Pretty good Mexican Restaurant in Clarksville. I went there for lunch with a friend. Located in a small strip mall. Plenty of parking and seating. There were booths as well as tables. I had the huevos con chorizo(eggs with sausage). It also came with tortilla wraps and beans. Pretty good serving size too. My friend had a soup that came in a huge bowl. Nachos and Salsa were also served with the meal. Total bill with tip included was $20. That's a hard bargain to beat. The service was good too. Attentive and polite. I will be back when I am in the area again.

This place is pretty decent. Came here for the AFC championship game and sat at the bar watching the Colts get spanked by the Pats. They have chips and salsa. You have to ask for the spicier green one if you want it. It's still not that spicy, but they have a habanero sauce you can add that gives it a little kick. We started off with queso...the one with chorizo and pico mixed in. It was pretty watery, but it had a great flavor. Then since we were very hungry we split the mixed fajitas. It's chicken, steak, and shrimp. The fajitas were so yummy. Guac, queso, salsa...yum!! My only complaint is that I wish they would used bagged tortillas. Wish they were homemade. Definitely will be back here to try other stuff! Oh, they have huge beers for really cheap.

You know how at some Mexican restaurants, it seems like every dish is the same exact seasonings and ingredients in different shapes? El Comal is not like that. Each dish has a unique taste, and it's a great value for the money. They have a Saturday margarita special as well that is delicious and cheap!

Not a huge fan. The service was okay, but the food itself was nothing to be crazy about. It was just under subpar, and one of my least favorite Mexican places. The salsa that comes with your chips was not as thick in substamce, my enchiladas were wrapped in what looked like fake tortillas, and my refried beans were God awful. Also, this restaurant made me feel like poop....

Not real Mexican food. Everything taste like it comes from a jar to include the salsa. Service was wonderful. Clean establishment.

I really enjoyed the food. Being from California it's really hard to find good Mexican restaurants.

For a $5 lunch special, I guess you could say this was good. Compared to the Mexican restaurants I've been to I'm not impressed.

This place is absolutely wonderful! Cheap cheap prices for fantastically prepared & presented authentic Mexican food. Chips and salsa-perfect consistency and spice in the salsa (they serve a hot verde salsa along with the regular salsa that is very flavorful as well, if you like spicier foods), plus the chips were warm and not greasy at all! Everything we have tried on the menu has been perfect. Even the rice & beans that are a staple at every Mexican restaurant were above and beyond. They have daily lunch specials (you can get fajitas & a drink for 7 bucks on Fridays!) that are great deals, although none of their menu items are expensive anyway. The service is great, the entire staff is very friendly (and fluent in English as well!), the restaurant is super clean, service is fantastic...there is seriously nothing bad I can say about this establishment. Best Mexican restaurant in Clarksville by leaps and bounds (and we've tried most, if not all of them).

One of the few non-nationwide chains on Wilma Rudolph. Split a $16 frozen margarita pitcher and feel great for the rest of the day! The prices are already so reasonable and they still manage to offer a military discount and have coupons on their website. Service is very fast and food is consistently good.

Had a pork chimichanga (pork was not listed on the menu for the chimichanga) but they made it And it was great. Light cheese sauce over top and had peppers inside as well. Also a 32oz XX Dos Equis beer on Tap for a little over $4 Cannot be beat Will go back again for sure. Fast service too

Very disappointing. The food was average. I got a giant margarita, as I always do, it was awful. I couldn't drink it. That was a first for me. They were gracious and let me order something else. The service was great!

Best Mexican restaurant in Clarksville, hands down. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I have only been here two times and will not go to any other Mexican place but this one for now on.

This place is one of my go-to spots for meeting friends. The food goes from average to really good depending on what you order and who is cooking. The fresh guacamolie is off the chain and they can get you rocking with their margaritas and beer specials.

YUCK... horrible service and bland food. I ordered Tamales.... which was just some sort of steamed piece of masa and some chili thrown on top!! it looked horrible and tasted even worse!! the enchiladas that my husband ordered were sloppy and lacked any flavor at all. will never eat here again.

Went in with a party of 7 after my nephew's graduation for dinner. The service was friendly and quick, but we had mixed reviews about the food. Our chimichangas and the chips and salsa were decent, but not the best to be had. The people who ordered the mixed fajitas were pleased and their food was definitely plentiful and tasty from the bites I was able to sneak!

Great prices and service. The food is good. Not the best I have ever had but still pretty tasty. I would definitely come back. The lunch specials are a fantastic deal and the prices are low.

So so Mexican food. Fajitas were very greasy. Guacamole tasted great. Salsa was ok, and you always get a feel of Mexican place by their salsa.

Used to dine here at least weekly, sometimes twice a week. Great food. Unreliable service. Too bad. With so many restaurants in Clarksville, it was easy to find another favorite close by! Just not worth the stress with such limited parking, limited seating and frequent bad service.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
