No stars. This place ruined our night. After two and a half hours and three phone calls to check up on them, they pretended to be confused about the pizza delivery location. Really? I don't accept that excuse, especially as 1) they never owned up to the confusion and called to clarify; 2) we were only ten minutes away and clearly within the usual delivery area; and 3) GPS is ubiquitous in the twenty-first century. Short version: this is an unprofessional establishment that should be avoided like the plague.

Oh Midway how I hated you. Lemme count the ways... It took over an hour to make two large and one small pizzas. The pizza- they said a large was normal for a large but it's more like an 8 slice medium at most pizza establishments... They were made in what looked like to be those pans they use at Pizza Hut or Dominoes or better yet Chuck E Cheese, the pizza was no good as my dad said, no good at all... It lacked flavor immensely and when we asked for it well done they gave us a half baked round ca-ca thing... The mushrooms were canned-that's the end of that. The pineapple - canned. Very doughy pie. And the dough wasn't fluffy and airy, very dense. $37 dollars and they said they gave us a discount because we waited so long, and a free Pepsi. Who drinks Pepsi?! I wish I could give them no stars. The staff were rude and angry, my mom got so startled at one girl throwing around the pans that she asked the worker if she was ok. The worker simply replied with a stank eyed glare.

The food is decent, but the customer service is terrible. They are rude on the phone, make the wrong orders, and are not even apologetic when told about the mistake. We will not be ordering from Midway again.

I will NEVER again order from here. I called today to place an order and the girl on the phone was very rude to me. After rudely telling me she couldn't hear me (because there were people on her end yelling in the background) she hung up on me. Very poor customer service.

I just ordered delivery from Midway Pizza... ehhh I have had better. The buffalo chicken wrap, man I don't know wtf to do to get a decent one around here? Maybe I will just start selling them myself. Anyways, the chicken was kind of ruby like the grilled frozen patties from sysco. Not cool guys. I definitely wont order from here again. Another waste of money!

Best Regular grinder in town. The staff is friendly.

This is my go-to meatball grinder place in a town full of Italian restaurants. Best around. And since they stuff the stuffed peppers with the same mixture - ditto on those!!! Service is quick, the people are friendly, and there is a great homemade-ness about the food. If they delivered, I would never have to leave my house! ; )

Folks, it's called Midway PIZZA and its the best pizza in town. If I had a nickel for every sheet pizza I've been a part of then I could take early retirement! The Grinders are also top notch as they are far from those thin dainty ones you get at a place like Subway. I'm partial to the turkey; Fresh thick grinder rolls, tons of meat and they're never stingy with the fixings. The staff are always friendly and on their game no matter how busy it gets. I've never had a bad experience there which is why it's always a go-to when we're heading to the beach, summer pops or if we simply don't feel like cooking that night.

Did a huge cheese sheet pizza for kid's party delivered. Probably the worst pizza I've ever had, but cheap enough for a kid party, and the 13 kids at the party didn't complain. They did come through with a giant sheet though vs all the other places in town you need to order their sheets a day in advance...

I have been a customer of Midway since the 70s when I was just a kid that got to run next door for a slice when my mom was working the convenience store counter. The pizza place was sold, along with the original recipes, and the new owner, Joe Iorlano, is a good old-fashioned hard working small business owner. This place is getting more popular everytime I get the chance to come back and visit, and the reason is evident in the quality of their food across their menu. The grinders are amazing. The battle in Westerly since I was a kid was between Midway and Reale's grinders, specifically the "Regular", which is a cooked salami with provolone, lettuce, tomato and vegetable oil. In my opinion, Reale's is good, but Midway is the clear leader with fresh ingredients, incredible bread, the perfect balance of meat to vegetables, and shredded lettuce that has just the right crunch. For less than you have to spend at a drive thru, and with more quality and down home goodness than Subway, you get a stick-to-your-ribs lunch from a pizza and sandwich shop that is a town staple. The pizza is fantastic thanks to the homemade tomato sauce and ample cheese. The pepperoni and olive is my favorite although I have been known to partake of the meatball and extra cheese. As my parents get on in age, I introduced them to getting the homemade sauce by the quart with some of the Midway famous, giant meatballs, and we prepare our own pasta rather than having Mom cook all day. I wouldn't say it's better than Mom's, but she might be reading, so read between the lines! :) In a town of great Italian food and many pizza joints, Midway is on the top of my list. Ask for a large regular grinder, extra cheese, toasted and tell them the guy from Los Angeles sent you.

Great grinders! I'm partial to their BLT & chicken cutlet. Just make sure when you're ordering to tell them if you want it toasted! The pizza is so-so. I've had some great pizza here & some not so great. It's a little on the greasy side but I do like their cheese & sauce. They do full sheet (& half sheet) pizzas which are great if you're having a large function. Midway is take out only & they just started delivering. It's in my 2nd tier of pizza places but definitely good.

I try to be charitable when I write a review, but we got an egg plant grinder last night that is changing my tune. The worst grinder ever! I put it aside and heated up something leftover from the fridge. This place is busy, so something there must be good. I grew up in an Italian town so I know a bit about grinders. First time, last time for me.

Whenever were in Westerly we stop in and order a quarter sheet - even if it's just cheese its always fresh and 110% tasty!! Price wise they are the best in town for the pizza and service they provide. They'd make my new year if they started deliveries!! Thanks Midway!!

In the area this is definitely the best pizza around. Thick crust, good sauce, lots of cheese! I work around the corner in Pawcatuck, CT so I go to Midway to pick up lunch often. They get busy around noon so call about 30 minutes before you want to pick it up. I hear the grinders are good too, but I can't stop ordering that yummy pizza to try them! Also around Super Bowl time they had a little Giants flag hanging up, which automatically makes them awesome!

I was told my grinder would be ready in 25 minutes. When I arrived 30 minutes after ordering they didn't even start making my chicken parm. The woman making the grinders complained out loud that she was "sick of making grinders". After waiting 10 minutes and listening to more complaining I finally got my grinder. It ended up being a previously frozen chicken cutlet or more like a chicken nugget. I also observed grinders being put in the oven with shredded lettuce on it?! I would not recommend this place as there are a lot better options in the area.

I can't believe no one has reviewed Midway yet. This place is a Westerly standby, it has been around for almost 60 years. Midway has been a family affair for me - myself, my mom, my aunt and my cousin have all worked there over the years. The fresh pizza slices are to die for and much better than the round pizzas. Thick crispy crust with great sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. The meatball grinders are always a fan favorite. I also highly suggest getting a cold cut combo grinder (ham, genoa and salami) with cabbage instead of lettuce. The cabbage is sweet and crunchy and an unexpected twist on a classic italian grinder.

Great pizza and grinders. My personal favorites are the meatball grinder and the sheet pizzas. We order the sheet pizzas for every special event.
