This was a really nice Cracker Barrel... As always, the food was really good and our server was so sweet. Probably one of the most on top of things waitress I've ever had :)

Been a long road trip and got tired of fast food. Wanted a real meal and not a meal from a board. Our waitress, Peyton, was very nice and extremely pleasant. The food was what I expected from Cracker Barrel - good! Even my kids cleaned their plates!

We met up with our daughter and a couple of her friends. Got there around 11:00 and the wait was about 5 minutes. Service was quick and she was very attentive to refills. The food was great, as most every time we eat at Cracker Barrel. Food came out hot and quickly. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is one of our favorite chain restaurants because of the experiences we have had there are just like this morning. Great! And the cost is pretty reasonable....about $60.00 for five people, not including gratuity.

"Well, get your money back. I got fried chicken right here. Come on, 7-0, try this." -- Ray (2004) Road trip eats never seem complete without a stop off the interstate at Cracker Barrel - it seems a must. In the South, you see them every few exits, and for miles they are taunting you and you can taste the hashbrown casserole miles away. What is it they put in that thing anyway? This trip was no different and we just had to stop. This was not my first stop at this location as I am a regular commuter to Charlotte, thanks to my job. But this was my first time getting Chas as my waiter. A chipper fellow who was happy to have us as his table and he even knew of Yelp (not common in the smaller towns in the South). He was quick to take our drink orders as we had to decide what we wanted to eat and perused the menu. Being at a CB on a Sunday was foreign to me as I am usually driving during the week. We were all famished and our 25 minute wait did not help - we were hoping showing up before noon that we would miss the church crowds, but alas, we were mistaken. Chas was back quickly with our drinks and we ordered food. I had to go for the Sunday fried chicken - when would I get this opportunity again? It came out very quickly and was succulent and delicious. But damn, only 2 sides instead of 3?! Sadly, only 1 order of hashbrown casserole for me this trip. But as usual, I left with half my food to eat for dinner later. As usual, the food was delish and the drinks were kept filled. The place was crazy busy being a Sunday and paying was slow. The table was wet when we sat down, but clearly it had been wiped down with a (probably) clean-ish rag. But I try not to think too much about those things. Over all, good for a CB experience. And my dinner was equally yummy.

Maybe it's just me but service in the south is generally really slow. That's not the reason for the one star though. Try: - makes you walk through the store before you get seated - burnt grilled cheese from kids menu (literally black..) - bad tasting lunch combo (extremely dry salad) - if you want to pay by credit card, you have to go wait in line with the rest of the customers purchasing items from the store I went out of my way to come here because I remember having a good experience a few years ago, but I don't think I'll be back again for a long time. Maybe breakfast will be better.

Iama Critic Rating - Cracker Barrel - 3 Stars 126 Interstate Blvd, Anderson, SC Overall: Snowmageddon hits the upstate. All the restaurants are closed, except Cracker Barrel. That ought to be worth a star. But sadly the good cook must have stayed home, because my experience was nothing like my last trip to this Cracker Barrel. $8.49 - Grilled Chicken Finger Veggy Salad - 3 Stars The last time I had this salad it was a thing of beauty. This time it had no hardly any spinach, just iceberg lettuce. And the chicken was meager compare to my last salad. It just wasn't as good as last time so it looses a star! $8.49 - Spice Rubbed Pork Chop - 3 Stars Ordered this pork chop with hash-brown casserole and dumplings. This is a new item that is on the "light" menu. And it is light because the pork chop is only a 1/4" think maximum. Wish I had known that or I would have ordered the breakfast chops. Nevertheless the entree was good, it just wasn't great.

Fathers Day every restaurant in the area was packed was anticipating a long wait no-matter where we ate, was pleasantly surprised that we were seated almost immediately (long enough for them to bust a table). The place was completely full but there wasn't a long wait for food. I had the Chicken fried chicken (my fav on the menu) never a bad choice, always delicious. My son had the Country fried steak with gravy and for a very picky 14 year old he devoured it! I didn't try it but if he ate it, it had to be good. My husband ordered the pan fried catfish with pecans. (this is why they did not get 5 stars) This item was not appealing to look at, it looked honorably and didn't taste much better. My husband is known as the trash compactor in the house he will eat anything that no one else will, so for him not to like it or even finish it says a lot about this dish. However I blame him a little cause any true southerner knows there is only one way to cook catfish :) We normally don't order dessert but we decided to order one since it was Fathers day and share it. Apple Dumplings covered with Pecan Streusel with Vanilla Bean Ice cream n Apple topping (3.99) and Oh My God this was the best dessert I have ever had!!!! First off it was huge, to much for all of us to eat. The flavors just melted together and had a perfect little party in my mouth. My taste buds had a mini O at first bite. I can't believe they are only charging $3.99 for this!!!!

Easter Sunday. Service was a bit off. Coffee served slowly. Forgot the salad. The steamed veggies were not an adequate serving size. Forgot the extra plate. They were out of sweet potatoes and they wanted to charge me more of a baked potato. Oh well, the balance of the food was good. Not our best experience at a cracker barrel.

Love CB. Eat at them when ever on road trips. This CB was a fuster cluck. Plates came to us mixed up and not the way ordered. Very very poor showing.

It's a chain restaurant, but otherwise it's consistently good and the servers are all friendly. It's great for kids and families.

This Cracker Barrel delivered your typical Cracker Barrel experience. I came here for breakfast with 6 other family members last weekend. We were seated quickly and service was pretty quick. One of the waitresses was a little rude to my husband and father-in-law, which was unusual for Cracker Barrel. Though we weren't very offended, it was a bit of an awkward experience. However, despite that, the food was very tasty, and we all left very full and satisfied.

We were seated and waited 12 minutes before a server finally asked if we had been taken care of. We said that we had not and we were only in for dessert. The server told us that the only dessert they had was peach cobbler, that all other desserts were sold out. Since we had come in for a chocolate dessert, we left empty handed. There were three (3) servers in the area where we were seated and it took 12 minutes for someone to finally come to us, only to tell us that they didn't have what we came in for. Epic fail.

When I think of Cracker Barrel, comfort food is the first thing that comes to mind. I can't come to CB and not order biscuits and gravy, it just seems wrong not to get them! The fried apples were also amazing, I refused to share them with my friends! The food isn't gourmet, but it's pretty tasty and the portions are very filling, but service is only so-so. This was a nice pit stop on our drive. We also enjoyed browsing the fun items in the country store, picking up a few snacks for our trip.

Our wait time was 15 mins & our waiter was friendly. My food was good but my hash browns weren't piping hot. But at least they taste good. As far as smoking goes thats banned so I didn't smell any smoke.

I love Cracker Barrel. There, I said it. I'm not sure I've ever been to a Cracker Barrel and not ordered breakfast. Eggs, bacon, and hash brown casserole is about as good as it gets. Not long after we hit the road from Atlanta, Matt and I realized that his parents were camping just inside South Carolina and we'd be able to meet them for lunch. They suggested Cracker Barrel, and I'm always OK with that. They told us there was a smoking section (which we did NOT want), and we could smell a little smoke in the restaurant, but it wasn't all that bad. Better than many Cracker Barrels I've been to in the past. But really, why is anywhere still allowing smoking in restaurants? I can't remember the last time I was in a place where you could still smoke inside. But I digress. Breakfast was excellent. The hash brown casserole seemed a little... thin. Like maybe they'd changed the recipe or made it in a larger pan the recipe called for or something. But it was still amazingly good, and I probably didn't need the thicker piece anyways. The server was super nice, and we felt well taken care of. The only problem we encountered was when we tried to pay. Matt's mom had a coupon or a gift certificate or something, and for some reason the woman at the register just could not figure it out. Oh, and there were tons of cars parked in the RV parking spaces. People, those are for vehicles that don't fit in regular spaces. I had to park the moving van across 4 spaces. Other than that, though, I have no complaints.
