Come here often - always good. Love the Seabass.

The food is always good here, the bang bang shrimp is great. The seafood is always fresh and the best thing on the menu is the Chilean Sea Bass.

Bonefish is one of those chain restaurants that doesn't feel like a chain at all. They di such a good job with the atmosphere, that you really feel like you are in a nice, exclusive restaurant. I always get full before my meal even begins, because of the yummy bread and olive oil. I also usually order a crab cake as well. Talk about goodness! My husband loves the bang bang shrimp there. If you go on Sunday, you can indulge in a tasty brunch and bottomless mimosas :-)

The waiter was great - the Bang Bang shrimp was awesome. I was finally able to take my wife here after moving to the area back in 2012. I haven't been to one in five years or more and I wasn't disappointed. Will definitely be back. BTW, we went on a Wednesday night and the place was packed with a waiting list although we were seated quickly after arriving. It's a popular hotspot so plan accordingly.

Don't know what exactly the cuisine is, some dish like asian, some like french, and bread like italian. BUT THE FOOD IS GREAT. Tuna is fresh, steak tasty. Dirty martini is perfect. Deserts are superb. You have to try the Jamaican coconut pie. I would have try the creme brule, but they don't torch it on the table side because of "fire hazard". Not fun. But we will be back for sure.

Always solid! Bang bang shrimp is a must and calamari is good too. Service is always excellent and prices reasonable.

Came here on a busy Saturday night for dinner (and glad we made reservations!) for my hubby's birthday. Started off with the Bang Bang Shrimp. Hubby had the swordfish and was super impressed with it. Said it was so tender and flaky. I had the ahi tuna Tokyo style, which was amazing. So velvety and smooth. Melt in your mouth. Had to fight my husband for it, who had never had ahi before. Service was awesome. Very attentive wait staff even on a super busy night.

This is still on my top five Franklin restaurants list (Saffire, Red Pony, Stoney River, J. Alexander's, Bonefish Grill, with honorable mention to Cork & Cow). The service has been up and down over the years (currently on a good "up"), but the food is consistently good and we've really enjoyed recent menu changes. The bar is our typical stopping point for a light dinner before a movie on Monday nights. The new remodel is also very nice.

Today we had our Christmas staff luncheon at Bone Fish Grill. I was so excited to go there because I had never been and I LOVE seafood. Unfortunately, it was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. First - the food. Just about everyone of us were unhappy with what we had (with the exception of the two ladies that had a salad - I mean how can you screw up a salad?). The fish and chips were 2 little pieces of fish that were fried so long that you could barely get a knife through them and the side was maybe 15 fries, if that. The lobster bisque was more like tomato soup with a piece of lobster in the middle for garnishment. The bang-bang tacos, well you get three and the tacos are smaller than a kiddie taco. Without the side of couscous we would have left hungry...we'll have to go out to lunch again in two hours because it just wasn't enough food. Seriously, the taco was probably 3 inches long (if that) and 2 inches high. Second - the service. Our poor server. He was a nice guy but he was swimming in the weeds! There were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant. We were all thirsty and had to go to the hostess to ask her to get our server. Hey hostess, just a suggestion, when you see such a debacle going on, why don't you offer to get us something to drink? After all she wasn't doing anything but standing there. The server dropped off our food and never came back to check on our table. One of us got an appetizer and let me tell you, the meals we got were like appetizers so the appetizer was so small it wasn't enough. She wanted to order a salad but ended up getting it to go because it was 20 minutes before we could get anyone to our table. (And trust me, I'm not exaggerating - it may have been even longer than that!) Finally, our waiter came back and he brought a couple of us drinks but the others had to wait another 5 minutes to get their drinks. Third - the manager. We had to ask for him twice and it took 15 minutes to get him to our table. We'd already paid our checks and I didn't even think he was going to come! When he did come he didn't come across very sincere in his apology at all; just kind of like, sorry you had a bad experience. He did manage to tell us that "our people should never tell you we're short staffed." Well what else could the waiter say? My husband is in the restaurant business and he would have bent over backwards to say he was sorry, offer dessert or something. This guy just said I hope you will come back again. Really? That was my first time there and my last. I will say only one positive thing - our server, to his credit, came back to the table and apologized profusely. A trait his manager could learn. As I told him - it wasn't his fault. He tried. It was just too much to have 2 people to cover a whole restaurant. I know people call off, don't come in, my husband has had that happen...then he gets bus boys out on the floor, hostesses getting drinks, whatever it takes. Clearly, this Bone Fish doesn't have a clue about how to get it done when you are short-staffed. Sorry Bone Fish - you blew it today.

My third visit. Got there by 4:30pm. By 5pm, the place was filled and there was a line waiting on tables. I ordered the kobe beef burger and fries, friend ordered the lobster bisque, Lily's chicken and cream brulee. The french fries are no where as good as Five Guys, Riverside Grill or even Bobbie's Dairy Dip. They are limp and tasteless. Burger was decent. I had bacon added to it. I would maybe order it again, minus the fries. I tasted the lobster bisque and it was really good at first. But as the temperature cooled, it wasn't all that tasty.. Friend enjoyed his chicken and the cream brulee was overly, overly, overly sweet. Overall, this place is mediocre. And ironically, I'll be returning next week for a dinner party.

Ok service; Conciliatory but unenthusiastic. Food however was wholly unsatisfying. Everything seemed to be oversauced and overseasoned as if they were hiding the fish from our tastebuds. Nothing original here. It's the PF Chang's of seafood restaurants.

This restaurant was our regular birthday dinner location for years, due to the consistently good food it offers. The bread is excellent, the Bang Bang shrimp is a classic, and the twin lobster tails made a great dinner for two...they are actually some of the best lobster dishes you can get in middle TN. However, given the recent explosion of restaurants in the Brentwood and Nashville area, it might be worthwhile to explore a bit more for more creative dishes. Bonefish Grill will serve you the standard fish, vegetable, starch combination and do it well, and their lobster is among the best in the area, but don't expect anything out of the box or particularly creative.

The new decor is attractive and the restaurant is nicely intimate. Even with a full house, the volume level was comfortable. The food was excellent and our waitress and the manager worked closely with me to make sure my choices were allergy-safe. We will definitely return!

Always good. Bonefish martini, salmon with lemon butter sauce and potatoes au gratin never disappoint! It's nice that this Bonefish takes reservations too.

I like this place for lean, healthy meal--fish and some vegetables. Good brunch selections, too. Nice formal dining. I go on off times, so don't know how they do when they're busy.

This has always been one if our favorite restaurants. While I've never written a review of Bonefish, tonight was a very low rated visit. Food was good but service was the worst. I won't go on and on about the underperformance of Ke*** our waiter. Slow, forgetful and all other negatives without any apology or attempt to salvage a fair tip. Will we visit again? Yes. The food is always good and lots of "pretty" to watch.

  • Sean S.

Really, really disappointing. The music was obnoxious and too loud, and didn't fit the atmosphere. Don't play garbage top 40 music but especially not in what you hope to convince people is a "fine dining" establishment. The food was mediocre at best.the real problem was our service. It was laughable.

This was our first time at Bonefish. The service was excellent, the food was amazing and there was no wait. We did go on a Sunday. My husband had the Shrimp and Scallops with mango salsa. I had the Baja fish tacos. There seafood is very fresh. This is the first restaurant I have been to in Middle Tennessee since we moved from Ca with fresh seafood. We will make this our after church place.

My sister and I were out fooling around and realized we had become hangry. We hadn't eaten since breakfast. We decided to eat at the first place we saw. Boom....Bonefish was in our line of sight. Parking was easy because the parking gods were with us. Seated quickly in a nice booth with a wondeful view of the rest of the restaurant. Then the waitstaff began to take care of us. Our main server was Johnny on the spot. First with our drinks. My Hendricks dirty martini and my sister's wine. Our app came out lickity split and was delish. Our entrees and desserts were just as delish. Great experience. Will be back. Especially if the parking gods are with us. Yummy place.

This is exactly how big chains can go exactly wrong. They formulate food into awfulness. Let's start with the prices because they are the first thing you notice when you go into the restaurant. The cheapest thing on the menu is the "kobe" beef burger $12.5. Anything you add to it is a la carte. We ordered two burgers and the "Kung pao" shrimp "udon." I'm using quotations incorrectly to indicate where my laughter starts and ends when I think about what the word really means and what we got. The burger is a tasteless pre-made patty. The bun was from last week and it was not put together correctly with a skin-thin slice of pickle and a quarter of an onion. Why did we just pay 25$ for two burgers again? Because, honestly, we forgot how bad this place really is. Now, let's chat about the Kung pao shrimp. This is where good Asian food comes to die. Also, if you put something in the menu for 13$, don't you dare open up a packaged sauce and pour it on my plate. Of course, that's exactly what happened. The sauce had enough sodium and MSG to make an elephant thirsty for a week. I still have a headache. The "udon" noodles were the instant kind that are about .4$ at Kroger and are made out of corn starch instead of rice and go mush in your mouth like baby food. The shrimp were just Bang Bang shrimp soaked in the Kung pao sauce. Listen, y'all, I'm begging you. STOP GOING TO CHAINS LIKE THIS. They are genuinely horrible tasting and bad for you. It's just overpriced food dressed up to look nice.

Last year, I took my wife to Bonefish for her birthday. She liked it so much, we came back again this year, and as before, it was outstanding! We started with the bacon-wrapped scallops. The bacon imparted a nice flavor to the scallops, which still melted in our mouths. For dinner, she ordered the swordfish special, while I ordered the gulf grouper. We both left convinced that we'd each made the perfect choice. Maybe we'll have to come back when it's not her birthday.

This place is fantastic for a good brunch although the service is hit or miss. My wife loves the creme brulee french toast. I wish they would bring back the shrimp and grits but the bang bang shrimp tacos are pretty good!

Great fish place. Try the bang bang shrimp. They have a great Chilean Sea Bass which is hard to find any place.

For some reason I had high expectations. The place was packed on a Wednesday night, which according to the bartender, was unusual. My bartender/server(I ate at the bar) was awesome. He was quick to ask my name and introduced me to the other bar staff. He was also very attentive. The food, however, was not delicious. I ordered the $18 salmon and it wasn't very fresh. I could smell that fishy smell the minute it was set down. For that reason, I give it a 2 star. I like fresh salmon and this was not even close. I would not go back.

This is only the second negative review I have ever posted. Bonefish continues to show mediocrity in their service and food and yesterday's meal was no exception. The menu looks great and makes you think they know what they are doing but when the food arrives you realize the effort was minimal. I tried the fish and chips because I wanted to know how they compare to others in town. The grease seemed old and bitter and this morning the inside of my mouth is red and raw. We tried the lobster bisque and it was flat and seemed old. How can you make mediocre lobster bisque? The whole experience was a disappointment.

  • Charles S.

My first experience at Bonefish was thoroughly underwhelming. It was that way from the beginning, as there was a negligible waiting area, so patiently waiting patrons were forced to crowd into one small area directly in front of the bar. Also, we had to ask our server his name, who seemed seriously perturbed that we did. He was inattentive and slow to fulfill orders, forgetting one glass of wine and bringing another out extremely late, in a glass whose lack of cleanliness would not have escaped a professional server. Food was good, especially the Filet Thermidor special, but didn't make up for the poor service. I likely won't ever choose to return to pay such a high price when compared to the lackluster experience.

This is my second visit and once again I experienced a great meal. We started with the bang bang shrimp which is absolutely fantastic. For entree I had the Chilean Sea Bass which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Atlantic salmon and we both commented how much tastier it was compared to other places who serve salmon. I am sure the seafood is completely fresh at Bonefish and will certainly be high up on my list of places to dine out.

My aunt introduced me to Bonefish's Bang Bang shrimp. I got the Bang Bang shrimp tacos and she got the mussel appetizer (which is a great portion) and I was in heaven. Everything tasted so good. Our waiter was super nice and friendly (and cute which is a plus) Nothing but good things to say about Bonefish Grill! :)

We had a reservation for 8pm. We arrived at 7:55 and the hostess gave us a beeper. We waited over 30 minutes and watched as walk-ins were seated right away. If you don't honor your reservations, don't effing take them. The shrimp were cold and the skins and tails were still on them under the breading! The scallops were tough and the asperagus were mushy. The only reason this review is getting 2 stars is because the key lime pie was really good.

I can't believe I'm actually writing a review on this sort of establishment, but that's what happens when you move from the land of chain wallets (East Nashville) to the land of chain restaurants (Cool Springs). This Bonefish is like every other Bonefish. On Wednesdays you can get Bang Bang Shrimp for 5 bucks, and all the divorcees you can shake a stick at. Stop judging. When you're either paying alimony or trying to live off alimony you just don't have that much cash.

  • Oscar B.

I've probably been to the Cool Springs Bonefish Grill a dozen or more times now and am yet to have a bad meal or experience there. The food is always on point and the service excellent. Their calamari could very well be the best I've ever tasted. I must get it as an appetizer every time I go. Bonefish is definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. While not exactly cheap, between the quality of the food and the ambience you'd swear you were at a much pricier restaurant.

This is my fav chain seafood restaurant! Their fish is amazing and I am not a fish fan at all. They have great service and while the prices can be a bit painful, it's well worth the price. If you like mixed drinks, I suggest their Hypnotiq Breeze Martini, it is very tasty!

Very good food as always. Bang Bang shrimp only $5 on Wed.. I had the Longfin Tilapia Imperial. It was stuffed with shrimp, crab and scallops. It had a couple cheeses and was cooked perfectly. The Pumpkin Creme Brulee was excellent. Alicia W. was a very good and friendly server. we never ran out of drinks, The food came out in a timely manner.

The first time I went here --I sat at the bar and waned to enjoy happy hour---it wasn't that awesome for food on happy hour---(i am not a shrimp person or I guess the bam bam shrimp would be popular).....the atmosphere and martini drinks were great---but i guess i was expecting more munchies for cheaper just for a little after work snack... I went back for dinner because we had a crowd that wanted to go and boy am i glad i got to actually eat an entire meal there---service was marvelous and the food was terrific and drinks were top-notch..... Advice sit at the bar for happy hour if you want but go ahead and treat yourself to dinner share with a friend if you must...if you just are looking for "cheap" happy hour probably not the best choice

Great food , great service... I got here about 5pm on a Wed. and the dinning room filled up quickly ( I had no reservations). Definitely worth coming back!!! I would have given 5 stars but they sat an under 2 yo child next to me ( the only one in the whole restaurant)....

Ate at the bar one evening while traveling for dinner. Normally I would rate BF with 4 stars, however, taking back one star for this experience. Service at the bar was very good. One reason I usually grab a seat there especially while traveling and eating solo. The bartender is usually right there and can catch their attention very easily. I started with the wedge salad. Good, however, I never like a salad which comes out on a freezing cold plate. Although it may not have, always makes me feel like the salads were premade and sitting in a freezer. For entre had the ahi tuna Tokyo style - very good! Prepared seared rare - just how I like it. My entre came out 30 seconds after my wedge salad. IMO need to provide at least 5 minutes in between the two.

My husband and I had a friend come in town last night and we had grand plans to take him to Martin's BBQ in Nolensville. But because of the horrible weather we decided to stick around Cool Spings because it was less than a mile from his hotel. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and we were promptly seated. I ordered the Macadamia Nut Brownie. It's gluten free and fabulous!!! My husband and our friend shared an appetizer that wasn't gluten free so that's when I had the dessert. :) I had a chicken dish that was great. The chicken was a little tough, but overall the artichokes, spinach and goat cheese on top added great flavor. Bonefish is nothing special, but a decent choice in a sea of chain restaurants.

If we hadn't received a gift card for Bonefish Grill, we probably would've gone our entire lives without ever stepping foot in this restaurant. Not being a big chain restaurant fan, I had my doubts on how it would be, but I was very pleased with the meal we had there. Calamari is our go to appetizer no matter where we go, and it was delicious at Bonefish; a caesar salad & house salad (KALAMATA OLIVES!!!); mahi mahi with spaghetti squash & broccoli; 11 oz sirloin with whipped garlic mashed potatoes. It was all very scrumptious & about $50 for the two of us, which is very reasonable.

Good food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere's packed out! Recommend calling first! Bar area constantly crowded so I don't recommend sitting in a booth by the bar if your trying to create some romance. Defiantly good for groups, more of an adult setting if you ask me. Food is excellent!! The Bang bang Shrimp is really good and like my fellow yelpers I have yet to eat something there that i didn't like.

2 stars for food, but the service bumps em to 3. Went here the weekend after Valentine's Day and I guess there's quite a few other cheap bastards like myself that didn't wanna deal with Valentine's crowds and put the celebration off to the weekend.... Fortunately Bonefish handled it well. Service was on point. Positive: +Service. Waitress wasn't in a rush, took the time to explain ALL the specials, manager greeted us as well (nice touch), and the order was brought out promptly. +Moscato. Made the wife happy. Always a good thing. In between: +/-Calamari. Not bad. +/-Butter served with the Lobster tails is whole butter, not clarified. Personally, I dig that since it still has some salt, but I also see it as taking a half-ass shortcut Negative: -Seared tuna appetizer. Horrible. Seared outside and red inside is what I expect, but I dont expect the middle to still be literally frozen solid. What the fuck is this sauce. That sure as fuck wasn't on the menu. Tuna is the beef of the sea. It doesn't need any fucking sauces. -Lobster tails. Could you find any smaller ones? It's been a while since I've spent this much on a meal and left hungry. Bottom Line: I may try again, but not anytime soon. P.S. Bang Bang Shrimp are overrated.

I've been to Bonefish twice, and have yet to taste something that I don't like! All of the meals are so inventive, and delicious. APPS - We've had the Bang Bang Shrimp, and if you're not watching your waistline, it's a must-try. My husband had the Ahi Tuna Sashimi, and loved it! ENTREES - My husband got the Orange Roughy recently and really enjoyed it - says it wasn't too fishy, and the flavor was great. My mom-in-law had the cedar planked Salmon topped with chorizo, and couldn't stop raving about it. I got the asparagus and Salmon salad (but subbed for shrimp), and it was awesome and totally healthy. My Dad-in-law got (and I had it last time) the Kobe burger, and it was in my top 10 Nashville burgers. :) My husband also enjoyed that there are FOUR different diping sauces for your entree / fish. He usually gets all four. DESSERT - Key Lime Pie and Macadamia Nut Brownie...no words. ADULT BEV - Happy hour wines are CHEAP! Love that.... But my fav cocktail from Bonefish is their ESPRESSO MARTINI.... unreal. We'll be back. For sure.

What gives... How hard should it be... I reviewed the menu and made online reservations on a Friday Night. 6:30... Crowded, but online must have worked. Only waited about 5 minutes. My friend (and client) from Hawaii and I had dinner. His significant other did not feel well and bailed. Turns out that might have been best. I hate to take someone out to try and give them a good taste of the town, but I can now think of several dozens of choices that would have been better. The waiter was cordial, but not overly excited to be there apparently. (Downer)... My client said he really eats mostly fish, so I decided here even though the only experience I had in 6 years was not good, but it had been over 5 years since my last visit. (Fingers crossed)... The best thing about the food was the pictures on the menu of it. The Calamari Appetizer was pretty darn good, especially the sauce. He ordered the Opah Special with Crab Meat on top... Said it was good enough, but not enthusiastic. Not sure how he really felt, but seemed to just wanting to be nice about it. On the other hand, I got the Shrimp and Scallop Firepot which called for Grillled Rustic Vegetables, Roasted Potatoes, Jumbo Shrimp and Scallops. (And apparently Toasted Bread.) I got a very lean bowl with 2 Shrimp, 2 Scallops 2 Pieces of Soggy Bread floating down in the overly abundant sauce (that I thought were the potatoes) and a lot of Big hunks of Red Peppers. Period.... No Potatoes !, and Gross soggy bread, and no vegetables, and according to the picture on the web site, a less than promised amount of shrimp and scallops. When the waiter (finally) came back by the table, I asked had I gotten the right meal?? He said yes, so I asked about the potatoes and he said he could go talk to the kitchen if I wanted. Knowing it would be 15 minutes before that could happen, I brushed it off, ate my 2 shrimp and 2 scallops, and left a pile of soggy bread and red peppers. For the $75 I could have had Captain D's 10 times and been happier every time. Get it together, or close the doors. Sorry to my client. Next time... J Alexander's, Stoney River, or Even Red Lobster will always win. 2 visits in 6 years, both very forgettable. Too bad, it is a very nice looking place. Hire and pay some real chef talent in that kitchen if you want to charge those prices and have return customers. Our Motto.. "At Bonefish Grille, some things never change." What a shame.

One of the better seafood restaurants around in the Cool Springs area (and surprisingly, for a chain restaurant). Overall, very consistent quality of food and drinks. Good assortment of beer, wine and cocktails. Great variety of appetizers and desserts. If spicy is your thing, check out the bang bang shrimp appetizer. The calamari is tasty. Bonefish does a good job of rotating some new special items on their menu --which can be a hit or miss. So be aware of that, and if you are not adventurous, just stick to their regular menu. That jamaican coconut rum pie was heavenly (limited time only)!! Nice atmosphere, can be loud and feel crowded on most days. Also usually a line for dinner. Service is mixed --varies by waiters/waitresses.

Thankfully my husband and I are rock stars when it comes to Dirty Santa gift exchanges. Just sayin'. Both this year and last we scored Bonefish Grill gift cards. Uh, heck yes! I cannot remember exactly what we both ordered last year, but I remember it being amazing. I DO remember the bananas foster dessert we devoured...that was an experience. Well, we went the other night as a "date" and ordered something different from last time. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp this time and wondered why we didn't get it last year??! A-mazing! Oh, and apparently on Wednesday nights they have it for $5. I ordered the Norwegian Salmon with Mango Salsa and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The seasonal vegetable was spaghetti squash. My meal was delicious. Every bite. My husband got the Tempura Batter Fish n' Chips and he was very satisfied. I ordered their Pomegranate Sangria and it was SOOO good. Everything was perfect and tasty. I feel like at some restaurants you end up liking a couple things, but everything I was served was VERY good. We had a bit of a wait, but it was a Friday night and Christmas shopping season... Our service was excellent and very speedy. We'll definitely be returning to Bonefish Grill even sans gift card!

No bones in the fish despite the name. The restaurant was a little dark to mesh with the loud, upbeat music but that's being picky. Ahi Tuna Tokyo style is recommended but I would pass on the Chowder.

The service was great but the food was not good. the trout I got was smothered in an overpowering & greasy butter sauce that made the encrusted pecans & parmesan soggy and tasteless. My husband got chicken with goat cheese & steamed spinach - the spinach was steamed too much so it had lost the flavor and wasn't able to balance out the goat cheese - and the amount of goat cheese on the plate was too much so that it again overpowered the rest of the dish. It was a very disappointing meal.

Full Disclosure: my fiancee and I both love Bonefish Grill. So naturally, when we found ourselves traveling out to Cool Springs one evening, we decided to dine at Bonefish. When we arrived, it was 8 o'clock on a Friday, so we understood a 15-20 minute wait. We sat at a tabletop at the bar and were promptly offered a drink by the bartender. By the time he made it back with our waters, we were being escorted to our table ~~ POSITIVE When we sat down at our table, our waiter came by and took our drink and appetizer order. My fiancee's coke came in 5 minutes, but my wine took at least 15 minutes ~~ NEGATIVE We looked at the menu and discussed the Ocean Mixed Grill special they were running. I like crustaceans, while my fiancee only likes fish. I misunderstood the special thinking we had a choice of one or two of the entree choices, but the waiter promptly corrected me that the special came with all five options, two sides and two salads for $19.90/person. We decided on the special, but with the sauces on the side. When asked what salad we would like, we were told to "choose between the top three salads on the left" and both decided on the Spinach salad without bacon ~~ NEUTRAL After about 10 minutes, the bread came. Love their bread ~~ POSITIVE 5 minutes later, the salads came. They were very tasty, and we both enjoyed them ~~ POSITIVE 20 minutes later, the food came. It was cold. All things considered, it was a lot of food and was tasty ~~ SOMEWHAT POSITIVE The sauces were not on the side as requested. We waited for the waiter, but he was MIA for about 10 minutes. I finally flagged down a different waitress and asked her to send over our waiter. When our waiter FINALLY arrived, he immediately noticed the sauces and offered to have another dish prepared. After waiting 35 minutes for the first one, we just asked for extra sauces to be delivered ~~ POSITIVE for his recognizing the mistake, NEGATIVE for incorrectly prepared dish and delay in service When we had finished our meals, I asked for the check. The check came and I immediately noticed two separate $2 charges that appeared erroneous. After bringing this to the attention of the waiter, he proceed to explain that the Spinach salad resulted in a $2 surcharge PER SALAD that was never fully disclosed, neither verbally nor written. I disputed the charge out of principle, arguing that both of us wouldn't have ordered the same salad for an additional $4 if we knew there would be an up-charge. The waiter took the bill back to the kitchen, found the manager, explained our situation, ran to grab a menu, finished the conversation with the manager, and then returned to the table. He explained to me that the Spinach salad is clearly marked on the menu with a higher price ($6.3 or $4.3 with entree) than the Caesar and House salads ($5.3 or $3.1 with entree). Regardless of the fact that the waiter misled us when placing our order, prompting us to "choose between the top three salads", I responded the Spinach salad never referenced a $2 surcharge, as the menu lists a price difference of $1 a la carte, or $1.2 with entree. The waiter's response to this was essentially "tough shit" ~~ HUGE NEGATIVE Now, I'm not a picky patron and I understand restaurants have their policies, but I protested the surcharges out of principle, not for the sake of being cheap. My fiancee and I had a great meal leading up to the bill and had moved on from the sauce mixup and service delay, but the waiter's reluctance to accommodate/compromise left a sour taste in our mouth and his tip suffered as a result. I doubt if any non-chain restaurant could succeed on such practices, and I will be more reluctant to support this chain the next time I am in the area. Not to say I refuse to return to Bonefish, but it certainly won't be at the top of our list in the future.

Normally I wouldn't take time to review a restaurant in such a large chain, but I was mildly pleasantly surprised by Bonefish. Went with my boyfriend's family on New Year's eve for a late dinner. I'm a vegetarian and he doesn't eat fish so we'd kind of fallen into going due to lack of planning. The table ordered a few appetizers which all seemed pleasant, the edmame was nicely cooked and salted, although the menu did state roasted, and there was no evidence as such. I ordered the house salad and added feta, it was nice, however the feta tasted a little old, and for an extra $1.50, I feel like it could have been better. My boyfriend ordered the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine, and it was excellent, the sauce was a little thin, but it had lots of vegetables and flavor. The service was alright, the waiter managed to get everything to the table, just not really in any apparent order. I ordered a drink long after other guests and received mine first. He also brought the entrees out two by two for a table of six. I try to avoid chains like this, but if I were ever in a bind, I'd go back to Bonefish.

How often do you find a chain restaurant that is consistently delicious? Never? Well, you just can't argue with Bang Bang Shrimp and perfectly prepared fresh fish. Skip the salad so you can have dessert.

Landlocked...and I'm all in. I spent hunerd dollar or more...don't meremeber...but I liked liked liked this place a lot. Okay, it's a mall bar on the outside, but when you get in the hut...it's all whut! Go dammit. Go all the way. Snooty waitress but hey...that's what it takes to shake my bake. The food was fantastic. The dessert...oh my my. The drinks...I reckon they worked too. Go.

The bang bang shrimp was pretty damn tasty and had a good kick to it. We also had the coconut shrimp and crab cakes. Service was excellent, never an empty glass no matter what anyone was drinking. I've been on an asparagus kick lately so I ordered a dish with asparagus, shrimp, scallops and some other tasty veggies. I'm usually not able to finish all of my food, but the portion size here was perfect. There were 7 of us and everyone was happy with their food.

I am a fan of the Bonefish. Seafood restaurants are hard to come by in Nashville and although this is a chain, they have great food. The bang bang shrimp is one of their signature appetizers that I always order. The sesame encrusted sashimi tuna app my friends and family like. I usually order grouper or seabass. Maybe 1 out of 10 times I order fish it wont be spectacular here. The dining room is dimly lit and generally full on Thur-Sat night. It is good for a chain and I enjoy my visits.

This place is fantastic for a good brunch although the service is hit or miss. My wife loves the creme brulee french toast. I wish they would bring back the shrimp and grits but the bang bang shrimp tacos are pretty good!

  • Kendrick P.

For sure.

This is my fav chain seafood restaurant! Their fish is amazing and I am not a fish fan at all. They have great service and while the prices can be a bit painful, it's well worth the price. If you like mixed drinks, I suggest their Hypnotiq Breeze Martini, it is very tasty!

  • EmilyGrace J.

I tried trout for the first time and I loved it. The restaurant offered more than one sauce so I tried it with the lemon butter, mango salsa and pesto sauce. It was served with sautéed snap peas and garlic mashed potatoes. It was a delicious light meal.

I absolutely love bonefish grills! I worked at another location in TN and every time I visit this location the food always lets me down. The service is wonderful and they are timely, the managers always pop by, and the staff is always friendly. The entrees are usually over or undercooked and the sides are rarely fresh. The appetizers, drinks, and desserts are the spot on though. I'll still go back and give them another chance.

Bonefish is open for lunch now but this is a dinner spot in my heart. Even though it's a chain, it feels special. They have an awesome wine and drink list and delicious food. When we come on the weekends it is always packed which adds to the atmosphere. They also keep the lights in the dining room low and it feels intimate. We've never had a bad meal. I love the salads, bang bang shrimp, and grouper.

Ok service; Conciliatory but unenthusiastic. Food however was wholly unsatisfying. Everything seemed to be oversauced and overseasoned as if they were hiding the fish from our tastebuds. Nothing original here. It's the PF Chang's of seafood restaurants.

We were there at happy hour, with specialty martinis at $4.50. My plain martini was $6.50--NORMALLY $13.00?? You've got to be kidding!!! Love the food, but don't order anything that doesn't have a price on the menu. You will be surprised!! We won't go back.

Great food , great service... I got here about 5pm on a Wed. and the dinning room filled up quickly ( I had no reservations). Definitely worth coming back!!! I would have given 5 stars but they sat an under 2 yo child next to me ( the only one in the whole restaurant)....

For sure.

We were there at happy hour, with specialty martinis at $4.50. My plain martini was $6.50--NORMALLY $13.00?? You've got to be kidding!!! Love the food, but don't order anything that doesn't have a price on the menu. You will be surprised!! We won't go back.
