Absolutely love Nutty Sweet Shoppe. They have been in business for years and there's good reason - the food is great and the ice cream is even better. Now I want a nutty sweet shoppe banana split....

There's a reason this place has been in business for so many years. It's good. You can drive up and order from the outside or inside window. Excellent ice cream - hand scooped and soft serve, thus, excellent shakes, sundaes, and cyclones all around. The food is great Prices are very modest for the most part and portions are adequate. Excellent breakfast special $3.25 (the prices was as low as $2.50 at one point, but has increased, I'm not complaining) gets you about 6 bacon strips, or sausage, or ham, plus grits, 2 eggs any way you want them, toast, and jam. Hot dogs are great, everything is pretty good. Not the best seating situation but they do more business with takeouts. They are open long hours, from about 6am to 10pm most nights. They close at 9 on Sundays.

Must say that this was horrible today! I ordered a corn dog for my 19 month old son. It came out burnt and hard and impossible for him to eat. I ordered a bird dog. The chicken was also burnt but it also was about half the size of the bun. I know tenders can come in different sizes but if it's too small to fill up a hot dog bun then add another one. However the coconut ice cream that my daughter got was good! Very different. I really hope the cooks don't fix all the food extra well done.

This has long been one of our favorite restaurants in Anderson. They have super Hot Dogs-All The Way and good Homemade Ice Cream. I also enjoy the good Breakfast with Grits and Hog Jowls.
