Love the hot dogs here! I have tried them all as a "Chicago style" dog was new to me until visiting the South. (I am a SoCal girl with a vacation home here in Clarksville) The Chi-Town all-beef chili-cheese dog with onion is my favorite, but they all are excellent! Such a convenient drive thru location, great service with a smile and a couple Tootsie Roll minis thrown in for a sweet end to a great meal! Yum!

We always heard about this place but just had it bookmarked. Well we were driving by and decided to give it a try. It is behind the Dairy Queen by the river. Service was great and prepared fast. Great Chicago style Italian beef sandwich and hot dogs. The Italian beef sandwich is ginormous and filled with juice loaded with beef and toppings. Check out my pic. However, I just want digging the meat it tasted like the kind we bought at SAMs Club. Was not anywhere as good as the Italian beef you get in Chicago at known places like Portillos Hot Dogs. They offer some sides, drinks, and ice cream/foot beer float. We didn't get any because they were out.

I am from Chicago and these are real Chicago hot dogs and buns. My wife and I come here all the time. It's set back off of Riverside Drive next to Big Lots. 4 Hotdogs and drinks around $16.

Best Hot Dogs Ever! It's not the cheap stuff you get from the grocery store, they use high quality meat and their buns are always fresh. Must Eat Here at least once. It looks shady because of the location next to Big Lots but they are extremely clean, last time I was as there they scored 100 on their health inspection. Super nice people. Drive up or walk up to window, outside seating only

Having lived in Chicago for a few years I became a huge fan of Chicago hot dogs and was upset when my job had me leave the Chicago area. Many years later and many moves due to my Chicago husbands army career I ended up in Clarksville and we found this gem soon after they opened. This is an amazing place. With the owners being from Chicago they know the true meaning of the "dog". It's a hidden gem and a must go to for the real thing.

It is a little hard to find. Top votes for chi-town dog with the works, the beef dip is where it's at!

Murica needs more hot dog places. There's hamburger restaurants out the wazoo. I remember when this place first opened up many years ago. Chi-Town is definitely Clarksville's hidden gem. I'm very picky when it comes to hot dogs. None of that turkey/pork/chicken combo for me! They've got good portioned hot dogs and fresh toppings. I've never had a bad experience. Glad to see they're still open after so long.

Been eating at Chi Town for over 10 years. It is the real deal. I grew up in Chicago. Had my first Chi dog in 1964 when I was 15 years old. I know the real Vienna Sausage product when I eat it. The owners are from Chi too. The only neg is they don't serve fries. But they have service down, the drive through is super fast. Getting hungry for a dog writing this review! Harold.

Polish Dog with the works, once again delicious... The owners are so sweet. Appreciate their great service. And they put tootsie roll treats in every bag on orders placed for every customer.

First, I have never had a chicago hot dog so I don't know if these are "authentic", but......They are good as heck! The hot dogs themselves are tasty, and the poppy seed buns are awesome (I love poppy seeds on bread). I got a chii cheese dog with onion and mustard, and they sure did hook it up, not skimpy on the toppings like the "other" hot dog place in town. The people were super nice and put tootsie rolls in our bag (after reading the other reviews I realized they give every customer tootsie rolls so I no longer feel special..oh well lol). The location is crappy though...it's next to big lots on riverside. I wish they could get a location on 41A cause I know they'd get more customers. Great place, try it out!

So, it took a while to 1) find this place, 2)remember this place existed, since I forgot to bookmark it and finally and most importantly 3) find it! The street address lists it as 1057 so you'd naturally assume it's right next to or *GASP* perhaps replaced by, the Dairy Queen. However, it's actually behind the DQ, adjacent to the Save a Lot. I showed up there 30 minutes prior to closing, read the sign that said 'CASH ONLY' and went around trying to find an ATM before it closed, and hoped the owner wasn't a jerk about showing up 15-10 minutes prior to closing. Not only do they have a 'Chi-town' style hot dog but they also had Italian beef. Yeah, it was going to be that kind of night. The owner, was friendly and from Chicago-so nice to actually see that a Chicago style place here is owned by a Chicago native-weird to hear a thick southern accent say 'oooh, it's from Chi-cagh-go' (Chi-cagh-go equals my lame attempt at writing how southerners say Chicago.) We talked briefly about where we were from in Chicago. The hot dog, was delicious, better than any other pretenders outside of Chicago and as good as say, any mom and pop stand back in the Chi. Poppy seed bun, steamed perfectly, hot dog with a nice snap and run through the garden-with plenty of celery salt that made all the veggies stand out. The Italian beef-as explained on the sign for the uninitiated is served 'soggy.' Soggy enough that I decided to wait til I get home to eat it since I unwrapped one foil layer and could see the gravy already coming through. I realized it's the bread that makes a good sandwich-and this was a close to thick Italian bread from Chicago that is possible-the giardineira a nice spicy antipasto mix that again, is pretty Chicago authentic. The cherry on top of all this is that the owner says he and his wife try to give food to a member of the military and today I happened to be that guy thanked me for my service and shook my hand. Chicago style food and very genuine, mom and pop style Chicago hospitality and an appreciation for the military. Terrific.

Finally got around to trying their Italian Beef. I'm not a fan. Too much garlic in the gravy and the bread is not authentic. It's a mushy roll.

I can't say enough about what a treat this place is! My husband and I like to find local gems and boy did we. If you like a good hotdog, this is the place to go. The cute little spot has tables outside to sit but we got it to go. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was and that the owner gave us our meal for free and thanked my husband for his military service. We'll definitely be back!

It's unique to find a place that does Chicago style dogs in TN, much less in a middle of nowhere stand in Clarksville. But if dogs are your thing you should definately give this place a try.

It was best beef I have had. It was very tender and seasoned perfectly. The sandwich was a decent size and was dipped juicy. It was definitely worth finding. I will have to try their dogs next time. They have brought the best Chicago food to the area and I would highly recommend seeking them out. The cost was reasonable, to me, and they only take cash.
