is because of the waitress, she has been working in that restaurant for years and she is amazing. Knows the menu, is super friendly, helpful, just amazing.

Hidden in the depths of Gatlinsburg, is this tiny little gem of a Chinese Restaurant. It is your typical Chinese joint with the decorations everywhere with your typical menu. Ordered the sweet and sour pork/shrimp combination which was good. (nothing special but just tasted good) Gotta mention that this was the fastest experience of eating Chinese Food ever. Got in, ordered, food came out in around 5 mins, gobbled it up in 10, paid and left. The servers were very nice so I appreciated that. Need a hit of Chinese in this extremely caucasian dense area? Check out this place!

My family and I went to this restaurant on recommendation from Yelp. We were unfortunately disappointed! The service was okay, but the food was unacceptable. The only items that had any taste were the very spicy/hot dishes, where everything else just tasted bland. Think about the taste of prison food, and this place is a step or two above that. Their egg rolls, soups, and entrees were all lacking. Nothing seemed to have taste. If you enjoy spicy Chinese food, this may be an okay place to go. Steer clear for anything else. I suspect a change of management occurred over the last few years.

We visited after a long day in the park. To be honest, I was more than a little worried about a Chinese restaurant in a resort town in Tennessee. So happy all my worries were unfounded. Was it the best chinese food I've ever had? No. But for the price and location it was pretty much everything I could have asked for. The food was tasty, (the kung pao was actually spicy like it's supposed to be) not super greasy and the waiter was great, really friendly and helpful.

Very typical chinese place, menu was nothing out of the ordinary. I'm spoiled by a chinese place where I live so everything pales in their comparison. However if you really want some oriental food, go ahead. Their general too chicken was pretty dry and their rice was very plain, almost mushy. My husband says their kung pao was great. Crab rangoon was more wrapper than anything. And no, there is no shrimp sauce, sorry. Would have been nice considering their food was bland.

We ordered chow mein and fried rice. Pretty bland tasting but good quantity for the price. Good alternative to the otherwise American fare at the smokies!

Great food, uniquely decorated, very attentive. Great service from start to finish. Large portions. Prices are reasonable. OPEN on Christmas Day! Very pleased and will definitely come back. This great little place is hidden in back of the main drag. You won't be disappointed.

Called the restaurant to ask how late they were open. A really rude person answered the phone and said they didn't know. I thought I misheard or they misheard me, hence I repeated the question. Yup, no gap in communication. He repeated the answer that he didn't know. Before I could ask if somebody else would know, he said nobody knows when we close :-D. At least I got some entertainment out of it.

Food was okay. Service was okay. We were only two people and they themselves added tip to the bill and charged tax over the tip as well. Our bill was 26 and with everything they charged us 36. Rip off! I am sure most people don't even notice and just pay the bill.. But I thought it was absolutely ridiculous to tax over 20% tip!!

I am not a big fan of take out Chinese food however my boyfriend stops at EVERY Chinese place EVER. It was a snowy day and we had planned on a nice restaurant but they were closed. We decided to just take food to our hotel room and I gave in to the plea for Chinese. I sent my other half in to make the decision on food. He came back with combination curry, chicken skewers, cream cheese wantons, and steak and lobster. Yes...steak and lobster. We got back to our room and everything was incredibly hot and fresh. The steak was truly delicious, I know that sounds strange but it is amazing. The wantons are some of the best I've ever had and the curry was also really great. We actually went back a second time on our trip and I can say the service is stellar. The guy running the place was so nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone and I never say that about Chinese. This place was so worth the stop!

We ordered 2 lunch special Mongolian Beefs on our way back to our cabin and I can honestly say that yelp reviews were spot on. Super friendly employees and pretty good chinese food. A little small portions but I'll definetly go back when in Gatlinburg again. I'll just have to ask for extra spicy next time because regular spicy didn't cut for me.

We had wonderful food and really great service! I highly recommend the chicken lo mein & sinapore noodles.

We had a great experience! The service was friendly and quick, the egg drop soup was hot and yummy, the egg roll was hot and very good, and the sesame chicken was fresh and delicious! The portion size was plenty for two, easily two cups of fried rice with two full chicken breasts. Definitely worth going!

One can only handle so much southern cuisine. And Gatlinburg has an endless amount it. But if you like Chinese food, you will love this place. Great prices, delicious food (and I am super picky about my Chinese food!!), very sweet staff. Will come back when we are in town next year!

Wonderful service. Awesome food and price. Not the usual takeout-only place. Almost a hidden gem considering its location and the surrounding. Glad to have found this place. We were so tired of grease and fat offered in other restaurants in Downtown Gatlinburg.

Great service. It was a slow night, but I think they would have been almost as good even if they were packed. We had hot and sour soup, Mongolian beef, and vegetable lo mien. The beef and soup were very good, but the lo mien was OK. The price was great -- our entrees were about $7 and $9. They give you a good amount of food. All-in-all, this is a really nice break from the myriad of casual dining and steakhouses in Gatlinburg.

Never ate Chinese in the south before. Food was OK... especially the sesame chicken. Service charge???? Never saw this before....

Amazing place this is. We go there after our tiriing day hikes in the smokies. For us, this is the only place that we would get enough vegetables and good proteins to help our bodies after the strenuous workouts. Initially we were skeptical about the taste of the food to be solely from MSG. Then we asked them not to use MSG in our foods and the food still tasted great. We love this place so much. Recommended for anyone. This is surprisingly also one of the best Chinese places that I have eaten in.

Friendly atmosphere with good service. Food is fair at best. Cheap but smaller portions than what most are use to getting at other chinese restaurants.

Fast fast fast, great service, good food. Average Chinese food but for our purpose this was the ideal restaurant. They kept my ice tea full. Humble location but our group of 4 adults and 3 kids ate for under $60 including a couple orders of soup. Hot & sour soup was a little bland. Orange chicken and garlic shrimp were very good.

Good service! The chicken lo mein was good as well as the crab ragoons. We also had the beef and brocolli and general tsos. Both are good. My favorite part was the wonton soup, it was one large wonton with green onions, very yummy! I cannot stress enough how awesome the service was! The one server looked like Jackie Chan and was knowlegdable and very funny. Five stars!

The price was good for the food we had. It beats a hamburger. The Mongolian beef was good. So was the egg roll.

It's hard to find an Asian Restaurant around Gatlinburg, so this one is sort of good. Price is not so high, but dishes are very small.

Very family-friendly and accommodating; I should know since I went with a party of 5 kids all under age 10, and 6 adults. 5 minute walk from Ripley's Aquarium, and down a quiet lane 20 steps off Gatlinburg's main bustling Parkway. Tofu, broccoli, fried rice and mixed Chinese vegetable dishes were all good, and certainly far tastier than fast-food Chinese fare. Prices we encountered for a Saturday late lunch, however, averaged $7-$9 per entree rather than the $5 mentioned elsewhere.

This will be my first review, but do not let that fool you. I travel the world for business and eat all types of food. My favorite happens to be Indian but Chinese is not far behind. I stumbled across this restaurant last year while in town and decided to give it a shot. It was a great find for those of you who are sick of the meat and potatoes as well as the southern fried fattening foods Gatlinburg has to offer. The staff was fun and friendly and I plan to make this a stop on my yearly trips to this town. Price cannot be beat as well. Mongolian beef was fantastic, get it spicy. Sesame chicken, lo mein, orange chicken were all delicious. I just do not think you can choose a bad dish. Egg Rolls are a must.

If you are looking for some authentic Chinese food experience, go straight to the Northern Chinese restaurant. Very good and spicy food. If you are an Indian reading this : like my wife said - its like the road side bandi Chinese restaurants back home. And if you a Pure vegetarian (like my wife) go right in!

What were we thinking? Not quite sure but don't go here if you have a hankering for Chinese food. My parents, brother, and I were visiting Gatlinburg on vacation and for some reason wished for tasty Asian-American cooking. Um, you might not find that here. We ordered fried rice, "chinese" broccoli, crispy duck. Sadly enough, I can make better fried rice. Duck tasted like it had been re-heated in the oven, and it certainly wasn't Chinese broccoli. Oh well. The servers were nice enough...but the food wasn't. Stick with pancakes!

I agree with rob m. When I think of a $5 meal, I think of fast food, but this was very good. All 4 of us enjoyed our lunch and it was way better than going to McDonalds. A hidden gem. We had the sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and beef with mushroom and bamboo shoots. All very tasty.

This is the best Chinese food in the area. The food is great, the staff is funny and very personable, and the price is low. Everything I've had from there so far has been excellent. I highly recommend the Beef with Green Pepper no green pepper, water chestnuts instead. My husband loves the barbecue spare ribs. Oh, and two meals is more than enough to feed three people. Go there! Keep them in business!

i was surprised to see this place hadn't been reviewed so i'll just give a short quick one to help fellow tourists. i was in town and didn't really feel like doing a tourist restaurant so decided to try out this place which is kind of hidden from the street. i got the Mongolian beef lunch combo and wifey got the vegetarian special. Both were quite tasty and much better than expected, the restaurant itself is pleasant and our server was very friendly. the amazing thing is each combo was only $5...thats it and it included and eggroll and fried rice...now i've traveled to a lot of places both glamorous and dumpy and i don't ever recall paying only $5 for a meal. i'm sure this place does a good carryout with all the local hotels but i would definitely recommend it to families who may be walking through Gatlinburg and are within a budget...the menu has all the typical faves so it should please evryone in the crew....now off to the bike trails

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
