I like this place a great deal. Very good food, always hot and fresh, and very good service at a reasonable price. Can't say that about alot of eateries. Food style reminds me of Chinese restaurants growing up in the way they prepare and serve their dishes. Very clean and traditional, i have made this a local favorite because I like to give my $ to businesses that earn and deserve it!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The egg rolls were so nasty we couldn't eat them. My orange chicken smelled and tasted like a dirty dish rag. The couple of bites I took ended up in my napkin. NEVER AGAIN!

I think i've been spoiled by the Chinese food in California. this place has good reviews from many people I know (non-asians) and the establishment has a number of awards (5+) stating that they are the best (voted the best??) chinese (and 'oriental') restaurant in the area for like the last 8 yrs or something. but... i wasnt impressed and doubt I would be going back again. we got there at a slow time and by the time our food arrived, we were the only table. they had fried wontons and sauce already on the table (a bit suspicious... they were on other booth tables as well). they were in plastic bowls... and our soda was served in a similarly colored tumbler... just odd. ;o) the one waitress was very ESL and had difficulty understanding our order 'fried rice w/no shrimp. chowmein w/no seafood or shrimp...' but a second waitress came up and reconfirmed our order and understood us perfectly. the potstickers were not as gingery as I like. they were ok. the fried rice was a bit too saucy for me and it had the ubiquitous white onions (so common to York fried rice) and bean sprouts. they also use slices of chicken breast, (versus my favorite super tender mystery chicken chunks). the highlights of the place were the cashew chicken (listed on the menu as 'chicken and cashewnuts' ;o)) and the beef broccoli. my boyfriend devoured both dishes and was ready to have more. they were nice, good service. the place was clean.. the food quality was a-ok. but i probably wouldnt go back again. (still trying to find a favorite chinese restaurant! :o))

The food I got was ok. The egg rolls were good with a moderate amount of curry. The sweet and sour pork was dried out and just not that good. Our waiter had a good sense of humor, though. He gave us 'Chinese' water and 'Chinese' ketchup (sweet and sour sauce). I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again though.

Ate here before seeing a movie at the theatre across the street. We were craving good Chinese and sadly we were slightly disappointed. I ordered the Garlic Chicken dinner combo with white rice, a spring roll and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was excellent and the best part of the meal. Exactly what it should be and served hot with just the perfect amount of spices. The spring roll was grossly over fried and when bitten into the excess oil was flowing out. I ate two bites and couldn't finish the rest. The Garlic Chicken was about average and nothing to rave about. My only complaint was that there was too much sauce which drown out the garlic and vegetables. Overall I've definitely had worse Chinese and would recommend this place if you are looking for a quick dinner. The wait staff was attentive and the food did arrive hot and quickly.

This restaurant is located in a building that used to house a fast food restaurant, and the cool thing is that they kept the drive thru window. The food is always ready within 10 to 15 minutes after placing your order by phone. I used to get food here pretty regularly when I lived around the corner, but I don't make it in quite as often anymore. Either way, the staff is friendly and the one woman still gives me a bad time since I don't see them at least once a week like I used to. I haven't eaten inside too often, but I do know it is nothing special to look at. It probably hasn't been remodeled since they opened, and they are also most likely using the first set of dishes too. Some people might be turned off by that, but I try to judge a place more by the food. I like the food here, but it is by no means the best Chinese food I've ever had. For the price though I have no complaints. One of my favorite dishes here is the chicken and asparagus in a black bean sauce. It's very tasty, but I think the availability depends on if asparagus is in season. The shredded pork in garlic sauce is another of my favorites. Overall I would say if you're in the area and in the mood for Chinese, this is a good bet for some good food. I would not go as far as to say it's a place that is an absolute "must try" though.

I like Wonderful Garden Chinese Restaurant. They have the best cashew chicken around in my humble opinion and their egg drop soup is right up there as well. I have tried their General Tso's chicken and was less impressed with that so I stick with what I like. This is my go to Chinese restaurant.

Food just didn't taste fresh and it wasn't hot. What initially struck when I came in was that the place didn't smell clean! And be forewarned , they charge for soda refills ... R they kidding? A charge for a fountain soda refill?!?!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
