I wasn't really excited about going there at first but everyone else wanted to go. I ordered shrimp and grits and every bite was heaven. They even had a great beer selection. In a nut shell, great food, awesome service, you will think about it every day until you go back. ;) I highly recommend this place....

This place was pretty good. Big portions of tasty food. Good service. Could have been cleaner, but I'm kind of OCD. Prices were right for the food and service.

I could not have enjoyed my lunch here one bit more. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the pricing, the value, the whole experience was stellar. The restaurant is decorated in a mardi gras color theme- with lots of purples and greens and golds and a big fleur de lis logo. My server, Landrianna, was as sweet as could be and was a perfect hostess and ambassador for Papa B's. I started with a cup of gumbo and paid for the slight upcharge to make that gumbo Eilee style -with crawfish added to the plentiful bounty of shrimp and sausage. I'm gonna look you straight in the eye and tell you this was the best gumbo I've ever had in my life. It was a ridiculously delicious bowl of seafood stew in a spicy broth. Just freaking wonderful! I had a BBQ Shrimp plate ($12.99 from the lunch menu -eight excellent shrimp in a BBQ sauce with sausage slices and a big scoop of potato salad. The flavors were magnificent. I ordered it at a "medium" spice level and it delivered a ton of zip. A side of red beans and rice added a creamy comfort food exclamation point to the meal. Including a good sized soft drink, my late lunch (3:00) ran a very reasonable $25 and included a terrific experience. Papa Boudreaux? C'est si bon!!

Had a late lunch here after getting in town around 4pm. We were seated immediately, as we were the only ones in the restaurant due to the odd timing. Our food came fast and fresh. My husband got the sausage and crawfish jambalaya with a side of red beans and rice & I got blackened shrimp with cheese grits (cuz I am a total sucker for that dish). I give them an A+ for presentation! Typically New Orleans style food comes as a glob of food (although delicious) and is not exactly pretty to look at. Everything had a ton of flavor and was super delicious. We recommended this place to our friends that night! I wonder about the night crowd and the potential for a long wait due to the small building, but either way it will be worth it!

This is an amazing family owned and operated authentic Cajun restaurant! Had the shrimp and grits and they were awesome! Can't wait to come back and try different things as I work my way they the menu!

Just finished having lunch here. Gumbo: good taste, but was served luke warm, which gave it a heavy oily taste -- would not order again. Crawfish Étouffée: good flavor, but, again served Luke warm; the gravy had separated and it to was greasy --- may order again. Fried crawfish: was very tasty , but batter was not crispy and hot -- they were very tasty so I would give them another try. Fried catfish: this was outstanding; batter Crispy seasoned just right, and fish hot. --- would definitely order again. I gave it the third star because the catfish was so good. I would probably give it another try , but would request the lunch be served hot, and be hopeful the dishes would not have a separation problem.

This place was fantastic. The dark rue gumbo was great and couldn't get enough of it. I had to pace myself know that my crawfish étouffée was just minutes away from arriving. Once it arrived- I slowly enjoyed each morsel down to wiping the bowl down with bread. When I am in the area again- I will definitely have a meal here one more time!!

Tip: this spot is small, so you might miss it driving by. Park and walk up the street. The chicken and sausage jambalaya was a great choice. I appreciate the hard-working waitress who suggested it over the po boy that I'l get next time. The leftovers were even better two days later. Thank you! I loved the Bread Pudding, no surprise. Here's my review: breadpuddinglovers.blogs…

Awesome Cajun food!! Everything is amazing. The service is fast and friendly and the food comes out in a timely (but always delicious & consistent) manner. I absolutely love fried pickles and these are some of the best I've ever had. Their batter is what makes it, but the pickles are cut thick so they're nice and crunchy. Their catfish is delish as well, it's cooked to absolute perfection. The gumbo is a must, as well as their crawfish tails. I recommend their redfish. It's a little more pricey than the catfish, but definitely worth it. You get a much bigger fillet and the taste is scrumptious You gotta try this place!

Came here for lunch right when they opened. I love the decor. The (owner?) waited on me the whole time. I ordered the crawfish and sausage jambalaya. It was hot and delicious. I ate every bite. I even opted for a beignet because I've never eaten one before. Artery hardening goodness. Friendly and overall good experience.

Ate lunch here today, absolutely amazing! I started off with a cup of gumbo then Three of us had the Chef's Special etouffee, (shrimp, crab, crawfish, and catfish- surrounded in boudin balls) my taste buds will never be the same...not sure there is anything better than good Cajun food and this is about as good as it gets!

Food was really good! Would like to see some toasted garlic bread to soak up the yummy Cajun and creole sauces though. Location is small - great for takeout.

Visiting Nashville for long weekend.....took a ride to Franklin TN to see some other sites. Lunch options were many but, the idea of Cajun/Creole food sounded awesome. Quaint little place with fun decor. Servers were very friendly and attentive and the menu had some great options. Not only could you order a single dish but, you could to platters of different options to try. Crawfish Ettouffe was very tasty and not too spicy, though they do have the extra spicy kick in a container on the table if you like it...like I do! My son had a platter of Gumbo, crawfish and catfish....another great choice. Pricing was reasonable and food great. Definitely, will recommend.

Both times I've been here, the service was incredible. Rebecca was a great server and really took care of me. I now have a new found love for this kind of food... Plus the portions they give you, especially when ordering take out, are really good! Great food and wonderful management!

Excellent service and food! We had the fried redfish and shrimp salvo and it was a nice light flash pan fried version of both. I also had the pasta and blackened chicken. And it was a perfect blend of creamy lemony and spicy flavors. The blackend chicken was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. We also had a bowl of seafood gumbo and again it was excellent. Not too spicy and with a savory "broth" that I will return for! This is my new favorite Franklin restaurant!! Nobody told me to write this, it's Just a great family owned place. I liked the christian music playing too.

Went for lunch with my three sisters. Totally exceeded expectations. I got the special gumbo Eilee - AMAZING. My sister got the chicken and sausage jambalaya - FABULOUS and loved by all. My other two sisters got the creole and it was good but not amazing. We shared two desserts, the bread pudding and beignets. Both excellent, though I think the bread pudding won by a hair. (Butter!!!!) We all enjoyed the amber ale. Stay away from the raspberry ale. We are very happy, ever so slightly drunk, tourists.

Excellent service and food! Got the "snacker sample" and the shrimp creole. My boyfriend said it's his new favorite restaurant around Nashville. We will definitely be back :)

absolutely a gem of a find! What a fantastic little hole in the wall place! I went with a group, and though the place is small, they made room for us. All the food we tried was out of this world. I'm from California, and I SO WISH they had places like this out there. I can't rave about this place enough, doesn't look like much from outside, but this is a perfect case of "looks can be deceiving' or" don't judge a book by it's cover" because it's outstanding! We had the gumbo, the jambalaya, the catfish po boy, all delish, but my absolute favorite was the crawdish etouffee with fried catfish. TO DIE FOR.

  • Charlie S.

This place has the best, most authentic Cajun food outside of New Orleans! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I just can't recommend this quaint little place enough!

  • Traci H.

My mom and I went there on a recent trip to TN. We are from Texas and went to TN and ate Cajun food. The gumbo and red beans and rice were delicious! Good coffee too! The benets were good albeit a bit different texture than ones I have had in the past. They had more a French toast flavor but still very tasty. We will visit again for sure.

  • Kayci G.

Food was great but the service was horrible... They had no idea about authentic cajun food and could not explain details when asked and the servers were EXTREMELY rushed and rushed us out the door at closing time by cleaning around us, after we paid $60 for our food. Again, food great, just a bad experience :( and this is coming from a cajun!

    (2)
  • Mitch S.

Food was pretty good. Red fish was very tasty. Gumbo was flat. Should have more kick to it. Service was lacking. Our server was slow and unable to multi-task. We will probably go again some time.

My husband and I went in for dinner on a Wednesday night. When we got there the wait staff and chefs were sitting outside smoking. When we went in we were the only ones in there (later another family came in). We had prompt service. We ordered red beans and rice and chicken creole. The meals were just okay and they seemed steeply overpriced ($14.99 for the beans and $17.99 for the chicken). We both felt that for the price we should have gone to 55 South right across the street for a much tastier and better valued meal. We will not be returning.

Only real complaint is the Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, and Sugar Ray soundtrack. Shrimp and grits was great!

  • Tim G.

Ok. We decided to give them a second chance. We are sorry that we did. If you are looking for good cajun food, this is not the place. We found the bead very typical of Kroger. Food lacked any flavor or spice. Some of our dish was cold. Anyone have suggestions on where to get good Cajun food in Nashville?

    (1)
  • Suzanne K.

Not so good. We were a party of 6 including 4 kids. All of the kids had cold dishes. I ordered shrimp and grits. Was wondering why waitress asks if I wanted to add redfish or so some other fish on top. Odd. When meal came out, was mostly grits. Will never go back. They added 20% gratuity to the check even though were just 2 adults.

  • Millah J.

Planned to meet my sis at Papa Boudreaux after a friend recommended it, and neither of us was disappointed! The shrimp and grits were great but be prepared for a little spice! And the redfish and red beans and sausage will be a dish I'll order again! Both were delicious! Please don't sleep on this restaurant. If you love authentic Louisiana-style, Cajun-spiced cuisine, you'll love it!

We stopped in on a Saturday evening for some appetizers while shopping on main st. Our timing was funny so the restaurant was empty, but our experience was great. We had one of the samplers and the fried pickles and loved the food. They offer all you can eat nights which we will be soon returning for.

  • Terri H.

Great Cajun food! We have been to the Santa Fe location so we had to see if the food here was as good. We were not disappointed. We had red beans and rice for our appetizer and both ordered the crawfish etoufee. My husband ordered the gospel version which is a spicier version. I was fine with the regular version. It lit him up. It's a good thing they serve bread with the entrees. The food was delicious. We were lucky enough to get here when it wasn't crowded. They have several picnic tables that could probably seat 8 people each so if you have a small party you may get to meet new friends during dinner. The service was good and they made sure our drinks stayed full which is a good thing with spicy food.

My family and I really enjoy this resteraunt! The service is great and the food is better! The beignet's are Excellent!

  • Linda A.

Dang it. Our first visit here was SO good, our second/third visit was pretty good. This weekend we went to Papa's again and it was only OK. Everything was worse. And now that it's not as good...the prices really bug me. Nothing special about the gumbo or po'boys and the service was lackluster at best. Such a drop off from our first amazing visit.

Solid Cajun food considering the options in the area. Much better than the Cajun Steamer in Cool Springs. We were pleased to be seated in 10 minutes at this quaint little place after coming to downtown Franklin to eat at Mellow Mushroom and they quoted us an hour wait. My husband and I really enjoyed the food. The gumbo was flavorful (perhaps a little more "soupy" than normal, but I liked it). I had the garlic shrimp and grits and the blackened shrimp were very well seasoned and spicy. The grits had some of the best flavor and texture that I've had in a while. My husband's jambalaya was nice and fairly spicy as well. You can order anything "gospel" style which is extra spicy. I was pleased with the spice without ordering it extra spicy, which I normally would have but I at least try to be somewhat compliant with my "bland" diet for my stomach ailments! :) I thought the dinner portions were a little pricy, but the portions are huge and both of us could only finish half of our dishes. But you do have plenty for lunch the next day. The menu is composed of your basic Cajun dishes. The dinner menu doesn't include sandwiches such as Po Boys. And I guess they only do crawfish boils on certain days/occasions. Another pro I found out... you can bring your own wine with no corking fee. Service was pretty good and staff was friendly. If it's just you and a date, you may be seated with another couple. That doesn't bother us, but I know some people would prefer not being seated with strangers. We'll be coming back for our next Cajun craving!

Not worth the dinner price. Red beans and rice was nothing to write home about. Also, got the shrimp and grits. Shrimp was over cooked. Good place if you want over priced mediocre food.

Very Good We are from south Louisiana and now live in middle Tennessee. We do know something about authentic Cajun food. We were hesitant to try this restaurant because so many 'Cajun' restaurants outside of Louisiana are so bad. We were pleasantly surprised and will return to this one! The gumbo is great and will stand up to any in south Louisiana. The fried redfish was delicious. The potato salad had a little to much mayo for my taste. Red beans were above average. To all you 'Cajuns' in Middle Tennessee I would say you will enjoy the food!

Very turned off by how rude they were. We called before leaving since it was fairly late and they are about 30-40 minutes away to verify that they were indeed still open. Upon arriving, we entered and people were inside eating. We sat down and waited. A gentleman came out and said they were closed. I stated we called and were told they were open, he came back with a "who did you talk to?" Does it matter who I talked too, no one gives their name when you call. He followed by saying they closed ealy cause it was dead in there, yet they had customers eating!! No, "we are sorry for the inconvenience", nothing what so ever!!! Just rude and very passive aggressive!! So we walked out feeling very disgusted, and went to 55 South again, they remembered my husband being related to Elvis, which was funny, and got us a table right away and we were treated with respect and awesome service!!! I will not be going back to Papa's after being treated like my business was nothing... FYI: Maybe your business is slow and dead because the way you treat paying customers!!!

I'm a huge fan of Cajun food, so I was thrilled to see there was a new one in town. Service was great, very friendly. Redfish was good, etouffee had way too much butter. As in, I wanted to go tell the chef I had to use their delicious bread to soak up enough butter to make the dish edible. It is a little pricey so come for lunch. I have to come back to try the bread pudding and the oysters. Took me a while to notice, but there's no tv in the place, and it made the meal so much more pleasant. Until some weirdo walks in and the only seat is right next to you. Cannot wait for the day when family style seating become un-trendy!

  • Talon F.

I can sum this up in few words, All the sauces com from a can or jar. I would be happy if it cost 60% less, but this is pricey by any standard and it's just not great.

I am sad to say after reading all these AMAZING reviews that I can only give it two stars. It was fathers day and after having had an awesome fathers day meal in the past at Cajun Steamer, I was really looking forward to trying Papa Boudreaux's. We got there and the wait was not bad; only about 15 min. I will say that the wait staff of two were very friendly and for the most part attentive. I was excited that they had boudin balls for a fathers day appetizer and I will say, they were VERY yummy with just the right amount of spice and served with remoulade sauce. Given I got an appetizer and I knew were going to want desert, I opted not to get a $20 entree but rather go with a PoBoy. My wife ordered the shrimp PoBoy with fries and I ordered the oyster PoBoy with red beans & rice (kids ordered chicken tender baskets - in hindsight, they should have split one). All the food came out except my oyster PoBoy which followed about 5 min behind everything else which is a huge pet peeve of mine. While siting there wishing I had my meal my wife pops open the hood on her PoBoy and boy were we both disappointed. One tomato only covering a little over half of the sandwich, a tiny dollop of remoulade sauce and four average size shrimp not even covering the entire area on the sandwich. My oyster PoBoy comes out and same very disappointing thing. We could always get more remoulade sauce so that wasn't a big deal and the meat was okay but there was not enough for us to enjoy the flavor of the meat. Also, my bread was way overcooked but my wires was fine. I will say the red beans and rice was good but NOT great. With a PoBoy or any sandwich for that matter, you can't have the bread overpower the meat. The meat has to be the star of the dish and this was FAR from it. For desert we got chocolate bread pudding which was very good but we should have gone with the regular bread pudding because the chocolate just took away from it. Not the chefs fault, just the nature of the beast I think. I have eaten authentic cajun / creole food many, many times and here there is no doubt the chef's seasoning, technique and final product is authentic but just not executed well at all. One gentleman posted that Papa's is much better than Cajun Steamer and couldn't disagree more. I have eaten at Cajun Steamer both here and in Pelham AL many times and it is far above and beyond better. Now lets talk price - I paid $80 with tip for: - Boudin balls (6 about golf bass size) $7.95 - 1/2 Oyster PoBoy $11.99 - 1/2 Shrimp PoBoy $9.99 - 2 Chicken Baskets $5.99 each --- If you have kids under 5 they can split one - Chocolate Bread Pudding $8.99 - 2 Abita Purple Haze $4.00 each - 2 Sprites $2.00 - Sweet Tea $2.00 So many things wrong with the pricing: - Kids meals are WAY overpriced - If drinks were included in the kids meal, not a big deal - or Reduce the price of the kids drink - $11.99 for 4 half dollar size fried oysters on an overcooked french bread roll - $9.99 for 4 pieces of shrimp The Boudin balls and bread pudding I felt were priced appropriately - everything else, too high. Again, maybe I went on an off day but overall just not impressed for an $80 meal. I would have been disappointed if it were a $40 meal. Maybe thats the only way they can stay open in a prime real estate location in downtown Franklin. Unfortunately, we just won't go back to give it a second shot. I hate to give it such a bad review on Yelp because I know they rely on it and many have enjoyed it but just had to.

To: Mr. Craig L. FROM: Papa of Papa Boudreaux's Over 15 months ago, I sold my Franklin Cafe to my sons. What does this have to do with YOUR article? Everything ! The fact that you have involved ME into your "School Boy verbal bulling practices" by stating in " LIABLE" writing that Papa's was far better before the " move to downtown Franklin and got ' G R E E D Y ' and too big for their britches", I WILL STATE THIS. I come up there to Franklin several times a week to ensure the product is good. Mostly, you do not know me and haven't an inkling as to the amounts I direct towards Humanitarian Endeavors. I constantly help my employees by giving them money to help them and their families in times of difficulty; NEVER calling it a loan or asking for it back. Several years ago, I virtually gave one of my cars to a Chef, down on his luck as he simply needed one to go back and forth to work in order to make a living. I give large annual sums of donations to world-wide organizations to help children who lost their parents to HIV, HEP C, and other Immune related diseases contributing to their educations, medical, clothing and physiological well being. I have placed six (6) Tibetan young men and women into University setting , paying for their University Degrees after they were cast into deprived situations due to the occupation of Communist Chinese. I have help rebuild a church here in the Santa Fe community after the flood destroyed one of their buildings several years back, and i am not a member of that church. Now it is apparent that you do NOT know me and only because of reputation. .. and since I do not know you sir, I will merely state this. You are NOT in my league; nor do you want to Slander or Liable yourself ever again. When you slander me; you Slander my father who raise me to uphold my existence with ' INTEGRITY '; conducting myself with a Common Cods of Decency, common Codes of FAIR PLAY... something you are lacking. ISo let me explain something to your school boy mentality. IF you have a problem with any establishment offering services you feel is lacking, for whatever the reason, simply raise your hand like you did in elementary school , and ask to see the manager / owner or whomever is in charge. They will always try their best to remedy the problem. THIS IS THE WAY ' A D U L T S ' communicate; not persons with school-boy mentality ! Furthermore, IF you feel you need to ever talk with me about . . . what was it you said, oh yes, " DAMAGE CONTROL", my door is always open. Please, just pick up the phone and call or yet, simply write me via facebook. Its just that easy. I WILL LISTEN; but I WILL NOT BE SLANDERED or LIED TO ! Got it sonny boy ?

The food is great at both locations. Papa can be found here, as well as a great staff and menu. The cajun food is like no other. It tastes great, healthy, and fresh. We come all the way from California to enjoy the cuisine!

I just ate at Papa's! It's as good as it gets! The BEST South Louisiana Cajun Food in Nashville and the surrounding areas. The fried oysters and soft shell crab were brought to the table piping hot, VERY CRISPY and perfectly seasoned. I had the Shrimp, Andouille & Scallop Pasta Special. The sauce is a light, lemony, cream sauce filled with flavor and the seafood and sausage were just perfect. The cute little restaurant reminded me of New Orleans or Baton Rouge and the servers were nice, friendly and prompt. I am from Louisiana so I know one when I see one! Its the BEST! FINALLY Downtown Historic Franklin is getting is flavor on!

I visited Papa Boudreaux's with several friends to celebrate a birthday! It was my first time dining here and I couldn't wait to try it out! This is a real casual place but I think the dress could go either way. Our waitress was wonderful! Very attentive and friendly! The food was amazing! Our table ordered a mixture of Red Beans & Rice, Creole, Shrimp & Grits and BBQ Shrimp. Everyone loved the food! They sell beer and you can bring in your own wine if you want. I can't wait to go back!!! *also, the Executive Chef came out & introduced himself to us. He was very welcoming and we appreciated him doing so.

Okay, enough with the holier-than-thou snobbery about "cajun" versus "creole". .. ..Papa's is the bomb, nuff said. The Franklin location is just as good as the original joint. The atmosphere is a little more. . ..casual (but that's not quite the right word). Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was boss just like I knew it would be. I literally can't believe anyone would give this place 1 star. Our party had the beans and sausage (excellent flavor, could use more kick), Oyster Po'Boy (HUGE!), and Shrimp & Cheese Grits (fabulous and spicy). All was piping hot and fresh and superbly done, as I have come to expect from Papa. Seriously - this is good food, whether you're Creole or Cajun or whatever the crud.

Very short wait time to be seated. Very generous portion of food. Definitely a place to revisit.

Loved this! Boudin balls and fried crawfish tails were wonderful, although the remoulade was a little weak. Crawfish etouffee, seafood gumbo, fried shrimp, soft shell crab, red beans and rice were all fabulous. Shrimp creole was a little overpowered by the celery, but still tasty. Louisiana bread pudding was amazing! Strong cocoa flavor without being too sweet. They didn't have any coffee, which was a shame. A little CDM with that dessert would have been outstanding. Service was wonderful. Food was great. We'll do this one again.

Great food. Very relaxed setting and not the fanciest of presentations. However, if you want great food, this is the place.

I am so glad we tried Papa Boudreaux's one Sunday afternoon because we continue to return again and again now. The best thing I've had, and now seek out from them, is the fried catfish. Delicious. Crispy. So flavorful. I have been for dinner as well, and just note that it is much more expensive, but they also double the portion. It's so huge! My only negative, in regards to the food, is their bread. They really should bake their own. It's not fresh and not great. I don't even bother eating it. Ever.

Just awesome...Food great, service great, beer cold. The red fish never disappoints, and I can't get enough of their boudin balls. Yum. I tend to stick with the crawfish etouffee...made with enough butter to clog every artery and is fantastic. Other things on the menu rock too - recommend the gumbo and anduille pasta, gospel! Amen!

If I could have given them no stars I would! We ordered catering through them only for them to completely forgot about our order. I had a houseful of people with nothing to eat. Their way of rectifying the situation was to make us come to them to pick up some quickly made food AND to charge us full price! Thanks so much. Oh and I forgot to mention that the food they gave us was 3/4 rice with a sprinkling of the dish on top. Needless to say the customer service stinks at the very least my hope was that the quality of the food would make up for it, but no such luck.

The service was good and the staff were very nice. The gumbo was a little watery for my taste. Overall, it was just average and I was hoping for a better, more authentic Cajun flavor.

I'm upping my rating to 5 stars. Took my parents here tonight while they are visiting from out of town. We shared the deep fried redfish appetizer and Sara and I shared the garlic shrimp and grits. Both were EXCELLENT. The redfish is perfect, on. PoBoy or by itself. Just perfect. The batter is lint and crispy with a perfect amount of pepper heat. The remoulade Is delicious. The shrimp and grits were also great. Not as good as the redfish, but excellent none-the-less. The sauce was bread sopping worthy, shrimp cooked perfectly. I look forward to trying the etoufee and shrimp pasta. Both looked excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She gave good advice about the menu. We enjoyed the chocolate bread pudding, which was plenty for 3 of us. Really, a must here. Honestly, this is my new favorites restaurant in Franklin. If you are frightened by the prices, keep in mind that the entrees are easily sharable, which brings the menu down to und $10 per person.

This place was, repeat "WAS", really good. Before they moved to downtown Franklin and got greedy and too big for their britches! Service has been horrible the last 3 times we've been and the entrees are a far cry from what they used to be like when "Papa" was in the back cooking in Fly, TN. The wait staff (when you can get one) are rude and think they are doing you a favor. Their prices are ever increasing while the size and quality continues to diminish. They had the nerve to charge me an extra $5 to make my creole "gospel" style which was a total joke! It was no differnt than non gospel style bringing my entree to a whopping $24.99 total for average at best cajun food. Papa needs to be doing some serious damage control

Came here for lunch and may have been a little neglected because we were sitting outside, but the service has always been impeccable in the past. Their shrimp and grits are to die for, if not a little overpriced for a lunch menu. Also? Their bread is AMAZING. I think it has crack sprinkled in it, it's so addictive.

If you've never been for the all you can eat special - you must! I'm the kind of person who can stretch a normal sized meal out into three, but I managed to find room for almost everything on the menu the first time we tried it. Be sure to try the crawfish etoufee - it's to die for!

Excellent Cajun food!! We had the bayou sampler with fried shrimp and catfish. It had a light batter with a good seasoning. The red beans and rice was also very tasty. We also ordered beignet (donut like dessert) 3 came to a order but we added a fourth and it was well worth it. It was much better than the original beignet in New Orleans. The staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely revisit on our return trip to Nashville.

I enjoyed my dinner here. I went on a Sunday night and did there all-u-can eat deal. Which is fun because you can try several different things. Our server was very helpful. I would for sure go back.

Tonight w sat outside on one of the two tables on a slow Wednesday night. Inside seating was under half full and was empty when we finally finished our meal. Food was very good. Portions were very large. We had a nice entree of their Gumbo special and a entree of the crawfish etouffee. Both dishes were very tasty. For an appetizer we had boudin balls that took very long to come out from the kitchen. Done very well, just took a long time to get to our table on a night when the place was almost empty. Overall, the experience was good. Waitress/hostess left us alone a little longer than we needed multiple times but other than that she did a great job knowing the specials and being very pleasant. We will return again someday to enjoy this good authentic Cajun food.

The food was amazing but over priced. I will say that the portions are very large but still I find them to be over priced. The atmosphere is great as well.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about both locations. My daughter and I went, not impressed. The catfish were far to greasy to eat and the bread pudding not good.

I don't know why anyone isn't thrilled with Boudreaux's. Seriously, this is the BEST food outside of New Orleans, no joke! Authentic, fresh and extremely tasty. Yes, the portions are HUGE so either order the appetizer size or share. When you consider how big it is the price point isn't expensive. The place was packed when we were there so we had to share a table (kind of actually made it more fun and you could see other things you didn't order and wished you had). They are pushed to the limit on wait staff so just be patient. It is well worth it. The Boudin Balls are crispy, two bite size balls with boudin in the middle. Very tasty and unusual. They run out so order fast. You won't be disappointed with anything you order off their menu. Sooooo delicious!!!
