IHOP is a chain, so I entered with chain restaurant expectations. This food is okay- just what I expected. Not terrible but not great either. But the service is TERRIBLE. Everyone working in the restaurant, from the guy at the front register, to the hostess, to the server, acted as though they would rather be getting an unsedated colonoscopy than actually having to interact (much less be pleasant) to customers. Management really should take a look at their staff and adjust accordingly.

We ate at this location for the first time in about a year and it has gone down hill. It's dirty, food wasn't cooked the way we requested, and service wasn't very good. My husband asked for over medium eggs and they were over easy. It even describes the different way eggs can be cooked in the menu - maybe the cooks should read the menu. I asked for crispy hash browns, but they were only cooked on 1 side and not crispy! We also asked for warm syrup - they used to bring it out warm in a syrup dispenser. Today, she brought it out in a plastic ramekin and it wasn't warm. When we paid our check at the front desk, I noticed how dirty the counter was. That's one of the first things a customer sees in a restaurant, how hard is it to keep clean? Probably won't go back. Where's a Village Inn restaurant when you one?

iHop has a bit of a bad rep for high calories and excessive sodium (!) in its dishes. Careful choices help temper those excesses if this restaurant is a must-visit destination ('cause the grandchildren love their waffles and pancakes). Super friendly, courteous greeting.... (Miss Leah) made us feel right at home. Careful attention to my grandson's order and special attentive service made this morning's visit really special. Menu is extensive...always great for breakfast...but can be a bit pricey. Choose wisely. So, once in a while we'll hop on over for a Belgian Waffle with a ton of whipped cream or Garden Veggie omelette absolutely stuffed with spinach with a side of Harvest Grain & Nut 'cakes and a small dish of fresh fruit. Filling and worth sharing (to cut those cals & salt.) Also...a cup of coffee to go when you're finished eating (or cup of water in grandson's case)--no problem. (Insert Smiley Face here).

So came here for lunch on a Monday, and though the service was ok, it was sort of weird to. The waitress was nice, but when she gets into a weird conversation with a table about how her husband and children are crazy at the holidays and then starts sharing personal stories that should stay personal, it becomes uncomfortable for others around them. I ordered this blue cheese steak meal, and the picture showed a small amount of sauce and blue cheese on a steak over potatoes. Perfect I thought, and the waitress mentioned it was her new favorite meal. What I got was exactly what the picture showed, plus about a pound worth of blue cheese drowning the entire plate. It was so overpowering I had to use the potatoes to scrape off the sauce and the blue cheese to get to the meat. Also, why ask how you want your meat cooked, if you serve the meat so thin it could only be cooked raw or done, theirs no medium in a steak that's less than half an inch thick lol. Now obviously I should have come for the pancakes as that's what I hop is realy known for, but the test of an establishments is if they can cook their entire menu with skill, and especially considering it was the most expansive item on the menu.

Service was good, food was just okay. Omelette came quickly but was only a little warmer than room temperature.

Have always enjoyed eating at IHOP, this one unfortunately didn't live up the the other establishments I have ate at. Ordered the southwest turkey club. Ordered it expecting something with a little kick, being that it had "southwest" in the name. Probably the most bland sand which I have eaten. How do you mess up a turkey club? Cheese was thick and hard, meat dry and tasteless and bread untoasted. Almost to gross to eat. Will not be returning.

I placed a pickup order for one order of French toast and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and paid, and they told me it would be a minute or two more and to wait. No problem.... Until I sat there for 20 minutes. Finally the woman asked me what I ordered and said she'd go check on it. About five minutes later I finally got my order. Clearly they forgot me. It should never have taken that long (50 minutes total... 30 minutes longer than expected) to get one simple order. I could've stopped in the Kroger next door to grab ingredients, driven home and made it myself in that amount of time. It also didn't help that the bananas on my dish were browning (in a rotten kind of way, not because they were caramelized). I won't go back.

So you get seated, they bring your coffee, and you don't have any silverware. Maybe they forgot this one time. I can always stir with my finger. But no creamer, either. So you have to ask. For silverware and creamer. Scrambled eggs with cheese... Cheddar or American? Doesn't matter, they forgot the cheese too. The Kid's Pancake covers half the plate - a small plate. Come on! Spend that extra 12 cents and giv'em a decent pancake! Like Cracker Barrel does. Get with the program, people! You're a PANCAKE restaurant! I've been to other IHOPs that are run much better. I LIKE IHOP. Their crepes are fantastic and overall food is good. But I don't like this one. The servers are rushed and clueless. The restaurant is decorated in 60's decor. The restrooms are littered. Hate to break the news to you, but your restaurant is soon to be a hamburger joint under a different name.

I really wanted this place to be a casual, go-to weekend breakfast place. Unfortunately, the staff is inattentive and sometimes just plain rude. I have been here four times but will not return. The food was ok, but the staff made my visits horrendous. They did not refill drinks, were not friendly, and once your food was served, you would never see your server again...until it was time to give you your check...at which point, the servers were all smiles, hoping for that nice tip. Skip this place and go to the Waffle House across the street.

Nothing special here. Food is typical IHOP fare / quality which isn't very good, but it's tough to mess up a pancake. Place is new, but aging quickly due to the outdated corporate design. Servers are very pleasant and attentive. You know what you're going to get so set your expectations appropriately and you won't be disappointed.

For the love of all that is good, do NOT go here. The service is wretched and the amount of food you receive doesn't match the price. The attitudes of the employees are ridiculous. It's like they have a phobia of tips. Wait time is quite long even when there are hardly any people around. The truth needs to get out about this place so it will soon be replaced by a better, more mature and professional establishment that fits the great people of Franklin, Tennessee. There are more qualified IHOP's in the world. Bring back Camino Real!

Hubby and I visited about a month ago, long enough for their Grand Opening kinks to have gotten worked out. (Not that I know of any, but just in case). Our wait on a Saturday morning at 9 AM was only about 5 minutes, and we were greeted and served quite promptly. It's a standard ihop experience, hot coffee, loads of condiments on the table to choose from, and pancakes. Our experience was pleasant, and most everyone around us seemed to be experiencing the same. Nothing especially significant to report, other than the yelper who was presented a dirty glass, etc. - we didn't see any of that, and I was trying to look around to find a flaw. I enjoyed the multi-grain pancakes variey with granola, very good. Hubby went the opposite spectrum and ordered the cinammon bun pancakes, thankfully with the "goo" on the side. It was a sweet hot mess, but he enjoyed himself. So don't overthink it, go get yourself some pancakes already. They're open.

Well as I said in an earlier comment the service here can be a little spotty. This is one of those visits that you would like to think didn't happen, but it did. After sitting for a while we had a nice young man come and ask us if we've been helped then engaged us to go ahead and take our beverage order. When bringing out our coffee another server just flew when and push them out of the way to take her food order never introducing herself just taking over the table. She must've been back taking a smoke break or doing something else instead of watching her station. Our food was prepared almost as ordered, my wife likes crispy hash browns and that obviously did not get translated correctly to the kitchen (she got hash whites). You can just tell when you're in a restaurant and you have a good server that's engaging making eye contact and not just going through the motions. This is one of those servers just going through the motions. I would not be posting this if I had seen a manager on the floor. We where in the restaurant about 40 minutes and never once saw a manager on the floor and visiting the tables. I just can't understand how restaurant managers feel they can manage the restaurant from the office! You need to be out with the guest see how things are going and making sure they're having a great experience in your restaurant. I wouldn't even have posted this if I had had a manager to talk to. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE!

Don't waste your time. Should have known when I sat down and the waitress brought dirty glasses of ice water this was going to be an experience. The coffee good, everything else gross. Had the bacon omelette-- bacon was raw, eggs undercooked and the whole plate looked like a 10 yr old was learning to cook I the back. Presentation was less than ideal. Slop on a plate... Needless to say.. Great location, great name brand-- horrible cooks and dish washers killing the experience!

The new Franklin location - nice and clean... Servers are trying hard. Coffee great - they give you your own carafe... We have only had breakfast items there. Good food, good prices. Even have Nutella crepes!
