This little place is so cool. The food is decent. The charm this place has is out of this world. If the walls could talk... I bet there are a trillion stories to be told. The staff is so friendly and down to earth and a singing bartender!! We left a hefty tip and will definitely be back the next time we come to Franklin.

Smooth jams...cold brews...relaxed, untaxed, that's the facts. Food is tastey...you'll find locals, song writers a cozy neighborhood vibe...if you're a tourist you'll be disappointed, if you're a local, you'll be at home. The smoked pulled chicken and biscuits with white gravy will soak up anything you drink. A few drafts on tap...more in bottles, a house white and red...you come here for the music man and don't you forget it!

Maybe we came here on an off night. I guess I wasn't sure what the hype was. I saw the schedule and came to the place but it wasn't the same time person playing as scheduled. We were a bit disappointed. The sound was good and nicely balanced though but we didn't care for the person performing. Nothing special with the menu either unfortunately. The people there were nice and friendly though.

I will start this by saying I will definitely be adding to this review as soon as I have something to add. The problem I have with this place is that I didn't get to experience it! After checking on the internet both at their own site and on here, we saw that it opened for dinner at 4pm. We were staying in Franklin because our daughter was in the hospital. We had tickets for a 7pm show in Nashville so we wanted to eat early and head north to our show. We arrived at Kimbro's at 4pm but they hadn't opened yet. We asked a guy we had seen smoking on their front porch if he knew what was up and he said they were probably just getting a late start since he knew they were all in the back. So we went to the antiques place across the street for a while and came back at 4:30 but it was still closed. We waited around a few more minutes before deciding we had to leave since we wouldn't have time to eat at that point anyway. So we really wanted to check it out. I used to live in Franklin off Del Rio so I knew the area and wanted to see the house's renovations. I wish we could have been able to do so but we just couldn't wait. So be forewarned, this was on a Saturday evening and there was even some kind of special concert that night requiring a cover charge, and they still didn't open on time! When we get the chance to come back we will add to this review but for now, all we have to go on are hard feelings.

WARNING!!! We enjoyed Kmbros BUT they said they DONT take Yelp discount deal and have no idea where that came from so don't give Yelp the $30...... You will get nothing for it at Kimbros........

Good local music with no frills. This takes me back to my high school days listening to friends jam at the locally owned barely making a buck coffee shop. Music is worth the visit but I wouldn't order food from here. Good place for a few bottled beers.

Great local music venue, very intimate (small) and features local brews. I will give them 5 stars when they get the space invaders video game and Captain Fantastic pinball machine running. Fun, cozy space in the antique area near downtown Franklin. Street parking is usually no problem.

I absolutely love Kimbro's. Talk about a chill atmosphere. They have great food, unique live music and the staff is as friendly as they come. If you are looking to be a regular anywhere, this would be the place to go.

If you're looking for a spot in Franklin to experience live music and an authentic atmosphere this is the place. They get a wide variety of acts from country and blues to Celtic and rock. They have a modest, yet good selection of beer on tap and many bottles, plus wine. During the evening they serve a selection of burgers and sandwiches along with salads and rather filling apps. They've recently started serving lunch again and that's a good thing. It's a cozy place that offers a very intimate setting for watching musical acts.

Ive been to this place a couple times and I think that its really a cool place if you catch a good show with a good crowd. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly people. I would eat dinner first - its mostly for drinks and hangout!

Really enjoyed my first time at Kimbro's Pickin Parlor. We dropped by after a movie at the Franklin Theatre had some beers and sodas and listened to a nice band play. The crowd was mostly locals, engaging in conversations and even joining in on some of the songs. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, good customer service and we look forward to coming back soon. There were several rooms, so seating was not a problem and parking was available. We will try the food next time!!!

I loved this place. It was my first time there and we liked it. There are several seating areas... we sat in a smaller room with a TV and games to play. We played clue while we waited for our food. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the egg was slightly undercooked and it was a little on the expensive side fir the amount of food. We will be going back, the menu is French inspired and we LOVE French food. Overall a great experience!

The venue is really very nice and the beer selection was robust. Laid back drinking hole for locals. Really enjoy the jam room. More like hanging out at a buds house than an established bar. Having said that, and continuing the analogy, eat supper away from this buds place. Come for the atmosphere....not the cuisine.

The music was awesome last night and the room is a good one for sound, with a Bose PA, a rarity. The food was nasty and the service challenged to say the least. Door person tells me to go the bar to use a credit card to pay the cover. Fine. Bar person tells me to show the receipt to the door person. Fine, But then door person begins demanding my name but won't say why? Music is loud, I just walk in and ignore her. Later, paying for food, bar person tells me they were short-handed tonight so they asked a regular to work the door. A weird one, apparently. Then bar person plunks my CC receipt on the bar into a puddle, soaking it, rendering it barely able to be signed. Bought some chicken nachos that required a saw to separate. So food by a disgruntled cafeteria lady, service by 12 year olds, but music that's wonderful.

I am new to the area and was thrilled to find Kimbros just around the corner from my new home. All staff members that I have interacted with have been very friendly and helpful, and other patrons have been very nice as well. Great venue! My only complaint (which keeps this from 5 stars) is the past 2-3 songwriter nights there is one particularly loud girl who genuinely seems to think that everyone in the room is interested in what she has tosay at every moment. She is constantly being shushed by others but that does not seem to be a deterrent. My table and the table next to us actually left this past week because she was such a distraction. I understand this is no fault of the establishment, but I wish there was a better way to enforce proper protocol, etiquette and respect for the musicians performing and those of us who came to listen.

Great find in a sea of choices. Will Jordan and his team at Kimbro's really deliver a great experience of live music, food, and drinks in a fun environment. Singer/songwriter offering lives here, however they are constantly mixing it up. Check this place out!

Eat before you get there. Trust me on that one. Beer was warm. All of it. Brian James and the Revival were awesome. 5 stars for music. 1 star for food and beer. 4 stars for ambience = 3 star average.

Came in late at night looking for some vegan options of which there were not very many but I still have to give them a great review because they bent over backwards to accommodate me. Very friendly and trying really hard plus the vibe is pretty awesome.
