My husband and I tried this out the other night and we enjoyed it. Service was good. We sat on the sushi side (Madison Ave Bistro) but we were able to order hibachi as well. My glass of wine was a large portion. The prices seemed right in line with other hibachi restaurants but I did think it was odd that you had to pay extra for fried rice. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely try it again. The bar also looked very nice so I'm sure we'll check that out another time.

So... My husband and family decided to grab some Japanese steakhouse, and had only ever been to the Wilma Rudolph location, which we love and have always had great experiences at. We live in Sango now, and decided to try out the closer location. The atmosphere is similar to Wilma Rudolph and it looks nice, so we all sat down at a table around the grill. We all ordered our drinks, and while we were waiting, a big, fat juicy ROACH crawled right up out of the grill (yes, out of the grill...) right in front of my brother. Needless to say, we left immediately and went to the Wilma Rudolph Hananoki. Bummed, but what can you do?

Really gone down in quality. The first few years this place was open it was delicious. I ate there recently and the food quality has really gone down. Absolutely not worth the price. Go to Shogun by the mall instead

The worst management ever! The bad management trickles down to the service. Bottom line, mediocre food, slow service, high price. Stay away!!

My friend and I just left the restaurant and I have some things to say. First, the surroundings are nice. It is very warm and cozy inside and unlike other Japanese hibachi-style restaurants. The waiter was very nice and quick with our service, so no complaints there. Ok, on to the most important thing... I don't know if this is because of the other Japanese restaurants I have eaten in or what, but the food left a lot to be desired. The soup was too peppery, the salad dressing was too watery (I am used to a creamy dressing), and the dipping sauces were horseradish and "the brown sauce." WHAT!! No creamy dressing-type dipping sauce??? That is my favorite part about Japanese hibachi-style food. After the sauce disaster, their only saving grace was the Chateau Briand (Kobe style steak). I ordered mine medium, and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The rice was just ho-hum, mainly because I didn't have the aforementioned sauce to pour over the top of it! The price was $34.50 including tip for one person, so it is on the expensive side. I say, Go and try it once and see for yourself. I will be going to Shoguns by the mall from now on!

I wish I would have taken a picture of our sashimi plate just to prove to you how gross and undesirable the food is here. They essentially shredded a whole raw beet and then threw a couple of thickly sliced sashimi pieces on top of the beets. Now, why in the hell would they choose beets instead of japanese radish? It stained the fish and it made it taste like... you guessed it, a BEET! Just absolutely terrible, It was basically thrown on the plate and whoever prepared our food obviously hates their job. The best thing about Japanese food is that it LOOKS good and TASTES good. Unfortunately we did not get a meal that suited our tastes. Don't waste your money here.

My husband and I LOVE this location. The sushi is better than several of the local joints in town and the wait staff has always been wonderful. I have a lot of food allergies, so accurate orders and attention to detail are crucial! Each time we have eaten here they have taken great care of us and we have not been disappointed. I would recommend this location to anyone!
