When I'm willing to risk an MSG induced migraine for Chinese food, New China is my go to place. My husband does take out here a lot on my late shifts at work because he knows I've gotten some nasty migraines in the past after eating Chinese food. But surprisingly, I haven't gotten migraines the past few times I've eaten here! Maybe it's coincidence, or maybe they don't use as much MSG. The food here is actually really good. Large servings at a good price. I can eat two meals off one combo order between $7-9. The family that owns the place is always there, and their little boy is usually at one of the tables doing his homework. Drinks are served in the bottle in a fridge. I prefer fountain drinks.

Best in the area and trust me I have looked and tried than all. I will say the staff/family members do not know how to deal with customers, and it feels a bit squared, but who cares the food is great.

New China actually prompted me to create my first Yelp review. I just moved right up the street and was excited to have a Chinese Restaurant right down the road. Whenever I order the stereotypical "take-out" Chinese food, my wife and I always have the Shrimp Lo-mein, Crab Rangoon, and a bowl of Hot and Sour soup. The first thing I noticed when I went in to pick up my food was how dirty and cluttered the place was. It was a typical small Chinese restaurant, but their two kids were there and they had kids toys all over the place. I just thought that was kind of wierd. My wife is kind of weird about that stuff, so I know if she ever saw it, she would never let me order from there again. That being said, the food was very good. The Lo-mein, in particular was a huge portion and wasn't as greasy as I've had in the past. I was also impressed with the amount of Shrimp in the meal. The Crab Rangoon was also really good. Not too much of a straight cream cheese taste like you sometimes can get. Although, my wife didn't care for it, I actually enjoyed the Hot and Sour soup. It was even better reheated the next day. Overall, mainly for convenience, I would order from New China again, especially, if my wife isn't home. I do not think my wife would care to eat there again.

This is my default go to Chinese takeout in the Cool Springs/Franklin area. Small place run by a family that offers good Chinese food aiming to keep the tastes authentic. Generous on my taste buds, light on greasiness, and big in proportions, this place gets two thumbs up from me. Good menu variety. The owners speak broken english, but once you overcome the language barrier, the food is worth the wait.

This place is not trying to be more than it is: good, fast Chinese food. It is a winner if you just want some good grub, especially if you want take out. The only way they could be better is if they delivered.

Great Chinese food hidden on Liberty Pike. The crab Rangoon is very good. No questionable parts in the chicken - just Fresh tender chicken!

Probably the best pepper steak I've had in a long time. The beef was very lean and the sauce was tasty. The young man at the front was polite but I had to repeat myself. A small plate was plenty of food! I will eat here again.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city.
